LD was our guide and she was not only a phenomenal speaker with her engaging tone and energy but was also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the island and its current and past history. We had such a wonderful time and I only wish I had done the tour sooner on my trip so I could go back to the places we learned about!! Would HIGHLY recommend this tour and if you can ask for LD you will have the best time!!

That it's a fun educational tour with a great guide. The food that we tasted at several local businesses we're delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour to somebody wants to taste some of St Croix cuisines. Morning and our tour guy JL, was awesome, she was upbeat and pleasant, I made the tour that much more enjoyable.
We had an absolutely amazing tour with LD and our family. She was energetic and soooo informative. We have property on the island and have read a lot of the history, but she shared so many additional pearls and had such compassion for and mood the culture and history of the island! All of the stops were delicious and truly gave you a true character of the island!! We would highly recommend this tour for everyone !!!!☀️💫🌴
I had an unforgettable experience on this St. Croix culinary tour. From the moment we met our guide, the day felt like an invitation into the island’s heart. We sampled traditional drinks, tasted fresh local bites, and learned how Crucian food reflects the island’s history and culture. Each stop offered something different, scenic views, lively neighborhoods, and stories that brought the island’s traditions to life. The tour ended with a delicious lunch featuring classic dishes made with local ingredients, served in a relaxed setting that felt genuinely welcoming. This is more than a food tour; it’s a flavorful journey through St. Croix’s identity.
Fantastic tour with Laurie!! She showed us hidden food gems we wouldn't have known were there, the food was delicious (7 stops!... maybe skip breakfast that day, LoL), and she was extremely knowledgeable about St Croix, it's history, and it's cultural traditions. Definitely recommend!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide LD was wonderful, informative and friendly she shared so much local knowledge about the people, and culture in addition to the food and drink that we got to sample. Learning about family and personal stories of the hosts adds so much to the tour. The local chocolatier, Blue Chocolates, the bakery family the Thomases, the cafes Singh's and Zeny's, and of course the local vodka painkillers on the boardwalk and local ice cream shop. Very enjoyable day in Christiansted!
Our tour leader, LD, was super. As a local, she knew everyone she came across as well as the local merchants we visited! We do similar tours for every new place we travel to and this tour was not dissapointing! Thanks LD!
Good number of stops. Our tour guide LD had tremendous positive energy and was knowledgeable of both cultural and food topics
This is a must if you are new to the Virgin Islands and Saint Croix. LD is a super awesome tour guide, fun and informative. Loved her!!
An amazing experience. The food and drinks were excellent and a great showcase of local Crucian food. Our guide was fantastic with just the right amount of local information and history of the islands. A great way to see downtown Christiansted,T understand the people and have great eats too.
We had an amazing time on the Virgin Islands Food Tour in St. Croix, thanks to our guide, Marra! She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience so fun. We got to visit authentic Crucian spots we never would have found on our own, and everything—from the delicious local food to the sweet treats and drinks—was fantastic. Marra shared so much great insight about the island, its culture, and the food along the way. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Marra as your guide!
This was an excellent way for us to begin our week in St. Croix. Our guide Dahveed was interesting and very knowledgable about the history of the area and places to see and go. He pointed out many things during our walk along the town and waterfront areas. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants and food and returned to one of them during our stay.
We learned so much about the history of St Croix, from our guide David, as we sampled food from around Christiansted. We love doing food tours because we always learn a lot about an area from the types of food the locals eat. This tour was no exception. We really enjoyed everything and would highly recommend the experience!
Daveed (I hope that's how it's spelled) was a wonderful tour guide. You could tell he is very passionate about the city and went above and beyond to show us the taste, sights, and sounds of the island.
Great food amd history story. David very knowledgeable of the history and culture which made the tour authentic
Great tour, combining local food tastings. Our tour was just of Christiansted, which is what I was looking for. We learned about great local food options and the history of the island. Our favorite was the bakery - we went back for more!
Our tour guide David was amazing. He threw in a lot of history which as a fellow history nerd I appreciated. The food was all really good. We went back to one of the restaurants the next day to eat. Unfortunately the only pics I took were of my cup and the iguana we saw. But… I would highly recommend this tour.
Don’t overeat going into it, the tasting was delicious, the whole experience was amazing, LD did an absolute amazing job!!
Guide was very knowledgeable. We stopped at a lot of places for samples with a good variety. It's was nice that we stopped a few places between food where our guide shared a lot of history of the restaurants, area and islands. The samples were good size and at the end I felt like we got just the right amount from all our stops. Highly recommend.
David was awesome! Great tour guide. However, food stops were places we would never go eat. But chocolate place was nice as was the drink place. Not worth the money. Sorry.
Davi was knowledgeable about the local history and food. We had a good time
Laurelle (LD) was our guide and she was great. She provided great information about the island as we walked to each location. At each restaurant she talked about the owners historical information about the building and explained their menu items. All of the food and cocktail was delicious!
This is a fun mix of the history of St. Croix along with the food of St. Croix. Q (Anquinette) was a fantastic guide for our tour. Highly recommend taking the tour.
Took our tour with Mara today. We tasted a great variety of local food during our time together. . We even went back to 2 of the places after the tour for more samples (Mutiny Vodka) and personal purchases (Gary’s Bakery). Mara kept things interesting with stops at historical places and her knowledge of St. Croix’s history. A fun addition to my birthday trip!
Our guide LD gave a great tour revealing much of the history of the island and sharing it’s food history as well. All of the food stops were delicious and there was more food than we could eat!
We choose food tours to experience local cuisine, discover spots tourists might overlook, and learn about the culture. This tour checked all of those boxes. It was great having David as a guide because he grew up on St. Croix and has a love and knowledge of the Island in addition to research he’s done overseas. Each stop was unique. We would revisit some of them.
