While the staff were fine and polite, our stay was a complete disappointment. Upon check-in, our room was unhygienic and in a severe state of disrepair—featuring black mold in the bathroom, stained bedding, and visible water damage on the walls. We were moved to a second room after complaining, but it was just as substandard. On top of that, breakfast was £27 for two people and was completely cold and poor quality. Because the accommodation was unacceptable, we checked out a day early. Despite the poor conditions and early departure, the hotel refused to issue a refund for the night we didn't even stay. Definite lack of quality control—save your money and stay elsewhere.

Me and my partner where in today on a wowcher deal. We had a fantastic day 😀. Spa was lovely pool, steam, and sauna. Poolside staff so friendly and helpful. Lunch was amazing 👏. Restaurant staff amazing so helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit today 😀 thank you.
I recently spent a lovely time with my friend at The Landmark Hotel & Spa in Dundee .We booked this hotel very last‑minute after issues with our previous accommodation, and the reception staff were incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. What started as a nightmare quickly turned into a wonderful stay — a huge thank you to the team. The pool, sauna, and steam room were perfect for unwinding after long days exploring Scotland. It would be even better if the spa considered adding a jacuzzi in the future. On arrival our room was a good size clean, quiet and comfortable, giving us exactly the rest we needed. The hotel’s location is also excellent for getting around. Only one issue we noticed the room were not cleaned by staff during our stay and we had to ask for clean towels.
Good but used to be better. Beautiful building (the old part), clean fresh, modern, comfortable rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. But, there was one very frazzled barman in the bar trying to serve drinks and take food orders. So had to wait quite a while to order, and then had to go looking for him for a drink. Not his fault, he was on his own. Room only serviced every third day so I had to go down to reception late at night for milk for tea, again the desk guys were very helpful. No breakfast option on booking, so you have to buy it. I thought it was too expensive so i went to a well known chain 5 minutes away. I've stayed here before and it felt like they were trying to cut costs. It wouldn't put me off going back, it has good parking and a (fairly compact) pool, but i was a tad disappointed this time. It's well outside dundee so public transport/uber would be a must if you want to go out for a drink (bar closed at 2200) but it's easy to get to, being just off the ring road, and handy for shopping in the various retail parks dotted around the city.
AVOID! Mother in Law received an Afternoon Tea voucher (via itison I think?) for her Christmas from a friend. At the start of January, she booked us in for 1st Feb and our booking was confirmed. The hotel then called her to say that the kitchen would in fact not be open on our date, and asked if we could reschedule. During our visit on speaking with other guests we learned this was told to multiple people on different dates. Our rescheduled date was for mid April. We arrived on time, however there were no staff at reception and no staff in the restaurant area. When a man finally appeared to show us to our seats, we were shown to a dingy, artificially lit corridor with lurid fake flowers on each table. Since the conservatory was through a door only 2 feet from us, we had asked if it was possible to sit there instead as it was a gorgeous day - this was met with absolute confusion and rejected. The man serving us then put two glasses of prosecco down without a word, and I had to ask for an alternative as I was driving. His blunt response was "that's what's included in your deal and we don't have non-alcoholic prosecco"... I said obviously a soft drink would be fine, it would have been normal to ask before bringing glasses over. The location is NOT central and many other guests were also driving and had not been asked before alcoholic drinks brought to them. We then waited 45 minutes for our food to be brought out, and considering the place had only a handful of other guests, I can't imagine what the service is like when they are busy. The Afternoon Tea itself was very poor. The finger sandwiches were dry and some only half filled. Barely any of the food appeared to be made fresh in-house. The pies were clearly shop bought, and the cakes and sweets were straight out of a packet. The slice of lemon drizzle we had was completely stale. The scones we had were the only decent part of it. It was incredibly disappointing and a frustrating experience. It has so much potential to be a great venue but is let down by poor service, poor food and poor decor /atmosphere.
