Full Day Cultural Jeep Beach Tour, St. Thomas &/Or Water Island

Our guide, China, was genuinely very nice and friendly, and I don’t want that to get lost in my feedback. However, we were disappointed with the overall experience. There didn’t seem to be much of a plan or structure to the tour. He never really asked where we wanted to go or what we were interested in seeing, didn’t offer to take pictures of us along the way, and rarely offered opportunities to get out of the vehicle and explore. This was especially disappointing because previous reviews of the company made it sound like getting out, experiencing the island, and seeing different spots were a big part of the tour. A significant portion of our time was also spent listening to his personal beliefs about medicinal plants, natural remedies, and what people should or shouldn’t eat and drink to prevent certain medical diseases. He was pretty pushy about these beliefs. I respect that everyone has their own opinions, but it became uncomfortable and wasn’t what we had signed up for or what we expected from a personal guided island tour. I certainly can’t speak for the other guides or the company as a whole, but I did want to make you aware of our experience with China.

We had an amazing time on our tour! Our driver, Jonica, took us to a ton of great spots and she was so fun! We enjoyed spending the day with her and we are so thankful she was our driver. She really cared about us having an amazing time!

We stayed on St. John but wanted to spend a day on St. Thomas to see the amazing beaches and other sites. China was a fantastic communicator starting even before the tour. He found us straight off the ferry and gave us an awesome tour. We saw some amazing beaches, got world famous banana daiquiris, and learned a ton about the history of St. Thomas along with a fascinating local botany lesson.

This was our second time touring with Jammin' Jeep Tours in St. Thomas. Both times we were on island for the day as part of cruise stop. Our family consist of myself, my wife and our two teenage children. Our guide, "G" has been great both times. He is extremely knowledgeable of the culture in St. Thomas and can give insight that a lot of "regular" tour guides just can't offer. There is no better way to see the island, than with the trade winds blowing in your hair while riding in the bright yellow Bronco! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is staying on the island or who might be stopping for the day via cruise ship. You won't be disappointed.

We ended up not going to Water Island, but that was just because we ran out of time and chose not to. We are very leisurely travelers, so we like to linger at places a bit longer. We loved all the stops. I especially loved the food truck stop for a local snack. I also loved all the stops for photos - and seeing the various beaches. It was nice to compare them for when I come back for a longer stay. I did like the store at the banana daiquiri place and the views - but I feel the drink itself is overrated and overpriced. I travel a LOT and don't need plastic souvenir cups. I did feel pressured to purchase one per person, which I should have just said no. But I hate saying no, so I just bought it. I recommend if you don't want it -- don't feel bad saying no. We loved hanging with Rocky. He was fantastic. He allowed my husband to ride up front, which really helped him with his knee issue and hearing. It made it very enjoyable for both of us. The roads can be interesting, so if you are prone to motion sickness - take your ginger (or whatever you typically use). I did fine with my ginger. It was a great day spent exploring the island and learning more about it. I am very pleased with the tour and Rocky.

We had a wonderful tour with Jammin’ Jeeps. We just wanted to go to an uncrowded beach. Our driver was fabulous and took us to a beautiful beach. He had suggested several and said we could beach hop for the day if we wanted. We loved the first beach so much, we just decided to stay there for the day! Wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!

My family of four from Saskatchewan Canada, did a 6 hour private St. Thomas tour. Rocky, our tour guide, drove us around the island hitting all the highlights, and also took us to honeymoon Beach, as that is the beach that we had chose to spend some time to relax. we loved everything about this trip. Rocky did an amazing job!!! very knowledgable,very friendly, FUN and very relatable to my teenagers, as he was a young tour guide himself. Bonus👊🏻🤍

We had an absolutely amazing time on the full-day jeep tour! From start to finish, the experience exceeded expectations and was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Jonica, was incredible—knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about what she does. She made the entire day engaging, entertaining, and seamless, ensuring everyone was comfortable while still making it an adventure. We laughed nonstop and had an absolute blast. The booking process was also extremely easy, and Lisa was fantastic. She patiently answered all of our questions and made sure everything was smooth and stress-free before the tour even began. This is an experience we would 100% do again and highly recommend to everyone. If you’re considering a jeep tour, don’t hesitate—this one is truly exceptional.

Jaro was full of insights about the island, shared his own family history and background, and didn't shy away from the million questions my family asked. He was kind, respectful, and always aware of our needs and wants. Due to the weather, Jaro adjusted the schedule to still hit our wants while trying to avoid the rain. This was our best excursion. These guys all treated us like family. We will be talking about St thomas for years because of this excursion. We also are taking home some art work that was made by our guide. This meant the world to us for her to share this with us.

