Damir was terrific, flexible and helpful. He proposed some good options and we had a wonderful 2 day trip with him. Safe driver too. Highly recommend.

Itinerary
Discover the Medieval town of Ston famous for the longest stone wall in Europe (5.5 km), salt cultivation farming and oyster growing farms
Also known as “the Pearl of the Adriatic”, is a city on the Croatian coast in the south of Croatia. It is one of the most known tourist destinations on the Adriatic coast!
Dubrovnik’s most famous feature is its City Walls considered to be the world’s most spectacular! The “city walls” encircle the entire Old Town. It is highly suggested to walk the city walls in the morning, due to heat and high concentration of tourists. No visit to Dubrovnik would be complete without a walk around the spectacular city walls. From the top, the view over the old town and the Adriatic sea is absolutely spectacular!

We traveled with Ivan for 2 days and the experience was excellent. He was very attentive at all times, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying the trip. Without a doubt, he is a great option if you are planning to travel around Croatia. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed a fourteen day tour starting in Rohinj to Dubrovnik with stops in Slovenia with a driver Pave and local tour guides with eight friends (four couples). Besides the hikes, amazing scenery, historical sites, caves, truffle hunting, and oyster farming we enjoyed great local guides providing us insights into their towns and cities. Pave also took us to local restaurants, olive gardens, and wineries. We can't say enough about how much Pave made our tour special by always communicating what was happening that day and the next, arriving on time, confirming the costs involved, assisting us in and out of the van and with our luggage. Thanks, Pave! We highly recommend Pave and Hjorve and the team at Croatia Private Tours. Mary Lou and Alan
We recently returned from a beautifully organized trip to Croatia, and we’re so grateful to Hrvoje and Damir for making it such a smooth and memorable experience. Everything was handled with care and attention to detail, from planning the itinerary to arranging transfers and unique local experiences. One of the highlights was a private boat tour to Hvar, which was truly unforgettable. Hrvoje and Damir were responsive, patient with our questions, and tailored the trip to our interests, making the journey stress-free. Highly recommend working with Hrvoje if you’re planning a trip to Croatia!
We were with Croatia Private Tours for six days. Our driver Miro became family by the end of the trip. We saw everything you could see in six days and experienced, hiking, fine dining, an oyster farm, wine tasting and lots of sightseeing. Croatia is a beautiful country and seen best with Croatia private tours.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, and entertaining. He took us to several locations for the most amazing pictures, which he was kind enough to also offer is some of the best pictures he took of us with our phones we could ask for. The old town was breath taking.
Our driver Andrea was excellent and was very informative. We would highly recommend the company and especially our driver.
I selected Croatia Private Tours based on my research on Trip Advisor, and I made the right choice! This local tour group hires only the best drivers (who are the go-to drivers for visiting VIPs) and knowledgeable guides in each town you want to visit. I hired Hrvoje Curkovic and his team to develop an exciting, yet relaxing, two-week vacation that included Split, Trogir, the islands of Brac and Hvar, Dubrovnik, and Montenegro. Hrvoje arranged my ferry transfers, pick-up from and drop-off at the airports, and an exciting customized itinerary. Hrvoje even tracked down and delivered my luggage to me in Split that was delayed several days on Lufthansa. I was completely thrilled with the attention to detail and reliable communication with me throughout my Croatia adventure. You get a lot of value for your money with Croatia Private Tours, as the cost is quite affordable, compared with other tour groups. I can’t wait for Hrvoje to develop another itinerary for me in northern Croatia and Slovenia next year! I will never travel with any other tour company in the Balkans and other Eastern Europe countries, after my successful trip with Croatia Private Tours.
