Private Augmented Reality Treasure Hunt In St Thomas

This is our second time, kids loved it! Great way to explore the island. They especially loved the treasure and photo op at the end!

Anthony & his team was great!! My boys had an Amazing time unraveling the clues. The excursion was well organized and fun-filled. I highly recommend the pirate as well. Loved ending the Adventure at Sapphire Beach.

This was a fantastic experience for 3 kids ages 3-9. They stayed engaged the entire time and the activities were quite creative. Really recommend this highly for anyone looking to kill some time with their family in a unique and creative way.

Kids had lots of fun! Captain Goldilocks was great and took plenty of pictures with the kids. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed the experience as a family! Anthony provides interesting information about the history of pirates at the beginning of the experience, then we were off! The location of the treasure was itself a gem!

Beautiful weather and clear blue waters. Temperature was 81-83 every day with sunny skies. Great swimming and snorkeling areas.

Amazing customer service. The owner even dropped off items we left at our hotel at 10pm so we didn't have to come back to town. Great time for my family, including 19 yr old kids!

Our tour guide was great and helpful. We had a small group of 3 and had a blast. We got to see some cool places along the way that we would've never seen if we hadn't done this trip. Fun time on a beautiful island! Would highly recommend for a great challenge

My family (myself, wife, and three kids ages 14, 11, and 8) did the Pirate Augmented Reality Treasure Hunt during our cruise stop in St Thomas in February of 2023 and we had a wonderful time. I was impressed by the quality of the equipment and other material we used as part of the experience and was nice to get to see different parts of the island. The quest elements were unique and a little challenging but not overly so - good level for vacation! Our tour guide Jess was super personable and friendly and gave a lot of information about the island and overall did a great job. For a family/group looking for something a little different I think this is an excellent option!

After searching for things to do during our two month stay in St. Thomas, my husband and I were ecstatic to find this activity! Tropical Treasure Hunt Company provided an amazing way to spend 1/2 a day in St. Thomas. We booked online in advance - selecting the Magic Portal Treasure Hunt - and completed our paperwork prior to arrival. Jess greeted us enthusiastically at the starting point and explained what to expect during this 3 hr adventure. She tested our aptitude on problem solving before releasing us into the town to find our clues. Jess provide support if we needed it. Upon finding all the necessary clues using a bag of "ancient tools/artifacts" and IPad, we contacted Jess via walkie talkie for our ride to a secret location to hunt for our treasure. Jess engaged us in friendly conversation as we were transported to the location to find our treasure. Once at the last location, we solved our last clue which led us to an exciting dig and discovery! Jess met us to capture the discovery with photos. We then headed to the bar area for a local libation and enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment. What a fantastic way to spend part of the day! We highly recommend this adventure for families and can't wait to visit again with our grown adult children to experience this as a family. A special shout out to Jess - she is wonderful! PS. as a "pump up" before adventure day, we recommend watching the movie "Unchartered" the night before.

We did a treasure hunt for my daughter's 10th birthday! She says it was EPIC! Jess was our guide great with the kids. I enjoyed talking with Anthony he was very informative. Thank you Tropical Treasure hunt for an unforgettable experience.

This was a great change of pace activity for our group. Our group was two adults and a 3 year old. The puzzles were engaging enough for our daughter’s short attention, but challenging enough to keep us occupied as well. Our daughter loved finding buried treasure. The event was a combination of geocaching and escape room.

The highlight of our trip. Great way to see the island. Food and drink were excellent. P’nut the driver was outstanding. The crew went out of their way to help us with a vow renewal at the site of the treasure. The escape room type games and the technology was cool too. All 8 of us had a great time. Nothing but positive feedback on this experience.

We are escape room junkies. Fun alternative exploring the island and checking out the local bars/restaurants! Our guide was fun as well.

We had a blast! Anthony was amazing. Very personable and helpful. Walking around finding all of the hidden treasures was a blast. My wife and I are not very good at riddles or puzzles but we were able to figure most of it out ourselves. It’s not too easy and it’s not too difficult. Perfect for any age!

We had so much fun! Our crew of five (2 adults and 3 kids (ages 13, 11, and 6)) spent a amazing morning solving interesting clues and riddles. The clues were well designed to provide a challenge for all members of the family. The plot was a touch confusing, especially at the end, but most of it was easy to follow. Anthony was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole thing. However, we do wish that the treasure hunt took us to more places around the island. The information provided on TripAdvisor says that we will get to, “explore and experience the beautiful Virgin Islands”. We didn’t really feel like we saw that much of the island, though the end location was beautiful! All in all, this was an amazing experience that we recommend.

Perfect activity for kids/family!! Single mom with 2 kids, 7 & 9, this was a lot of fun for the three of us, we worked together to solve the riddles and a couple of times got stuck, but assistance was just a walkie-talkie call away (I think my son may have just wanted to talk on it!) The logistics were great, our hunt was not physically strenuous at all, and a great way to spend a couple of morning hours before settling in to the rest of the day on the beach where the hunt ended. It's really creative , perfect level of challenge, without being too easy or impossible, and really really fun (more than I had imagined) to dig into the sand and pull up a treasure chest!! Thanks Anthony for offering this activity!

