Absolutely the best! Highly recommend! We took Pirate Penny out for the day with our extended family. Snacks, food, and music were great as we traveled to each stop. Tara is THE BEST captain. Our ride was smooth, and she docked our boat like a boss! Heather ROCKED IT as the 1st mate - we were lucky to have both ladies with us as Heather usually captains her own boat. Both were a wealth of information on the best shops, food, and drinks at each of our stops and gave us amazing insight into the who, what, and where of the islands. We spent the day with Kevin and Tyler taking care of our private charter. There were 12 of us and Kevin made sure we had whatever we needed and Tyler for us to some amazing snorkeling spots. We had a day in St. Thomas for a cruise stop. We booked this incredible catamaran day. We had an incredible welcome from John; Maeve was aboard to welcome us with drinks and a beautiful fruit plate. We set out for a beautiful afternoon of sight seeing, snorkeling and relaxing. John and Maeve ensured we had everything we needed - truly the best day with our family and friends. My daughter and I had a great time with Captain Brandon on our port day in St Thomas. We snorkeled at a few spots and got to see nurse sharks, sting ray, turtles, and an array of fish. Lunch at Pizza Pi and then a drop off at the docks next to our cruise ship. Highly recommend!!

Highlight of our Virgin Islands trip was our charter to the BVIs. Beautiful scenery, great beach stops and fun snorkeling. Our Captain/Crew of Richard and Stephanie were fun and helped make it a great day out on the islands.

Steph and Cornelius were top notch! They made the day absolutely perfect for our family.

We had an amazing day with David, John, Heather and Stephanie! The Stormy pirates staff were superb throughout the experience. We had a group of 15 and required two boats. The crew made the trip seamless and ensured we were all able to spend time together despite the separate boats. 8 in our party were children and the team were so accommodating to their needs. They even used a dinghy so the littles could get back and forth to the shore. The office staff were easy to book with, timely in communication and offered many recommendations tailored to our party. We will certainly use them again!

Captain Carly was amazing and took such great care of us throughout the entire trip. She was friendly, fun, and made sure everyone had a great time. Spent a great day (6/19) on Sail Pending with Cpt (John vs Sean, LOL) and 1st Mate Maeve. So very knowledgeable about the area and very accommodating- kept us fed and hydrated. Had a blast snorkeling & sailing. This was a celebratory day trip to wrap up our week with family, friends and gaining a daughter-in-law! Congrats Nick & Susan on your nuptials. We had an amazing full-day private catamaran charter with Captain Team Kenny and Susanna! Traveling with 3 teenagers and a 9-year-old isn't always easy, but they made it fun and stress-free for everyone. Susanna snorkeled right alongside us, pointing out sea turtles, stingrays, starfish, nurse sharks, and so many things we would have missed on our own. Captain Kenny kept checking in to make sure everyone was having a great time, and the kids loved getting to ride in the dinghy with him to pick up pizza for lunch. They were so knowledgeable about each and every island we passed, we all appreciated getting to hear the history too! Their kindness, energy, and attention to every detail made this one of the highlights of our trip. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Took a catamaran trip out with my family from St. John. John and Mave were great! We snorkeled, took the kids to the beach, ate pizza on the boat and had a relaxing sail. Perfect day for the family.

We had a lovely time and the snorkeling was amazing. We saw lots of marine life and enjoyed the different destinations that Captain John took us. Steph was very friendly and helpful. The service and beverage selection was great and the boat was very nice. We had 9 people ages 6 to 80 and everyone had a fantastic time. Thanks to John and Steph. We highly recommend.

We had the best day with Captain Maeve! She was a blast to hang out with and my family absolutely loved our trip. She was very helpful with equipment and assisted my daughters to ensure they had the best snorkeling experience. She shared so much information about the beaches and area, which I enjoyed learning. I can’t say enough great things about her! My youngest daughter was so intrigued and Maeve really took time to connect with her. I highly recommend this trip!

We had the best day with John and Steph on our private charter! Weather was perfect and John and Steph were so nice. We were 4 middle aged couples living our best life! Just book it!

We could not have had a better day! John and Steph were so attentive and easy to talk to, and they made sure we had everything we needed for the perfect day. The boat was clean and well-equipped, and they took us to some amazing spots to snorkel. The sunset cruise back to the dock was beautiful. Worth every penny! My group of 8 friends agree it’s a top pick of all the travel experiences we’ve had over the years. Go ahead and book it now!