WOW! What can I say. Hrvoje and his staff are special and they created a personal tour for my family and I. We decided that we didn't want one of their standard tours and he worked with me to put together a trip to remember. Dubrovnik-Split-Hvar (with private boat for the day)-Korcula-Dubrovnik (w/day trip to Montenegro). Our driver Damir was super, always on time and allowed us to detour when we had ideas. On the drive from Dubrovnik to Split we stopped at a winery, no questions asked he just took us there. He arrived every morning on time with heartfelt smile. The local guides were super knowledgeable and yes, local. On a least 2 seperate occassion we actual met the guides families while touring. Also I would recommend the additional excursion to the family winery as you return from Kraka Falls. What a meal that they served (cooked my grandma) during the wine tasting. Hrovje helped us select local hotels and local restaurants as did the local guides to. I can giving nothing but super praise to this company and their staff. 5++ stars. On a side note, the Crotians are very tall :).
Hevoje and his team made our travel within Croatia effortless and comfortable. Their professional, reasonably priced luxury travel services exceeded our expectations. Communication was easy and prompt, and they delivered on their promises, always on schedule. For transport, they use luxury Mercedes vehicles, and our driver Drazen was with us from airport pickup to drop-off. I plan to arrange all my future travel plans to the South Slavic regions with this company. Thank you, Hevoje, for providing honest and exceptional travel services to your clients!
The tour was well organized and on time and the best driver/guide was Mr Pave if you go to Croatia 🇭🇷 he was the only person that make the trip worthy he was very friendly, super hospitable, he truly made us feel home. The country is beautiful, amazing food and Pave’s recommendation was spot on. People in Croatia are not so friendly but Pave made it so comfortable to travel with. If you go there make sure you ask for him. Thanks Pave, you made our trip truly memorable 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed the trip organised by Henry our main contact in Croatia. Darzen our guide/driver/PA/bodyguard was every bit a professional and was with us thru the 8 days trip. He was flexible in our travel plans and recommended places and sites not to be missed.
We had the most amazing several days with Pave as our host and driver. We were truly sad to see it end. Next time it will be longer and we will certainly request Pave!!!
We took a 3 week tour that included the 2 week "Best of Croatia and Slovenia" tour and added on trips to Montenegro and Bosnia. (The drop down list above did not include what we actually arranged). Hvorje was very flexible in structuring the trip to our needs. Our drivers were great and we especially enjoyed Matko's sense of humor and his efforts to go above and beyond. The hotels they booked for us were fantastic. September is a great month to go. The weather was perfect and the water was warm. I highly recommend this tour company for a private tour.
We were picked up by Mio at our Airbnb. He introduced himself then helped us load our bags. The van was clean and comfortable. Right off we could tell he was going to be pleasant to deal with because of his warm and friendly demeanor. On our trip from Dubrovnik to Split we requested four stops on this trip: Ston, Kravica Falls, Medjugorje and Mostar. First of all, Mio was very flexible as to what order we wanted to see our stops. Then, when we stopped, he would clearly tell us where things were and head us in the right direction as well as helping us figure out how much time we needed and when and where to meet him when we were done. We stopped at a fabulous restaurant in Medjugorje and had lunch (Unfortunately I did not capture the name). It was one of the best meals we had on our trip so far. We arrived at our Airbnb, he helped us with our bags and we bid him adieu. The trip was very pleasant and we were glad we chose the trip from Dubrovnik to Split, with the stops. And above all, we considered ourselves lucky to have Mio as our guide! He gets top billing in our book! I will also mention that Daytrip was easy to work with. Arranging the stops took some figuring out and the Daytrip team was more than helpful. I would definitely use your company again.
A well planned and executed trip, with the most affable Driver/Guide, Mario. He was a pleasure to be with. One of best people I have ever met in the Travel Industry.
Our driver Dumer was friendly , reliable and prompt . He was happy to stop at various viewpoints along the way .
An incredible ancient city rich in history and culture. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. One of the most important aspects were the local guides like our driver, Hrvoje Mijic. He was excellent. He took us from Split to Dubrovnik (a 3 hour drive) and made the journey pleasant with casual conversation sharing local information and recommendations. He was very knowledgeable about the history presenting it in a concise, relatable way. We look forward to returning and reconnecting with him. Thanks for an amazing time Hrvoje!
