That was really exciting to get know the nature, plants and making fire.

Itinerary
We will track animals at the surroundings of Stockholm's national forest. Starting from our office at 18.00 and out until 22.00, earlier in winter time. We will have plenty of time to get the chance to see Swedish iconic wildlife, make a fire and enjoy a nice dinner cooked on wooden fire. We will start by minivan through an area where we can see if any animal is awaiting for us. We’ll continue walking in the forest, around a lake where we know that there’s a great animal activity. During the tour we will have time to talk about the different animals one can encounter in Sweden while in nature, their behaviour, their habits, what they eat, how and where to spot them and much more. Bring your questions along. We will have a break for a dinner before scouting the forest again.

We had such a great time! The whole experience was nice, would recommend to get away from the city for one night!!! Our guide was Tibeau and he was very great, learned a lot from him and laughed the whole evening :)
You can see fantastic forest with rode deer horses moose and wild boar . The guide is professional very friendly polite and ready to help to do his best . The falafels and the bread were delicious. The coffee not good .
Had a fantastic time walking through the snowy forest. We crossed a frozen lake and spotted some wildlife along the way. Wrapped up the day with a cozy campfire dinner.
Excellent experience! Beautiful short and easy hike. Great dinner - they were able to accommodate our dietary needs on short notice.
We had an amazing wildlife safari near Stockholm! Our guide was fantastic – very knowledgeable and engaging, always explaining about the plants and animals around us and even showing us what’s edible in the woods. The short hike uphill rewarded us with a beautiful view, and he always made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the trip. His positive energy and great spirit made the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to see wild boar, deer, and even moose with a calf – truly unforgettable!
The only reason I docked a star from this review is that we didn't see a whole lot of wildlife (some birds, deer) -- which is the nature of an experience like this; I just literally enjoyed it a little less for that reason. However, the tour and guide were fantastic. We got to the park and had a beautiful hike, foraging mushrooms and berries. The hike itself could be a bit difficult for some, so if you have any issues getting around, it might be an issue. However, it was beautiful and not something we could have done on our own. Then we went to the water and had a delicious dinner by the Baltic -- 5/5 for that portion. Afterwards towards dusk, we went around looking for wildlife, and we saw some, but not a whole lot, and not much variety, either. Just luck of the draw. The guide was very friendly, remembered our names, and clearly very knowledgeable about the outdoors and the area. He knew where to go, the best timing for everything, and how to hurry people along without being demeaning or rushing us too much. A really calming presence, too. I really enjoyed talking to him. If I could rate this a 4.5/5, I would. A really unique experience not far out of Stockholm, but felt lightyears away. Thanks for the tour!
My family enjoyed an amazing evening adventure with Daniel! Daniel made it so fun for our kids (age 8 and 10) We saw too many deer to counts, a moose and some beaver ruins. We had a nice hike and fun fireside meal. So amazing to be outdoors in this beautiful country! Highly recommend!
Marcus led our group on a fantastic tour of nature and wildlife viewing. The hike was customized to the ability of the group and the promise of adventure was definitely delivered! Marcus helped us (literally!) blaze a new trail for stunning views of the inlet, all while teaching us about the plants we were walking through. We even got to try some of the berries! The dinner was delicious and after a brief introduction, the group was able to start the fire that we cooked on. The wildlife viewing was great, and we got to see deer, a hare, and wild boars. The group dynamic was excellent and Marcus was such a knowledgeable and fun guide. I highly recommend both the tour and the guide!!
We had an exceptional time on the tour with Marietta. She was so friendly and warm throughout and went over and above to make us have a very enjoyable experience. She knows her flora and fauna and was so helpful in pointing out things that we otherwise would not have noticed. We even came across a Moose on our tour and Marietta helped us navigate our path around him safely while still being able to see him go about feeding and drinking at the lake. From driving us to the park, setting up the fire and amenities, cooking for us, leading us as we trekked though the forest, and being a great conversationalist she did it all so well. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was the highlight of my stay in Sweden.
Great wildlife tour! Saw many deer, a moose, and other wildlife. Our guide Maria was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Campfire dinner was wonderful.
