St. Thomas Maho Bay Turtle Snorkel Sail - Ritz-carlton

The crew Cristian, Nick and Tuna were awesome! They were so fun anc brought us to TWO amazing spots for snorkeling! The boat was FANCY and was absolutely the highlight of our honeymoon! I wanted to do it more than once to be honest. We would have gone multiple days in a row if our schedule allowed! Will absolutely do this again next time we go to St Thomas!

I booked this excursion specifically on Lady Lyndsey because I had previously taken an excursion on this catamaran and had an excellent experience. The smaller crowd, elegant atmosphere, and attentive staff made it a memorable experience, so I was looking forward to having that same experience again. Unfortunately, that was not what happened this time. Without any prior notice, I was placed on a different catamaran, Jammin. I booked the excursion based on the photos and description advertised for Lady Lyndsey, so I was very disappointed to find out that I would not be sailing on the boat I specifically selected. When I asked the staff why I was not receiving the experience I had booked and paid for, I was told that Lady Lyndsey had already left for the day and that they simply put us on whichever catamaran was available. I was offered a $12 refund for the inconvenience. Jammin was a much larger boat with significantly more passengers. Because of the number of people onboard, there was not enough shaded seating, and we were forced to sit in the sun for essentially the entire trip. Again, if Jammin had been the boat advertised and the boat I had originally booked, I would have had different expectations. My issue is that I specifically booked Lady Lyndsey and did not receive what I paid for. The food was also disappointing. We were served tacos with black beans, chicken, shrimp, and toppings. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor, the chicken was dry, and the shrimp was cold. On a positive note, the drinks were good and the staff was friendly and pleasant throughout the excursion. The excursion was advertised as a turtle excursion, but we did not see any turtles. We saw a few fish, but marine life sightings were very limited. The boat itself was clean overall, although the bathrooms had a strong urine odor, which detracted from the experience. Overall, the staff was nice and the drinks were enjoyable, but the experience did not live up to what I booked. My biggest concern is the lack of communication and transparency regarding the boat change. If Lady Lyndsey was unavailable, I should have been notified before the excursion and given the opportunity to decide whether I wanted to proceed on another boat. I would have been completely comfortable booking Jammin if that was what had been advertised. However, I chose and paid for an excursion on Lady Lyndsey based on my previous experience and the photos and description provided. Unfortunately, I did not receive the experience I booked, and a $12 refund did not feel like adequate compensation for that significant change. I hope the company will improve its communication when substitutions are necessary so customers can make an informed decision before arriving for their excursion.

The Captain Joleen and crew were fantastic. Of course the sailing was fantastic as well. Our original plan was cancelled At the Westin at the last minute so I guess that was a good thing since we got to sail on THE LADY LYNDSY.

Our Turtle Snorkel Sail to Maho Bay out of St. Thomas was truly unforgettable, and Captain Jolene and her exceptional crew made it a five‑star experience from start to finish. Captain Jolene was knowledgeable, calm, and engaging, making everyone feel comfortable and cared for throughout the sail. Her crew was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, whether it was assisting with gear, sharing insights about the area, or making sure everyone had exactly what they needed. Maho Bay was spectacular, and snorkeling with sea turtles in such clear, beautiful water was a highlight of our trip. The crew took great care to ensure the experience was safe, relaxed, and enjoyable for guests of all experience levels. If you’re looking for a seamless, memorable snorkeling adventure with top‑tier service, I can’t recommend Captain Jolene and her crew enough. This was hands‑down one of the best experiences of our time in St. Thomas and a must‑do for anyone staying in St Thomas

Boat trip was wonderful. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive to everyone’s needs including my husband’s temperamental stomach since the seas were rough. They professionally captained the boat to the right area providing snorkeling in two different environments; sandy floor and floor with rocks and sunken boats. First mate acted as tour guide in the water pointing out wildlife and vegetation to those that wanted a guided experience. Open bar and lunch was a plus offering a full lunch bar of plenty of protein and vegan selections accommodating all allergies. Extremely pleasant day!

We didn't stay at the Ritz-Carlton but the price for both of us was very reasonably priced. The captin and the crew fellas were great. I dont do well on a boat and they caught that really quick and directed me to a place to sit to help with my motion sickness. From there on it was great. Took us to 2 different islands and they both were amazing spots. Saw so many tropical fish, turtles sting rays and a Barracudas that we could have reached out abd touched. The lunch was perfect nothing heavy. On our way to the 2nd island they put up the sail and we sailed to our spot. Such an amazing day.