We had been staying in Korcula and the driver met us at the ferry in Orebic. Our driver was informative and fun! We stopped at the Milo’s Winery, an oyster farm and the village of Ston along the way. An amazing and memorable day! Highly recommend!
Communication with Croatia Private Tours was excellent, Driver was knowledgeable and fun. Your guide in Dubrovnik gave us a personalized tour based on her own family’s experiences. Delicious lunch in Ston capped a great day. 5 stars for sure.
I would highly recommend Croatia private tours. I originally found this company after doing a Google search. The owner of the company, Hrvoje, was extremely responsive and helpful. As a matter of fact, he was able to help put together an amazing itinerary to see many of the great sites in the short time that we had in Croatia. From picking us up at the airport to dropping us off at the end of our stay, and everything in between Hrvoje and his team were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He was even able to recommend both hotels and apartments as well as several great restaurants. We were super impressed and would definitely send family and friends in their direction.
Excellent services. Always on time, booking the best hotels, experienced drivers and Tour Guides. Vibrant Team.
Excellent trip with Croatia Private Tours! Just completed a 9 night tour Split-Sarajevo-Dubrovnik with side trips to Hvar, Mostar and Montenegro. Hrovoje (owner) planned every detail of our trip, communicated with us daily and organized local sightseeing guides which made our trip memorable. Mario, our driver was very personable, knowledgeable, punctual and drove us safely around the Balkans. Highly recommend Croatia Private Tours, they far exceeded my expectations!! Thank you.
We had an excellent tour that started at Split and ended in Dubrovnik. We visited Plitvice National Park and Diocletian Palace in the Old Town while we stayed in Split. Then we took a boat to Hvar, stopping at the Blue Cave, Vis, and Pakleni islands to swim. At Hvar, we did an old town tour and hiked to Hvar Castle. Then, we took a catamaran to Korcula island and took a city tour. Finally, we drove to Dubrovnik stopping on the way at Ston town and having an oyster tour. At Dubrovnik, we had an excellent tour of the Old Town with Ivana. Everything went smoothly and well organized. Thank you Hrovje and team!
Excellent job! Henry was super-knowledgeable about Croatian history, brought us to a special mountaintop to taste wine and enjoy the panoramic views, and then took us to a local oyster farm where we toured their entire operation by boat and sampled fresh oysters & muscles. Our final stop was Ston Town to see the great wall and have lunch! This trip was a fun way to travel from Split to Dubrovnik, and Henry even gave us sightseeing tips for our stay in Dubrovnik. The entire experience was customized for us, and absolute GOLD.
We had Ivan as a driver and he was just the absolute best. We shared stories throughout the whole drive along with all the beautiful stops along the way. The company was very good with responses and I felt as a first time visitor to Croatia I was in very good hands. 100% would use them again.
We did 13 days tour of Croatia and slovania with private car and guide. Everything was great. Dubrovnik, korcula island, stone, split, Trigor, split ice no, Rovinj and Pula, Lake Bled, caves, Ljubljana sight seeing tour.
