Such a wonderful experience!! Paul was the guy. He taught us about all the different marine life we were seeing and scouted around to find them for us. We saw quite a few turtles, a stingray, two different types of eels, angel fish, octopuses, a conch, and I got to hold a starfish. The beach is about 20 minutes from the port at Brewers Bay and it’s incredibly calm and quiet and the water was clear. Our tour group was just 4 of us (my boyfriend and I and another couple) which was great because large groups can be tough for me. Highly recommend!

This excursion is exactly as advertised. If you want a great snorkeling experience that is very approachable with basically guaranteed turtle encounters, look no further! Totally recommend.
Paul was an amazing tour guide. While we could have probably seen turtles on our own, there is no way we would have enjoyed it and seen all the marine life that we did. He showed us octopus, starfish, green eel, sting ray, a dozen sea turtles and so many fish! Would 10/10 book again.
it was incredible!!! we saw so many turtles, octopus, multiple sting rays, and tons of fish! Paul was amazing and so kind and answered all of our questions along the way.
I love this excursion so much that I book it every time! Louie was the best guide! He took time to ensure I got to see turtles as well as other marine life. This tour group takes care of their customers! Highly recommend for an amazing swim with turtles!
Paul was absolutely amazing. He took his time. He answered every question that I had about all the weird sea creatures. There were inky two of us on the tour and eventually my partner went back. But he still was super educational , and make the experience absolutely a great time I would 1000000 recommend
Amazing experience! We saw so many turtles! Paul was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I totally recommend this tour. We also saw stingrays, eels and octopus. 🤩
Derek and Kelly were super nice and very informative . They live there job and you can tell. They were in tune to any needs we had and didn’t rush us . We saw so many things . It was the best excursion we had on our trip!!
The guides were great. We have never snorkeled before and the took the time and helped us be successful. Saw turtles and other marine animals.
Our guides were fantastic, friendly, patient and knowledgeable and we saw an abundance of sea life. We also loved that we could walk into the water off the beach and go at our own pace - it made for such an excellent experience!
Wonderful experience for our whole family of all ages from 9-75. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided a great memory with us!
This experience was amazing! Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all. We would definitely do this again!!
Your advertising worked!! Made a lack luster and confusing trip into something that might be enjoyable. Your equipment is bottom of the barrel and was probably bought at Walmart. Your crew with the exception of the guide in the water was rude. Your directions to get to the drop off area were incomplete. No one in the taxi area knew where to go. This was a waste of money.
What a great time. Guide was excellent. Got to see lots of cool fish and a good amount of turtles. Water was not too ruff.
The spot is beautiful!!! So close to the beach but so full of life! Super easy to navigate and low stress. We didn’t even break a sweat, just easy peasy snorkel around and back. Paul personally guided us around the beach and gave us information about the wild life and safety precautions. His guidance made the event easy, stress free and enjoyable.
I’ve been snorkeling in various parts of the world and this was THE COOLEST experience snorkeling I’ve ever had! Derek and Kelly were awesome! So patient with my friend who was new to snorkeling and so knowledgeable about marine life! I loved that it was so personal. It was just the 4 of us and not a huge group. I would give a solid 20 out of 5 stars!! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!!
Best experience and probably the main reason was our tour guide! I believe his name was Kerry. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the islands and was very sharp when it came to navigating the terrain from land, to sea, and in the sea as well. My wife and I are on our honeymoon and we greatly enjoyed it. The kayak was long, it was tough, but it was worth it to see all the turtles, stingrays, jelly fish, and squids! Would definitely do this again and I would recommend Kerry to anyone who is interested and actually wants to learn more than just snorkel and kayak!
We saw some turtles which was great. It was difficult to find and the equipment was pretty warm. Guide was very good. This is not a boat ride, you walk in from the shore. Definitely could do this excursion on your own if you have snorkel gear.
