#1 St. Thomas Ghost Tour – Virgin Island's Original Haunted Tour

The tour was so much fun! Do this next Halloween if you love history and folklore. I learned lots of things about St Thomas.

This is an awesome experience that blends history and paranormal. I cannot say enough good things about our guide Ruvinia! Her passion and storytelling made me feel like I personally knew the people we learned about. We did this tour during “slow season” so it was just me and my mom. Ruvinia provided parasols and EMF readers which was a super fun touch. She made us feel like long time friends. I am excited to see her again in the future and learn more from her! This experience was worth every penny and more.

Rubenia was an entertaining, charismatic and knowledgeable tour guide. She knows Charlotte Amalie like the back of her hand and clearly knows her history. She was SO fun to chat with and it felt like hanging out with an old friend. She even handed us EMF readers to carry throughout the tour which I loved. She was recognized everywhere we went and the locals love her. I felt perfectly safe and like we were in great hands! At the end of the tour she made a couple of dinner recommendations for us which we so appreciated. We will absolutely be back and will book another tour with her!

My experience was extremely exciting I learned a lot about the heritage on the haunted tour here on the island of st Thomas, the energy I received from the locals was great i definitely had a blast an a time was had food, drinks excursions etc I definitely will be back to learn more

It’s so informative about the rich history of St. Thomas and all that has happened on the island.. Ms. Ruvinia is an amazing and captivating tour guide! You can tell she’s deeply rooted in her community and honestly knows her history! I typically do not leave reviews, but this experience was too much and too great to pass up. You will not be disappointed. You will learn so much of the island of St. Thomas in robust history that led them to where they are now, and not only that you will sense and feel the spirits of all that still inhibiting the island! She will also give you recommendations of great food and great places to shop.! This is an experience you should definitely not pass up!

We had a very informative tour with our incredible guide- Ruvinia! She was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. If you have time to spare, we would recommend this! We did a 10:30 am tour once off the cruise ship.

Ruvinia was an amazing ghost and history tour guide! We learned about the past of many areas and we even had EMF meters that we carried around and could see the ghostly activity. Would highly recommend this tour!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and really friendly. She made it a goal to know everyone on her tour. Great experience. Admission fee was acceptable. Length of the visit was a perfect amount of time. Atmosphere was creepy at times but fun.

Ruvinia was a captivating story teller and knowledgeable about her island. I loved learning from a true local. The scenery is gorgeous and we loved learning about the history.

A friend booked this experience for us and it was amazing! Ruvinia was a perfect tour guide- cannot say enough about how fun and engaging the entire walk was through town. The stories and history she shared were spooky and gave an insight into island life I did not find in any other experience during my vacation. Beyond hearing ghost stories, the experience was like walking through a community and its history with a fantastic guide. Everyone knew Ruvinia and she greeted them enthusiastically. It was like being introduced to a vibrant community- both through stories of its past and interacting with present members. So delightful! The walk is relatively short and not too strenuous. Perfect for a group with various ability levels. There is a break in the middle to buy some refreshments and use a restroom. While we were there a local artist was leading a painting date night activity which looked great too!

This was by far our favorite experience while visiting St. Thomas. Our tour guide was a true gem. Very knowledgeable about the island's history as well as the local lore of ghosts. We stopped for drinks midway through. Definitely recommend. Great value for your money.

I contacted the tour agent repeatedly and they had bad service until the tour was over. Then I had numerous messages. I was never told where to meet even though I was sent screenshots that supposedly explained. I would not recommend and there was hardly any information on ghosts. Which if you want to do a history tour maybe this is a 3.

Just wonderful! So much history and such a great time. Our guide was so knowledgeable, as a local she really gave one of a kind insights and stories. She is a part of the community and it shines through in her telling and love of the islands rich history. I hope to see her again one day in her own haunted house, turned tame by her own incredible spirit and energy ;) Highly recommend!

My husband and I were in St Thomas for our honeymoon and booked this tour. Our guide, Ruvinia, was knowledgeable and very friendly. She took us to several important historical spots in Charlotte Amalie and shared history you can only get from someone who has lived there and grown up with these stories. She brought them to life. It was a wonderful experience!

Ruby had a great presence and enthusiasm for the tales of St. Thomas. We brought a family with two kids under 13. They both loved it.

I've been on ghost tours before where it's just basic stories of deaths and hauntings, but this was also full of local lore and culture, which made it much more interesting. I love that the host also gave us suggestions for where to find great local food and get more of the local island experience. There was a mid-tour stop off for refreshments. We got a pretty heavy downpour of rain toward the end of the tour. The host knew rain was coming and brought extra umbrellas. If you want to hear more about the island from a local who actually knows and cares about the history, this is a great tour!

We throughly enjoyed our tour with Ruvinia! She was welcoming and enthusiastic as she told us stories of the city's history and the spirts that linger. This walking tour is packed with history, lore, beautiful sights, and friendly people. Ruvinia also made a lot of great recommendations for meals and shopping nearby, so do this at the beginning of your trip to get those recommendations early!

