I would like to say a huge thank you to Julia who was my guide for the Moose and Wildlife Safari a couple of weeks ago! This experience was really worthwhile and definitely made the Stockholm section of my trip. Julia took us to a lovely area in the forest and got us practicing our campfire skills before we ate a delicious and filling dinner. Then, we had a 2-hour walk in the national park, where Julia’s enthusiasm for nature shone through as she stopped us to explain various features of the Swedish landscape, such as plants, geology and signs of animal presence. She answered everybody’s questions with ease and passion. We then stopped at a beautiful spot where she surprised us with fika! After the walk, we went on a night drive to try and spot some wildlife. We were successful with sightings of roe and fallow deer, hares and also a moose! It was quite far in the distance but it was still awesome to see. I recommend wearing hiking boots and go without wildlife expectations - moose sightings are not guaranteed, but we were lucky. We were provided with binoculars so you don’t need to bring your own, and your clothes will have a whiff of campfire afterwards (which I love!). It’s a great excursion and I would definitely do it again next time I’m in Stockholm!

Our knowledgeable local guide will provide you with essential details about the evening's itinerary, and you'll also have access to our restroom facilities before embarking on the safari adventure
This is the heart of our wildlife safari experience. We'll gather for a delightful open-fire dinner atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the nearby lake and its natural surroundings. This spot provides the perfect vantage point to savour the endless sunset, with the added possibility of catching glimpses of wildlife grazing in the surrounding fields.

Led by our guide, you'll discover where these animals spend their days, their dietary habits, and other valuable insights into the local fauna and flora.
After enjoying a satisfying meal and having the opportunity to stretch your legs and explore the forest, we'll embark on a drive through the picturesque Swedish countryside in search of local wildlife. Binoculars will be provided for optimal viewing, and if darkness falls, we'll use flashlights to spot any elusive creatures along the way.

It was such a fulfilling trip! Our guide, Julian, took us to explore the forest, where we learned a lot of practical survival skills as well as insightful knowledge about glaciers, landforms, and climate change
We did a Moose & wildlife safari and saw several species of deer, hares, fox and just when I was sure we weren’t going to see one- a Moose! Julie was very knowledgeable and we certainly learned a great deal about the forest, trees and wildlife. Considering her age her depth of knowledge was very impressive. She was also very pleasant and spoke clearly. The campfire dinner was super and although I did not have a go, learning how to start a fire with a fire stick was interesting. I cannot walk too far but hike was completely manageable . Great group and great trip.🙂
A "nice and short walk within the woods" It should be the real name of this experience. The only chance you have to see the wildlife Is during the car trip from their office to the forest. And for luck it's quite common to see at least deers. Then It Is Just a 5 mins walking within the woods to the camp, 15 mins firecamp and dinner, 20 mins walking in circle to see a small lake and back. So It has nothing to do with safari, it's not even a hiking. It's Just a walk, the forest Is of course gourgeous, so you can enjoy It anyway, but do not expect nothing more than this. Not worth it for the price
A wonderful and enriching experience: after a beautiful evening around a campfire, having dinner and meeting new people, we found ourselves setting out to spot moose and deer. 100% recommended and definitely an experience I would recommend to anyone!
I would recommend 100%. Staff was super nice and I saw lots of animals in wildlife: deers, hares, a crane and a moose.
Fantastic trip, very friendly guide, beautiful nature
Great evening spent with Thibault and a nice group of people 😀Spotted 4 mooses and dozens of roe deers and fallow deers for our greatest pleasure, thanks to Thibault's professionalism
🌟Spent a wonderful evening in a small group wandering through the Swedish countryside, learning the local plants, animals and fungi. Spotted deer, wild boar, moose and even a buzzard. Photography heaven. - remember a tripod and/or fast glass. Staff were brilliant and very knowledgable, great meal and excellent value for money.
Very knowledgeable guides who gave great insight into local flora & fauna. Worked very hard to try & locate local animals to make for a great guest experience.
Very knowledgeable guides and great information given about local flora and fauna. Guides worked together to try and locate certain animals to give guests best experience possible
Excellent tour with great guides.
This was nice. We saw deer and a wild boar too. I would have liked to see a moose, but I know it's up to chance. The guide was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about animals in Sweden.
We had an amazing time! Dinner was delicious (always vegetarian), our guide was informative and awesome, and we even saw a moose! Would highly recommend!
If you like a super chill, camping-for-a-few-hours experience, this is for you. It’s more about the journey and convo than a destination. You have a campfire side Swedish snack. Then take a short hike and sit down for hot cocoa and cookies. It’s more about just spending time in nature and connecting with people. Our guide Nora was a sweetheart and it is clear she loves her job. She was very dedicated to finding wildlife for us to view and we saw a lot of deer and wild boar.