Let me start by saying that I never leave reviews but this tour was so fantastic that I felt compelled to let the world know. We were in St. Thomas as one of our cruise stops and wanted a more personalized tour than what was available on through the cruise line. We decided to go with Jammin Jeep tours and I'm so glad we did! Lisa was able to arrange it so that our group of 8 could stick together in 2 separate cars. We had a fantastic time! Jonica and Jaro were fantastic guides. We felt like we were hanging out with old friends all day! They met us right when we got off the ship and took us to the cars - a Jeep and a Bronco. Both cars were impeccably clean! We were driving with Jonica. She is so sweet and fun to talk to! We saw amazing views around town while Jonica gave us some history and cool facts about the island. Then, we spent the afternoon swimming and relaxing on Water Island. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Everything was handled seamlessly from booking all the way until they dropped us off back at the ship. Highly recommend! You don't want to miss it!

After searching TikTok for the best way to spend our one day in St. Thomas during our cruise, we came across Jammin Jeep Tours. My sister reached out to Lisa at JJ who was so helpful and communicative! We booked two 6 hour tours and hoped it lived up to the TikTok hype. Let me tell you, Jaro and Jonica, our guides, blew those hopes out of the water! Within 15 minutes, it felt like we were spending the day with friends. They educated us, entertained us, and showed us all around their beautiful island. Every stop we made was incredible and all it was self paced so we were able to spend as much or little time as we liked seeing the sights. Jaro and Jonica made all 8 of us want to travel back to St. Thomas to spend more time on the island! Our group of 8-including 3 teenagers and 1 preteen-have all said this tour has been the highlight of our cruise!

This was an easy breezy tour with our guide. We felt like family! It was so wonderful to get to see the island, learn some history, receive suggestions for our stay and sit on some lovely beaches. Each stop was timed at our own leisure, we never felt rushed and got to see a lot! Best thing was the tour was tailored to our wants.

Our tour guides were amazing! Jaro and Jonica were very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating during the entire tour. We could not have asked for a better tour and experience!

If there was the ability to give 10 stars, I would! From start to finish, G gives an amazing experience. He is so full of knowledge of not just what is on the island, but the history of the islands and even the abundant plant life. Get to booking if you want so much more than just your standard island tour!

Jaro was an excellent tour guide. The tour is well structured and highly recommended. The next time we are in St Thomas we will use them again.

A total of 11 in our group of family and friends and we had a blast hanging out with Janica, G and Jaro!! There were 3 of us in jeep with Janica and she is just adorable and very knowledgeable of her island; loved hearing all the history while she got us from one point to another. My husband and I have claimed her a daughter so now we have to go back to see her again and meet the grands…lol. The other 2 drivers for our group, G and Jaro were so much fun to hang out with too and made our entire group feel like part of their family. I cannot wait to go back and do another tour with them!!

Jonica was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the island. We saw so much of the island saw amazing views. Also got to hear about the culture and traditions through first hand experience.

What a day!! We just returned from an 8 day cruise and this was the highlight of the trip. We had a full day tour, with the Jammin Jeep Tour. We were able to see all the highlights of the island, so spectacular views, amazing banana daiquiris and enjoy some native fruit growing wild. The beach was amazing, the food was great. We enjoyed swimming in the remote bay, and even got to swim with turtles... Truly amazing. G was great... he truly took an interest in my family and treated us like we were his. Told amazing stories about growing up on the island too. The communication through the booking was excellent. From answer questions on the front end prior to booking, to keeping me informed who our guide would be and where we would be meeting. Heavy, Heavy

This was an amazing excursion! Jaro was a top notch tour guide with so much historical knowledge and fun tidbits about St. Thomas! We enjoyed every minute of our 6 hour adventure! He was kind, caring and full of ideas on where to take us around! He always made sure us gals were taken care of and very friendly with our husbands! We don’t want to end the day! We did the 6 hour tour and had an absolute blast! It was great to be able to see so many parts of the island and G’lique was full of information to share with us! She had great stories to tell and was able to answer all of the questions we asked. We saw some beautiful beaches and had plenty of time to swim, snorkel, and relax. Would highly recommend for a family!

The trip was fine but not as we expected. We thought it would be much better than what we got. It was a drive around the St Thomas Town and the Island tour was OK. We feel the cost is also much higher than what it should be.

This 6 hour tour was great. Our driver was very informative with the island and we were able to see parts of the island most do not see. Jeeps very new and very clean. Had a blast with the kids. Highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful day jammin with G. He knows everyone and everywhere on the island, and G and his friends make you feel like you are at home with him and his thousands of friends. He happily shares great knowledge of the island, the island people, the island nature and how they all work together. He truly is an island treasure. We hope to see him again on another adventure!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and our taxi driver as well as the resort we were staying at recommended this trip. We loved the full day jeep tour, it was definitely worth doing. We rode in the yellow “island time” bronco which was super nice. G is the best guide and showed us all of the cool spots on the island. Truly breathtaking and beautiful views. He knows everyone and everywhere to go, very nice guy as well. He even stopped along the way to show us the plants of the island which smelled amazing!! Very knowledgeable about the plants and the island as a whole. We learned a lot of the history of the island from the very beginning of it and G knows his stuff since he is from there. His passion for his home island is incredible. The best way to top the day off was to take a ferry over to water island and enjoy the beach. We even saw turtles while snorkeling here. Highly recommend doing this if you are in St. Thomas. Thanks G!!

