My fiance and I took the private 4 hour tour with Captain Ron and it was the best tour ever. We had a fantastic time. Ron gave us so much historical information and took us to the most beautiful spots, including the sugar plantation. We were able to swim, have a wonderful lunch and learn so much from Ron. Highly recommend, cannot wait to go back again!

We absolutely loved the tour, we were lucky enough to get Hibiscus as our guide. We had a family of 11 from all age ranges the youngest being 3 and everyone enjoyed. If you go to St John this is the best way to see the island in one day.

Our family of 12 booked with Star Tours a private 4 hour tour adding 2 extra hours on to the day. Evans was our tour guide and did an amazing job making sure we saw the sights and beaches we wanted to see and adding in the history and culture of the island. Highly recommend going with Star Tours.

Hibiscus was the best tour guide we could have asked for! We had a wonderful 4 hours traveling the island without having to navigate driving on the left side of the road. She was friendly, knowledgeable, kind, and willing to share her perspectives about island life. Our nephews, who have visited many times before raved and raved about how much they enjoyed the tour and information.

Evans was our tour guide and he did a marvelous job enlightening our group on the history of St John. Evans was courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and humorous. We fully enjoyed his presentation. I would rate him 10 out of 10.

Just awesome start to finish! We did the ferry from St Thomas to St John and got there almost an hour before our 10 am scheduled time. We tried to see about starting our tour early. The guy we met (can’t remember his name but he represented the company exceptionally well) was super helpful and called our tour guide and driver Hibiscus who showed up within 25 mins and we were on our way. I tried to tip him for his help and he wouldn’t accept it and said “nah, it’s all about providing good service.” WOW! Can’t say enough great things about Hibiscus. If I could give her 10 stars I would. My family loved her. Super knowledgeable and sweet. During the course of the day, we extended our scheduled four hour tour by two hours with zero regret. Would totally do it again. Jeff

This is the second time we booked a tour with Ron - and this time we even extended our tour for an extra 2 hours! Ron is a retired St. John firefighter - he knows everything, everyone, and every place. We took our kids, ages 7 and 11 AND our parents, ages 81 and 85. The tour is perfect for all ages. You won't regret booking a tour with Star Fish.

This is a great way to see the island with knowledgeable local guides. While cruising the Caribbean, we stopped in St. John for the day. The pick up is centrally located and just a short walk from where our tender left us. We enjoyed the tour and beauty of the island and liked that we got to spend some time swimming and relaxing on the beach while our guide waited for us. We liked the privacy of having the taxi to ourselves so that we determined how much time to spend at each spot. Parking at hot spots is at a premium, so I recommend this over a Jeep rental or other car.

The private four hour tour with Evans was a fantastic way to see the entire island with a couple of beach stops where we could grab a rum drink and jump in the beautiful carribean ocean! Evans was a wonderful ambassador and historian for his home island 🏝️

Service was unbelievable. I changed my tour time the night before, and star fish tours was very quick to respond and cater to my groups need. Our Tourguide was super friendly and knowledgeable, all the guys on my bachelor trip loved him. This tour was easy to find, easy to book, easy to have fun and relax while our Tourguide took care of us. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 🤩

My friend and I are visiting the USVI specifically so he could visit the National Park. The tour was fantastic. Ron arrived early and took us on our way. He was very informative not just about where we were going, what we were seeing, and giving history… he told us about island life from how hurricanes are handled, water & power infrastructure, to community events and more which we appreciated hearing about. Ron was a wealth of information, friendly, and happy to give us the flexibility of extended beach time if we chose or continue touring on. Learned a lot, enjoyed our time and definitely highly recommend!!

We did a private tour so the tour guide, Hibiscus, adjusted the schedule to meet our needs. She was very prompt and because she had grown up on the islands, she was the best tour guide I have experienced in many different city tours. If you can get her you will not be disappointed. They take you past many beautiful views and you get out at several sites.

