We booked a private charter with Stormy Pirates to go to the BVI. The ease of booking and the communication was exceptional. Our captain Carlie was the best Captain and highly recommend her. She gave us the best recommendations of other things to do during our 8 hour charter. I felt the price for the charter was reasonable. We had the best day on the boat, going snorkeling and going to Norman Island and White Bay. We especially loved it being private with just the 4 of us and getting to choose what we wanted to do. We booked a 7–8 hour private boat trip with Captain Brandon yesterday to celebrate our daughter’s high school graduation with family and out-of-town guests. As locals, we had a specific vision for the day, and Captain Brandon exceeded every expectation. He curated the perfect, relaxed itinerary with absolutely no rush or hard deadlines. He took us to incredible snorkeling spots, found sea turtles for us to swim with if we wanted, and knew the exact picturesque backdrops for the young adults to snap photos for social media. We also had a fantastic lunch stop at Lime Out. Pro-Tip for Travelers: The Caribbean sun is brutal during a full-day charter. Bring hats, SPF-rated rash guards, and plenty of sunscreen to stay protected! Captain Brandon’s knowledge, pacing, and hospitality made him the perfect captain for our family milestone. We could not have asked for a better day on the water! Thank you so much, Brandon, for taking such great care of our family and making this graduation celebration so special for us.

Amazing day out in the water! The water was a little choppy that day but thats just one of the things you have to roll the dice with. Sometimes it happens. The areas we stopped to snorkel were calm and crystal clear. Saw a ton of different types of marine life. We had a stop at Limeout for lunch which is always a must for us. We arrived at the perfect timing because it wasn’t all that crowded. We had pretty much any seating we wanted which doesn’t normally happen. Heather, our captain, was awesome. After realizing this type of trip wasn’t our first rodeo, she showed us some spots that we haven't been to yet. Super friendly, super knowledgeable about the island and all its beaches. This trip is certainly worth it and also a good way to put everyone’s butts to sleep once you get back to where you’re staying.

We had the best boat day with Stormy Pirates! Tara was our captain and she created the perfect itinerary for us based on what we wanted to see and do! The kids had a blast racing through the waves to St John, snorkeling and exploring. And the Lime Out taco bar was the perfect lunch stop. We all agree it was the best day of the trip! Would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

We love Stormy Pirates so much we took 2 excursions! Our first was a gorgeous day sailing with John and Maggie. The crew was very friendly and experienced, pizza from the pizza boat was delicious, and the snorkel stops were outstanding. Our second trip was a private charter out to Virgin Gorda to hike the Baths and a snorkel stop at Norman Island. Our crew - Tara and Kevin were outstanding!! Every detail of the trip was made extra special by these two. Kevin was our own private tour guide sharing information on the islands we passed, ensuring we had an unforgettable visit to the Baths and even taking photos for us! He also jumped in and guided our snorkel as we were all newbies making everyone feel extra comfortable. If we could rate more than 5 stars we would!! We went to The Baths and then for a swim at St. John’s on our way back to St. Thomas. Our Capt. Carly was professional and knowledgeable about the area. She was the BEST ! We were on a family vacation including ages 70-1 1/2. Would highly recommend Stormy Pirates Boat Charter. Top notch!

We booked a private boat tour for a bachelorette party, and it ended up being the highlight of our entire trip! From start to finish, the experience was truly unforgettable. Our captain, Tara, deserves the biggest shoutout. She was incredible! She was fun, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best day possible. She anticipated everything we might need before we even asked, kept the vibes high, and made us feel completely taken care of the whole time. Her energy was unmatched! We had the best day out with Captain Tara. The waves were pretty decent and she did a great job keeping the ride as smooth as it could be. The boat was the perfect size for the six of us. She was engaging and fun and we would definitely go out with her again!!!

