St Thomas Sea Turtle Snorkel Kayak Adventure Tour

Sven was a great guide!! We got to see five sea turtles. We got to kayak in beautiful picturesque water.

Justin was a great Tour Guide. He was knowledgeable about the plant life and the marine life. He took us snorkeling and described all the different fish and made sure that we got to swim with sea turtles. When we went kayaking, he took us around and described the marine life. He even brought lunch for us with beach chairs to sit out and watch the beach. Lots of little thoughtful touches and really enjoyed this tour would absolutely recommend again.

Had an amazing time with our guide Justin. The day was very clear to see lots of sights, and we had great visibility in the water. Snorkeling with fish and sea turtles. Amazing!!

Conner was awesome!! He was extremely knowledgeable. We saw 5 sea turtles, 4 sting rays, and a host of fish that Conner told us about. He showed us some different trees as well. The lunch was amazing home made bread and cookie!! And the kayak beach was stunningly beautiful! We also had some great views on the drive to do the kayaking. It was the best money we could have spent!! The pictures include a bunch of underwater pictures of the sea life and several pictures of you enjoying the experience. Highly recommend!!

This was the most amazing day! Our guide, Connor, was the absolute best! He was so personable, fun, and knowledgeable- he shared so much with us about the sea life, plants, and the island throughout the day. We saw sea turtles, stingray, octopus and many beautiful fish and interesting sea life! The pictures and video he took for us is incredible and will be cherished forever! Thank you so much❤️

Sven was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we got the most out of our experience. The sights were beautiful and the marine life that we were able to encounter was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This tour was amazing from the trip down the hill to the amazing beach..to snorkeling, kayaking and even spider fishing. Sven was so knowledgeable about plants, fish, and kayaking, he makes this tour great. So glad we took this trip. Oh and the pictures I will always look back and remember this day!!! We were only in St. Thomas for a few hours on a cruise ship stop, and this was the perfect way to spend it. Our guide Sven is very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. He was very chill and asked what we were interested in, so he took the time to tell us about the trees, termites, and spiders. When we snorkeled with the turtles, Sven knew what to look for in the water to find us several turtles to observe. Snorkeling with the turtles was as amazing as we'd expected. He offered options for the kayaking locations based on our level of adventurousness, and was really good at reading our energy level. Lunch was included which hit the spot without making us feel overly full before kayaking. As my family's photographer, I am often not in many pictures, so I really appreciate that Sven was taking photos with his GoPro of both the turtles and us, and the photos were emailed to us a few days later. He stayed conscious of the time to get all the adventure in without feeling rushed, and get us back to our ship on time. Highly recommend this individualized small group tour!

Had an amazing experience snorkeling and kayaking. Our guide Sven was terrific. He is extremely knowledgeable about the local plant and wildlife. The snorkeling was everything we could have wanted it to be. We saw at least 8 separate sea turtles, tarpon, barracuda, and various rays and beautiful tropical fish. The off-road excursion to a secluded beach for lunch and kayaking added a feeling of adventure to an already exciting trip. I would highly recommend this trip.

A day to remember! It's hard to imagine a more knowledgeable guide than Sven. His kindness, patience and passion were much appreciated. We had a great time snorkeling with the sea turtles and our kayaking was great fun with the rain that was falling! On the way back to our hotel, Sven pointed out a hiking trail which turned out to be another highlight of our time on St. Thomas. Highly recommended tour and company!

My boyfriend and I had so much fun and Sven is a great guide!! It was awesome seeing sea turtles as it was our first time. We were really excited about kayaking, but couldn’t go as far out as we would have liked to as someone from our group wasn’t comfortable, which was a bummer. Sven said there were wild goats around the corner and we were looking forward to that, but oh well. Still a 5-star for an amazing tour guide and a great day. 😊 Here are some photos we captured!

Had a wonderful time. Sven was knowledgeable about the island and its various flora and fauna. The beach, where we snorkeled was perfect - calm and loaded with sealife. We saw all kinds of fish, rays and a dozen sea turtles. Unfortunately, the seas were too rough to kayak, but Sven offered various options to compensate us, including a partial refund. All-in-all a great tour and gracious hosts. I highly recommend them.

We had a group of 4 women. One had never snorkeled or been in a kayak. Our guide, Sven, clearly communicated and helped make our trip amazing! Sven was knowledgeable about sea life, trees, and the island's history. We saw 4 sea turtles, an octopus, sea urchin, sting ray, and a barracuda! I would highly recommend this adventure for all ages and experience levels.