This was an excellent experience. The range of foods was wide, encompassing many aspects of local cuisine and the ethnic contributors to it. Not surprising, no Danish offerings! There was an interesting review of historical events at each stop on the approximately 4-hour tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and no question went unanswered. Pricey but well worth it. Highly recommended.
Marra was super knowledgeable about the island’s history, its social customs, and Crucian cuisine. The tour was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about St. Croix and sample the wonderful restaurants which feed locals and tourists alike.
A great way to start a visit to St. Croix and get the lay of the land in Christiansted. Enthusiastic guide with obvious local connections. Arrive hungry, because even small portions add up!
Had a nice, easy walk and heard about the history of St. Croix. There were several stops at food shops to eat local specialties. We only had 6 people in our group, which was great.
LD did an amazing job with all of the food, history, and cultural information. We learned so much while getting to taste amazing island foods. The Stew Chicken and Pates were extraordinary.
Great tour, good food and a knowledgeable sharing of information by our tour guide, Davi. I think our favorite taste was at Singh fast food which gave us a taste of Trinidad. Thanks for sharing!!
Myra (I hope I spelled that correctly) was fanatastic! If you want to catch her she usually works on Saturday!
David was absolutely wonderful. He’s a history nerd like me so it was so fun to learn from him. All the food was fantastic and I was stuffed by the end! I really appreciated having some bites and then walking a bit. Really glad we did this at the beginning of our trip because it definitely changed how we look at the island, architecture, and the people. All hail the Queens!
This is a must do! Do not eat before the tour as you will need all the room possible for the delicious treats along the way! Our family of 4 really enjoyed it.
Maara was amazing and very well knowledgeable of the island! She took us to come really cool places!
Really enjoyed our tour and the food! We have been coming to St. Croix for 4 years and decided this visit to do the food tour - wish we had done it sooner. Highly recommend the tour!
This tour was great. My partner and I enjoyed every moment. The tour guide, David, was very informative. I loved learning about the history of St. Croix and seeing all of the sites. & of course the food was amazing!!
Marra was a super knowledgeable and awesome guide. I learned so much about the rich history of St. Croix and we saw a bunch of cool historical spots. We also ate some really great local dishes. All food stops were either locally owned, local flavors, or both. We started with a double at Singhs, had a coconut drop and cup of bush tea at the bakery across the street, had a plate of Puerto-Cruzan cuisine at Zeny’s, had a square of 70% dark Cruzan chocolate at Bleu Chocolat, had a Cruzan Confusion drink and beef or chicken pate at Rum Runner’s, got a Painkiller at Mutiny, and ended with a scoop of ice cream. I was STUFFED at the end. Definitely a great value for the amount of food and alcoholic drinks we had as well as the super rich history learned. I definitely recommend this!
The guide David is very knowledgeable. The historical info was good.. The tour itself is not worth the price. You can do just as good with chatGPT. The food is just ok except the chocolate was outstanding. If you come from a place with little to no diversity, you will think this is greater than sliced bread.
Wonderful tasting experience with an extremely knowledgeable guide! We love how the food tours we book with TripAdvisor also include so much information about the culture and history of the location. This one was no exception! A great variety of food and a really tasty cocktail as well. I highly recommend this excursion.
Davide was the absolute best tour guide and it's the best tour! We really appreciated his focus on our safety in walking the streets (due to some uneven pavements and traffic) and he is so knowledgeable about the history, culture, food, etc. about St. Croix. We enjoyed all aspects of the tour and would highly recommend!
Come hungry! We had a tour with Marra, who was very entertaining and informative. She grew up on the island and knew everybody we ran into at the local restaurants, shops and bars. The tour included plenty of walking to help burn off the food and several historical stops to learn about the island’s history and culture. The food was delicious, authentic and very filling. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to get to know more about the island and have a great dining experience. We’ve already gone back visited 4 of the local spots Marra introduced us to.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour! We learned about and tasted delicious foods - some that were new to us. Our tour guide was also well versed in the history of St. Croix which provided a rich synthesis of food, history, and culture. It was fun interacting with our other tour mates, and all the restauranteurs and vendors were delightful! It was a wonderful experience on our first trip to St. Croix!
This three hour tour was an immersive experience into island history and culture. Our guide Marra was truly a masterful storyteller. Can’t wait to come back to St.Croix!
This was an excellent way to spend part of my first day in St. Croix! Our tour guide, David Berg, was passionate about the diverse local foods and beverages, and St. Croix history. The food samplings were delicious! We went to food establishments that I would not have gone to on my own and I ate foods I would not have chosen myself. As a result, I am a new fan of roti! This was my first walking food tour ever and I'll definitely make it a must-do activity for future travel destinations.
Tour of different LOCAL F & B businesses and landmarks. Wear walking shoes and even though they tell you to refrain from shopping, who's really gonna know teehee Just stay with your group. I would give it a five if they included convo and tasting that included the local drinks, Hibiscus, sorrelle, ginger lime, soursop, etc. . . Shout out to Marra -Very enjoyable energy!!
The tour was a fantastic way to learn about St. Croix history and culture through our tastebuds and via the excellent guidance of David Berg. David was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader through the streets of Christiansted, sharing stories and information that even a long-time fan and part-time resident of St. Croix didn't know! I'd go again in a heartbeat!!
This was our 3rd trip to St. Croix found this tour and had a Fabulous time. Don't want to give away all the places that we went to but everyone one was Great. My new favorite food on the island has to be Doubles. We have decided that we will be trying food tours every where we go. Our guide "Q" was so knowledgeable, friendly and funny. She made learning fun.
Marra was a great guide. She taught us some history and we got to try so much food. I left the tour with more knowledge of the island and super full! Def do this tour!
