1 Hour Jet Ski Tour In The Virgin Islands From Westin St. John

Absolutely wonderful experience with Cruz Bay water sports - St John. Booked 1 hour jet ski tour for 2 a few days in advance (did not include trip insurance) and then my wife got hurt and couldn’t participate. Operators gave me a credit for an additional solo trip so I went 2 days in a row. Great staff, great company, 2 great experiences and guide Josh was fantastic. I can’t recommend this company any higher and would absolutely book with them again. Great job by all involved and a big thank you to the entire team at Cruz Bay water sports - St John !!!!!

Absolutely wonderful time, the most fun we've had on Jet Skis. Our tour guide D'moi Martin was fantastic and really showed us the island in a way we had nver experienced!! We would highly recommend this tour!!

We rode jet skis for our 10-year anniversary and had such an incredible time. The ride over on the Fast Cat from St. Thomas was smooth and easy, and the whole experience was so well organized. Our guide Josh was amazing—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour so much fun while making everyone feel comfortable and safe - he knew where to play and where to chill. Exploring the coastline by jet ski was easily one of the best ways to see the islands and views you normally wouldn’t get to experience. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting St. Thomas or St. John. 10/10 experience!

We had an amazing morning on the Jet Skis here in St. John. Our guide was super knowledgeable, great on safety but also let the kids have fun. My husband went along grudgingly but came home fired up, raving about how fun it was.

Double check to make sure the end provider has jet skis and is ready for your trip. The end provider Cruz Bay Rentals was not doing any jet ski trips on the day or week of our reservation. What a complete break down in communication between Viator.com and the end provider. I’ll never use either going forward. We wasted all our time getting prepared and getting to the site only to be turned away. NOT a good experience and nothing provided to us for all our time. Viator or Cruz Bay Rentals should have recognized that and given us something for troubles. If we did not show up (like they did not show up, they would have kept our trip fee. Very, very disappointed.

The kids said the jet ski day was the highlight of the trip! They absolutely loved it and D'Moy was amazing and made it so much fun. I would high recommend this for any family or friend group!

My tour guide Joshua was great, very friendly & patient with me as this was my first time on a jet ski. The experience was amazing though. I definitely recommend if your looking for an adventure.

I have done many excursions with Cruz Bay Watersports over the years. Each has been excellent. Booking was super easy and a good price. Christian was fantastic at explaining all of the tours and picking out what we wanted to do. My husband had to leave St John unexpectedly and Christian was very helpful for getting things rearranged. Not to mention that he has checked on me each morning at the beach to make sure that everything is ok. Today was the one hour jet ski excursion with Jo’Coi. He was already prepped with my fear of going fast on the jet ski and any waves. He couldn’t have been more kind and patient with me. We went at my slow space and he helped me navigate the waves. We had a wonderful ride and saw some beautiful sites. We didn’t cover a lot of area since I made him drive extremely slow, but we had a great safe trip with wonderful conversation. I enjoyed it very much and felt more comfortable on the jet ski at the end of our trip. What incredible young men providing a great service to us at the Westin St John. Very thankful for them.

The attention to making sure we were happy when they had a technical issue was outstanding. The experience itself was awesome for first timers. Josh, our tour guide, gave us info about the islands as well as a great experience. All the staff was very friendly.

Our three kids went out with Josh and said it was one of the best excursions all week. He was so much fun and allowed them time to play around. If you are staying at Westin must do as it is so easy!

The guide was helpful and explained everything clearly. The waves were a little tough and it rained but the experience was more then worth it.

Amazing experience. From the beginning, the people in the office couldn't have been nicer. They took my valuables (phone, iPad, cc cards) and placed them in a safe. The instructor, DeMoyne, was awesome. By the end of the one hour excursion, I was flying, making S turns, making donuts, etc. DeMoyne was supercool and a great instructor. At the end of the lesson, I told him that if I were staying there, I would jetski every day. Absolutely do this!