Our family absolutely loved this ghost tour—it was one of the highlights of our trip! The stories were fascinating and just the right mix of eerie and historical, making it engaging for everyone in our group. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of Charlotte Amalie to life with such passion and personality. They were also very friendly and made the whole experience feel personal and fun. Walking through the cobblestone streets at night added the perfect atmosphere, and we all left with chills (in the best way!). You can tell a lot of care goes into preserving the storytelling and history behind this tour. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting the Virgin Islands!

Rovinia (sorry if it is spelled incorrectly) was amazing! She brought the island to life with her enthusiasm and obvious love of her home and its history. She is 1000% the guide you want. So friendly and an incredible story teller. We were captivated by her. She seems to truly love looking into the history of St. Thomas and surrounding islands! We wish we did this earlier on our trip to be able to go into some of the buildings after learning about them (or maybe we shouldn’t go in). Thank you!!

We waited over 30 minutes and our tour guide. Never showed up, so we never got to experience this experience. When we attempted to call the number associated with this tour, it was not taking calls at this time and unavailable.

it was a great tour!! ruby was very engaging and a wonderful storyteller. all i will say is there is only walking included some steps. not a terrible amount but dont wear anything too fancy.

An interesting two hours. Turns out we were the only two people on today's tour and we still got a great and informative tour. Not too much walking and a stop in the middle for refreshements and bathroom.

She was AMAZING! She knew her history and lore! She made it fun and answered all questions! Will definitely do this again!

Tour guide was great at telling stories on the history of the island’s culture and folklore! She made the walking tour experience enjoyable and exciting with descriptive storytelling and knowledge of the local community members.

The tour was excellent. Our guide introduced herself at the beginning of the tour. I am sorry I forgot her name, likely because about halfway through the tour, at our "break in the action at a local shop", the worker there referred to her as Ruby. From then forward, I only knew her as Ruby! Ruby was incredible. She had energy, enthusiasm, and incredible storytelling skills. It was supposed to be a two hour tour but Ruby kept going. It went the better part of three hours, I think. Ruby took us to 5-7 (I didn't keep track) different stops and told long form stories at each stop, providing historical information about the building or the space and the role of ghostly spirits that some believe still exist today. If you want a little freakiness, check out my attached photos. I found the one that is just a bunch of squiggly lines in my Google Photos the morning after the tour. I have no idea where that came from. Ruby might tell you she knows!

While in Charlotte Amalie, Saint Thomas for the day we wanted to do something different so we picked The Haunted Historical Walking Ghost Tour and it did not disappoint! It's truly a unique experience. Ruvinia (Ruby) was our guide and she was so delightful, funny and knowledgeable about the local folklore. Her passion when she speaks of her native land shows in her storytelling, she made the stories come alive and was so entertaining. We were even given EMF detectors to see if any spirits were present. Ours spiked a few times and it seriously gave us goosebumps! We highly recommend this walking tour for an exciting and interesting day out!

We had a great time exploring the area and hearing the mysterious stories of the past and how some carry through to our present. Our guide was passionate and prepared, even having an extra umbrella when we encountered some showers.

We enjoyed the tour with Ruvinia as she was a delightful guide. She was funny, engaging, and very friendly. Her ghost and Jumbie stories were entertaining, and learning about the history of the area was an added benefit. Her local recommendations between stops were also welcome and helpful.

This tour is chock full of fascinating stories and visits multiple locations, from creepy old buildings to very nice boutique hotels. It seemed our wonderful tour guide, Ashlyn, was never short on tales of hauntings and the general fascinating history of the area. In fact, if history is one of your interests (as it is with me) all of the stories come with a great history background to them—the pirates, the notorious Fort Christian, tales of black magic, etc. If there’s anyone in your group that doesn’t believe in the paranormal, bring them along anyway because they’ll get some great history lessons. There was even a little break for cocktails (or a “mocktail” in my case). Highly recommended!

This was the highlight of our trip! Ruvinia was amazing. We booked during slow season here in STT so it ended up just being us which was totally fine. We learned a lot of amazing history. We did also go on a Monday so hotel 1829 was closed and they had a private party when we tried to go back later so we missed out on that but that’s okay. Every other stop was still worth the adventure.

We visited St. Thomas during the off-season, so it ended up being just myself, my husband, and our two friends on the tour—which made it feel even more special. Our guide, Ruvinia, was absolutely amazing. She captivated us with her retellings of local folklore, sharing stories about jumbies, a wayward voodoo priestess, and even personal experiences involving her grandmother. One of my favorite parts was when she gave us frequency detectors to gauge the jumbies in the area—it was so cool to see how they reacted to her stories! Her sweet and bubbly personality drew us in right away, and she kept us fully engaged the entire evening. We laughed, we listened intently, and we walked away with a deeper appreciation for the island’s history and culture. Thank you, Ruvinia, for such a memorable experience! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting St. Thomas.

Enjoyed the tour!!!!! Very informative information give by the young lady Ruby (think I butchered her name). She’s such a great host and let me tell you, this sister was strolling around in heels while giving a 2 hour tour LOL!