Our December 2025 six-hour private 37" Axopar charter was the highlight of our 8 night vacation. We opted to go with Stormy Pirates instead of a cruise excursion because we were 1 of 5 ships docked in St Thomas & wanted to avoid large crowds & chaos. From the moment I reached out to Stormy Pirates I was confident that I had found a trustworthy/reputable company. Booking a private charter was by far the best decision I could have made! Communication pre-tour was perfect; we worked together to create a custom tour that would appeal to our family of 5 (3 adults kids 18, 21, 23). We arranged transportation from the cruise port ahead of time (recommended by Stormy Pirates). Instructions and directions for day-of were emailed in advance so when we checked in and stepped on the boat, everything was flawless - including a personal drop off (well worth the $) right by our cruise ship for the ultimate convenience at the end of our 6 hour day. Tara our amazing Captain met us at the office with a huge smile and we instantly knew that we were in for an unforgettable day! The boat was super nice, and we loved cutting through the water at high speed while the music set the vibe for an amazing day. We snorkeled in and around caves, and Pizza Pi; couldn't pass the opportunity to grab a cocktail, and visited the stunning Lovango Resort and Beach Club for lunch and shopping. Captain TARA... We loved her! She was incredibly fun, knowledgeable & deeply passionate about the islands. She shared fascinating history & gave us a true insiders tour that made every stop even more special. We finished out the day with amazing family photos (thanks Tara) & a seaplane that flew directly overhead as we pulled into dock right by our cruise ship. No stress getting back in time for the ships departure, tons of pics, laughter; relaxation, it was truly a perfect day filled with memories to last a lifetime. ( this is not our first private charter) We chartered an 8 hour snorkeling tour for my grandson, daughter and myself. We went to spots in St John hard to get to by car. Lunch at the new Lime Out in St. Thomas and Water Island ended the day. Our Captain Tara was so amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. It will be hard to go with anyone else.

My family had an amazing time with Tara touring the USVI. She took us to some spots that were new to us on the East End of St. John and some orher great spots for snorkeling at Buck Island and St. Thomas. We felt at home on the boat and she had a phenomenal yachting playlist. Thanks Tara!

The whole day was perfect! Our captain John and his mate Kevin were very interactive and informative. We cruised around the islands getting some history of each, snorkeled in a couple places with Kevin jumping in to highlight different things, and enjoyed delicious pizza from the pizza boat. Last week our family went on a cruise that stopped in St. Thomas, and we booked a private charter with Stormy Pirates after a recommendation from a captain we had used on a previous trip. What a perfect day on the water in the USVI! The crew was fantastic! The itinerary and attention to detail was done to perfection.

We booked 2 excursions with Stormy Pirates. The first day we had a private charter to Baths and Norman Island. Captain John and Liz took great care of us! We never had an empty cup or stomach on the trip! Baths were gorgeous and snorkeling stops were amazing. We also booked a catamaran sail to Jost to visit Foxy's, Soggy Dollar etc. Pace was nice and slow and relaxing. Captain Kenny and Susannah took care of us! Great drinks and company the entire day. My husband left something on the boat and we noticed the next day. Kenny texted to ask if we had left it behind and we were able to arrange to get the item returned to us. Customer service beyond expectation. We loved both charters so much. Very nice to relax and enjoy the islands. They take of everything from drinks and snack to the customs process. Highly recommend any of the tours!

Holy mackerel, this boat was a floating palace—comfy enough to nap through a hurricane! Captain David? The man’s a musical genius, dropping bangers that had us dancing like nobody’s watching. The Baths at Virgin Gorda? Straight-up magical, like stumbling into a pirate’s postcard. And the Willy T? Let’s just say we partied so hard I’m still finding glitter in my shoes. Book this trip unless you hate fun!

We took a private charter to the BVI with Stormy Pirates. Suzanne and Kenny were are captains. And we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend the day with us! They took us to private beaches and to the best spots to snorkel. Suzanne even got in the water to point out a stingray for us. Service was amazing as well on the boat. They never left us with an empty cup! I highly recommend using Stormy Pirates for your next charter and ask for Suzanne and Kenny!

Captain David was an excellent captain! He was very knowledgable & shared a lot of stories about the islands. We visited multiple snorkel spots & enjoyed them all. I will definitely hire David again next year when we return for our annual trip to St. Thomas!

Another couple with us had done this trip before and highly recommended it. It was the highlight of our week in the VI. Captain David is a pro who played a fantastic music soundtrack. This craft has an amazing sound system. We visited Jost Van Dyke and got to meet Foxy. Had a few drinks with Legendary Dave at Corsairs. Ate some good food at CocoLocos. Cruised around with stops at the Willy T and Pizza Pi VI.Jumped off the top deck a few times at Willy T. Ate pizza in the beautiful blue water by Pizza Pi. It’s a floating pizza shop. So cool! Put some goggles on as the fish come in for a few bites of your pizza crust. David showed us a few more sights around the area and we returned to port with a day of wonderful memories and pics. Thanks Stormy Pirates. Will definitely book again if I’m back.

