Cas Cay - Kayak Hike And Snorkel Adventure

Best trip ever! Great combo of kayak, hiking and snorkeling. The guides were super attentive and helpful. Shout out to Swish for providing interesting facts along the way, entertaining us with dad jokes, and taking great care of us throughout our excursion. This excursion was worth every penny!!

My husband and I did our first ecotour back in February of 2026 and loved it so much that when we came back to Saint Thomas with friends in October we wanted them to experience it too. Our guides name was Brett and he was amazing! We were able to hold a few different types of marine life on the kayak trip to Cas Cay, the water was gorgeous (of course) and Brett gave us so much history throughout the trip about the mangroves and all the marine life that live there. Hiked up to the blow hole, and saw the thousands of hermit crabs and Manchineel tree along the way. The snorkeling was beautiful and got to see some lionfish along with other tropical species. Brett was so friendly and genuinely loved the history of the island itself. I would suggest this tour to anyone, you really get to see so much and the guides are so knowledgeable. It's amazing.

The initial meet up on the pier wasn't where we were told and the shuttle out to the kayak place was kinda sketchy but our guides were amazing and very knowledgeable and made sure everyone had plenty of water throughout the adventure, they also went above and beyond to make sure everyone got to see the wildlife and sea creatures

We really enjoyed this guided tour! Alonso was a fantastic guide and showed us all kinds of fascinating creatures and let us hold many creatures such as urchins and sea stars. We also saw schools of fish, barracuda, sting rays, and more. 10/10 recommend and Alonso was great!

I did this Eco Tour on August 26th, and this was actually my second time doing the kayak, hike and snorkeling excursion. I enjoyed it the first time and was very happy to do it again. Swish and Omar were our guides and they were terrific. They were friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun and relaxed. They also provided water and little chocolates along the way, which was a nice touch. We had an absolutely beautiful day for it. Kayaking through the mangroves was probably one of my favorite parts. The “hike” is really more of a nature walk, but I loved it, especially seeing what felt like a million hermit crabs everywhere. The snorkeling was also much better for me this time around. The first time I did the excursion it was very overcast and cloudy, so we really weren’t able to see much. This time the conditions were great and we even saw a spotted eagle ray, which was definitely a highlight. My only disappointment was the photo package. I purchased the package and was told the photos would be emailed to me, but I have never received them. I’ve checked my inbox, spam folder and trash folder and unfortunately nothing has come through. I didn’t take any personal photos during the excursion because I was expecting to receive those, so that part is especially disappointing. That said, I would still absolutely recommend this excursion. It’s a great value, a really fun way to experience the islands from a different perspective, and I would definitely do it again.

D’Haden and Nathaniel were amazing guides. This is our 3rd time doing this excursion. Everytime is an amazing experience. Kayak is fun and informative. Jellyfish are adorable! Hike is a short walk to a cool blowhole and pretty views. Snorkel is shallow and warm. Fish are plenty. Always fun! FYI It is a fair bit of exercise.

I loved this tour so much! It was physically demanding of you with the kayak and swimming while snorkeling, but I powered through it! Our guide was wonderful, and knowledgeable of the island and the Mangroves.

Our tour guides Swish and Anderson were great. The kayaking was lots of fun through the mangrove lagoon and the whole family enjoyed. Hiking on Cas Cay included great information and lots of fun including crab races and water adventure. We rounded out the experience with some snorkeling before kayaking back to the docks. Overall an amazing experience for everyone from 8 to 70!

Wasn’t too expensive, and the tour was fun and immersive.Our tour guide, Swish, was fun, friendly, funny, and taught us some cool things. He also helped out by giving us suggestions for the rest of our trip. We went for about 3-4 hours and it was a great way to spend our time. Not once were we bored. It was great for our group of 7 including 3 kids and 4 adults and there isn’t a wait or crowd at the lobby.

Excellent guides, tour, and adventure! Loved learning about the island, the history, and sea life in the area. Everything was a 10/10 experience.

August 11, 2026 Excellent excursion and one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Johnathan, was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and did a great job throughout the tour. He also provided bottled water and candy, which was a nice touch. There were a bunch of unexpected elements that made the experience especially memorable, including visiting a hermit crab sanctuary, hermit crab races, learning about a highly poisonous tree, and getting to actually hold a starfish, jellyfish, and sea urchin. It was much more varied and interesting than we expected going in. Johnathan really added to the experience with how much he knew and how comfortable and engaging he was with everyone. Highly recommended.

Fabulous tour! Fun, knowledgeable guide - Brett was the best!! Only 2 of us in our group - tailored to us! Saw lots of beautifully colored fish, rays, conch, urchins - lots of history, beautiful natural area, so many things to love about this adventure!!

Our tour guide Brett was incredibly funny while also being very informative and safe. We would definitely give him a 11/10. You definitely get the bang for your buck here; it was such a fun experience with lots of wildlife and new information to learn. We were in a perfectly comfortable sized crowd of about 12 people, including my family of 6. They have lockers to hold your things and the service at the office is great. I'd definitely recommend long sleeve shirts and hats to combat the sun, and bring a lot of sunscreen, although they do sell lots of gear and protection there in case you forget. In total, this experience was great and my entire family would agree. Very fun!!!

Bring a waterproof camera... The guide takes pictures as well and you can purchase them after. Water shoes are sufficient. The wild life is incredible. Most we've seen after a week between the islands. Swish is an excellent guide!

We had a blast! Alonzo kept it entertaining and fun. Ask for him and you'll have a great time. From seeing the hermit crab island to snorkeling with the fish, sand dollars, and star fish, amazing experience. It's 15-20 mins from the cruise port and well worth it! Highly recommend.

Alonso was our main guide and he was FABULOUS! We booked on our own for a cruise and only had less than 7 hours in St Thomas so we were concerned on time. They assured us we would be back on time to taxi back to the boat and everything went smoothly. This was a great experience for my family that included 16 & 13 yr old sons. The hike was more of a nature walk so no need for tennis shoes or hiking boots. They showed us some neat areas. Would highly recommend.
