We were at a family wedding in the hotel on Saturday. Full 5 star treatment from the staff. Waiters, Waitresses, bar staff and Morag. The canapés and the meal superb too. All in all fantastic hotel. Would recommend for any function. We didn’t stay over on this occasion but will be back that’s for sure. Thank you.
We had a wonderful and very memorable stay at Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa. We stayed in a king room with a fantastic view overlooking the golf course, which made the experience even more special. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly thoughtful, welcoming, and kind. During our two-night stay, we ate at the restaurant connected to the hotel both evenings. The food was amazing, although we did wish there had been a few more traditional Scottish dishes on the menu to make the dining experience feel even more connected to the area and the history of Carnoustie. That said, everything we had was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed both meals. One of our favorite parts of the hotel was getting to explore all of the memorabilia throughout the property, showcasing the Open Championships held at Carnoustie over the years. It really added to the atmosphere and gave the hotel such a wonderful sense of history. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would absolutely recommend Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa. The beautiful setting, wonderful staff, great food, and incredible golfing history made our visit truly unforgettable.
We had such a wonderful stay at Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa. We stayed in the Dalhousie Suite. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner, with great food and attentive service. We also really enjoyed the pool and sauna, which were perfect for relaxing after a day out. The golf setting and atmosphere made the stay feel especially memorable. The hotel was comfortable, the location was beautiful, and the staff truly made us feel at home. We would happily return and highly recommend Carnoustie for a relaxing Scottish getaway. I can't wait to come back!
The service in the bar area has now become so bad that there is no point in visiting. Our latest 3 experiences were 1) stopped by for a drink after having a meal at the rookery. Tried to order at the bar but when I asked to take a seat and someone would come and serve us. Waited 30 minutes. Nobody came. Walked out. 2) visited with friends for a coffee. The coffee took 40 minutes to arrive and required multiple visits to the bar to chase it up. 3) visited early afternoon for a snack. It took 50 minutes to order and receive two soups, despite there being a large number of staff on and very few customers. Just not worth the effort
Stayed at the hotel with my brothers and sisters for my twin brothers 60th birthday celebrations. What an amazing time we had! Staff were so nice and friendly and special shout-out to the duty manage Craig who made out stay really special. Loved that he had a sausage dog when we had Sid the Sausage dog as a birthday cake 😂😂 A big thank you to Gurpreet too who served us all day and night and had good banter. All staff at the hotel to be fair were great. Hotel is really lovely the restaurant and bar area and outdoor sitting area very good. There were 8 of us and the food was so good so compliments to the chef too. We will definitely be back!