Our captain, David, was really great. He let us know what to expect and made sure that everyone was safe at all times. We went to a couple of islands and floating attractions. It was a very fun day!

Private Charter for six (fuel extra). Had an absolutely fabulous day on the water. Captain Tyler was superb - asked what we wanted to do and then gave us many options. We chose to head over to St. Johns for some sightseeing and snorkeling. Went to several gorgeous beaches/coves and snorkeled reefs and even a sunken vessel. We saw lots of reef fish and even several turtles and a ray. Stopped for lunch on a small cay and Tyler provided us with local lore and info on beaches, coves, islands and features of the area. We even did some sightseeing around several of the private islands in the area. And - with a combination of medication and skillful boat operation Tyler was able to complete the entire trip while avoiding sea sickness in one of our very susceptible trip members. All in all this trip was the highlight of our two weeks in the USVI.

Brandon was a great Captain! Our safety was #1 since we had a 2 year old ; but he still made sure we could enjoy exploring other islands. The boat was in great shape and quick. Visited Virgin Gorda where he took care of all the customs pwk and payment while we went off exploring. Then we cruised the coast of other island then two landing on Josh Van Dyke. Great time!

My husband, Chuck and I booked the private charter while visiting St. Thomas on business. Our Captain, Mave, was amazing! I have to admit when my husband told me we were going on this charter I was a little anxiouus. It turned out to be an experience of a lifetime!!!! Mave was engaging, personable and very knowlegeable and an excellent Captain. I always felt safe and that is important to me because I don't swim. If you plan a visit to St. Thomas, you must book a charter and ask for Mave. Melinda and Chuck

Stormy Pirates and Captain Tyler really delivered my Birthday Sunset Cruise! The boat was amazing, Tyler pointed out many local spots and took us around St. John and right into the sunset! Tyler made a mean rum punch and played yacht rock at our request. It was perfect and the best birthday ever! We will be back!

We had a terrific day on the water circling St. John with family and friends. Captain Carlie did a great job accommodating our wishes for snorkel stops. I would highly recommend Stormy Pirates in general. I have done many trips with them on various boats. All of my experiences with the Stormy Pirate vessels have been excellent!

We did a private BVI charter with Captain Brandon and we were able to select all of our stops- snorkeling at Norman Caves and the Indians, quick stop at Sandy Spit (briefly our own private island!), and then a couple hours in the afternoon at White Bay on Jost van Dyke. He provided helpful recommendations for snorkeling, food and drinks at Jost, and even took pictures for us. The cost for our family of 7 was the same price per person as a larger group charter, but instead we had the boat to ourselves. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a must do every time my family comes to the St. John. We have a few spots that we love to snorkel and depending who is the captain that day, we might learn a new spot or two. Captain CT was awesome. Super friendly and super down to earth guy. I’m sure he gets it all the time but reminded me of Captain Ron. Took us out to one of our favorite snorkeling spots to just kind of get the day started. Hit up Lime Out for lunch is a must. After that we hit a few of our favorite places to snorkel and a few new spots we’ve never seen before. This was an awesome day! Highly recommend.

My fiancé and I went on the 6 hour private charter around St Thomas and St John. Tyler was our captain and he was awesome. Very knowledgeable of the area, had great recommendations for spots to stop by, and he made sure we had a great time. Highly recommend Stormy Pirates and to request Tyler as your captain.

We had the most fun day with Stormy Pirates Boat Charters. Our captain Tyler was the best. His focus as we got on board was safety. He went over all safety features of the boat and instructions. Our captain modified our trip to our preference of experiences. Loved snorkeling with the turtles in Moho Bay. Tyler also took us between USVI and BVI and it was the most beautiful views. Tyler really gave us the history of St John and we were very interested. Also very good rum punch.....Thanks Tyler.

Captain Carlie and Mate Lacy provided an outstanding experience for the family of my wife and I. We had a party of nine for an eight hour charter that included dropping us back at our cruise ship in East Charlotte Amalie. Not being familiar with the area, Captain Carlie had some outstanding spots for snorkeling, turtle watching, and relaxing in the water with a beer. Put trip included a stop at Pizza Pi (on PI day no less) for some hot pizza!! They both provided the most outstanding service and helped ensure we were all having an amazing time. The extra cost to get returned to the dock was well worth the cost as it made for a relaxing end to the day. Thank you to Stormy Pirates for an amazing day!!