This outing was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our group was small which was perfect and everyone had such great senses of humor. We saw many deer, rabbits and even saw 4 moose! The dinner cooked over the campfire was very good. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Stockholm!
Our guide Daniel took us in the woods outside Stockholm at dusk to spot some wild animals. We encountered a wild Moose with its baby. We lit a fire and enjoyed a cold dinner in the piece and quite of the forest.
The park location was very pleasant to walk through, saw the evidence of beaver activity, sight3ed some Deers and rabbits.
Good calm and relaxed non tiring hike, our guide took care of us and answered all our questions and shared his stories and experiences.
There were less animals out and about because it was winter, but we still got to see plenty of deer and even some beaver activity. The hike through Tyresta National Park is beautiful, and our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Although the guide was impeccable and the experience was interesting, the animal sanctuary part was not impressive. You can hardly see any animals, and we felt the price was far too high for what was offered. I do not recommend this visit at this price, especially for those who truly want to appreciate the country’s wildlife.
Very nice tour to the national forest. Saw some deer and birds. Had some very nice fika over a woodfire at an icy lake. Nice guide talked about flora and fauna. Guide knew a lot about Tyresta and Sweden. Have a us some nice tips for other activities aswell. Afternoon well spent.
This is a really great experience out of the city. Lovely walk at the lake. Fun to see the big hare, big reinseer and boar. Host is fabulous, very pleasant, knowledgeable and punctual. Highly recommend.
Everything was fab! From the moment I booked (very last minute) to the end of the hike everything was great. Probably the best moment of my stay in Sweden.
We enjoyed the excursions with one exception, the river cruise was dreadful. Vouchers were helpful but not always necessary.
The trip was so exciting! We got the opportunity to spot some deers, foxes and other wild animals. The guiding and chatting was great, and we had a really fun experience.
Was good to get out of the city for one evening out of four nights in Stockholm. If you like forest bathing and are willing to take a chance seeing moose (we saw none) this is a pleasant evening
The tour guide was reay kind and we had a lot of great conversations. We had a "private" tour with our guide Marrieta. It was an amazing experience! We saw 3 mooses and a young one! We also saw beautiful deer, frogs, etc. I recommend this tour to everyone!!
My wife, nine-year-old son, and I had a fantastic experience on our wildlife safari in Tyresta National Park. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable about the area’s flora and fauna and kept us engaged from start to finish. We highly recommend this experience for anyone interested in connecting with Sweden’s natural beauty.
Amazing tour, had a great time with Ellie, very casual, funny and we even got to see 2 Moose near the end of the tour! As well as plenty of deer
I went on the tour with Ellie and Daniel, and I was blown away by how knowledgeable and entertaining the guides were. Daniel was exceptionally well versed in his knowledge of the area; and Ellie, whilst new to the team, was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and friendly. I would say this was worth the trip if you are in Stockholm and fancy leaving the city to be around nature.
This was a beautiful hike and Andrew was an excellent guide! I went on this tour solo but I left it feeling like I was with friends :) We saw many deer and even a fox, picked some berries along the way, learned a lot about the nature and wildlife of Sweden (beavers are so interesting!), and ended the evening with dinner by a bonfire. The forest itself was beautiful and felt like a different world, completely green and covered in moss and berry bushes. Next time I’m in Sweden, I will absolutely book another tour with True Nature Sweden! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
Excellent tour and guide (Marietta and Lucas). We saw so much wildlife (including a moose and a lot of roe deer). The tour guides were knowledgeable and engaging. They provided some interpretation during the hike, which added a lot to the hike. Even though it rained the whole time, it was well worth it! Highly recommend this tour.
Fabulous time with an awesome guide, Andrew. Saw lots of deer and other wildlife. Had a lovely time sitting around a camp fire talking and eating a dekicious light meal. I would highly recommend this tour. Just take some mosquito repellent!
Had a fun wildlife tour. Got to see beautiful nature under an eve ing hike. I was lucky to see moose and saw deer and horses!