My family which includes my wife and two kids (24 year old and 11 year old) visited St. Thomas for the third time in the last six years. We really enjoy the island and wanted to do something different from our other visits. So, we did the full day trip with G as a tour guide and let me say that six hours was not enough with G. G was so informative and knowledgeable in his tour. He also has a genuine character and warmth towards his island. We all agreed this was our best day of the week in St. Thomas! We saw things and learned things that we have not seen or learned in our previous time spent on the island including it’s botanicals, fruit, history, etc. We definitely have an enhanced appreciation of the island. So, we strongly encourage taking the six hour tour which includes a trip to Water Island and Honeymoon Beach. This was a perfect midday break for lunch and a swim in very clear and calm waters. Thank you G for a memorable day in St. Thomas.

My friend and her mother and my boyfriend did the full day tour on St Thomas and water Island with Jonica. It was a fun trip and Jonica was great! She was knowledgeable about the history of St Thomas and if we had questions that she couldn’t answer she checked in to it for us! This was by far one of the best experiences I have had while visiting St Thomas!

Jonica is the BEST tour guide!! Her laid back personality made us all feel like her family. She told us all about the history of the island and the old buildings and took us everywhere!! The sites were so beautiful and at each stop she would tell us about the history or significance of that area!! She was so nice and so fun!! If you visit St. Thomas it is a MUST that you take this tour and ask for G as your guide! He was so awesome! G was born and raised in the V.I. and you can tell he has great pride about his homeland. He is a wealth of historical and current knowledge about the islands. He was a joy to be around and is a genuinely nice person. (You can tell when someone is just doing a job versus someone who loves what they do! G is the latter.) The price was fair and the jeep was very comfortable and super clean!

Jonica was awesome. Went above and beyond for us. Made sure we saw every aspect of St. Thomas before we ended our vacation! Must rent a golf cart on water island!! She showed us even more local spots there, we would have never would have found without her! Highly recommend this tour!! I would recommend as this adventure when you get to the island!!

By far the best excursion we did while in the VI. Our guide was G and he and my son became instant besties. His knowledge of the Island and Botany was astounding to say the least. Highly recommend!!!

Our best day on St. Thomas! We enjoyed seeing the island and the beautiful beaches but loved G even more. He is knowledgeable, genuine, and a joy! We learned so much about the flora and fauna, the history, and the people. We would highly recommend Jammin' Jeeps!

Our cruise was only in port for about eight hours, so I jumped on booking the six-hour tour for my family as the best way to get a feel for St. Thomas. G picked us up right outside the port gate and immediately made us feel like we'd been lifelong friends. He showed us damage and recovery efforts for the two Cat Five hurricanes in 2017, told stories of the island from when he was younger, and even stopped at his house to show us the best view of the whole island! Along the way, he made various stops to discuss plant life and home remedies. I ended up with enough to make my own bush tea on the ship! Even though there were three cruise ships in port, he took us to Water Island to what might as well have been our own private beach, with a great restaurant for lunch. With Festival going on, Charlotte Amelie was crowded, but G ended our tour driving through the narrow, winding roads so we could see the history and architecture of the town, and made us wish we were staying longer to see the parades and check out the vendors. Definitely a highly recommended tour. We've already told everyone we know they need to book a trip to St Thomas and visit G! Heavy! Heavy! Heavy!

This was the most wonderful island tour that we have ever done! our guide G knew everything about the plants, history, and culture of the island. He is a true local and seemed to know a lot of the other locals. We loved the places where he took us to shop, too! Snorkeling with sea turtles was the highlight of the day for us!

It will be difficult to find a more genuine and kind human being than G! We had an absolute fantastic time on the full day tour! His island home is paradise and having him share his knowledge and pride of St Thomas is well worth what we paid. G is fun and you will NOT be disappointed! To quote G, St Thomas is "sweet heavy!"

What a fantastic way to see the island! Our weather didn't fully cooperate as they closed the beaches but we didn't even notice. China was a perfect tour guide, a treasure trove of information on local history and current events, flora and uses of native plants, government and infrastructure, stories, and more. Everyone in our group from 13 - 50 years old had a great time. The booking process and follow-up communications were timely and easy. Would highly recommend Jammin Jeep to anyone wanting to get a taste of what the island is really like away from the tourist areas.

Lisa and G are great people. Lisa was a great communicator and kept us informed the whole time. G came to pick us up and he was great. My son and I were only in St Thomas for a few days, and we didn't rent a car so we hadn't seen much of the island. G made sure that we saw the whole island, plus, he made sure that we had some beach time too. He is extremely outgoing and very knowledgeable. My son and I were happy with all of our experiences that we did and this was one of them. In fact, we will be reaching out to Lisa and G on our next trip to St Thomas. Everything about our jeep tour was excellent! We got to see not only the main sightseeing attractions, but all the other local attractions that you wouldn't normally see. G, our tour guide, has so much knowledge to share! Not only would we go and do this again, but I truly feel like we now have a local friend.
