Split And Trogir Private Tour Ideal For Cruise Ship Guests

We had a group of 10 tourists traveling on the Celebrity Infinity and we signed up for the "Split and Trogir Private Tour". We had Magdelena (Maggie) as our tour guide. The tour company communicated to us the night before who our guide was going to be and where to find her. Maggie is an INCREDIBLE tour guide, and we have a wonderful day with her on the tour. She met us at the cruise port early and had a nice private and comfortable tour bus to take us around. Maggie is very knowledgeable about the places we visited. She also offered to take us up to the fort on top of the mountain so we could get incredible views of the Split area. When in Trogir, she recommended we stop for a quick coffee break and to taste some of the local sweets (which also offered a bathroom stop!) at a small cafe, which was delicious. Maggie was very attentive to our group and took many group photos of us during the day. As a tour guide, Maggie exceeded our expectations. A couple of us needed to find a pharmacy to pick up a few things. When we arrived in Split, she took the couple of people who needed to go to the pharmacy and had the rest of us shop at the market for 20 minutes. One member of our group was suffering from a backache and was looking for some lidocaine (which is something easy to find in the pharmacy in the United States). However, this is not offered as an over-the-counter medication here in Croatia. Maggie actually contacted her own doctor to get a prescription, then had a friend pick up the medication and deliver it to us during the tour!!!! This was an exemplary example of how much customer service matters to Maggie to ensure that her guests have the best experience possible while visiting Split. We all truly appreciate what Maggie did for us today and we all had a fantastic day. If you have the chance to tour with Maggie, you will have an amazing day in these beautiful cities. If you have the chance to do this private tour of Split and Trogir, we highly recommend it.

Our guide, Andrej, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and nice and very conversational. The town of Trogir is beautiful.

We took this private tour with 8 ppl. The van was roomie definitely the best pick for a private tour and to not be cattle carted around. Ivan the tour guide was great and very knowledgeable about the city. A mix of walking and driving made the tour not so strenuous.

Josip was a great guide and showed us a great time in Split and Trogir. We had a fun day! Especially loved visitng Trogir on the water. So beautiful!

We spent the day with Ivan and he provided a great tour. He is personable, knowledgeable, and fun. It was nice to have a private tour as we spent as much time as we wanted at each stop. It was also nice to see Trogir and not just Split, as we actually liked Trogir better. Ivan brought us to different spots for photo ops and told us a lot about the country and what it was like growing up in Croatia. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Sanja was our guide and she was excellent. We ended up being the only 2 people on the tour and therefore Sanja was very flexible with the pick up time, which was right at the port. Sanja drove her very clean and comfortable personal car. She is a very good driver. Sanja is very knowledgeable and has a very fun personality. She was awesome at avoiding crowds and finding shade for us to stand in while she was giving us the history of the building, area or item. We highly recommend Sanja!

Great 1/2 Day trip in Split and Trogir. Our guide, Ivan was fantastic and shared so much with us. He was a great storyteller and a great sense of humor.

Mario was very knowledgeable & gave us insight into the area, especially enjoyed our walk through Diocletian's Palace in Old Town Split.

This was a wonderful private tour! Our guide was Andrej, and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and time with him. We highly recommend! Andrej met us at the port and drove us to Trogir. It is a lovely town. Andrej shared the history and stories of the town, showed us around and then gave us free time to explore. We then drove to another small town for a quick look (I can not remember the name) but it was also lovely. Then on to Split. He gave us a wonderful and informative walking tour of the city. It is a vibrant city with much to see and do. Andrej has lived in the area all his life and knows the history very well. He shared many personal anecdotes and historical highlights dating back centuries. We hope to come again and visit and enjoy even more of the city!

Petar our guide was promptly waiting for us at the cruise port gate. Besides the planned old old town and the palace, we managed to fit in the waterfall trip option. This was smartest thing to do for a 93 degree hot summer day. Petar's English was superb. We would recommend him to everyone and would use him again if we come back this area.