The experience it was as amazing as 2022 when we took the boat out last. The captain and crew are great, thoughtful and fun. Even though there were no spaces available at Moho to moor, captain Jolene explained to us the why and found us two great snorkel spots seeing plenty of turtles and sea life.

We spent a lot of money for this excursion and the guides were amazing!! Very knowledgeable and catered to our wants. However, there was a large group that were also on the boat and all they wanted to do was get drunk, be loud and it was a huge distraction. When we went to get our lunch (which was great) that group just threw their bags at all the sitting areas and weren’t even sitting at the tables. Causing us to have to go back to our bench at the front of the boat to eat our lunch. One guy was so drunk he couldn’t even walk, bathing suit down to his knees and wouldn’t follow the rules that had been given earlier. The staff did tell him to pull his pants up and move off the net where he wasn’t supposed to be. Personally I believe if people are being that much of a distraction they shouldn’t be allowed to continue drinking. I wouldn’t go on this excursion again simply bc of this experience but there were some really good things about the outing.

Overall experience was great!! The boat, the crew, the atmosphere, the snorkeling destinations - can't be beat. The is a have to do activity!!

It was amazing me and my mom had a great time. We definitely do it again. The food was excellent very hospitable.

Friendly staff, relaxing day and lots of seats and shade. Kids had a great time. We were lucky with a smaller group, so crew was very interactive with us. Great communication and wonderful experience.

Very relaxing and enjoyable excursion for families. This was the first experience for two of our grandchildren and they loved their time. The captain and crew were all very accommodating and atttentive.

This was a great excursion! The Lady Lynsey is a beautiful sailboat and Captain Heather and her crew run it accordingly. They provided not just the sailing, but great service as well- very laid back, but attentive. The snorkeling was excellent and even if you don’t have any experience- they will help you out! The views are beautiful and sailing was great. Highly recommend! 10/10

The crew made the trip extra special. They were funny and hospitable . The drinks and food were top notch. Loved the painkillers! There were probably better snorkeling areas but I understand they need to preserve the best places. We saw nurse sharks, colorful fish and turtles. I'd recommend it.

Excellent excursion. Great team on board and fun in two excellent bays for snorkeling. Lunch was a buffet, better than expected. Our trip rained at the end but didn't spoil it at all. No complaints at all. Definitely worth it

What a great outing with Heather at the helm along with Collette and Ben taking care of the Lady Lindsey and the guests. Two 1 hour snorkel sessions - first Maho Bay - then a superb lunch and bar - then Honeymoon Beach. The crew was super friendly and hospitable while assuring all went well and safely. Highly recommend this experience diving into nature’s beauty with a top notch company.

Three teenage kids and they had a great time. The boat, the food, the crew, the snorkeling and of course, the ocean, were all perfect. All food, drinks and even towels were provided. All three kids came back happy and excited by the experience. Definitely recommend. Thank you, Captain Heather, and crew. You are awesome.

Such a beautiful day! The crew absolutely made it an unforgettable experience. Lunch was delicious with something for everyone and the chocolate cookies at the end.....perfect touch!

This tour was a blast! The captain & crew were fantastic & there was a local photographer on board taking photos underwater to purchase. Food was amazing, boat was beautiful & the team were all experts, definitely recommend!

The Captain and Crew were very informative and welcoming hosts! The two snorkeling spots were top notch! We had many turtle sightings in Maho Bay, and we had clear water to see coral and abundant sea life at the second snorkeling spot. The lunch was great and the open bar was a hit! The Lady Lynsey is a beautiful and impeccably maintained boat. We had a fantastic time! I highly recommend for active families who like to snorkel and open water boating.

Beautiful boat, friendly staff, and incredible experience snorkeling with turtles. Staff made us feel very welcome and created a good atmosphere. Captain provided great instructions for a safe experience. And lunch and the drinks were awesome!

Landry knew the best snorkel spots and told us some history of the USVI. Full day boat charter with family. Great experience, 10/10 would do again.