Short cab ride from ship to the beach. Met up with the tour guide, received all the gear and went in right at the beach. Seen a number of turtles, sting rays, reef fish, eagle rays, and other marine life. The kids had a blast. Bathroom facilities right there on site with water rinse down. If you are looking for a laid back relaxed beach day, this is for you.
I went snorkeling with Derek at Brewer Bay, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. We swam in open water where I saw several sea turtles, beautiful coral reefs, and countless colorful fish. One of the highlights was being able to dive to the bottom of the bay and swim alongside the turtles in their natural habitat. At one point, Derek had me stretch my arms out while continuing to kick, and he carefully guided me closer to a turtle. The turtle was so comfortable around us that it swam directly underneath me. It even came so close that its flippers touched my goggles! Derek is knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about what he does. He made the entire experience feel safe, comfortable, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing snorkeling adventure, and I will definitely be booking another trip with him the next time I visit the island.
Our family did the snorkeling with the turtles, and absolutely loved it. It was a nice laid-back experience that we all enjoyed.
It was so good and the guide Derek was awesome definitely recommend We saw sting rays turtles and sea urchins
The guide was really experienced. He was really great with knowledge of where the difference fish, turtles and stingray where. He was interactive with letting you see and hold different seats life. My family really enjoyed the experience. The beach is also absolutely beautiful.
We had the most amazing day! Turtles, Ray's, fish, it was beautiful. Our guide was awesome and very knowledgeable.
We had a great time and saw at least 5 turtles. We also saw an octopus . Dory. Sea urchins. Star fish. Sting ray and other great sea creatures
We got to see all kinds of sea turtles, different types of rays, many species of fish and our guide was very informative and professional.
We had an amazing experience at Brewers Bay snorkeling. We were able to see sea turtles, two kinds of stingrays, sea urchins, and starfish. Our guide was very knowledgeable!
A wonderful experience, but the website instructs you to meet at a food truck that does not exist. This created meeting confusion, so that needs to be fixed. We really enjoyed the snorkeling- saw plenty of turtles in addition to rays, many types of fish and a couple starfish. Our guide was very nice and informative.
Take the tour , they give you insight and know what they are looking for , if I went out on my own , I would have missed 75 percent of what we saw
Our snorkeling guide was kind, patient, and engaged! He would grab our attention when sea life was visible and being for us to see. He also provide grub to eat to get saltwater taste of our mouths! I highly recommend this experience!
Got to see lots of sea trurtles, different type of rays and eels, so many different types of fish. Paul is a very knowledgible guide. He knows what he is doing.
We saw lots of turtles! Also sea urchins, starfish, squid, and conch.
Paul was an amazing guide, helping us find different sea creatures and telling us interesting facts. He had equipment that fit everyone. He was incredibly good with the kids. My 5 and 9 year old absolutely loved him and felt very safe and excited. We walked in right off the beach (very easy for the kids). We saw plenty of turtles and fish. We got to meet a starfish up close and he helped us find a hiding octopus.
This excursion is worth the money! The guide was phenomenal picked up sea urchins, live star fish and conch let us all hold and explained about them. The guides made sure everyone was safe in the water. My grandson and I had the best time!
The tour guide was cordial and knowledgeable. I was able to see a sea turtle. Be sure to apply reef-safe sunscreen before going out.
Guide is very knowledgeable. Beautiful beach for your non-snorkeling, family or friends while you’re snorkeling.
The trip is just beach snorkeling with a guide for 1:30 hours. I guess I just assumed it was on a boat! Guide was very knowledgeable as she was a recent grad of UVI and local. It was a nice trip but d.
