The hotel is wonderful; it has the feel of a country inn. The location provides a beautiful view of the lake as well as immediate access to Hagaparken which is a must-see. The rooms are lovely - beautifully designed and outfitted. The staff is terrific - very attentive and extremely helpful. I highly recommend the hotel and hope to have an opportunity to return.

Great location, and a real plus that they had free parking. I was allowed to check in 30 minutes early at no surcharge which was nice. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The reception staff were oddly stand-offish and not particularly polite, which set a flat tone for the whole stay. As a Swedish expat of 25 years, it was disappointing to find the weakest service I've encountered right here in Stockholm. I've stayed in 50+ hotels over the past 20 years, and this was by far the most uncomfortable bed of them all. The pillows were the thinnest I've ever seen — you'd need to stack three to get any support. I know beds are a personal thing, but I'm very average in height and weight, and within 20 minutes I had back pain, which is something I never normally experience. For a standard room at 2300 SEK, I expected the basics. Yet this is the first four-star hotel I've come across with no coffee machine and, more importantly, no ventilation you can actually control. Room 225 sits literally wall-to-wall with the elevator, and with no soundproofing on the door, you're woken every single time it "dings" — it's so loud it feels like the elevator is inside the room. The blackout blinds are inadequate too. To top it off, rooms 225 and 201 face the highway (and a helicopter route serving the nearby hospital). To escape the constant rush of traffic noise you have to shut the window, but with no ventilation you control, that leaves the room either too hot or too cold. In my case, staying here in early July 2026, it was far too hot. The breakfast was fine. Just fine — nothing that stood out. What was disappointing was the limited selection of bread: mainly baguette and loaf bread, no buns. There was only one type of plain sweet bread for the coffee, and no other sweets. You could hear the staff talking loudly about their private affairs. None of them greeted you either, which is unusual, though I didn't mind that particularly myself. I've dropped this to 1 star. Probably the worst hotel stay I can remember in years. I won't be back.
This is a heritage property and it definitely gives you the “royal” feeling. The bathrooms have been recently furnished and are equipped with the most modern equipment. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the lake. But the rooms need to be updated. The tables, chairs are really old and antiquated - something that you’d find in your grandpa’s flat. They don’t have a tea / coffee machine in the rooms. But the restaurant staff is kind enough to give you a cup of hot water if you ask for it. There is a lot of construction going around the hotel - so, it was a bit of a hike to find this place after getting off the bus. The WiFi in my room was extremely weak and I had to go outside in the lobby to take a zoom meeting. The lobby itself is noisy because there is the elevator and it’s between the reception and the restaurant. I am a titanium elite member. Generally, at all Marriott properties, when I check in, this status is acknowledged and I am asked if I need the points or a food / beverage credit. At this property, there was no acknowledgement of my elite status. I don’t think I will stay at this property again.
Located on the edge of the park and lake. Trails and gorgeous lush lawns for ever ♥️♥️. Michelin rated restaurant at the Inn. Great food, views and employees working at restaurant! Included buffet style breakfast with your stay! ♥️. Room's were clean and restocked every day! Espresso machine in room, makes great coffee. Beds were so comfy! Only negative would be if you come when it's really humid/hot No air conditioning. Really not a problem, just something to be aware of.
I was travelling with my two teenagers. We had such a lovely stay. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We asked to change rooms due to split level room, which they did immediately. The location is stunning, beside a beautiful lake and park, great for walks etc. I highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel, the meatballs are next level! But the staff are what makes this hotel such a treat. From the reception to the restaurant, friendly and pleasant and happy to help wherever needed. We will definitely be returning to Stockholm and definitely returning to this hotel...
