Half Or Full-day Private Boat Charter From St. John Or St. Thomas

Captain Caroline was absolutely fantastic. She suggested an itinerary for the day and checked the pulse of our group several times throughout the journey to make sure we were happy. The boat was beautiful and well kept. We split the cost with a couple we traveled with and this made it a great value for what we did. She took us to great spots where there were virtually no other tourists. I would do this excursion again if funds allow. Super kudos to Caroline!

This was the perfect way for our family of 5 to get out and explore and get in some great snorkeling. We have 3 young children (1,3 and 5) and Captain Caroline was so fantastic balancing finding the places for my husband, me and 5 year old to enjoy some snorkeling while the smaller 2 enjoyed bobbing around and still seeing turtles. The boat was well maintained and clean and equipped with everything we needed for a fun morning out on the water.

Could not have asked for a better experience! Bryan was our captain and he messaged us the day before to check in on everything and helped us plan our day. The boat was awesome and he took us around St. Thomas and St. John to the best snorkeling spots where we saw turtles and lots of fish. He also shared really cool historical facts along the way. Highly recommend this experience!

Absolute favorite excursion. Captain Bryan was knowledgeable, friendly and the snorkeling equipment was great! Just the right balance of touring the water/islands with some history and cooling off in the water floating around by the gorgeous beaches or optional snorkeling. Booked a private tour for our family of 6 when we stopped on our cruise in St. Thomas. Worth the little bit of extra money to have a private charter and would definitely book again next time we come to the area. Our guide Sean made our trip. Very friendly and knowledgeable, explained the different island histories and pointed out local landmarks. Customized our tour and we go to do what WE wanted. Amazing tour and it just didn't last long enough because we had to get back to the ship!

We had the best time on this tour. Our captain was knowledgeable and personable. the boat was clean and comfortable and just beautiful. We went snorkeling and saw some gorgeous beaches and really cool fish. Unfortunately due to the wind and how choppy the water was we were unable to do the "lunch" portion that is advertised as an option, as that would have eaten up all of our time. This was of no fault to the charter, just the weather not wanting to cooperate, but something to keep in mind if you have your heart set on it. We would absolutely book with Bonus Time Charters again.

This experience was a highlight of our trip. First Bonus Time saved the day for us, our original group cancelled due to mechanical failure. Our property manager gave me Bonus Times phone and I reached out late at night asking if they could accommodate us for the very next day. They did and we had the best boat captain and an amazing experience. Caroline was fantastic and took us sightseeing and snorkeling. We had a blast. The boat was very nice. I would highly recommend Bonus Time for your boating experience.

Sooo happy we did this!!!! Bonus time charters with Captain Steve is the way to go. Captain Steve was absolutely amazing and the boat was perfect for the 6 of us. The best thing is the price!! We got to take a beautiful boat ride, have drinks, swim and snorkel!!! The route that Captain Steve took us on and the beaches he took us too was 5 stars. We will definitely being doing it again when we come back!!!!

We had a wonderful trip. Captain Andrew was very personable and knowledgeable about the area, and took us to 3 different snorkel spots during our half day tour. We were able to snorkel with tropical fish, sea turtles and manta rays. It was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend.

Captain Bryan picked my family up in st Thomas and we snorkeled at St. John. Bryan was great. We snorkeled a few locations including a shipwreck and saw lots of wildlife, even a couple of sea turtles. Captain Bryan was a perfect fit for my family. He was knowledgeable and patient with my children. He was happy to take us to a pizza restaurant operated out of a sailboat. An absolutely unique experience! The perfect day and the best part of our 8 day cruise. Thank you Bryan!

Captain Danny made sure we had the best charter as possible when the seas weren't the greatest for snorkeling. The 29' world cat was a smooth ride under the conditions, great size for family of 4 with teens. Learned some fun history of the islands when sightseeing (Oppenheimer Beach, Epstein island, Celebrity houses, etc). It was Spotted Eagle Ray mating season when we were there in July, we saw so many in the bays. We weren't sure if Pizza Pi was worth the time during the few hours we had, but it was!! We are in the boating industry back home in Florida, this was a great value and fuel fee was also very affordable. Andrew was very responsive when booking directly.

