Live Music Sunset Sail

We had a wonderful time! I came with my wife on our honeymoon near the end of our trip. The pickup was easy at the pier and the instructions were clear. We loved sailing and learning a bit of the history and the boat sailed down to the Sandy Point corner of the island, which we enjoyed because it was closed during our trip. The music was a great vibe and Gyasi was a very skilled performer. We loved the experience! It was a relaxed, romantic evening for the two of us.

This has been become a bit of a tradition with every trip to St. Croix. We've done the sunset sail 4 or 5 times and each time it's been fantastic! The captain and crew are always welcoming. The sail takes you down the coast toward Sandy's Point at a very leisurely pace, then back. The musician was a jazz guitarist/singer with a cool and relaxed island vibe. The rum punch is unlimited and the breezes cool. Definitely recommended!

We did the sunset sail with Lyric Sails while visiting St. Croix, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew made everyone feel welcome. They were energetic, funny, and easy to talk to. It felt more like spending an evening with friends than being on a tour. The captain was smiling and vibing the entire time, and you could tell the crew genuinely loves what they do. The live music by Mekiel Rueben on the saxophone was phenomenal. Listening to him play while sailing into the sunset created one of those moments you’ll never forget. I also loved that the boat wasn’t overcrowded. The other guests were friendly and relaxed, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Along the way, we saw sea turtles, dolphins, and even countless nesting turtle tracks covering the untouched Sandy Point beach. Seeing such a pristine shoreline from the water was incredible. And the sunset… absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect ending to an amazing evening. If you’re visiting St. Croix, I can’t recommend Lyric Sails enough. It was worth every penny and easily one of the best experiences we’ve had on the island. We already can’t wait to come back for another sail!

Celebrating Beautiful island of St. Croix never ceases to amaze! The sound of the waves, the glisten of the sun shining on the ocean, and the moment the sun kisses the horizon! Only God!

Captain Mark and his crew were amazing! The music was perfect, ambient but not overpowering. We enjoyed casual conversations and possibly too much rum punch! Would absolutely recommend and do again!

Felt very safe with the crew! Amazing band that kept it very relaxing and fun at the same time! Bonus points cause I saw a large turtle AND dolphins!! Definitely a core memory for my family and I! This was my 2nd time on the sunset sail with you guys and couldn’t recommend you guys enough!! Thank you for the wonderful experience and I’m sure we’ll be back soon!

My girlfriend and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience on the Sunset Sail with Live music. The views were wonderful, the music was nostalgically fantastic, the crew very nice and accommodating, and the small number of passengers did not feel overwhelming or crowded at all. It was perfect! 10/10 would do again!

Lyrics sails offers regular trips on the Jolly mon. It’s a very comfortable boat with an excellent crew. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset sail up along the West coast of St Croix. Our crew, Alana,was informative and very attentive. This is a nice trip for anyone who enjoys a casual sale with beautiful views.

It was just a beautiful experience. We saw dolphins! It was cloudy so we didn’t get to watch the actual sunset but it was still worth the booking

Sunset tour with Steve Katz live, dolphins turtle nesting tracks…what else could you ask for?! Our staff was top notch! Accommodations were superb, service was amazing. The entire crew went above and beyond to make our time a special memory! Met wonderful people, the rum punch made our trip mellow as fu while the music was always in the background and added to our trip start to finish. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we will most definitely be back!!

It was absolutely wonderful. The crew was amazing and I loved the music. The other guest were so much fun to talk to and laugh with - and the direction conversations went was hilarious!!! I would definitely do it again!!!

These are so worth the money! I did one in Hawaii and it was great fun, meeting new people and sipping on some rum punch while you sail around in a catamaran, what more could one ask for!! Will definitely do it again next visit to STX!

We did the Tuesday evening sunset sail aboard the Jolly Mon with Lyric Sails and had a fantastic time! They have music and serve rum punch as part of the experience. The sail is from Frederiksted pier to Sandy Point and back, and we felt it was amazing experience. We were even lucky enough to see dolphins and turtles during the sail. Highly recommend Lyric!

My husband and I took the sunset cruise with Brett and Taylor. We had a great sail. Live music by Kim, rum punch and new friends. Very thorough crew, felt safe and they were very welcoming. We would definitely recommend. Beautiful boat and island. Thank you lyrics sails.