We were a little late (taxi mixup for these first timers) and our host was very patient. We got a call the morning of to confirm everything. Once we arrived, we got some complimentary coffee, then set off. It was a pretty hot day so was nice that we had multiple opportunities to get drinks along the way. Not too many clues, and not too few; it was great for our kids (10 & 6) though the younger one had a harder time following along. Mom & Dad may have also been too eager to help solve. It was fun, we couldn’t help it! 😂

We did the Golden Age of Piracy Treasure Hunt that started with a fun puzzling experience at the super cool Pirate museum. The kids (and us!) learned a lot about pirates and their connection to the virgin islands. It was so interesting. We figured out what beach to head to next and we're greeted by an entertaining pirate who (we paid in doubloons lol) for our final clue. X marked the spot on an incredible beach and the kids had the time of their lives digging up a big treasure chest! There were lots of goodies inside but what was awesome is they let us add our own treasures in to surprise the kiddos as well! Cannot say enough about this experience! Our kids are 10,8 and 3 and all enjoyed the outside escape-roomesque hunt! It's a must do. Plus the owner Anthony is so enthusiastic and even gave us recommendations of things to do during our visit!

This was the best PD day we ever had!! I hope our company chooses to do it again 🤞🏼 We made do many fun memories. Great team building with lots of laughter :))

We did this with two adults and two 10 yr olds and everyone had an amazing time! Our guide Emily went above a and beyond to make the adventure memorable! Captain Anthony and his crew did a phenomenal job at impersonating pirates as they gave All Saints Cathedral School a fun-filled adventure. This is the perfect opportunity for locals to take their students on a field trip around island-for my students and I truly enjoyed the engaging adventure that took us to Sapphire Beach, Chicken and Bowling (for students to bowl), the Pirate Treasure Museum, and then back to Sapphire Beach for find our buried treasure. If you are an educator on island, I HIGHLY recommend working with Captain Anthony and his crew to book a field trip or summer enrichment activity for your students. It was a phenomenal way for our students to explore the island, learn more history of our past, and team build in solving puzzles.

Just amazing ! 3 generations of gals solving a treasure hunt with challenging clues. At the end , the treasure chest find was so cool, it was BIG! The skeptical 13 yo was smiling and thoroughly loved it! Guide was excellent, just do it! So out of the “ordinary”

AMAZING ADVENTURE!!!! With 2 adults, 3 Teenagers & 2 Children, EVERYONE had a BLAST!!!!! So much fun. One of the best excursions we took in St. Thomas!!!! We even have a special needs child and Anthony was available to communicate with prior to the hunt & set up everything for our family. WHAT A BLAST THIS WAS!!!!!

We have been home for almost a week now and my kids are still playing pirates! The treasures they uncovered on the beach have been reburied, shipwrecked in the bath tub, and there are clues all over the house leading to different treasures. Thank you Tropical Treasure Hunt for creating magic that has sparked imagination and spilled into our daily lives. This was an experience they will never forget!

This adventure was so fun ! Great team bonding activity. I was little skeptical because I Imagined a corny scavenger hunt but it was more than that ! Very well thought out and detailed. Also very interactive, gets your brain working. I also love how four key tourist areas were incorporated within. Well worth every penny!

We had a really good time on the treasure hunt. At first we were not sure about doing the augmented version, but since we were with our special needs daughter, that worked out great. She was good at operating the iPad, so she was able to contribute the whole time, even if not understanding the clues. Anthony was great! So much fun and was especially good with our daughter. Fun way to spend a morning, get some island history and see a beautiful beach.

You can spend your time in St. Thomas going to beaches and bars, and doing some shopping, and those are all nice. But this is an experience you won't find anywhere else. We thoroughly enjoyed our treasure hunt, which had interesting but not frustrating or impossible puzzles, and we had a chance to visit a bunch of interesting places we wanted to check out again later. The owner is a great young entrepreneur, and he drove us around when the puzzle took us to different locations. You can enjoy the hunt with friends, to be sure, but note also that your significant other will be impressed that you lined up something unique and unusual instead of the typical tourist traps. Go do it!

We recently traveled to St.Thomas with a group of 14 of us. 7 adults and 7 kids (kids ranging from 4-11 years old). We participated in this treasure hunt which was great for all ages! You were able to see a bit of the town, and then ended up on a beautiful beach where the buried treasure was found! We were able to relax afterwards and grab a drink and hang out in some of the bluest water we had seen on St. Thomas. The staff was very nice and helpful and really made it a great experience for everyone. We highly recommend this!

This was a truly unique and fun experience. My young kids 5 and 8 where able to participate and help us answer riddles and solve problems. When we forgot something on the shuttle Ozzie came back to our hotel to drop it off. Great experience not easily forgotten!
