The best hotel experience I've had. The front desk was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and bed was comfy. I looked forward to breakfast, as the kitchen staff was so wonderful and interacted with us. We were also on a higher floor, where we could not hear any music and slept well. Whenever I come to Stockholm, I'll be staying at this hotel!
🇺🇸 hyatt property. Appreciate the American owned business 2 star check in something off. We were able to clear things however wasn’t a great experience initially. No snacks in the vicinity is a clear small bag? Nice elevator voice. Beautiful architecture in the 303room, looks like an apartment / home. The art is a little too subtle/weird (to me). WiFi isn’t working. Breakfast, I didn’t have. Nothing special? The gym is in another building - didn’t feel welcomed. Location is prime. Phone in room doesn’t have the typical set up (call for amenities, front desk) and didn’t call after typing digits for outbound call. Flexible check out time. Always appreciated although felt sluggish. Didn’t sleep well here.
Recently stayed at the Story Hotel with my wife. The location is very good, well within walking distance to the old town area and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Some of the highlights include the excellent breakfast offering, good room sizes and friendly staff. As someone who travels a lot for work, having a good fitness center is essential. This is one of those rare hotels that doesn't have one onsite but has a partnership with a nearby hotel that allows you free access. This gym was amazing, and for those of you gym nerds, yes it is full of Eleiko equipment. As a globalist member, I used one of my suite upgrade passes and it was a great space with a small balcony. The outside room noise wasn't as bad as I thought it may be considering the other reviews however it is there and if you're a very light sleeper, it should be definitely a consideration. The only odd omission was the lack of a wardrobe / drawers for your clothes. I forgot to take any photos but you essentially just have clothes rack with a single pole on it with a few coat hangers (in our room one of them you couldn't take the coat hangers off whereas the other one we could). Needless to say this wasn't sufficient for all of our clothing (think underwear / socks) so we just kept that all in the suitcases which wasn't ideal. Is this a deal breaker? No, but just wanted to make you aware and perhaps the standard rooms this isn't an issue, I can only comment on the suite room we had. Overall I'd be happy to stay here again. We enjoyed the close proximity to attractions and restaurants, friendly staff, the breakfast and of course that gym!
We had an amazing stay at Story Hotel Stockholm and couldn’t recommend it more! The location is fantastic, the hotel is spotless, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. What really made our stay exceptional, though, was the outstanding staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely accommodating. Even when the hotel was busy, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Before our trip, we had read reviews mentioning that the rooms were on the smaller side, so we were a little concerned. While the room size wasn’t ideal for us, Sandra and Maria were incredibly understanding and accommodating. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, and their kindness truly made a difference. Throughout our stay, they constantly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and reassured us that they were more than happy to help with anything. Their exceptional customer service turned what could have been a minor issue into a wonderful experience. From the excellent service and delicious food to the unbeatable location and amazing team, Story Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you to Sandra, Maria, and the entire staff for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. I stayed for a week, and it was a great home base for exploring Stockholm. The breakfast was excellent and something I genuinely looked forward to every morning. The rooms are small, but they're charming, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to make decent use of the space. I liked hanging out on the little balcony in the mornings. The best part of my stay, though, was the people. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making my visit enjoyable. They offered great recommendations for places to visit and were proactive about helping improve my experience in ways I didn't expect or ask for. Their hospitality made a memorable stay even better.