This was my first time booking through Viator and I was honestly a little hesitant, but this ended up being one of the best parts of our trip. The biggest difference is that this is an experience-focused tour, not a volume/throughput excursion. We were about 20 minutes away from the cruise port to a quieter area (Brewer’s Bay), and it made a huge difference in what we were able to see. Our guide was fantastic — She didn’t just drop us in the water and hope for the best. She actively found wildlife for us, dove down to point things out, and gave clear instructions (especially to the kids) on how to respectfully interact with the animals. We saw multiple sea turtles (including one with a remora), a manta ray, a sea urchin, fish, and a queen conch. It felt like a curated experience, not random luck. They also provided proper gear (life jackets, etc.), which made it accessible and comfortable. If you’re deciding between a large cruise excursion vs. something like this, I would 100% recommend going with a smaller, local operator. The difference in quality and care is very noticeable. Would absolutely book again.
It was overall good, saw turtles, stingrays, star fish, and other fish. My daughter had fun with it being her first time.
Save yourself the money… It’s a free public beach, just bring your own snorkeling equipment ($20 on Amazon) and get in the water … there’s no secret passage to the sea turtles, no secluded area for paying customers I paid $237.00 for my family of 3 swam amongst people who paid $0 and seen the same as them (one turtle) and (one sting ray). Tho I must admit the water was clear and refreshing.
My guide was absolutely amazing and so nice! We saw multiple stingrays (big), cow fish , MULTIPLE big sea turtles , sea urchins, beautiful orange starfish , a huge conch shells !!you don’t have to worry about extensive swimming you were a floating vest to help you relax and just enjoy the view down. You don’t have to worry about the stingrays they stay low to the ocean floor grazing it! The sea turtles were adorable and i was surprised how many we saw ! It was majestic beautiful and everything i hoped for and more! Thank you !!
The guide is a very knowledgeable marine biologist young woman who is keen to share her knowledge of all sea life we saw today. Friendly and safety conscious.
This was a an awesome introduction to snorkeling for myself & my husband. We went with my niece & her boyfriend. It was a small group & we had a great time! We saw sea turtles, octopus, squid, & so many different types of fish. Our guide was very knowledgeable & was taking videos of the adventure. We have a video of a sea turtle surfacing for air right next to my niece’s boyfriend. What an amazing memory for us. Would definitely recommend this snorkeling tour!
Near beach only. Could take your own snorkeling equipment or rent some and go to any of many cleaner beaches and get a better experience. A guide was not needed for what we saw.
Awesome experience would recommend. Seen turtles stingray lots of beautiful fish. Crew was knowledgeable and insured you had a great experience
Best two hours on the beach! The food at the food trucks was awesome and the snorkeling guide knowledgeable. We saw rays, many turtles, star fish, baracuda, octopus, and so many tropical fish! Great experience!
We sure did see sea turtles just as promised, which was exciting for our family. That was a positive, for sure! The only issue I would bring up is that this booking promised a small group experience and that was not what this was- our group had 60+ people in it which made the water crowded and hard to navigate.
Because with a guide it was incredible 😊 she was well educated on what we were looking at, so many Sea turtles, 3 sting rays, blowfish, Starfish and many different kinds of fish ... Thank you 😊
We booked this excursion but we stayed on St Croix and had to travel to St Thomas- please don’t do this. St Thomas has great waters for turtles but 5+ hours out of our day did not make this worth it. The excursion itself is difficult to get to unless you have a car to and from- we did not. The excursion itself- she was amazing- I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. She is a student majoring in marine biology and more and shares a lot about the ecosystem and is excited to keep it beautiful and ongoing. She is welcoming and very full of knowledge. There isn’t a place to lock up your valuables but there is a bath house- both of which I didn’t realize. Bring a towel. We did see turtles galore, stingrays, mini lobsters and octopi, fish, the reefs that are struggling and need help to be maintained, arrow crab. Waters were calm and gorgeous but you do meet and enter at a public beach and I was surprised about that. It is worth it if you love snorkeling- kids would do well- it’s safe. Just some other issues I wish I had been more knowledgeable about.
Amazing snorkeling experience! Definitely would do it again! Our guide was so nice and informational!
