Kayak And Sea Turtle Snorkel With Beach Break

Absolutely amazing. Our guide Sven was absolutely amazing he not only brought us to a beautiful beach for snorkeling which we saw many sea turtles and other fish and reefs but then brought us to another beautiful beach for kayaking. We saw places we would’ve never seen if it wasn’t for him, fed us a good sandwich at the beach and truly this was my favorite event out of all the activities we had done. Very memorable!

Totally worth the trip. Our guide Sven was amazing. He was very knowledgeable. It was great having someone identify all the sea life we had been seeing all week. He found us several turtles to observe as well as rays and octopus. We then went kayaking in the ocean. A great experience.

Sven was such a knowledgeable guide. We were able to see many things during our snorkeling part of the trip. The kayaking part was so much fun. Would definitely recommend others to try it!

We definitely snorkeled with sea turtles 🐢 ❤️ And we kayaked across a stretch of ocean to an island (this pushed my faith) but I LOVED it! Sven was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable about local flora and he took photos of us with the turtles and knew exactly when and where to find them. It’s an adventurous, physically demanding trip - we were both pooped at the end of it- but TOTALLY worth it.

What a great adventure this is!!! Sven was our guide and he was very informative about the ecology, trees, fruits, all things about the island, how certain animals ended up on the island, etc. Saw plenty of turtles and enjoyed a private beach. Then for the kayaking, he took us down to an area only accessible by off-roading so we 4x4'd down the mountain to a very remote area to kayak. It was SO FUN!! He had a nice lunch of sandwiches prepared for us, cookies included and soda or water. He allowed us to go at our own pace and never hurried us and was always informative about whatever environment we were in. This is a great tour... take it if you love adventure and sea turtles... OH, and we were both new to snorkeling, so our first excursion, this was great to a get a good lesson on snorkel equipment from Sven!! Valuable info I used the rest of my stay!

Our extended family of 8 (ranging in age from 9 to 72) booked a private sea turtle kayak and snorkel tour. Everyone had a wonderful time and learned a lot about the ecology of the island! We saw many sea turtles, squid, octopus, crabs, and plenty of fish on our snorkel tour. The grandparents enjoyed a beach break while the rest of us kayaked, then we hand lunch and a short nature walk. Sven and Michelle took lots of great photos, both under and above water, which they edited and sent to us after the tour. Definitely recommended.

My friend and I signed up for this excursion not really knowing what to expect. It exceeded all of our expectations. Learning to kayak with Sven was great. He was a good teacher and showed us much of the Sea life while we rowed. Snorkeling equipment was excellent and he pointed out many of the things we saw on the coral. The best part was the turtles. We were served a good lunch and we're sent pictures. Well worth the money!!!! I would recommend this trip to everyone.

We were met just in time by Michelle and were taken to the beach. Kayak was cancelled because of rough waters which seemed to be just fine. I think this was substituted by eco-tour done by Sven which was great. Swam in warm shallow tropical shore waters and saw a few turtles and stingrays. Overall experience is very god, great staff! Thank you Michelle and Sven!

Myself, my husband, and his family all booked this excursion after hearing about the sea turtles in St.Thomas from friends. Half of the group chose the short walk version, while the other half booked the kayak trip. Both were awesome! Michelle was extremely friendly and so easy to get along with. She even drove the walking tour group to the top of a mountain to take in the views.The other group went kayaking with Sven and it was nothing short of amazing! Sven was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that everyone was enjoying their time but always remaining safe. Once completed with the first portion of the tour, we all met on the beach where the snorkeling with sea turtles excursion began. It was absolutely breathtaking!! Saw TONS of sea turtles, stingrays, fish (including a HUGE tarpon), octopus, and tons of birds. After snorkeling, we all relaxed on beach chairs and ate the lunch provided which was delicious! Then when we thought it was coming to an end, Sven took us tarantula hunting! YES, tarantulas. It was the most unexpected but exciting experience. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better excursion. Thank you so much Michelle and Sven! I highly recommend this experience!

I'm so glad my family and I went on this excursion. Sven was the best! He gave us some great history of the island, current events happing around the island, culture, and ecosystem education. We actually ran into 2 dolphins on the kayak out from the beach and jumped off to swim with them! They were very playful and swam right up to the kayaks and were within arms reach as we were in the water with them. Once we made it to the beach area we beached the kayaks and did the snorkel tour with turtles. We saw TONS of them. One even came up for air within arms reach of me. We also saw a large stingray, octopus, squid, numerous fish, fire coral, upside-down jellyfish, tarpon, etc. I highly recommend this tour. It gets you out with nature and is very educational. The tarantula hunting was a perfect ending to our trip. Thanks to Sven and Michelle for everything, especially the underwater pictures!