Great day out. Collected from our hotel for a private day trip in a smart, clean and comfortable vehicle. Driver Marin was informative and friendly. Pavo the tour guide was knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Lunch at Bota Sare was amazing. Memories to treasure. A huge Thankyou to all
For our recent vacation in Croatia, we decided to book 6-day private tour that also included transportation. After researching various tour companies, we decided to go with Croatia Private Tours, a small agency located in Split which had excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. I contacted the company and worked with Hrvoje Curkovic (founder and CEO at Croatia Private Tours) to put together a tour that covered the country's highlights for 9 adults. Hrvoje proposed an initial itinerary and after going back and forth a couple times with him, we finalized a list of activities that I was happy with. Day 1 of the tour started with a pick-up at Dubrovnik Airport. We were met just outside of the custom's area by our driver Dino who then drove us to our hotel in what looked to be e relatively new, air conditioned mini bus. Dino was our driver for the whole trip. Since there was quite a bit of travelling to be done (we started in Dubrovnik and ended up Zagreb) we spent lots of time with him. We really liked Dino! He was always punctual (wish I could say the same for us) and made our travel time enjoyable by conversing with us and indicating points of interest along the way. Thank you Dino! After the hotel check-in in Dubronik, we requested Dino to drop off at the Old Town. Once there, we headed straight for the city walls which, from what we had read, was the main attraction. Walking the walls turned out to be an incredible experience and definitely a must-do for anybody visiting Dubrovnik! Later that afternoon, we walked through the town and climbed up the St. Lawrence Fortress just outside the western wall (entrance to the fort was included as part of the city walls admission). We wrapped up the day with a 5 km sunset Kayaking excursion that departed from Pile Bay at 5pm in the afternoon. Our second day in Dubrovnik focused on exploring the Old Town with a local licensed guide, Ivana. Ivana was great! She was knowledgeable, articulate and friendly. She spent ~2 hour giving us a tour of the city. After Ivana's tour, Dino drove us to Cavtat where we spent an hour or so exploring the town. He then drove us back to Dubrovnik so we could catch the cable car up to Mount Srd. This is another must-do activity in Dubrovnik as the views from the top are phenomenal. Following our visit to Mount Srd, we descended back down to the old town where we had dinner and spent the early evening relaxing at the Buza 1 bar before finally returning back to our hotel by taxi. On the third day, we left Dubrovnik and traveled to Split. On our way, we stopped at Ston and Mostar. In Ston, we enjoyed eating the local oysters and tasting the local wines. In Mostar, we received a 1-hour guided tour of the old town followed by some free time to eat lunch and to explore the Old Bridge and surrounding area. We ate at a restaurant called "Savradhan" which featured Mediterranean cuisine as recommended by our local tour guide. The food was very good and the prices quite reasonable. We arrived in Split late that afternoon and Dino dropped us off at hour hotel. That night, we walked down to the Riva for dinner, drinks and ice cream. Our fourth day started with a tour of the 1700 year-old Diocletian palace in Split. Tina was our tour guide for the day. She was truly exceptional! She was personable, funny and very entertaining! Of course, she was well versed in the history of the palace which made for a very interesting tour. Following the palace tour in Split, Dino drove us (and Tina) to Trogir where she then gave us a tour of that city as well. Afterwards, we had free time to explore Trogir on our own. I took that opportunity to climb the bell tower of the Trogir Cathedral and was rewarded with some great views of the city. Our final stop before returning to our hotel in Split was the ruins of the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Salona. That evening, we once again walked down to the Riva to experience some more of the night life there. On the fifth day, we travelled from Split to Zagreb with a stop at Plitvice Lakes National Park. There, another local guide gave us a tour of the lower lakes area. While we were hoping to see the upper lakes as well, we didn't have enough time to do so. The lower lakes area is full of waterfalls and the scenery is absolutely beautiful with endless picture taking opportunities. We ended the day in Zagreb, the capitol of Croatia. Dino dropped us off at the hotel late in the afternoon and from there we walked to the Old Town to have dinner and to explore the area. As it happened, the summer festivals were ongoing and there were lots of street vendors and free entertainment that included folk dancing and various musical performers. I wish we could have spent more time there! The next morning, Dino pick us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the airport thus completing the tour. I can honestly say that we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Croatia! I have to commend Croatia Private Tours for the excellent job they did in coordinating all the activities and transportation, and for their selection of a competent and friendly driver and of knowledgeable and friendly tour guides. Thank you Croatia Private Tours for making this a truly memorable vacation!
Josip was great! He called the night before to arrange pickup outside Diocletian's Palace (where we were staying) and got us directly to Dubrovnik and Ston and points in between and a little off the beaten track, too! He was a great conversationists, and my wife and I appreciated his local knowledge. We wish him the best.
We just spent 3 hours with Matilda Besjedica, (matilda.besjedica@gmail.com) French speaking guide. She took the time to passionately explain to us the history of her city. We recommend it to you.