The crew on Jammin was amazing. Nice ride to turtle spot, good amount of time snorkeling and then a nice sail and lunch on way back. Everyone was very courteous and kind. This was our second time doing this excursion and did not disappoint. I highly recommend them! Thanks Ryan, Erin, Izzy and Sam!

Wonderful!!! Great excursion with Esperanto fun people. I can't swim and I still made it lol You will see turtles and coral reef and then enjoy endless drinks. 10/10!!!! I will definitely go again!!!!

This was an Excellent experience. Saw sea turtles, star fish, smaller fish. Sail boat was spacious. Towels and gear provided. Delicious lunch which had Vegan offerings also. Highly Recommend !!

We really enjoyed this trip. The crew was so kind and helpful. The snorkeling was great - saw a few turtles and the afternoon snorkel time was a lot of fun. The captain took us to a nice spot with quite a few colorful fish. The lunch on board the catamaran was very good - exceeded all of our expectations. I was thinking we’d have boring picnic sandwiches and chips but instead we had a nice spread of salads, chicken, shrimp, hummus, and pita bread. But my favorite was the pasta salad. The food is catered by the Ritz Carlton! The trip was a fun way to experience the Virgin Islands and I do recommend. I don’t recall the new of the captain and the two crew but hope sharing date of Tuesday, June 13, helps management figure this out and acknowledge them.

The crew was welcoming and fun from start to finish. We were taken to two amazing spots to view turtles and other amazing sea life. The excursion didn't feel rushed and we were able to relax and enjoy a nice sail back in. The lunch and drinks were excellent. I highly recommend this excursion.

Everything about this adventure was amazing! My two teenage daughters and I really enjoyed the snorkeling, while my wife relaxed on the boat. The lunch served was delicious and plentiful, as were the included frozen cocktails and beers. Captain Paul, and crew Kestrel and Caroline were all super friendly and fun. As promised we saw many turtles, as well as skates and starfish at the first stop. The delicious, vegetarian friendly lunch was served as we motored to the second snorkel spot, which was magical with abundant tropical reef fish, and fun water games. Finally we sailed back to the Ritz-Carlton Resort, with the engines off. It was a really great activity, and well worth every penny!

The catamaran was spacious. The staff was courteous and well informed and the lunch and drinks provided were excellent. Lastly and most importantly, it was safe and we got to see plenty of turtles.

We had a wonderful trip with the crew of the Lady Lynsey. We were greeted by the friendly, well trained crew. Maho Bay (and the turtles) was beautiful! Lunch was fabulous and the bar didn't disappoint. (Tip: try the mango pain killer). Scott Bay and beach was a nice treat. The sails went up as we cruised back to St. Thomas. The crew helped take this experience from fun to fabulous! Don't miss out on this experience.

By far the best experience we had during our trip to STT! The crew was fun, had great conversation about the islands, made good drinks, the lunch was delicious, we saw green sea turtles, snorkeled over a beautiful reef near Trunk Bay, the music was great - it was a perfect sail and 10/10 recommend and will do every time we come back!

This was a perfect day on the waters of the USVI. The boat was beautiful and the snorkeling wonderful. The staff was very professional, safety conscious, personable and a lot of fun. The unhurried, relaxing pace was enhanced by a delicious lunch. Would definitely take this trip again.

The sea turtles were fun to watch. The water is beautiful. We saw lots of beautiful fish, a sting ray and sea urchin as well. We snorkeled in two spots and felt very safe in both locations. Lunch was great and staff was very friendly.

The staff and service and of course the views and snorkeling locations. The boat was large enough and we had 49 people on for our day/time. Easy on boarding and off boarding and staff made the trip fun, safe and a blast!!

This snorkel excursion was the highlight of our trip because the crew, Captain Tony, Nico, Paul, and Jason, went above and beyond to make the day extra special. Experienced and inexperienced snorkelers all had a great time seeing turtles, sting rays, parrot fish, and so much more. Before we boarded our crew met us on the beach and were immediately friendly and welcoming. The Lady Lynsey was in tip top shape: spacious, comfortable, and not a thing out of place. The crew took exceptionally good care of us all; they had a compelling passion about the local wildlife of the islands and the catamaran. It was so fun hearing how enthusiastic they were to teach us about what we saw on our snorkeling adventures. We would recommend this trip and crew to everyone, it was the most enjoyable part of our week long stay in USVI!
