This was a fantastic tour! Got a real feel for Stockholm's history and got all the highlights in during one day before we boarded a cruise ship. Guide was highly knowledgeable and friendly. Having the guide take us through the Vasa was especially worth it. It is a lot of walking but that's what we wanted. Had a great time and would highly recommend for any first timers and especially those on a limited time frame in the city.

Itinerary
Stortorget, or the main square in the Old Town, has always been the heart of Stockholm. If cobbles could speak, there would be so many stories to share! Today, it houses the Nobel Museum, a museum dedicated to one of Sweden’s greatest inventors and his legacy.
The northernmost part of Prästgatan (Priest Street) was once known as Helvetsgränd (Hell's Alley). During the Middle Ages, it was thought that the part that lay northwest of the church was a desecrated resting place for the dead. Storkyrkan (Stockholm Cathedral) is found just around the corner; thus, this part of the street was referred to as Hell.
The Royal Palace is one of Europe's largest and most vibrant places. It is His Majesty the King's official residence, and essential parts of the monarchy's representation take place here. The Royal Palace is also the everyday workplace for the King and Queen, making the Royal Palace of Stockholm unique among Europe's royal residences.
The Stockholm Cathedral is one of Stockholm's oldest buildings, where King Carl XVI Gustav and Queen Silvia said, “I do.” In 2010, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel followed in their footsteps.
Järnpojke is the smallest (and most adorable!) statue in Sweden. The official name of the statue is the Iron Boy (Järnpojken in Swedish); however, he is also known as the “Boy looking at the Moon.”
St George and the Dragon symbolises the battle between Sweden (St. George) and Denmark (the Dragon) in the late 1400s. The sculpture is a bronze copy; the original is found inside Storkyrkan (Stockholm Cathedral) and is made of wood.
Mårten Trotzig is the narrowest alley in Stockholm. At its narrowest point, it is only 90cm wide. Some guidebooks claim it is the narrowest alley in Europe, but unfortunately, that is not true; there is one in Prague that is only 60cm wide. With all certainty, there are alleys in other European countries that are narrower than Mårten Trotzig.
Enjoy a scenic public ferry ride! With two bodies of water in the city centre, ferries are a means of public transport and a perfect spot to get picturesque photo opportunities and visit the world-famous Vasa Museum.
The Vasa Museum is home to the world's only preserved ship from the 1600s. Together, we will skip the line to enter the Vasa Museum and learn about her story. In short, The Vasa was Sweden's most expensive and richly ornamented naval vessel during the 1600s. When the Vasa sailed forth on her maiden voyage, Stockholms stood along the shore to wish her good luck. They were eyewitness to the disaster. The Vasa capsized and sank inside the Stockholm harbour. Today, the Vasa Ship lies before you, 98% intact.

