I will say this place deserves more credit than it is getting. The rooms are fairly updated. If the Internet is correct, they reopened in 2018 after repairs from the 2017 hurricane season. The rooms have a very nice theme and are clean. There is even a concoction maker in the room, however, there are no supplies to make any drinks. Maybe a mini bar would be a nice option. If I had any criticisms, it would be that the showers needed to be re-grouted. As far as the service this was something to be desired. I will say that the lady at check-in was very helpful and friendly. Then they send you over to the Concierge who really strongly tries to push an “update“ for the timeshare owners. You have to walk a considerable distance from the parking lot to your unit. Most other resorts with a similar situation automatically provide you with a bell hop with a golf cart. You have to hunt one down here. The location could be better as there really is no beach. I mean it’s extremely small. The sargassum is really bad here (I don’t blame them for this), but every day there was 4-5 men out there trying to clean it up. The smell is very bad. The pools are rather large and clean. There are bars at both pools and serve food. Unfortunately, we did not discover the Hillside pool until the last day. This one had a swim up bar, infinity edge, and nice view. I think we liked this one better. The resort can’t do anything about its location, but they can step up the quality of customer service. We travel all over the Caribbean and will say I was disappointed regarding the service.

We recently stayed at Margaritaville Vacation Club in St. Thomas, and overall I would rate our experience a 6/10. The biggest highlight of our stay was the customer service. Everyone at the front desk was welcoming, helpful, and professional from check-in through checkout. The golf cart drivers were always friendly, and even the cab drivers we interacted with helped make our trip enjoyable. Unfortunately, the accommodations didn't meet our expectations. The rooms are very outdated and show a lot of wear and tear. Our refrigerator had visible rust, there was quite a bit of soap scum in the bathroom, our TV didn't work properly, and there were several other maintenance issues that made the room feel neglected. The food was also disappointing. Much of it tasted like pre-packaged food rather than freshly prepared meals. We also had an unpleasant dining experience with one of our servers, who approached our table without greeting us and simply said, "What do you want?" A little friendliness would have gone a long way. The staff's hospitality is what made this stay worthwhile, but the resort could really benefit from updating the rooms, improving maintenance, and enhancing the dining experience. With those improvements, this could be a much better destination.
We did not stay at the resort. We stayed at the Limetree resort the sister resort to the same company. We were doing a trial membership for the resort. When doing our reservation, Margaritaville was harder and more expensive to reserve. So we opted for Limetree. Good move….based on what we experienced. The poolside bar was great, good service, good food. We used our $100 complimentary voucher. No complaints there. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, I do believe in being honest for those who want to know what to expect. That being said… there is a season where Sargassam comes to the beach. (May-September approx). The smell is horrible. There is no way you can get into the water when it is present. (See photos). Buyer beware!!! The pool looks nice. If you are a club Wyndham owner and want a decent experience go to the Limetree. Margaritaville guests cannot go to limetree but Limetree guests can go to Mragraritaville….. See my review for Limetree. ❤️if this helped you!
I really enjoyed my overall stay, however the majority of the staff are simply not friendly at all. Johnny and a few others were fantastic. The view of the beach was beautiful. The sargassum didn’t bother me and they worked daily to keep it manageable. The rooms are clean, nice and quiet. Please address the resorts level of service. It’s a gem just needs the correct leadership onsite.
Scammers. Double charged me for our room. Would not refund us. Dirty, horrible and rundown hotel not once did we see anyone clean the property. A chunk of fake hair was by our room for three days now. Sick and starved cats on the property. Heartless people with no care for these defenseless animals Front desk are scammers will not refund us for them double charging us. The phone is out room looks like it’s from the 80’s, doesn’t work. Our room is up in the hills. Golf carts are never around to help us access our room or the hilltop pool. Ultimately fully regret spending my birthday weekend here. It was totally ruined by these scammers
