During the tour, you'll get to know more about how life used to be in Stockholm in the 15th and 16th century and about the history of buildings such as the Royal Palace, the Nobel Prize Museum, the Cathedral or the German church. We will start by meeting at the metro station Gamla stan, where we can talk about how the city looks today, and we will then walk around Riddarholmen, the Knight's Island, and make our way through the Old Town, retracing the step of ancient culture that sometimes hide deep, dark and funny secrets.
Jenny was wonderful: entertaining, extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. She speaks four languages fluently (German, English, Swedish, and Czech) and had lots of recommendations for things to do after the walking tour ended. Highly recommend this tour!

Our guide spoke French and English. He was very interesting, funny, knew his history of Gamla Stan and Sweden well. A quick, but fun tour of old Stockholm. The meeting point needs a serious facelift, and we got merged with non- English speaking small group, but in the end we learned cool facts, and the guide Pedro was easygoing and humorous.
Alice was very engaging and knowledgeable. She had superb English and Italian fluency. She was a great communicator about logistics of the meeting point and final location. The timing of the conclusion of the tour lined up perfectly with the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace. We walked approximately 2 miles over the course of 2 hours. The pace was comfortable. The pedestrian streets do have cobblestone, some streets incline or decline, and we did take a set of stairs (which was a very interesting point during the tour!) but nothing unexpected. I would highly recommend this tour!
We never we able to take this tour. The email from Viator had a link to the starting point, which took us with Google Maps to the Royal Palace, inside a guarded area. We opened the link again in Apple Maps, which took us to a statue next to the palace. We connected on WhatsApp with our guide, Jan, and after a series of attempts to find him he suggested we get a refund, which we have requested.

This tour was a great introduction to Stockholm on our first day in town! Our tour guide was informative without being dull or tedious and lingering on things people weren't interested in. We appreciated her focus on legends, pop culture, and other digestible details instead of rattling off historical names and dates. She even brought us to the smallest alley in Europe for a photo op!

Kudos go to our tour guide, Daniela, who went above and beyond for us. Unfortunately, one of her colleagues had called in sick only 2 hours before the tour was to begin, so Daniela had to undertake 2 groups, 1 German & 1 English, and she managed both very well. On top of all that, because my wife & I arrived late due to a mix-up with our driver, she had to direct her attention to advising us as to how to find her. In the end, she found us! Daniela demonstrated a wealth of knowledge with regard to the history of the area -- its buildings -- its stories --- its legends -- its people -- all told with a sense of humour. Moreover, even though English is not her first language, Daniela was easily understood, and the 2 hours we spent with her went far too quickly. At several points during our walk together, she made recommendations as to places to eat or places to purchase certain things -- helpful to us for returning to these places at a later time. I would be very happy if, upon a return visit to Stockholm, we could have the good fortune of having Daniela as a tour guide once again. Daniela, I am now safely back in Canada. Our guide Fleur was great! My husband and I were the only ones to attend so we got lucky and had a private tour with her! She guided us around Gamla Stan, passing through the German part, the Royal Palace and the small alleys, while telling us interesting and fun anecdotes ☺️ we enjoyed it a lot and definitely recommend it!
This was our guide's first time leading the walking tour of Gamla Stan. A young Irish woman with a longstanding attachment to Sweden, she had a wealth of knowledge about the history, architecture, and culture of this neighbourhood. Her infectious enthusiasm, great sense of humour, and Irish accent made this excellent tour an unforgettable experience.
Very interesting tour to learn about Gamla Stan. Our guide was fairly new, as she told us, but she did a nice job showing us around, answering our questions and pointing out things for the next day to help us.

The guide didn’t show up. After a phone call to advise, we’re told to join Italian speaking group. Guide was lovely but d flush was not good. Stood around whilst she spoke in Italian then they stood around whilst talking to us. 50 mins in had only done 2 stops on tour. We pulled out - wasn’t the experience we wanted & wasn’t fair on Italian group. Still awaiting refund……..