Our guide was Lucas was really informative and enthusiastic showing me and my partner the Swedish forest and it was really interesting looking for animal tracks, poo and evidence of beavers! We unfortunately didn't get to see any elusive moose but saw lots deer and birds from the vehicle. It was also really nice to have a fireside 'fika' - thank you for the specially sourced vegan treats! The meeting point was easy to get to from the city centre and we were dropped off at the station afterwards. Would recommend as nice break from your city break!
Lucas was an amazing guide. He knows a lot about nature, traces and animals. We laughed with and learned a lot from Lucas. Thanks!
The best tour with an amazing guide who really knows about the wild life and respects the nature. Book this activity you won't regret it
Really great and personal experience! We were in fact just the two of us and the guide. The experience is really well designed ! After a car drive from the office to the nature reserve we startet our walk in the beautiful winter forest, including a Swedish “fika” at the campfire and looking for some animals at twilight using a night vision device. Highly recommend!
The scenery is amazing. A beautiful landscape, and an informative, friendly guide. We saw many deer and hares later in the evening and enjoyed some good conversation.
Really appreciated tour in the amazing nature of sweden at Tyresta National Park. The guide has been very nice, well prepared and available. this experience is very recommended if you want to do something unusual, far from turistic paths and immerse yourself in the great forests around Stockolm. A bit of luck is necessary to see wild animals (we see some deers only) but all in all we spent really nice time.
Really great experience and our guide was amazing. They will run the tour with as few as two people, which makes it super fun and individualized! I would suggest waterproof hiking boots if going in the fall. Overall; don’t miss this excursion.
We had a wonderful time on the safari. The hike was not very challenging so if you are worried about that please let this put you at ease. the Fika was great and I had a lovely hot chocolate! we then went to spot some animals. We were able to see some deers which were very cute. overall great time!
Amazing excursion! Not only it was beautiful, but we had the best guide. Oskar was supper nice and explaind us all the surroundings and nature very well.
Lucas was a fantastic guide! He was so knowledgeable about the forest plants and animal tracks. He knew where we were likely to see wildlife, and indeed, we saw a fox, hares and a couple types of deer. It was really a wonderful opportunity to visit the natural world outside Stockholm.
Great experience, lovely way to see Swedens nature, the guide Lucas was very good and deserves a lot of praise, very enjoyable experience :)
Had a great evening walking in the forest, a campfire by a lake then a chance to see some wildlife. Didn't see an elk but did see several foxes which is rare. Lucas was great at pointing out different flora & fauna, really enjoyed it.
Excellent guide-Marlon. Enjoyed hike in woods and the whole experience . Met very interesting people on tour. Would recommend it
We had a wonderful time with Daniel! He was friendly and patient with finding animals and taking pictures. He had a great ability to find animals, so we were able to see two kinds of deer, moose and hares. He also gave us some insight into Sweden and it's people.
Exciting experience in a wonderful National Park and also in great company!! Thanks Kevin, best regards from Sara and Giovanni from Rome (Italy)!!
It was a really great experience ! Lucas, our guide, is full of knowledge about the woods, the animals and the flaura ! After meeting at the headquarters, we jumped in the car to a nearby national park where we walked through the woods listening to Lucas explanation. We wandered to a lake where we stopped for some Fika and lighted up a fire, ate and admired the view. On our way back by car, it was time for some animals spotting as the sun was down and animals were coming out of the woods ! Overall, amazing experience with a very knowledgeable Lucas. Definitely recommend !
A beautiful walk through the forest and a lovely guide, Molly, at sunset. We would have liked to see some more animals, but they were shy and hid.
Excellent trip to go into the nature close by Stockholm for a few hours. Very likely to see (little) deers and hares close to the road, do not expect to see other animals. It was relaxing to be in the woods and the variation with the city is nice.
This trip was fantastic and everything we hoped for. Our guide Oscar was very easy to talk to and extremely warm and knowledgeable. The forest was beautiful and it felt great to just exist in untouched nature and experience the gorgeous scenery, and learn a lot along the way. Couldn’t have asked for a better or more enthusiastic guide!