Another Great Stormy Pirate excursion. Our Captain Carly and first mate Heather were super attentive, and took us to all of the destinations we wanted to see, and recommended great locations for us to snorkel. We loved the Heather special, and she never let us run dry. Can’t wait for our next trip

We love Captain Maeve! We loved not having to plan anything or pick where to go. We told Maeve that we just wanted good snorkeling and pizza pi, she planned the whole day and we got to just sit back and enjoy. It was a crummy weather day, but Maeve was educated about the weather and which locations would work best. She was able to keep us shielded from the waves and you didn't even notice the weather! Great captain and also knew all the history of the islands. 5 stars and would definitely do again.

Such a good trip. We spent the day snorkeling in the clearest water, stopping at beautiful little spots around the island, listening to good music, and honestly just having the best time. Tara and Brenden were amazing hosts so friendly and constantly making sure everyone was having fun. One of the best parts was when they took us to this really good pizza place where we ate on lily pads right on the water. It felt so laid back and fun in the best way. The snorkel spots were unreal, the vibes were perfect, and it ended up being one of those trips you already know you’ll want to do again before it’s even over. Definitely going back. 🌴

Kenny and Kevin were great! They went above and beyond for our family, taking extra care of our dad who’s older and needed some tlc. They were both super knowledgeable and friendly. We really loved our day out on the water, seeing turtles, swimming, relaxing on the catamaran and exploring the beautiful islands of St John and St Thomas.

Amazing day on a 40 foot catamaran. Captain Kenny and First Mate Suzanna were absolutely the best! They helped us choose from many of the spots we identified from our own research, and improved on our selections with less crowded / more romantic spots. They were kind, fun and helpful at every stage - ensuring our comfort, providing refreshments and taking photos. They also helped my guest (a non swimmer) with floatation for going ashore and snorkeling (over the side of a surfboard). Highly recommend this trip - there is no better way to see St Thomas and St John!

A fun day in the water with Captain Tara. She brought a lot of great energy and fun to the trip. Faced a bit of potential nuisance when national Park Ranger boat stopped to inspect boat and Captain Tara handled the situation perfectly. Overall a great day with a great Captain- strongly recommend you request her for a private charter.

Captain Dave, Robyn and Kevin were the best crew we could have ever had for our daughters 40th birthday celebration with family and friends. They were very attentive, fun and knowledgeable. They kept the party going!

Two families with kids ages 15–17 had an amazing experience with Tyler and second mate Robin. It was a beautiful day on a great catamaran, and the entire trip was incredibly enjoyable. Tyler chose fantastic locations for snorkeling, and Robin brought so much knowledge about the islands and surrounding area. She also made excellent drinks, which was a fun bonus! Everyone had a great time, and we all agreed—there’s no better experience than a private charter guided by a team that truly knows what they’re doing and where to go. Highly recommend!

Thank you, Captain Dave and Nick, for taking us on such a FUN day exploring around St. Thomas and the surrounding area. We loved that our family of 14 could all experience this private charter together. The sailing was so much fun taking in all the beautiful scenery and islands. Snorkeling and seeing turtles was just a thrill for all, and the grandsons thoroughly enjoyed backflips off the boat while we were docked! Lunch at Pizza Pi was truly a delicious and unique experience. And then being delivered back to the cruise pier was just the perfect end to a beautiful day. Our time flew by too fast - I hope we can come take in this experience again!

We had a fantastic time! We took a private boat ride to the baths and Norman island. It was exactly what my family of 6 wanted to do. Susanna and Kenny listened to what types of things we wanted to do and made suggestions. Susanna told great stories about the islands that my kids loved. We would definitely do it again and recommend it to our friends.

We booked three different private charters with stormy for the week that we were here. Captains were Tara, Tyler, and John. Our deck hands and captains were awesome every day, tons of help, very informational! We had a blast. The whole process was seamless. I can’t wait to do it again someday!

Stormy Pirates is always our favorite part of our trip, and definitely makes the trip. We have been with them 3 times, every time consistent awesomeness. I'm not a review guy, but they deserve it. The captains are very knowledgeable about the waters and very accommodating. #rumpunch Shout out to Tyler. You beast! They will make your trip whatever you want it to be. Be sure to get the right boat if you want BVI, but other than that everything is open. They'll know where the best water is for what you want to do. They aren't nerds either, which is nice. Safety is obviously #1, but music, snorkin, rum punch, shotgunning Carib off Epstein Island while flipping billionaires off, its all good. They also have awesome merch and maybe I'll mention the rum punch. I highly recommend. If you don't do it you'll regret it. Stay Awesome Stormy Pirates.