Our tour guide, Elva, was excellent. She shared a wealth of information with a wonderful sense of humor. She respected our interests as well as our pace. The tour itself was the perfect way to begin our visit to Stockholm.
Our guide was lovely, well spoken, knowledgeable and accommodating. Couldn’t have enjoyed the tour more. The walk through Old Town was at a good pace and we thoroughly enjoyed the Vasa Museum! A+
Had a very good knowledgeable guide. Awesome time - well worth it to see and experience. We ended up with a personal guide. Very good thing to experience.
Katrin was very knowledgeable about Stockholm - born and raised there! Highly recommend this tour - great walking pace and lots of information.
Marita was an outstanding tour guide. Very knowledgable and also very engaging. We enjoyed every minute of the tour and would highly recommend it.
This was a wonderful tour. It was cold the day we did it but our guide was great at keeping us moving and stopping for coffee. He was so informative about the city and of course the Vasa Museum. Our guide , David, was very interesting, funny and knowledgeable about everything in the Museum. I would highly recommend this tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with our guide Sofia. She was very knowledgeable and told us so many amazing facts and gave us such a well rounded tour of Old Town and the Vasa Museum. It was a wonderful way to spend the morning getting to know this stunning city and its rich history. We would highly recommend this tour and our guide.
This was a great tour. An easy half day but long enough to be a great introduction to the history of old town and Stockholm in general. Our guide, Veerle was wonderful and tremendously enthusiastic. The ferry ride was short and probably scenic (though our visibility was obscured by a fair amount of snow).
Excellent tour guide. Very personable. Visa ship is a must see in Stockholm. Tour itself was expensive when considering what was provided.
Joel Hedman was our fantastic guide. A great, casual tour of the must-see’s in Stockholm. Joel was very knowledgeable about the city, history and culture. We concluded at the Vasa Museum. There is nothing like it - amazing - and, Joel provided an enlightening introduction before leaving us to explore on our own for hours. Highly recommend Joel and the tour!
Our guide was so nice and very helpful. She has been guiding for 14 years. She pointed out places to go after our tour!
Kevin was a fantastic story teller. We enjoyed every minute. Funny while very informative. Definitely recommendable.
You know you had a great tour when you are sad that it's over which was the case after my walking tour and visit to the Vasa museum with Veerle this weekend. Great stories about the history of Stockholm a perfect orientation to the old city and a great start tour for the Vasa before I had a few hours on my own. Verrle also did a nice job making the touring stories more personal after she new a bit about me. Highly recommend. A+++
We really enjoyed this tour and our tour guide was wonderful! So interesting and informative and easy to talk to. The experience of walking around Stockholm and having the history explained gave us some great overall context to our visit. The conclusion of the tour at the Vasa was an excellent one. Our guide even helped us rearrange our ABBA museum tickets when we realised we were next to it at the Vasa
We loved this tour! Our guide was so pleasant and knowledgeable. She made sure the tour was what we were looking to learn about and the museum was amazing.
Alicia was a dynamic marvelous guide offering plenty of anecdots and showing a deep knowledge of swedish history; thank you Alicia
Great Australian guide who took us around and told us amazing stories! And the Vasa ship is very interesting and stunning to look at.
We very much enjoyed our walking tour of Stockholm Old Town and the Vasa was amazing. Our Aussie guide was very good, very informative and made everything easy.
The guide was great. He told historical stories of the area we were walking in that were engaging and humorous. He also gave us recommendations on other places to see and restaurants to eat at
We booked this tour directly with Our Way because the tripadvisor site couldn't provide an accurate cost. We had a day, July 10, to explore Stockholm while on a cruise. The time spent with Anna, I believe, was well worth it. You simply cannot begin to know what occurred in the Big Square without someone explaining to you. And Anna was perfect, with facts and some humor - like 85 beheadings in the square in one day! The only negative was we had a large group of 19 people which required 2 tour guides, but one didn't show up. Not fair to Anna or us. Being escorted to Vasa via the ferry was also very helpful.
Went to book this tour which was advertised on Travelocity as "From $56.81" and found the actual price for the date desired was $377.72 (for two people)! OVER THREE TIMES the stated price. Don't think so!
We had a wonderful time touring old town of Stockholm and visiting the Vasa museum. Kevin, the guide, was great and very informative. He tailored the tour to our wishes and provided great information about the city and Vasa. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
We really enjoyed our Ourway tour of the Vasa & ABBA museums and old town. We just arrived Stockholm from the states & wanted to use our time before our cruise left. We booked a private tour of old town & the museums since there were no group tours available that fit our schedule. Ourway was excellent at working with us on all the details The guide was nice and knowledgeable. She picked us up promptly and dropped us off at the ship. While a bit more expensive than a group tour it really wasn’t that much more. Fully recommend.
We only had a few days in Stockholm so booked this small group walking tour and our guide was Sean, who was both knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Gamla Stan is very interesting and that is where our tour started. We finished at Vasa Museum nd tickets to this were included in the tour. Would thoroughly recommend.
Our group of 13 were only in port for a short time. Our tour guide gave a great overview of the history of Stockholm and we visited the Vasa Museum.
My brother and I were visiting Stockholm and decided to take a highlights tour. We thoroughly enjoyed this comprehensive experience. Our guide Anna was immensely knowledgeable, unquestionably kind, and genuinely interested in Swedish history. My brother and I highly recommend this tour. Great job!

A great tour! Jim (our tour guide) was funny and very informative, definitely recommended for anyone visiting Stockholm abd would like to know a lot of info about the Old Town and the Vasa! 5 stars

-2°C - perfect for a walking tour ;) ! Gustav is the perfect guide. He is an engaging guide. He communicated historical information in an easy manner. We spent the appropriate amount time at each location. We enjoyed the sequence of the tour. Ending with the ferry ride to the Vasa Museum, is the perfect ending.

Our guide, Marc, was excellent. He was insightful and interesting

We did not get to have this tour. We were not told that we needed to get to pick up site on our own and by the time we found this out it was too late to meet our 10:00 scheduled tour.

Alain was was very knowledgeable and well versed in the history of Stockholm. We also appreciated his flexibility to indulge some of our shopping desires and local culture.

Great tour. Our guide Samuel was very informative and knowledgeable.

It is a wonderful museum, not only because of its main piece, which is a colossal ship, but also because of the rest of the collection and the explanations given to us. I loved!
Absolut empfehlenswert!!