The catamaran was amazing and so was Capt Vic! We had a great time and enjoyed our snorkeling experience; even saw a huge nurse shark and a school of Bally hoo!

Incredible experience - Andrew and Laura were fantastic hosts and wonderful to work with. This private boat tour and snorkeling was one of the highlights of our family vacation! We brought our 9 and 11 year old with us, along with a couple friends - great time was had by all!

We had a great day boating around St. John and St. Thomas with Captain Bryan. He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a bunch of fun facts. He took us to a few great snorkeling spots where we saw tons of tropical fish, some turtles, rays, and squid. They provided us plenty of bottled water, snorkel gear, and noodles. He placed our advanced order at Pizza Pi, which was also delicious. We would book with Bonus Time Charters again when we visit.

What an awesome day! We were greeted by Andrew who is so friendly! He was totally prepared and ready for our putting. Took us to beautiful spots- lots of turtles and fish and he gave a great background to each spot we visited. Great music to sail along to as well. So worth the excursion and so lucky to have a great Captain with Andrew!

Unbelievable day. Our only regret is, we wished we would have booked a full day. We hit three great spots to snorkel. We saw countless fish, turtles, and eagle rays. We even got a little time on a beach in accessible by land. Andrew was amazing. We will definitely use him again next time we are in St. Thomas.

The boat was beautiful, the snorkeling was great, and the drinks were amazing made by Steph, who was very attentive, kind, cheerful, top notch hospitality! However cannot say the same for the captain whose name was Vick. Being in our 60's, we were amazed and shocked at the rudeness, and disrespect of this young man. We mentioned it jokingly to him several times, hopeful he would get the hint, but avoidance was the best action for us, so we did not interact with him after all the comments. If you are a senior adult, I would highly recommend making sure he is not your captain. His comments are demeaning and disrespectful for the hospitality service industry.

Captain Andrew made the booking seamless and Captain Danny took care of all our sightseeing and snorkeling needs. This is a great alternative to the crowds and the morning trip beats the crowds. Captain Danny is so efficient and gets you to all the good spots before the big groups arrive. Unfortunately the floating pizza shop was fully booked that day but Captain Danny will call your orders in ahead of time to save time. They have a cooler full of ice for any drinks you want to bring and the dock has a huge selection to choose from. I like that this is an optional cost and not automatically included in your booking. We chose the smaller boat and I was surprised at how AMAZING it was! Lots of room for 8 people and music vibe was great. The snorkeling gear was clean and the masked didn’t fog up once…everything worked awesome. The cost of a taxi from the ferry terminal was $17/person each way and easy to arrange. Our driver even planned to pick us up and take us back to ferry. Our tour overall was simplistic, smoothness and stunning. Captain Danny was fun, informative and super classy! Definitely book with Bonus time Tours and you won’t be disappointed!!! Thanks from the Canadian Crew…Eh!

This was our second time out with Bonus Time Charters in St. John, and that alone should say a lot! We had Captain Andrew on our first trip and Captain Steve on our second, and both were fantastic. This was SO fun! Absolutely the highlight of our cruise. Our two guides were so cool and nice and we had a great time talking with them. The pizza pi boat was delicious and such a unique experience to eat from a floating restaurant. We were very happy to book this and the snorkeling was great. Thank you!

Captain Steve is great!! He definitely knows the waters and we felt very safe even through the seas were a little choppy. The team was also very flexible: they worked with our cruise schedule, they were able to accommodate kids including our 16 month old daughter, and they honored our last minute request of adding on some friends we ran into last minute on the cruise. Wonderful experience and we would 100% do it all over again with this crew!

Awesome afternoon on the water! Captain Andrew was great! Did some sightseeing, snorkeling and had pizza on floating out on the water. When snorkeling saw lots of beautiful fish, rays and even a couple of sea turtles! Would highly recommend!

They were flexible with where we wanted go.

Our excursion operator was very accommodating, the jets skis were in great shape. We were able to go full speed if we wanted to. We got to see so much of the country side from the water. We would definitely recommend this activity if you like adventure.