We had an incredible day with Stormy Pirates Private Charter, and our captain Maeve was absolutely the best. An Irish girl from Chicago — right up our alley! She was sweet, easygoing, and had a great sense of humor… even putting up with my husband after a couple drinks. What impressed me most was how she connected with everyone in our family. My daughter can be a little shy (and was pretty sunburned from the day before), but Maeve still managed to find something in common with her and make her feel comfortable. That meant a lot. We only had one place we knew we wanted to go — Pizza Pi for lunch — and Maeve immediately had the perfect plan: order first, like a reservation, then go enjoy the water while. The kids loved it. My son loves adventure and experiencing everything, so Maeve took us to some fantastic snorkeling spots with tons of fish and even sea turtles. My husband and I have been comparing every snorkel trip to one we took years ago in Barbados, and for the first time we finally found a rival. Maeve was knowledgeable about the island, adventurous, and just an all-around great captain. Aging myself a bit here, but… what a cool kid. We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend this charter to anyone visiting.

I was with 10 other friends and my girlfriend and her mother on the “sail pending two” with Captain Brandon first mate Maeve. I found the captain Brandon to be incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, also very willing to be flexible to meet the needs of the passengers of the ship. (for example, to allow some more of our elderly and disabled friends to enter and exit the boat happily borrowed a very sturdy ramp from a nearby sailboat onthe dock, would highly encourage you to buy these for all of your ships! Made us very comfortable and happy and not stressed boarding and your boat.) First meet, Maeve was the utmost professional, meeting our needs at every return, checking in, incredibly friendly and social, made terrific drinks and serve served foods appropriately, very knowledgeable about the islands and happy to share stories of the US Virgin Islands with us as we sailed Also shared with the first meet, Maeve that I was proposing to my girlfriend, and she happily volunteered to capture the moment on my phone and was very sweet and emotional, as was the rest of our friends and family! Very special day and appreciate all that your crew did to make us comfortable and happy

We thoroughly loved our day at sea… Captain Dave & first mate Kevin did an amazing job navigating us all around the islands, providing just the right amount of information, drinks and quiet snorkel time at the greatest spots! Would definately do this again and encourage all to spend the entire day with Stormy Pirates!

Capt David and 1st Mate Kevin made our day cruise/sail on their catamaran. We snorkelled in multiple coves, swam with turtles, saw many islands, stopped at a wonderful resort for a fabulous lunch. Kevin could not wait on us enough, with water, drinks and snacks. He was extremely courteous and safety conscious. Capt David was an excellent skipper and often asked us if we had preferences for our route. We were never hurried or rushed with any activity. Capt David modified our route all day to avoid the rain. We were all restful for a very pleasant mix of weather. We constantly barraged 1st Mate Kevin with question about the islands we saw and his knowledge of the USVI is vast. My wife rated the day an 11 in a scale of 10. We really hope we can sail with this same crew next year. What a fun day for our family of 7.

Captain Tyler and Stew Robin were wonderful. My significant other and I had a great six hour private charter with them. They were knowledgeable, and friendly. It felt as though we were boating with our friends all day. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great day with Cornelius and Maggie, wonderful Captain and First-mate! Our friends had just been to St. John’s and used Stormy Pirates for their sail day, and highly recommended them. They catered to our every need and made sure we had a relaxing all-day charter (cocktails, music and fresh fruit in the morning!) with great destinations in BVI. Picked us up in St John’s and headed to BVI with a double rainbow to start things off right! Hit JVD for lunch and cocktails, and Norman Island for great snorkeling at the aquarium. Without question we will not hesitate to book with Stormy Pirates again!

Five friends and I chartered a boat for the day from Stormy Pirates. We had a wonderful time exploring the islands, snorkeling off the boat, stopping for lunch, and enjoying the boat ride while sipping rum punch. Maeve was an excellent captain and very informative. She was eager to accommodate everyone and was fun and entertaining. I highly recommend this trip and Maeve as a captain.

The 5 of us did a 6 hour tour on a 27ft center console w Maeve as our skipper. As in the previous time, the trip was the highlight of our week. Maeve was Amaeving. She was very knowledgeable of the area and SO accommodating. We loved having her as our captain and highly recommend her and Stormy Charters. She waz fun to be with and was nice enough to laugh at our jokes.
