Old Town Tour Of Stockholm

This guide could not communicate effectively to explain history and what we were seeing or he didn’t know anything. We learned more from other tour guides who we crossed paths with. What a waste of our precious time in Stockholm and our money. I want a refund.

That our tour guide didn’t show. Very disappointed in Viator as I sent numerous messages to confirm the tour with no response.

they canceled on me on saturday and wanted to move the tour / did not find a replacement guide. and i still have not gotten a refund.

I booked tour via Trip Advisor, it was expensive tour in comparison to the other available old town tour on Trip Advisor (more than double price). Guide didn’t show. I called agency and they were surprised that I have booking. They sent ad hoc this very nice guy, but I am not even sure he was real guide as he had very simple story: we are here, this is xy and moved on. Scarce history details, just a few facts…We could have more information if we just googled a bit. This guy was really trying and I dont blame him, Agency should have educated him. Very dissapointing experience even though we found Stocholm city center very beautifull.

We ended up with just the two of us on the tour, which was a pleasant surprise. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable. However, the tour lacked any structure or flow. It just felt like we were wandering aimlessly and heard interesting tidbits about the old town. I don’t feel as knowledgeable about Stockholm, as we usually would after one of these tours

Awful, tour guide didn't even bother to show up so didn't get to experience the tour. Waited over 45 mins for the tour guide. Bwing a soli travellwr first time in Stickholm, I found this shocking! Terrible service.

Great tour of Gamla Stan with focus on local favorites. Met under the 200-year-old chestnut tree. We were early and so was our guide which resulted in some extra time on our tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and took great care of us. Afterwards had dinner at Under Kastanjen Bistro which was not only convenient but also delicious and delightful.

Host never showed up did not answer phone either viator and I both reached out to no avail. Waited at meet up location for 20 min for or and nothing u was there prior to start time

We had a great experience with the young guide. Though I had some difficulties in walking he graciously adjusted the tour to cover the most attractive and the important items. There are a good number of things to see. He also explained the history behind each monuments and structures. I would recommend this tour though I was not sure that it was a walking tour.

The Old Town tour of Stockholm was shorter than expected, ending about 40 minutes early, and the guide focused more on chatting with us than sharing the city’s history. We had hoped for a bit more of a guided experience.

Tour guide never showed up. We arrived at the meeting point promptly at 6pm and the tour guide was not there. We waited 1 hour and still no guide. There was also no contact by guide.

Our tour guide Adam did a great job explaining the fascinating history of Old Town Stockholm as well as a great variety of all of the sights of Old Town. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

We met Adam at the chestnut tree . We got lost and deeply appreciate him coming back to find us . My sincere comment is his knowledge was very basic . A tour guide should be more knowledgeable.

Our tour guide did not show. Some other guide who happened to be there and could not find his party arranged on the fly to take us on the walking tour instead which was very nice of him, except that his tour was terrible. We meandered around old town and he told us some random facts and things but was not very coherent and seemed more interested in just chatting about life. We did not get much out of this tour I'm sorry to say.

Adam, our guide was very friendly and had a lot of insight to the city. It was nice that we were the only ones in the group and it felt very personalized. It felt like we got to know Adam and his knowledge of Stockholm. Not sure this tour is for everyone as we felt like we were talking to a friend on a walk through the city.

Sara was very informative as she told us about Old Town history in a way that was engaging and inspiring. Would highly recommend this tour with Sara!

Nadia gave us a great tour. Very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and at the end of the tour led us back to the train station

The tour was solid and we enjoyed walking around Old Town. Our guide, Nadia, was still fairly new and while she knew the tour, she will benefit from a wider knowledge of Stockholm's history at some point. But, as always, we got a good tour and learned a lot about Stockholm's Old Town and its history.

Tour guide never showed up after 30 mins of waiting, no response to chat. Perhaps an emergency but guest should have been notified.

Sara was an excellent guide. She was super knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn a bit about Old Town.

I was the lone traveler so no problem interacting with guide She was knowledgeable. Only issue was finding the meeting place since cars cannot enter the Old Town, you are dropped off and must use the GPS to find the way.

Tour guide did not show up. We tried calling the WhatsApp number, no one answered. And then the excuse was "he had the wrong time."

I was really looking forward to the tour but was wildly disappointed with it. Little info provided. I learned next to nothing. Tour guide was incredibly nice but didn’t provide much history about old town. I feel it was the most haphazard tours I’d been on. I could gain just as much walking around on my own. I’d very happily pay money for a good tour, and have before but, I feel I completely wasted my money. There’s so much to Old Town that could’ve been explored and explained. I am so disappointed by how little I got from that tour. Biggest let down of my two week European trip.

We really liked Stockholm! Our tour was informational and we learned a lot. But the guide wasn’t local so it didn’t feel as genuine to us (sorry, but true). Would’ve preferred a Swedish or at least Scandinavian guide.

Guide never showed up. Waited 15 mins. Contacted Aviator for refund. And went thru their live chat, which was a lot of back and forth. Said they initiated refund but no excuse or reason given for the guide not showing or contacting me prior

Very nice tour. I was one of only four guests, which was lovely. Natia was lovely, and very knowledgable. This was a great way to really appreciate the Old Town, beyond just walking around by yourself. I got a good feel for the history, and saw a lot of interesting things I wouldn't have known to look for on my own.

The guide did not show up hence the bad review. No communications at all from the tour operator which was very frustrating as we could have booked another tour if they had cancelled prior to the time. Just a waste of time for us and really disappointed. One positive was that the payment was refunded once I requested it.

Great fun. Informative tour. Lots of interesting history. We had time to stop at many different talking points and ask questions.

This tour should be worth $10. $45 is an absolute rip off. Just walking around town with 20 other people. You can even do that in a self guided tour.

The girl that was did the tour Was so soft-spoken and shy you couldn’t hear her half the time. Had to stand right over to even hear her

We had a lovely tour, and it ended up being just the two of us! Our guide was SO knowledgeable, kind and willing to share so much about local history, culture and anything we asked. Highly recommend this tour. You'll learn and appreciate so much more than you would on your own on a walk through the neighborhood.

Our tour guide was EXCELLENT!!! He was very knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting. Definitely would recommend this tour.

Our guide was very knowledgeable but soft spoken. The maximum group size was supposed to be 15 but was slightly larger at 22. Most of the other participants were college exchange students & 2 chaperones who often talked amongst themselves while the tour guide was speaking - making it even more difficult to hear her. Sticking to the maximum of 15 people and giving the guide a microphone would have helped.

Our guide, was informative, and knowledgeable. We had an amazing 2 hours with her and were very impressed with what we did and saw.

Nadia was an excellent guide! Her knowledge about the Old Town area was really good and she made it interesting to listen to her. I enjoyed hearing about all the history about the buildings and how important they are to the history of Stockholm and Sweden.

My Uber took me to the address on the ticket in plenty of time but there was no restaurant or tree to help find the guide. I wandered around trying to find someone and finally gave up and did my own walking tour of old town without the history lesson.

When Natalie met us under the chestnut tree we were the only 2 sightseers! She was so kind to continue with the tour, despite the low numbers. She guided us round the old town Gamla Stan, informing us of the dark and lighter times in Stockholm. Her personal recommendations at the end of our tour were greatly appreciated.

Booked tour same day. Went to meet up point at required time and no one showed up. Messaged tour operator with no response. Was with my dad and I guess it wasn’t worth it if it was only the two of us so it got canceled late. Not worth it, pick another tour service

Charlie our guide was so informative and engaging, particularly learning about the dating of the buildings, a great 2 hours!