Great tour. Our guide was Evans, and he is fantastic - knows just about everything about the island. My wife and I were most interested in the national parks, and we saw and learned a lot. Whether you are interested in history, culture, or snorkeling, this is the tour for you.

We were very interested in the history of St John, the national park and knowing about actual life on St John, seeing wildlife, when possible and not just going to the beach. When Hibiscus picked us up, we explained what we were interested in and she was able to make it happen! We learned about the history of the island, we learned about the flora and fauna, we got to see as many ruins as she could get us to, while still seeing the stunning views of the island. We also got a chance to grab a quick bite to eat, and tasted 3 different locations Ice Creams. We were fortunate enough to meet up with a few wild mules. She was excellent with my teenage children, who can be a bit fussy. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

We really enjoyed our tour. We arrived via a Royal Caribbean cruise in St Thomas and took a taxi then the ferry to St John’s. Our guide was waiting for us right outside the Cruz Bay ferry dock. We enjoyed seeing the National Park. Our tour guide gave us great background information on the area and the park. Made several stops in the park before we headed to the beaches. We choose Maho beach and Trunk Beach. At Maho we did some snorkeling and my kids did see some turtles. Then we went on to Trunk beach. We were unable to snorkel because of the water conditions but this is by far the most beautiful beach I have ever visited. If you have your own snorkel gear I would recommend bringing it. Mainly to save time so you don’t have to wait in line to get equipment. Really a great tour. We just wish we had more time.

We had such a great time on our tour! There were 4 of us and we got to customize our stops and see/learn about parts of the Island we never would have seen otherwise. Our guide was AMAZING! 4 hours is the perfect length of time to be out and about and get home in time to change and head out for dinner! Highly recommend this tour!

Evans gave us a terrific tour of St. John. He was very informative about the history of the island and fun to listen to. This is a must for all visitors who want to know about the various beaches to visit and other fun facts about St. John.

Enjoyed having someone drive us around St. John so we could just enjoy the views, but honestly didn’t find the tour worth the high cost. It was advertised we’d go to highest peak, Bordeaux, but driver just pointed out the road that takes you there and didn’t actually drive us up there for the view. If I had it to do again, I’d just rent a taxi to take us a few places.

We booked the bus for a private tour for our group of nine. We did several beaches and historical sites. Trunk Bay was our favorite stop. Our guide Evans was great! He explained the locations and gave us time to enjoy each stop. If you would like longer at each stop, I recommend the eight hour trip.

Excellent tour by Evans! He was so fun and gave a lot of good history and information about the island. The stops at Maho and Trunk Bay beaches were great. We snorkeled at Maho beach and saw sea turtles! We passed two donkeys walking in the roads too. Such a fun day!

Evans our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a list of places prepared and went over them with him and he gave us some more info to help us tailor to our five hour window(prepaid for an extra hour). The previous year we had rented a jeep but whomever drives the jeep misses out on a lot of scenery for having to pay attention to driving especially since it is the opposite of driving in the continental US.

Great knowledge from Hibiscus, and her granddaughter Lele. We had an awesome time learning the history of the island and beach hopping along the way. Drinks and food at every stop, great narration, and Lele was the star of the show for the 3 teenage girls with our group!

There's time for a quick stop to swim OR stop for lunch (The Windmill has good food, staff and a fantastic view from a high peak).

It’s expensive, but with a private tour, one can linger at the locations that interest you and skip the ones that don’t.

We booked a tour for my family of four the first day on island. Wonderful way to get history and familiarize yourself with the driving, review of beaches and wonderful island views on many stops. Many thanks to our informative and friendly guide Evan’s!

The Star Fish Tours private taxi on St. John was great. Our driver Hibiscus was amazing and she shared about the culture and history while driving us around. She also made some suggestions of places to add to our tour that were also very cool. We ended up doing a few hikes, visiting a few ruins, and spending a couple hours at the beach. Having the private taxi took a lot of the stress away from driving ourselves and allowed me to enjoy the sights instead of focusing on driving. We would 100% book this again when we come back to St. John.