Although we had kayaked in the ocean before, Sven gave us some instruction prior to entering the water and it definitely improved our kayaking, so that was a nice bonus! We arrived on St Thomas on a cruise ship but Sven guided us to a quiet, deserted bay where we were able to snorkel and marvel at the beautiful coral and fishes. He also took some great photos of us which he sent us afterwards. After the provided lunch, he then led us to another bay where we found turtles and rays. He was very careful about not disturbing the turtles which was a nice change since we go to Hawaii a lot and have seen so many instances of people chasing after turtles for photo ops. Throughout our tour, Sven narrated with information about the island's history and the flora and fauna we were seeing. He capped it off by showing us how to "fish" for tarantulas and it was something I'll remember for a long time.

Swen was our guide. He was very informative and taught us a lot about the terrain and life on the island. We saw plenty of turtles. Kayaking across the bay was a nice little workout. We enjoyed every part of the excursion. Highly recommended.

Sven did a nice job sharing information during the kayak piece of the tour, altho at times very hard to hear what he was saying. He also did a very good job locating turtles while snorkeling at Honeymoon beach at Water island. While the ad mentions a 1.5 mile to kayak - it seemed much farther and on that particular day there were some pretty serious waves to contend with. When they say you need to be in reasonable condition for the kayak piece - they were not kidding~!

This was an amazing experience with Sven. He was so patient with my husband who can't get hos ears too wet. We saw so many sea turtles. It was the highlight of our vacation. Michelle was so helpful on the island. I highly recommend these friendly and knowledgeable people. Amazing experience

We did the kayak over to Honeymoon Beach where we snorkeled and had lunch. The kayak over was pretty difficult for beginners (the day of our excursion was very windy), but Sven was very patient and kept us at ease. The snorkeling at honeymoon beach was a lot of fun, and we saw several turtles! The photos we got from Michelle and Sven were really great!! Lunch at Heidi's was delicious and the perfect fuel needed to kayak back to our starting point. I would definitely do this excursion again, and highly recommend St. Thomas Adventure Tours.

Absolute blast kayaking with Sven and snorkeling with Sea Turtles. Michelle was amazingly helpful on the islands. The lunch was unreal. The burger was one of the best I have ever had. Definitely head out on one of their trips if you are on the island.

We spent most of our vacation exploring the beautiful beaches of St. Thomas and St. John but we knew we wanted to have a more adventurous experience for at least one day while we were down there. We found St Thomas Adventure Tours, read the great reviews, and made the decision to give it a try. Sven was great. He knew about the history of the island, the wildlife along the shore as we were kayaking to our destination, and so much about the turtles and fish we saw on our snorkel adventure. I really like that each tour is kept small intentionally for the benefit of both the visitors and the turtles. We will definitely return and book another excursion with St Thomas Adventure Tours.

I highly recommend St. Thomas Adventure Tours. We booked the kayak and sea turtle snorkel after speaking with Michelle on the phone about all the different options available. The trip exceeded expectations. Our guide was Sven, who gave us helpful tips on both paddling and adjusting the fit of our snorkel mask. He led us on a leisurely paddle to Water Island, pointing out interesting plants and geological features and taking photos along the way. We snorkeled and saw several turtles, some of which Sven had names for. We had lunch at the beach bar and then we had a leisurely paddle back to our starting point. Transportation was provided to and from our hotel. The photos of our group paddling and snorkeling were emailed to us promptly.

We found St. Thomas Adventure Tours on TripAdvisor. After reading all of their positive reviews & comparing their prices to the price of similar tours being offered through Disney Cruise Lines we decide to book the Kayak & Sea Turtle Snorkel tour. The age of our family members ranged from my 70 yo mother in-law w/two bionic hips to my eight year old nephew. There were nine of us in total, six people decided to kayak while I opted for the boat ride & short hike to the secret turtle viewing spot w/my 8 yo nephew & mother in-law in tow. The boat ride was smooth & uneventful the short hike was pretty neat. Jo (one of our guides) was a native of St. Thomas and she was able to point out many native plants, trees and wildlife along our short walk which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The group that kayaked had an equally good time with their guide Sven. The water was smooth and extremely clear, so they were able to get a nice workout in while enjoying the scenic surroundings. The turtle viewing beach was amazing, TOP SECRET! But AMAZING. it looked like something out of a postcard. The turtles were breath taking and the complimentary lunch provided was legit! Jo & Sven were amazing guides and everyone in our family had a fantastic time. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that The Turtle Snorkel & Kayaking, was truly one of the highlights of our trip! We highly recommend them.
