Great experience with kyrell
Great tour guide and beautiful scenery
Amazing time with a great guide! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Absolutely recommend to all. Our guide was Swish and he was awesome.
Great educational experience filled with fun and adventure. Host and guide were knowledgeable, responsible and friendly. Felt safe.
Alonso was a very great and funny guide. I enjoyed my experience (even with falling in) and Alonso made sure I was able to get back in my kayak and safely guide us to our origin point.
We had the best time with our guide Jonathan. We took our six year old daughter who was able to keep up with the snorkel portion the entire time. We saw sting rays, lots of different fish, an octopus, and a jelly fish!! Such a fun and active tour but good for all levels!
Swish was awesome! Fun for the whole family, very informative and beautiful sights!
Perez was a great tour guide! The sunset kayak tour was beautiful and we saw amazing wildlife!
Swish took us on a great adventure !
Nash was great guide! Beautiful scenery and wildlife.
We did a self-guided tour and honestly was one of our best experiences on St. Thomas. We showed up around 11am (but you could go as early as 8am). There is a little parking lot, changing rooms, and little lockers. The manager for the day set up our kayaks, gave us life jackets, and a map with instructions on where to go. She went over pretty detailed instructions, and mentioned that if we have any questions, we can ask any of the tour guide that we’re out there. We had our own snorkeling stuff, but they would give you some if you don’t. We kayaked to Cas Cay (took about 30mins), then pulled our kayaks up on the beach. There is a hike you can take which apparently has beautiful views. We went about a quarter mile of the way, but didn’t bring the proper shoes to continue (would recommend bringing sneakers with you if you’d like to hike). The island is infested with hermit crabs which is pretty cool, but you have to watch your step. We spent a few hours snorkeling around the island, and saw some really cool fish. We spent about 3/4 hours out there, but could’ve spent longer. I’d recommend bringing a lot of water bottles (they have if you forgot) and some snacks if you want to stay out there for a while. Also would recommend a hat and a drawstring bag.
Alonso was a fantastic guide. We had the best tour through the mangrove and learned great facts. If you are looking for kayak snorkeling combo. This is the tour to take.
Alonzo and Nash were awesome they showed us a lot of cool things and were very knowledgeable and they told us their stories of living here and traveling to nearby islands
What a great experience! The kayak was peaceful and the snorkeling along the mangrove was super cool. Beautiful scenery! Brooke was a great guide.
Alonzo was fantastic took great care of us and showed us very many cool sites and taught us history, would highly recommend this tour.
We kayaked through the mangroves, saw a ton of different wildlife and fish while swimming and snorkeling. The tour guide was amazing!!
Views were amazing. Out tour guide Marcus was helpful, kind and my kids loved him. He not only showed us beautiful views and he gave info in the local wildlife. We had an amazing time snorkeling!
Marcus was amazing! This is should be on everyone’s to do list! The quality of service, safety, and fun was exceptional!
Cas was a great guide! Very fun and informative. Great way to spend an afternoon. Snorkel and kayak tour. Trip out with my best girlfriends 😊☀️
We would booked very last minute same day as the cruise came in. I text them and Sybille contacted me straight away and spoke to me on the phone and went through everything and also directions where to meet the pick up point. Sybille was extremely helpful Our driver was Melvin he was so friendly and we kept asking him all about the island and he was happy to tell us. When we got to the kayaking Melvin also helped us with a map and a kayak as well which was good and gave us some useful info as we wasn’t sure what we needed to do for the kayaking and afterwards was there for us at the end to take us back to the ship. Such an interesting person and very helpful. Both are a credit to the company. Thank you to both very much for making our day go smoothly and enjoyable. Caroline
We enjoyed night kayaking. It ended up just being 3 of us. They picked us up from hotel and took us back. Even gave us bug spray. Our guide was Albert and he was great! Much fun.
Awesome kyaking exursion through the mangroves off St. Thomas Island. Our guides were Jay and Lilly, two awesome young ladies with a penchant for adventure. They pointed out a lot of interesting facts about the different species of mangroves, and other ecological and historical facts about the island. Kayaking was great... snorkleing was fun but nothing extraordinary, but that is nothing against the company nor the guides. Recommend this excursion to anyone.
Rented snorkeling gear for a week and on the last day, rented two kayaks. Great and friendly staff, worth it every penny.
The guides and itinerary were fantastic. We had a group of 14 - ranging in ages of 23 - 63. Everyone really enjoyed the trip. The initial briefing was very informative as well as information the guides provided during the trip. There were different levels of ability in the group and the guides accommodated everyone. Everyone loved the tour. I highly recommend!
My wife and two young adult children rented kayaks and we had a great time kayaking and snorkeling such an unusual habitat. They were very relaxed and helpful and even leant us snorkels. Easy to get to and a great price. i would highly recommend.
really fun experience. learning about mangroves, horseshoe crabs, the kayaking, geography, some history of the waterways (Blackbeard), holding an upsidedown jellyfish - you won't regret this tour! Our guide was Anslem, he was a great tourguide!
Troy, Kyrell and Tye were amazing hosts during our kayak trip. Not only full of energy and good fun, but so knowledgable about the mangroves and the island. They educated us about the native animals, trees and waters. It was such a fun experience and I am SO glad we did this trip with them!
Very nice staff - well orgarnized and they have great kayaks. The mangrove area is beautiful and its fun to kayak to the island and hike around. Overall a great experience!