Brett was our captain and his crew were amazing . They made the experience so beautiful . Mercy child was the musician his talent is amazing. I highly recommend lyric sails from start to finish the experience was fabulous.. the sunset was beautiful and a bonus we saw dolphins 🐬

Had our trip cancelled an hour before departure. Found out later they had known about the engine problems for at least a day.

We did not get to go because they had engine trouble and did not let us know until an hour before we were supposed to to leave

We had a great time on the Sunset Sail tour. It was very relaxing and everyone was friendly. There were only about 10 people on the boat. The staff was knowledgeable and told us about the area. The sail was only about 2 hours which was perfect. The ocean and sunset was absolutely beautiful. This activity is a must.

TLDR; highly recommended We’ve taken the Lyric sunset sail a few times. The boat is well maintained and comfortable. The crew is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and fun. The music is always fantastic. And the view is stunning. It’s worth every penny, every time. But this time something extra happened. As we were getting off the boat at the end of the trip, I dropped my cane in the water. The captain offered to get it for me. I have another cane on the island and at first I figured it wasn’t worth it. But he said it wouldn’t be a problem so I asked him to get it and the rest of my group left to go to the restaurant. At first, the captain tried reaching for the cane with a pole, but the pole wasn’t quite long enough. So he said he would DIVE INTO THE WATER to get it! I didn’t want him to go to that much trouble, but I suddenly realized I had no way back to the car without my cane other than asking my friends to come back and get me. So I kind of needed the cane now. Now things get crazy and funny. The captain hadn’t brought his swim trunks. So he STRIPPED DOWN TO HIS SKIVVIES, found some fins, and dove in the water to get my cane. It was amazing and funny and kind. I can’t recommend this cruise and this crew enough. We are going on another sunset sail with them tomorrow. We’ll enjoy every second. And this time, I will be more careful with my cane. :)

Our favorite musician Mercy Child was not on the cruise as advertised (no explanation why) and instead a terrible saxophone player screeched out some songs. Not content to make us endure that from his seat at the stern, he kept coming out among the guests, literally blasting us in our faces. It was most annoying and detracted from what was supposed to be a serene, relaxing, sunset cruise. I will, in the future, try to remember to confirm before sailing that the entertainment will be as promised. Otherwise, it’s a waste of money.

This was our 4th or 5th sail on the Jolly Mon, a great experience as always. Captain Brett provided a smooth ride while Marjorie kept our cup filled with rum punch. Pete Leske’s soothing vocals were a pleasant addition. Thank you Lyric Sails!

Very nice evening. Nothing better than being on a boat on the ocean at dusk. Capt. and crew were excellent. Very chill vibe. Beautiful sunset and music by Gyasi Clarke was perfect! If you just want a few hours floating on the water watching the sun set, I highly recommend this tour.

as locals here on St Croix, this Sunset sale is one of our favorite things to do. The local talent for music is just fantastic and captain and crew guide you through the entire trip and are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this to anyone that’s visiting the islands itleaves out of the West End in Fredericksburg from the pier.

Great experience! The captain and crew were fantastic, organized, efficient and very attentive. The live musical entertainment was also Awesome. It was a beautiful and relaxing sunset sail. If you are looking for a slower pace to wrap up your day, this is it !

The sailing made the time on the water much more enjoyable. No motor noise made the live music great. The bottomless rum punch cup hit the spot. Glad we saved this trip till our last night on the island. Was the perfect end. Thanks for a great time.

This was a great cruise. The staff was friendly & engaging. They made sure that your cup stayed full of rum punch also. The onboard musician was great. He even personalized the experience for those celebrating anything ( I.e. birthdays, anniversaries,etc) The staff also pointed out the turtles that were near the boat. The topper of course was the beautiful sunset. This is a great way to spend an afternoon in St.Croix.

Lovely sunset sail from the Frederiksted pier to Sandy Point and back. Sadly we didn’t see any sea life but the sail, sunset, live music, and rum punch were wonderful. Definitely a must do and something to do over and over.

Truly, one of the most beautiful and relaxing excursions you can do on St. Croix. Perfect weather. We saw turtle tracks on the sand at Sandy Pt. No green flash... maybe next time.