Four of us set out to snorkel with Michelle in search of turtles and other sea life. That morning the rain came down harder than expected and the bay was very murky. We started our snorkel but it was very hard to see the bottom. Michelle offered us a discount due to the conditions but said she wanted a bit more time to make sure we saw a turtle. We were more than happy to hang in and eventually the waters cleared enough to see turtles, sting rays and other fish. Michelle also dove down and picked up a sea urchin and a sea cucumber for us to hold. She has an underwater camera for great pictures, even some of us near the turtles. I really appreciate her concern that we did not get an A plus experience but we assured her we were completely happy. She gave it her very best to give us a good experience under difficult conditions. We also appreciated all the instruction of how to approach the turtles to keep them calm and undisturbed. She is careful to use reef safe sunscreen and keep our impact on the environment minimal. Lunch on the beach was delicious. Michelle was very careful re: Covid completely wiping down her car. I highly recommend this company. It was a highlight of our trip to St Thomas.

Our experience was awesome! Our guide, Sven, was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and really took the time to make sure we had and enjoyable experience. We were treated to information about St Thomas, from plant life to the history of the islands and it’s surroundings. We also saw lots of marine life and, of course, several sea turtles. This was a wonderful tour and we would definitely do it again!

This was my favorite day in St. Thomas! Sven was so very knowledgable and taught us so much about the island and the sea life there. It was truly an unforgettable experience. We swam with at least 8 sea turtles, which was so much more awesome than we even expected. Sven did not rush us at all and let us enjoy our adventure. He also pointed out lots of other ocean friends. Riding in the jeep was very fun and a great chance to see a lot of the island. Kayaking was adventurous and Sven made us feel very safe and at ease for the entire tour. We had our own private tour, so it was an exceptional experience. We also received tons of high quality photos of the whole trip. I highly recommend this excursion....it can't be beat!

We did this event for my son's 16th birthday. It was just him and I, and our guide, Sven. Sven was very helpful and informative and we had a great day! He took us to a beach where we saw at least 5 sea turtles, many fish and a sting ray.

Michelle was very knowledgeable and we got to see sea turtles, an array of fish, and a stingray. She also told us about the trees on the beach and the fruits that grew on them. We even got to try a few! Great experience.

This was a fantastic excursion. This was our first trip to the island and the first thing we did when we got there. Sven was very knowledgeable in the history of the island and about the surrounding islands and waters. He is an expert in all areas of this event. He showed us many different wildlife, the season turtles, octopus, lobster. We even got lucky enough to kayak next to 2 hump back whales. This was a trip and an experience that we will never forget!

My husband, daughter (college age) and I took the kayak and snorkel tour, and we had a really great day. The kayak trip was fun and relaxing, and we even stopped in a little mangrove lagoon and looked at birds. The beach we stopped had some people playing in the sand/water, but we snorkeled out away from that area, and it was nice an quiet. We saw many sea turtles, fish, a group of squid and even an octopus arm! We had a great time snorkeling, and I felt that Sven and Michelle ran a very smooth operation. Sven provided us with lots of information during the day, and was an excellent guide. I liked that this was a small group tour, and it wasn't crowded-there was actually only one other couple in our group. Sven also took great photos and sent them to us afterward, which was really nice. I would recommend this tour!

Michelle was a wonderful guide. We snorkled for well over an hour. Saw many fish, several turtles, stingrays and conch shell with a crab and her babies. Michelle was great at directing us where to be to see everything. Afterwards we had lunch on the beach followed by a beach walk to see local plants and the old sugar mill. If you want a quiet excursion, with only a small group and away from the crowds, this is the way to go!

I booked this trip for my husband and I on a port stop during our Caribbean cruise. It was so much fun! Michelle was very good at communicating and right on time picking us up and dropping us off. She dropped us off with our guide he was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. We had our own private tour and he was very patient as we were going quite slow. Kayaking was a little more difficult in the ocean than the lakes we were used to. We kayaked over to a cove and beached on a nice quiet sandy beach. We then went snorkeling from the shore and saw many turtles, sting rays and colorful fish. It was an amazing trip way better than a cruise excursion with tons of people. Very cheap too compared to what the cruise ship charges. They brought us hogie sandwiches, soda and cookies, a great lunch included in the cost. We had an amazing time in St Thomas thanks to Michelle and Sphen.

Fantastic snorkeling with a small group. Our tour guide was awesome, with a tremendous knowledge of both what we saw underwater, as well as local history and natural/medicinal uses of the plants in the area. She took incredible underwater pictures that she sent to us afterwards. Highly recommended!