My boyfriend and I had such a good time here. We did the single kayaks and snorkeling by ourselves and the views were so beautiful, the kayak to the beach was smooth and easy to get to. Big shout out to Dia and Devon who helped set us up good!, and had some real good talk before leaving. Thank you so much for the restaurant recommendations and your hospitality. We definitely will be returning and will recommend everyone to you! Blessings 🙏🏾🥰
Favorite part of the outing was learning from our guide, Jelani, whose knowledge and personality made the trip very enjoyable!
What a wonderful day! and when it was over Shay-Lin Smith topped it off with a smile, a painkiller, and beautiful beach shirt. Get away from the crowds and enjoy the natural environment! You can't beat this experience!
Wonderfully helpful staff! We needed a last-minute kayak reservation, for our last day on St. Thomas. Adia was extremely helpful and flexible on the phone, and "moved some things around" to make it happen. Meanwhile, Jaylani was both the dock guy and the bartender and the cashier and.... Jaylani not only went overboard in terms of making us feel special and attended to, but he showed us a photo of his Octopi friends that we might see when snorkeling at a certain spot. It was a wonderful afternoon and we would love to go back! Thanks to Adia and Jaylani, and all the staff!
Emmanuel was spectacular! Passionate about his work; highly informative and educational; deeply personable and caring about those in the tour; and the front desk staff were immaculately helpful. I can't say enough good things about them, except that the LEVEL of CUSTOMER SERVICE RECIEVED is the GOLD STANDARD for EVERY BUSINESS. EVERYTHING we needed was taken care of. We were encouraged; we were informed; we were kept safe; we were challenged; we were complimented; we were guided, and we were taken CARE of. The GEAR was SANITIZED ON SITE and IN VIEW of TOURISTS. We were provided free waters AND given an UNEXPECTED gift at the very end of our experience. I HIGHLY recommend Emmanuel's sunset tours. Also---tip your guides!! Take care of the people who take care of YOU! -Sincerely, Andrew & Sophia
We went night kayaking, and it was great . The tour guides were accomodating, fun, and knowledgeable of the area. I would recommend trying it.
My friends and I had a great time with Immanuel! He's really passionate about conserving the mangrove ecosystem and led us on a great snorkel tour in Cas Key.
Check in was painless, kayak and equipment was ready for us. No pressure to join groups. Staff was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend them to anyone
Had a wonderful tour and came back 3 times to rent kayaks and do a self guided tour. It is a wonderful way to spend a day. After kayaking, hiking and snorkeling we had a delicious lunch back where we started. The food was excellent! My favorites are the pulled pork wrap, mahi sandwich and home made Cole slaw.
Very relaxing. Not as many birds as expecting, but the mangroves and the view was spectacular. Guides were great (especially if you like dad jokes) and the whole experience was a great contrast to the bustling quality fo saint thomas
Fun trip! We rented 2 kayaks for 2 parents and 2 kids. We had expected to be just hanging around the lagoon looking at mangrove roots and small fish under water. But the guides suggested we do what they do on their tours, going over to Cass Cay. They said that's the place to see the underwater life, and as a bonus there's the great hike. We're glad we followed the advice, since the Cay was definitely the best part. We were glad we went on our own, because we could explore at our own pace. For instance, the kids spent a long time watching the hundreds of hermit crabs skitter around, and helped bring some new homes to them. The snorkeling wasn't spectacular, in my opinion, but it was fun to see a different underwater environment from other places on St. Thomas and St. John. Definitely glad we did it!
We went paddling with Matt last Thursday and had a great time. VI Ecotours does well to use guides trained in natural resources. Matt told us alot about the habitats, local species and recent hurricane impacts. Without his help we'd have missed a lot. I highly recommend this trip if you are interested in the ecological community and want to get in some paddling to boot.
We saw an amazing package of Kayaking, a short hike and snorkeling in a single tour with 'Virgin Islands Ecotours' and without any second thought booked it! It was my first time of Kayaking and Snorkeling, so was bit nervous too. But many thanks to our tour tour guide Allison, she made it a piece of cake! While kayaking through mangrove forests, Allison explained us how mangrove played a crucial role during the hurricanes and helped in saving the boats and lives of people. She also showed us the various flora and birds nesting inside the mangrove forest. We hiked for 15 minutes besides the sea shore and saw many of the shell crabs(sorry forgot their name) which foretells the arrival of hurricanes, world's one of the extremely venomous tree(we were told this has 7-8 types of venom, no cure found out yet), pirates bay and breathtaking rocky sea splash spots. Her instructions helped me a lot while snorkeling and she showed us incredible marine life. Pros: ------ 1) 3 hours of total trip in just 80$ per person(included pick and drop off), they do give LIFE JACKETS! 2) With a single group tour, could explore more, got along well with the guide, became familiar with the various marine life and life on island! 3) Luckily got the best instructor so far who is very friendly, helpful and a person with great patience! 4) Great experience to kayak through mangrove forest! 5) Tour guide captured all our 3 hours of tour moments even when inside water, which had cost approximately 30$. 6) Guide also carried adequate water bottles and chocolates which kept us hydrated and energized! Cons: -------- 1) Don't remember any cons. But Sun was the only culprit. Applying loads of waterproof sunscreen lotions and wearing water repellent full sleeves clothe might help.
We had a group of 6 and were given such a fun tour by three guides. We had an experienced guide (Adian, (like Canadian)), a newbie guide ("J") and a photographer (we called him Prince Harry). The three of them gave us so much information and history on the Mangroves and also their purpose on how they protect the boats during storms. Once out of the kayaks, they took us on a little hike on a small island followed by snorkeling. They brought plenty of H2O for us as well as chocolate so we stayed hydrated and energized! At the end of the tour, we found out we could get all the photos they took (200+) for only $35.00 total! What an incredible deal. These guys were so nice, friendly, and know what they are doing. I would do it again for sure!