Hibiscus was an amazing tour guide! She was able to gather information quickly about our interests and work them seamlessly into our tour. We learned so much about the gorgeous island and it was the perfect amount of time for us to allow snorkeling also.

We had a great time on the 4 hour tour of St. John! Our guide Hibiscus knew the history of the island and made the experience very enjoyable. We spent most of our time snorkeling at Maho bay and lounging at Trunk bay, but the tour is flexible to what you want to do. The beaches of St. John are incredible. Thank you!

I cannot recommend Star fish tours enough. Our guide Evans was absolutely amazing. Such a gentleman and friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us so much of the island. We had the best day!

Ron was an awesome guide! He really listened to how we wanted to spend our day upfront, and was flexible to make modifications as we went. We learned a lot about the history of and current life on St John. He made amazing recommendations for which beaches were best, which can be difficult to tell just from online research alone. He’s also a great driver which made our open-air driving experience more relaxing and breezy; I was so relieved that we didn’t try to rent a car and drive ourselves as the roads felt quite treacherous and parking was stressful. It is obvious why Ron is so proud to be from St John. We loved our time on this tour, and can’t wait to be back to USVI someday soon!

Hibiscus, our tour guide was exceptional. She informative and very pleasant. St John is so beautiful and the beaches outstanding! We had off and on showers. But we didn’t mind. It’s all part of the experience.

The four-hour customized tour that my husband and I took on February 3 was amaziing! Our guide, Hibiscus, was extremely personable, very knowledgeable, attentive to our needs--and fun! She grew up on the island and provided first hand knowledge of customs and traditions, native plants, and the back story of various places that we visited. She took us exactly where we wanted to go and within our time frame. We could not have seen as much of the island as with did without her! We were delighted to spend the day with her!

Ron was a fantastic tour guide. He was clear spoken and very patient with us. He told us all about the island and answered all our questions. Didn’t rush at any stops. Even provided drinks along the way

Conveniently arranged and informative. One drawback was we were told "this is your four hours, tell me how you want to spend it". Not knowing the island or doing any pre-research, limited our preferences to share and shape out tour. Guide did a nice job.

Too expensive for what you get. Don’t go private. Look for some sharing that is not too many people.

This is an excellent tour. If you are coming to STJ for a day, a week, or longer, this tour should go on your list of things to do. We got to see Maho, The Annaberg Ruins, Cinnamon, and Trunk. Even tho we got to a lot of places, I didn't feel rushed. You can even ask the driver to spend a little longer in certain spots. What I suggest is do this tour first, then when you find a beach or area of the island you like, you can go back with a cab later during your trip. The driver will also use a mic and point out different places around the island. Starfish has a cooler for you to put in sodas, waters, beers too. I am sure they have plenty of different drivers. The driver assigned to our family was Dean. Also can't say enough good things about Dean. I told him a little bit about what we wanted to see and he took it over from there. He even stopped off at a few places I didn't know about and we got to see some amazing views. Dean was friendly, helpful, informative, and took good care of us! We rented a VRBO in Cruz Bay and instead of taking us back to the bottom of the hill, he took us to our VRBO entrance which was very nice of him. He did a great job! If you book this trip, be sure to bring cash to tip your driver too. Dean was super!! Also need to shout out customer service. I dealt with Kharid (I think that was her name) on the phone and email a good bit when planning. At first she asked us to re-arrange a date because one of their trucks was down. We worked it out with no problem. Then we had to re-adjust again because of weather and I had to change days. Again, we worked it out no problem. Starfish customer service from the time I booked the trip until the time it was over was on point and so helpful. Can't thank them enough for their really great communication. In summary- whether you have been to STJ or not, I highly recommend you book the 4 hr tour.

Fantastic day with Evans on the island. He made our day perfect with his suggestions, history and friendliness. Would definitely do a day tour again if visiting St. John.
