St Andrews: The Ultimate Bike And E Bike Tour - See Much More

Despite challenging weather, Stuart managed to make our bike tour both informative and enjoyable. It's a great way to get an introduction the city of St Andrews, its history and its attractions. I would definitely recommend any first time visitors to St Andrews to book this tour!

This bicycle tour was a highlight of our trip to Scotland. 10 of us wanted to go to St Andrews but didn’t t know what else to do while we were there (besides more pubs). We found Stuart’s Bicycle Tours and he made his tours sound like something we couldn’t miss. So glad we did it. He was flexible, accommodating and informational. We met him at an easy-to-find location, bikes were ready to go and everything was great. We biked to interesting/historical places we never would have been able to find without Stuart. We used pedal assist bikes that helped us with the hills and mileage. He shared a lot of information and was funny and patient. I highly recommend this tour. We all had a great day at St Andrews because of this tour. He gave us great recommendations for post ride stops too.

Stuart was so knowledgeable of St Andrews history. I got to see parts of St Andrews I wouldn't have otherwise seen. I hired a standard bike but I think next time I would go for the e-bike. Friendly & funny. I will definitely be booking another tour with Stuart.

Stuart's e-bike tour is perfect for all ability levels. He effectively communicates the route to the group & is always conscientious about safety. Stuart was knowledgeable about the history of Scotland and St. Andrew’s - including the religious issues, royalty, people and politics - as well as a safe tour guide. He also checked on us and gave us good directions. In addition, we enjoyed the route in and around the town. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Despite the cold and some rain, we had a fabulous time on this tour. Stuart was an amazing guide and the ride was lovely. I booked regular bikes, but we had a few steep hills- would definitely do electric in the future. This is a great way to spend part of your day in St Andrews.

Stuart is great! The tour is a mix of good exercise, lovely views and interesting trivia about St. Andrew’s.

My husband and I are seniors and rented E-bikes, a first time for me. Stuart’s instructions were clear and easy to understand. We engaged this feature on many hills and our favorite was a grassy hill at Hallow Hill Pictish Cemetery. Stuart is a terrific tour guide and always had our safety in mind as we ride on the opposite side in the States. His hand signals were spot on and appreciated! We saw so much we would not have seen without this tour. Plus at stops Stuart would share the historical significance of what we were viewing like St. Andrew’s Castle and Bogward Doocot! Bottom line this tour was a great time and we are glad we booked it!

If you like to ride bicycles and explore at all, you must do this tour! Stuart was an amazing guide - personable, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and ask questions. He took the time to reach out before the tour to check in, ask about appropriate bike size, etc. St. Andrews is such a quaint, historic, city and it was neat to ride bikes through all the major stops in it, and outside the city, to see more of it more quickly than just walking or driving. And it was something different to do! There were a couple spots, one major hill, that took effort to get up, but otherwise it was a leisurely ride through the city and some really pretty trails by a stream. If the hill would be too much and you're not looking for a workout, the e-bike would be a good option. Stuart also stored my rain jacket in one of his bags so I wouldn't have to hold it/deal with it (until it was needed, haha). I appreciated that offer.

Peter was a phenomenal guide and the ride was wonderful! We covered so much of this wonderful town that we couldn’t have by foot. What a wonderful country.

Stuart was great! Very knowledgeable and accommodating (even shared rain coats when we all got caught in the rain!) The tour was wonderful, even if you have walked the town of St Andrews the bike tour gave you so much more. The paths you take are beautiful. A lot is uphill so I would recommend the e-bike unless you fancy a workout. There are stops along the way if you need to fill your water or use the toilets. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely book with Stuart’s Bicycle Tours again!

Bike ride was amazing for experienced bike riders. I would not recommend this tour for inexperienced bike riders.
