Guests check-in 30 minutes prior to the activity time, meet the crew, complete required paperwork, get fitted for equipment, and board their private boat for a day of fun on the water! Based upon conditions, Captain will provide several options for itinerary.
Your crew will share stories about the history and geography of the area while you cruise to your first stop, Buck Island, with two unique snorkeling sites. See the Cartanza wreck in Shipwreck Cove and snorkel the rock line with your friendly and knowledgeable guide to see parrotfish, damselfish, yellowtail snapper, grouper, and eels. On the other side of the island is Turtle Cove, a favorite hangout for -- you guessed it! -- Green sea turtles who enjoy grazing on the sea grass beds. Pool noodles and snorkel vests available for your comfort. In between, enjoy water, soft drinks, and snacks on the boat.
Usually a good destination for a lunch break possibility. We get our boat as close to shore as possible but customers will need to swim/float to the beach and enjoy a lunch at the restaurant there if they like. Other possibilities for lunch could be other beach side restaurants or lunch at Pizza Pi, world famous floating restaurant. Pizzas cooked on board their boat and delivered by dinghy to ours. (Flexible, discuss other lunch options/restaurants with captain).
It's a short ride to Little St. James, an infamous private island and home to protected marine park with beautiful hard and soft corals. Guests frequently see large schools of fish like Bluestriped grunts and Blue tang as well as colorful parrotfish, butterfly fish, Caribbean lobster, and octopus. When you're done snorkeling, it's time for Captain's rum punch!
Relax while the boat heads to Christmas Cove at Greater St. James island. Before or after lunch, guests can snorkel the cove and frequently see Spotted trunkfish, French angelfish, Southern stingrays and many other varieties of tropical fish and colorful corals.

Aqua Marine is great! Captain David was always there to greet us with smile, and Dylan, Brandon, & Carey were all great as dive guides. Even McEwen, who is new to the grow and still learning the ropes, was super helpful with any folks who were having buoyancy issues. This is my second trip with this operator, and I’d recommend them without reservation.

David, Stephanie, Abbey & Josh were superbly organized, & prepared for a great day of diving. Their knowledge & attention to detail was superior. Their knowledge & acumen about the dive location, & history of the area in general was super. As a older diver because of Stephanie I was able recall some of my forgotten diving skill set learning.
Thank you to Captain Steph, Abby, Mr Bill, and Zack. They were a very fun crew and Abby was great as a one on one snorkel guide for Nan's first time. As an experienced diver I loved the visibility of the water. It was so much fun we booked another day to see even more with this crew.
Our family did the dive/snorkel tour and explored off Little St. James. This was one of the best tours we have booked. The water was so clear, and visibility was amazing. Although some issues came up that were out of the control of the crew, they handled it like true professionals. They were all so knowledgeable, and we learned a lot. We saw a stingray, Tripod the sea turtle, and countless beautiful fish. Those who did the dive option saw Caribbean reef sharks and a giant lobster. Kudos to Kyle, Bill, and Steph for making this an experience our family will remember forever!
Diving with Aqua Marine was a fantastic experience! We will definitely be repeat customers if/when we make it back to St. Thomas. Great communication, top notch equipment and fantastic staff. We completed eight dives with Aqua Marine while on the island in a variety of formats. Two early morning dives one day with a private dive guide (worth the money), a private full day boat charter with Pizza Pi lunch and a late (10:30am) morning two tank dive with private guide. Each day was unique and fun. As with any business, the people make the difference. All the staff were very professional, safe, knowledgeable and friendly. While Kyle, Zach and Tommy were top notch, the girls stole the show!! Steph and Erika were EXCELLENT!! We had the privilege to hang out with these two ladies on all three different days. Thank you for a great time diving in St. Thomas!
We booked 3 dive trips with Aqua Marine Dive Center, 1 being a private charter for the day. They were very accommodating, friendly, and easy going. Erika and Steph were our dive guides and boat captain. They were very professional and impressive in their knowledge and skills with managing the boat, and making sure everyone was safe and happy. We really enjoyed the variety of marine life we saw at the different dive sites, including tons of beautiful corals and fans, shrimp, crab, lobster, turtles. stingray, sharks, beautiful fish, and impressive rock formations. On our full day trip they set up pizza to be delivered to the boat which was really cool. We would 100% book with Aquamarine again! The only small downside is they don’t have a great place to change into dry clothes after diving. Small price to pay for an awesome experience!
We had the most AMAZING day ever! Captain Dave and crew were beyond fantastic! The drinks were delicious! The experience for me was once in a lifetime. I had never gotten to see large sea turtles in the wild before, we saw SEVERAL large sea turtles, sting rays, and a few barracudas plus other sea life. This trip was worth EVERY penny plus more !!!!!
Wow, just wow! What a great trip. We were met by the staff and fitted with our rental gear. Steph and Erika were out guides and helped get us and the kids into the proper masks and flippers. Tommy was the Captain and let us know all about the boat and safety equipment before leaving the dock. At the snorkel spots Steph and Erika joined us in the water pointing out unique fish. The highlight of the trip was seeing the turtles at Christmas Cove. Snacks and drinks were provided and of course the adults were treated with rum punch on the way back. We had so much fun we are booking a night snorkel trip! This boat trip was the highlight of our St Thomas vacation!
My husband and I went with our friends and had an a really good time with the captain and crew. Some of our friends even saw a shark. (well they SA ID the did anyway). It was a fun day

My family and I, we booked that full day trip with Aqua marine. From the very first second the crew was amazing. They said HI and introduced themself and help us with all the Equipment. Beside an amazing day of snorkeling, we got Pizza delievered to the boat. The Captain organize everything for us. The whole crew took care of us during the whole day. Thanks to Captain tommy and the best snorkelquide (Michelle) ever.

The whole day was espectacular! Jess and Wolfgang we extremely nice. They customized the trip for us and gave us different options and suggestions. They took us to four amazing snorkel spots. Jess spent all the time with us in the water and showed us the coral reefs and all the marine life. We had so much fun together. Wolfgang has a great sense of humor so we had so much fun together. The pizza boat was a really good experience and the food was delicious! Even if we were there during the pandemic, we felt really safe because we were able to keep social distance, they use masks at all times and there was hand sanitizer available in the boat. We highly recommend this experience! Thank you for this Amazing day :)
Wolfgang, Abby and Ryan were an awesome captain and crew. We went for a full day 2 scuba divers, two snorkels and two Tagalongs. What a great day, snorkeled at Buck Island and then to Water Island, and honeymoon beach. We were so blessed to have a beautiful day! Hats off to fun in the sun. Couldn’t ask for a better boat and crew.
Anna and Wolfgang were a great team. They gave us multiple options for snorkel sites that avoided the more crowded sites and provided the best conditions.