Our family (13 people) enjoyed a private snorkeling tour with Michelle and Sven! We cannot say enough about the experience. Both Michelle and Sven are so nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. We had a couple "nervous swimmers" and Michelle took them out and made them feel totally comfortable with the process. The snorkeling spot was beautiful and we saw so many fish and sea turtles. Michelle and Sven even took underwater photos for us! They also provided a tasty lunch! And for those in our group who were interested, Sven took them on an informative nature walk--he truly knows the area including the plants and creatures! Thank you so much Michelle and Sven, our family had a GREAT time!

Me and my two boys were on a Disney Cruise and wanted to do a Turtle / Snorkle / Kayak adventure. We didn't want to be around 1000++ people and so I found St. Thomas Adventures online. Sven and Michelle gave us the BEST DAY EVER!!! No detail missed; down to the license plate and name of the driver. Sven did an amazing job as our guide / instructor. We were amazed, entertained and educated and my teenage boys LOVED it.

It’s not possible to put into words the wonderful day that Michelle put together for our family. Don’t look any further if you’re searching for the ultimate St. Thomas nature experience. Michelle is friendly, wise, sharing and passionate about the surroundings, history, environment and all native aspects of this beautiful island. We snorkeled and saw many sea turtles in their natural habitat as well as other wonderful sea creatures. Michelle’s nature walk was fascinating. It’s much, much more than we expected and we learned so much from her. I’m grateful to have met Michelle.

My husband and I loved this tour. It was not just the sea life and the eco tour, Michelle was outstanding as our guide. We were lucky that it was just us and Michelle. She was spectacular!! The snorkeling was great. We saw so many fish, turtle, and even a spotted eagle ray! Michelle took the photos which was a major plus for us. Now we can share our memorable time. The eco tour was wonderful too, learning about the local trees and their medicinal qualities. Michelle even makes her own sunscreen that we both tried. Liked it so much that we asked and received the recipe. Lunch was delicious and the information about the island was expansive and interesting. Would recommend to everyone! You will be glad you went.

Our whole experience with Michelle was amazing from start to finish. We had initially booked the kayak and snorkel trip but Michelle texted us early in the morning to say the winds were too high for kayaking but she had a snorkeling trip we could go on. It turned out to be just the two of us and Michelle! Michelle's instructions on how to meet her were perfect. Her snorkeling gear worked fantastically. The snorkeling itself was awesome! Seeing sea turtles in their natural habitat was an absolutely stunning experience. Michelle's knowledge of the marine life significantly enhanced our trip. In addition to the turtles we saw stingray, many fish, and even an octopus. She brought an underwater camera and took pictures of us and the marine life which she emailed to us after the trip. Lunch was provided- delicious sandwiches with a special vegetarian one for me. After our snorkeling Michelle drove us up to a look out point with a stunning view of the ocean. This whole trip was incredible and we highly highly recommend it!

What a great tour!! Michelle was an awesome tour guide! She was so helpful in explaining each step of the snorkeling process to ourselves and children (6 & 10). You are definitely guaranteed to see sea turtles and other sea life. Her attention to detail and charming personality made the experience so enjoyable! Another bonus to this tour was the small group size! Only our family! Definitely the best snorkeling experience my husband and I have ever had and the kids loved it too! Michelle’s passion for sea life and St. Thomas is such a bonus! We all learned a lot! The pictures Michelle takes are also incredible! (I attached a few below) She will not miss a beat with her camera! I brought my phone for some pictures but it was not needed and her photos were 1000 times better! Highly recommend this tour!

we had a wonderful tour w/Michelle to her secret place, saw many turtles, an abundance of beautiful fish and coral, and had a walk around on the land after w/mini-tour. Michelle is an awesome guide.....so knowledgeable, down-to-earth and friendly, easy to chat with, and made us feel comfortable and welcome. We felt like we'd known her for yrs. It was a super day w/a yummy lunch and all the extras included (rash guard warm snorkel shirt, photos, lunch/snacks). Michelle is also very knowledgeable w/plants, medicinal properties, etc. This was our first trip to St Thomas and what a wonderful experience, we'd highly recommend this company!

I booked this excursion through TripAdvisor before our cruise. Michelle called and sent a list of all the items that we needed for the day. Michelle was so helpful and super kind. She even had a special sandwich made for my husband who is gluten free. Sven was AMAZING!! He was knowledgeable of local wildlife and greenery. It was the BEST EXPERIENCE THAT WE HAVE EVER HAD!! You will not be disappointed that you signed up with this team. This company was awesome!