Really nice expérience with sightings if moose, deers, wildlife board etc... lonely dinner in the reserve, and a really great walk through the forest. Great guiding, good organisation and overall a very nice outing. Would recommend to anyone who likes outdoors and wildlife !
Magical summer evening with a lovely group of eight people, knowledgeable guide, great food and multiple wildlife sightings. The highlight was spotting a moose with two babies whilst out in the van. The tour is around five hours but staged very well with a good amount of time for setting up the campfire and eating, and short trail walk and then safari in the van. We really enjoyed it - very memorable!
Our guide Julia was great. She took us first to a camp fire place with nice lake views and we had our dinner there. Then we drove away for a little wild hike which was amazing. In the end we finished the evening Safari trip with seeing Moose, deers, boars which is cool. Recommend this trip to anyone who love nature.
Great little trip into the forest outside Stockholm. Saw lots of deer, some boars and a couple great moose sightings. Dinner was wonderful also.
The really competent guide provided us with interesting information about nature and animals in Sweden and the prepared meal around the fire was really good. Through the trip of around 4-5 h the atmosphere in the group was relaxed. Finally the trip ended with happy faces by spotting two Moose 🫎.
Excellent tour with an excellent guide Paul. Lots of local knowledge in a beautiful area south of Stockholm. We were lucky enough to see hares, roe deer, fallow deer, lots of birds, a wild boar and two moose. Really enjoyed the fika and friluftsliv. A great night and would thoroughly recommend.
We had an exceptional safari experience. Daniel our guide made this tour unforgettable. The nice fika during the break, perfect dinner cooked over an open fire But most of all his patience and knowledge explaining all the animals, their behaviour and habitat. The biggest sensation was the northern light on our way back to Stockholm. Unforgettable!!!!
Finally getting around to writing a review of this great evening out from Stockholm. I went with my 10-year-old and it was so great to get out into the country and see the forest wildlife of Sweden. The campfire was fun, it was clear the guides were knowledgeable and really respected nature, and we saw a lot of moose. Really recommend for anyone, but great for families with kids this type of age who are curious about nature.
Although we did not get to see any moose, we saw some deers in the forest as well as tracks left by moose. The trek through snow and ice was challenging but at the same time lots of fun. Our guide Daniel also prepared us a sumptuous dinner in the camping tent. Great experience!
A great winter safari, our guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable. My daughter and I really enjoyed the trip thanks!
It was a great expérience: woods, snow, animals and beautiful dinner. The guide was perfect. A wonderful expérience: i really suggest everybody to live.
Excellent experience in the beautiful snowland forest near Stockholm. Great guides telling about wildlife en trails during the hile and coocking a nice goulash in the tipi on the campfire. After this experience you are hooked to Sweden!
Great trip around the Stockholm countryside, frozen lakes and Forrest’s. Food cooked in a teepee around the campfire. Friendly and helpful guide highly recommended.
Daniel the guide was very knowledgeable and funny, I was there with my two kids (7 and 11) and they loved it, the hike was great, the food was amazing, perfect time spent in nature. Thanks again.
This was a wonderful experience from hiking to the campsite for dinner, watching the moonrise over the Baltic Sea, finding the Roe and Fallow Deer after, plus a few hares and finally wrapping up with a hike through the woods. Greatly enjoyed the entire experience and would recommend
Our experience was absolutely amazing throughout. Our tour guide Daniel was incredible and explained everything to us thoroughly, he was so easy to talk to and almost felt like an old friend. The food and drinks we made on the campfire were delicious. We were lucky enough to see many roe deer, a herd of fallow deer, a few field hares and we managed to spot a cow moose with her two calves just before the tour ended. Myself and my partner were already discussing what experience we want to do next with Greentrails before we had reached our hotel. We cannot thank you guys enough for this experience and the memories it has created :) (apologies for the blur on the photos added, they were taken with a very zoomed in iPhone)
We had a wonderful evening wildlife safari guided by Marcus, although the moose were that evening possibly assembling for another gathering. Marcus learned us - a small group of Belgian, German, English and Japanese tourists - discovering and 'tasting' the forest and the nature of Tyresta National Park, just outside Stockholm. Together we made an 'artisanal' campfire and prepared our dinner. Great evening, to do again when the moose are on the appointment.
A fabulous experience made great by our tour guide Markus. A true superhero. Warrior, hunter, tour guide, chauffeur, chef and all round good guy with a great sense of humour too! His knowledge and experience was vast and no question went unanswered. He scores highly also for his love and respect of his surroundings. The only thing missing from this experience was the Moose, all the other wild life spotted however more than made up for it! Highly recommend this tour!