We had a great experience seeing both Trogir and Split on this day tour. The excellent guiding and pacing really made this day a great opportunity to see both cities in one day. Highly recommend!

Our tour today in Split was absolutely wonderful, thanks to our amazing guide, Gabrijela. From the moment we met her, she recognized my mother’s mobility challenges and made sure we got the most out of every part of the tour. She truly went above and beyond, showing incredible patience, kindness, and extensive knowledge at every stop. She made everyone feel comfortable and ensured we never felt rushed or left out. We never realized just how beautiful Split, Croatia is, and thanks to Gabrijela, we fell in love with it. Her passion for her country was contagious, and she made us want to come back and explore even more. We can’t thank her enough for making this such a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful half day with Andrej. We learned about the history of the cities and got a great overview of the area. We also had time to relax with a nice lunch in Trogir. Recommended tour!

The tour was excellent. We had a party of 10 of all ages and Rozana was our guide. Trogir and Split are beautiful. Rozana tailored the tour to our group’s needs and was excellent with the kids. I can’t say enough good things. Don’t think twice. Our driver Boris was also great and the van was comfortable with AC.

Had such a great experience with Natasha! She was very knowledgeable and very accommodating for my mother’s mobility issues. She took us to Trogir first in order to beat the traffic and get us back to Split in time to see the palace without stressing about missing our ship. If you are lucky to have Ivan as your tour guide, you definitely won’t be disappointed, he’s very knowledgeable of the area and just easy to talk too. Be ready to walk, make sure you are hydrated and enjoy the trip, take some advice from Ivan too of places to go and it will be a great one.

Rozana and our Driver were simply top notch. She was an AMAZING guide with such knowledge and went at our own pace. Our driver was great as well, and we were in a super comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van that accommodated all 9 people

This was an amazing tour that was great for everyone in our group. (Ages 50 to 85) But where this company really shines is its customer service! A member of the traveling party forgot his phone in the vehicle, and we thought it was lost forever. The tour provider quickly responded to our messages and delivered the phone back to the ship before we set sail. Definitely above and beyond, and saved what could've been a big set back for the trip!

This was a shore excursion for us and we were totally blown away by Marin. He was personable, spoke English very well, knew the history of Split and Croatia in general. Marin was able to answer so many questions for us and wasn’t shy to share his opinions on some historical facts too. We explored a hidden gem and feel like we made a friend in Marin. He gave us more than tour. He gave us an experience we won’t forget and showcased Split in a fashion that makes us want to return for a longer stay and explore Croatia more. Thank you Marin!

Even though the tour started. 1 hour later due to miscommunication of Viator with the local agency, it ended being a great tour. Peter was knowledgeable, genuinely interested in us and the information he provided was interesting to listen to.

This was an excellent tour! He did such a great job showing us around, telling us the history and giving us as much free time as we’d like. He was flexible when the kiddos needed to eat lunch and never made us feel rushed! Would recommend! We were on a cruise so timing was important and we never worried about missing this all aboard time

This private tour was fantastic. Our driver/guide, Andrej, was very personable and knowledgeable, knew a lot about the area and also asked us questions so we had actual conversation. He was also very accommodating for my grandmother who walks with a cane and made sure to take the routes that would be easiest for her.

We had an unforgettable day exploring Split and Trogir with our private guide. His deep knowledge of the area’s history made every stop meaningful. Trogir, the UNESCO‑protected “Little Venice,” was absolutely magical, and the guide’s storytelling made it even more special. The tour of the Peristyle at Diocletian’s Palace was another standout — such an incredible piece of Roman history. The whole experience was rich, beautiful, and seamless from start to finish. Don’t go if it’s a Sunday because everything was closed. Lunch Brie very pretty but the food was lousy and they never offered soft frinks or coffee. The guide was knowledgeable

Great experience from beginning to end - original booking, to a time change we made, to fantastic tour with Petar as our guide! Petar is easy-going but professional and very knowledgeable about Croatia and neighboring areas. He kept the tour interesting and fun! His food recommendations were spot on also.