I can’t believe we got it all for $119 ❤️ Sven was a wonderful instructor and guide! It was a perfect day of learning about the islands, kayaking, snorkeling with sea turtles, many beautiful fish, and a delicious lunch and gorgeous photos of the whole adventure! It was the best jerk chicken I had on the island! Any one of these excursions would be ~$100, you won’t find anyone to take gorgeous photos of you like this. Please book!! We night kayaked, did a food and rum tour (Super fun!), and parasailed on this trip. Our day with Sven was by far the most enjoyable and best value - you will want to tip at least $25-$35/person - it’s a magical experience you will never forget ❤️

The tour was very well organized with clean snorkel equipments. Our guide Michelle was wonderful. She gave clear instructions and it was easy to follow. The location was amazing. She also took underwater photos which I hope to see soon. The lunch was delicious. Overall an excellent tour.

Our guide, Michelle, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the island. We had a small group which was mice too. Lunch and pictures are included in the tour. We decided to stay on water Island a little longer after the tour and Michelle gave us a punch card for the ferry ride back. Great experience!

I reached out to Michelle the night before we were docking and was able to set up our excursion immediately. She was very responsive and answered all of my questions. I found her on Trip Advisor with rave reviews. We had three teenagers with us and they thoroughly enjoyed it! Love how we had Michelle all to ourselves and learned so much about Water Island. It was our first time snorkeling with the sea turtles. Highly recommend!

Michelle was very organized, great communication and knowledgeable. Every step from picking us up at our ship to bringing us back to our ship on time went smoothly. Booking was really easy and Michelle called the week before just to confirm pick up details. Michelle picked us up on time and took us a short 15 mins drive to meet Sven at the beach with our kayak. After a short briefing and explanation of our trip we hit the water. Sven was amazing, he frequently stopped for a 'break' and explained all about the nature around us, he knew SO much it was staggering! We would paddle along a bit and then stop for a quick rest, even through we paddled a couple of miles to the beach there was plenty of rest breaks and Sven never left our side. We got to the beach and stopped for quick drink (Sven provided water) and then we hit the water to snorkel. Sven knew the bay so well he knew where to find everything from rays to turtles and everything in between. He knew the names of everythIn we looked at it and it was the best snorkel guided trip we've ever taken. Afterwards we had a really nice lunch (included) before heading back on our kayaks to where Michele was ready to collect us and drove us back to port. Cannot recommend these guys enough, they were fantastic and we will be booking another tour with them again!

I cannot thank Michelle enough for such a great experience. I have never been able to see a sea Turtle up close and personal like we did on this snorkel excursion. We were so thrilled to have such a wonderful guide and truly enjoyed her knowledge in all of the agriculture as well as the turtles and fish we saw. I highly recommend this to anyone! It was a relaxing snorkel with life jackets and only a small walk to the beach. The fish sandwich afterwards was a delicious treat as well! Thank you Michelle for everything! The best experience! Our family participated in the VI turtle tour today. It was a great experience for all. We saw about five turtles during the snorkeling part. Our tour guide Michelle easily answered the boys questions and led the small group very well. Would pick this one again in a moment.

Guide is professional but also so fun and very knowledgeable, she was part of what made it such a blast! We saw so many sea turtles swam with them right in their habitat while they munched on sea grass it was so surreal. We followed up snorkeling with a delicious lunch and local beer it was the perfect outing! I highly recommend this tour everything about it was so much fun I would do it again in a heartbeat

Words can hardly describe how awesome this experience was for me, my wife, and our 4 kids. The owners were amazing & helpful, and our guide, Jo, was beyond what you could ever hope for in a guide. She shared awesome stories, took amazing pics with her great water camera and led us right to where turtles were. We've been incredibly fortunate to be on many excursions over the years, visiting about 10 Caribbean Islands, and this was by far the one we all enjoyed the most. We've snorkeled in many beautiful places seeking sea turtles, but seldom found any, except for here. Though we did this excursion last year, I am just finally getting around to providing the review. We just returned from an amazing trip, but we did not come across another guide anything like Jo. In fact, we still talk about her and that excursion quite frequently. THANKS to the owners and extra special thanks to Jo who created life-long memories for me and my family.

We had a marvelous time with Michelle and Sven. They were very professional, very informative and made us feel like family. The pictures they took are amazing.