Our guide was a truly amazing guy with a lot of experience with nature/survivalism. We had very interesting discussions. The food was surprisingly tasty and the little hike was very nice. Overall, very nice location, great tour. And yes, we did see bunch of animals.
We actually had a run in with a moose! Super exciting and memorable. Saw loads of other animals—wild boar, dozens of deer, and had a very committed young guide. Teriffic walk in the woods. Yucky dinner and no water or wine. Just beer and apple juice. Anyway, it wasn’t about the food.
We had a great time with Daniel. He was very knowledgeable. Although we did not see any moose, we saw several types of deer, wild boar and rabbits.
I travel often for my birthday so I am always looking for something different to do on the actual day. This was such a a wonderful experience and better than I could have imagined. We were so lucky to watch a fox in the field during our dinner. And the moose sitting was icing on top.
We participated in the wildlife safari. The guides were very pleasant people with a heart for nature. Unfortunately, we had to ask a lot of questions ourselves to learn more about the flora. We were not so lucky to spot animals, only deer from far. This is not so bad, this cannot be predicted. But we would have liked professional explanations on the walk. The guides certainly had a lot of knowledge about this but we had to take the initiative and ask questions ourselves each time. It was a beautiful forest overflowing with plants and mosses. It seemed like only the blueberry was important to them. We also saw several spiders and beetles but had to look them up ourselves with obsidentify. We would have liked to learn more about Swedish nature, so this was a disappointment for us. For a family of 4, this was a very expensive excursion just to go for a walk in the forest. We were offered a wrap and a drink. This was certainly tasty but this was not really necessary for us, we preferred to spend more time in nature.
Well organised. Nice group of people. Searching for moose is always exciting. We didn't see any moose, but we saw deer, owls. Our guide Marcus told us a lot of interesting things. The campfire and food was fun. We had a lovely time and just outside Stockholm. Nice to do something different when you are in a city.
Best activity we did in Sweden. It is really a must if you like nature and animals. We spotted a lot and it was overall a very fun experience. The guide was also lovely and great at explaining. I can not recommend this activity enough!!!
We had such an amazing evening. Daniel our guide made us feel right at home from the outset. My two daughters aged 6 and 10 loved riding in the front of the van, so that they could get the best view of the wildlife. We saw a moose, wild boar, hares, deer and even a beaver! We learnt so much about the forest, Sweden and the wildlife. Cooking on an open fire was really fun and the food was delicious. We’ve been in Stockholm for over a week and we all said that this trip was our highlight.
We had a Wildlife Safari near Stockholm in the evening. Our guide, Tygo was a real outdoor expert and very friendly. We have made a fire by ourselves, while Tygo was preparing dinner. We really enjoyed the place and view. The dinner was great and we saw a lot of roe deers with our binoculars. After this, we went to the van to spot Mooses. Tygo made a succesfully extra ride to look for a Moose! For all of us it was a very nice experience!
We enjoyed the activity very much. Had to go to a different spot bcs of the rain, but everything was perfect. We enjoyed the nature, the conversation and the food was delicious! We got to see deer and a pair of badgers. Rasmus is a great guide. Highly recommend.
Our guide Tiago was awesome. He was so nice and knowledgeable and you could tell that he really enjoyed being outdoors and teaching people about the Swedish forests. We had a nice campfire and hike. Only thing I would say is that the meal was vegan, I think. It was delicious but some might not be as adventurous in their eating. Otherwise, it was a great experience and awesome way to get out of the city and see some nature.
The camping, fire making and nature walk was great but there was very little time for moose hunt. The guide was new and didn’t spend that much time looking for wild animals. Also the drop off was supposed to be at central station for local subway but he dropped us off at the commuter station which was quite far from the local stop. At midnight it was quite the trek to walk to the right platform
A really great evening, it was fun cooking our Moose burgers over the open fire and in such a lovely spot. We saw lots of deer and eventually a Moose after our guide Jasper kindly extended our time out. It gave us a small taste of wild Sweden.
We are glad to choose Green trails. This was our first trip to the jungle however our guide Victor took care of most of the things.
The experience was amazing. Great time into the forest, nice and good dinner camp, i was really surprised. We saw several animols like deers, mooses... We enjoied this great time.
Lovely evening. Raptors, deer and 3 bull moose! Beautiful sunset ancient runes. Isabelle was awesome!
Great tour with a super nice guide. Isabelle was extremely kind and competent, the hilltop where we had dinner at a campfire was amazing. Great views on the forests and fields below with the best light for photos. We then drove around to spot some of the many animals that populate these areas. Maaaany red and roe deers with the final surprise of an elk.