Amazing experience. It’s not so much guided as they just take you around the island. Josh, our guide, was amazing!! Request him if possible. They even give you tons of “free time” to ride around going as fast as you want!

Had a blast going out on the jet ski with D’Moi leading. So much fun!! We have gone out with D’Moi before and he always makes it a great trip. This was my wife’s first time to take a jet ski on her own and she loved it. We never think twice about booking with Cruz Bay Watersports!

Cruz Bay Watersports made our visit to St. John unforgettable! We loved the convenience of having their storefront right at our resort, the Westin St. John Resort & Villas, making it so easy to book a tour. The guided jet ski tour we took was hands-down the most fun we had during our trip! We started the 1 hour tour from our resort in Great Cruz Bay to our 1st stop at Steven Cay before heading north to Two Brothers island for more fun jet skiiing near the island. On the way back, we stopped near deeper waters to zip around Moraviane Reef - safe for jet skiing and being away from boat traffic. A special shout-out to our guide, **Josh**, who took incredible care of us throughout the entire experience. I was a bit nervous at first, but Josh was so attentive and made me feel completely at ease. He kept a close eye on me while I followed behind and ensured that I was comfortable and safe the whole time. Josh also went above and beyond by taking plenty of videos and photos of us on the jet skis, which gave us the best memories to take home. If you're looking for a fun and safe adventure while in St. John, **Cruz Bay Watersports** is the way to go. We'll definitely be back!

Cruz Bay Watersports is the best. Kyra did a great job getting us ready for our Jet Ski and the manager as well getting us prepped for go time. Josh is a great tour guide he made sure we were all good to go and once we really got going he made sure he kept and eye on us and kept us safe out there as we rode. He is very knowledgeable of the Caribbean waters and the land as well. We even went a second. If you can squeeze this into your trip we highly encourage it. Three of us rented two JetSkis for this one hour tour in late November 2023. A father/daughter pair joined us for the tour, which was led by a guide on his Jet Ski as well. After checking in at the Cruz Bay Watersports office at the St John Westin, we went down to the beach to get our flotation devices and safety briefing (including instruction and practice on jet ski operation and hand signals). The tour starts from the beach at the St John Westin resort, and heads out from there. It is comprised of three rest stops, first at Steven Cay right off of the entrance to Cruz Bay, and then crosses Pillsbury sound to the lee of Mingo and Grass Cays, and from there back to Frank Bay, and then ending back at the Westin. The tour guide was very helpful, and stayed ahead of everyone, but zigzagged to keep an eye on all of us as we traversed the water. We followed the guide for the whole trip, and kept below 3kts and within harbor entrance buoys in the no wake zones of Great Cruz Bay, but otherwise, were free to go any speed we felt comfortable with. The guide watched over and paced all of us, signalling if we needed to slow down for a rest stop, etc... I think initially everyone was a bit timid as far as speed goes, but by the end of the hour, most everyone was zig-zagging at pretty high (fun!) speeds, or going flat-out at even higher (really fun!) speeds! The guide had really good advice and informative stories about the island/cay/beach at each of the rest stops, and stayed with us the entire trip. We sort of loosely followed him across the sound to all the stops- he did a great job shepherding us safely around the occasional boat or two that we approached. Some more related thoughts about this activity: 1) I honestly didn't realize there actually were Jet Ski opportunities on St John. This is awesome! 2) I also thought we might not even venture out of any of the west side St John bays, but wow we immediately went out into the sound, where there are small waves...real no kidding jet skiing! far more fun than I thought it was going to be! 3) the three of us in my group had all ridden jet skis before, but I suspect this activity would work for a beginner as well...they just might be less likely to go fast. Only three controls - on/off, speed, and steering. 4) this is a great, high action activity that only takes a little over an hour out of your day...a great opportunity if you are looking for something unusual to do on St John, or if you just need a few hours break from visiting beaches, bars and hiking trails!
