Carmen was lovely and friendly . She was very knowledgeable with a good sense of humour . Her recommendation for places to eat and the local food to try was excellent. We went to eat straight after and it was delicious. Good walk , great picture opportunities. Excellent tour . Thank you Carmen !

Slavco was spectacular. One of the best guides we have had on our trip! He was funny and so very knowledgeable. He made our tour so interesting!
We did this walking tour last minute after our boat tour couldn't sail due to weather, but in retrospect it should've been at the top of our list- we were just delighted with the whole experience. The tour guide was knowledgable, humorous, and really welcoming. Had we just wandered the palace on our own, I think we would've missed SO much about the fascinating history of this site. They have a sphynx??
This was the best tour we have ever done. Ana’s knowledge of history, art, politics and most importantly wine and food were outstanding. The tour was 4 of us, so perfect for interacting and sharing of information. All the wine and food selections were so delicious that even my husband who is not a wine drinker enjoyed it all. The sights she explained and chose to spend time on were perfectly put together. I got a high five after we ended for booking this- which has never happened before. We were on a cruise and had plenty of time before the tour to walk the entire wall and wander a bit so it was a perfect pairing to free time in Old Town.
Good tour but description has conflicting info. One area says it is 150 minutes and another says 1 h 30 minutes. Tour was actually 1 h 20 minutes.
A great way to learn about the city. Our guide, Slavko was extremely knowledgeable of not just the palace but the entire city and country. Great tour.
We had a wonderful time on the City of Split Walking Tour, thanks to our guide, Mia. She led us through Diocletian's Palace and made 1,700 years of history easy to follow and interesting. She also took us to hidden corners of the palace that we would never have found on our own. On top of that, she gave us great dining recommendations, and they paid off for the rest of our trip. Mia was knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loves her city. If you're visiting Split, take this tour early in your stay. Highly recommend!
A must do tour to learn about the origin of the city, the history of the palace and the nooks and alleys of this gorgeous city. Great recommendations for shopping and eating out. Really a lovely half day!
Tour guide was friendly, knowledgable, and helped tourists understand Roman and Croatian history.i recommend her as a tour guide.
What a fantastic tour. The guide was so knowledgable and took her time to cover the important places with fantastic knowledge.
Slavko was an excellent guide. We learned about Diocletian, the palace history and structures, and the Dalmatian people. Funny, authentic, entertaining. I even considered booking another tour with him. It was well worth the money!
Very knowledgeable guide, used humor and theatrics to convey information. Would hifjky recommend this tour to anyone who has a limited amount of time.
This was an excellent walking tour. Our guide was engaging and very knowledgeable and we all found the tour very interesting. The Diocletian Palace is fabulous, particularly the mausoleum and cellars. We were expecting to see more of Split, given the title of the walk, and this would have added a positive aspect to the tour. That said, we all enjoyed it.
They cancelled our tour just a few hours before it started and tried to get us to take a later 3:30 tour. If I hadn’t checked my messages on trip Advisor I would have missed the notice and shown up for a non existent tour. Luckily I was able to book with another company at the last minute (see review) and had a great experience
This was very informative, intriguing, and entertaining. Our guide, was very fun but very knowledgable. He even answered a call from his mother! This was exactly the kind of thing we came to Split to experience. .
Very informative tour by Ante, not too fast and spoke excellent English. Recommended for an inteoduction to the city and areas history.
We had a great tour guide who made it all interesting and who gave a great overview of Split - must easier to notice the details now. Well worth the time!!
Our guide, Stella, was excellent. Her knowledge of the palace was very good. The tour was a good length and covered a lot of history in this beautiful location. Highly recommend
Our guide Paula was very knowledgeable and well versed in Split history. She made the tour very interesting. As our group was fairly large and there were many other tour groups around, at times it became difficult to hear Paula. Other groups had assisted hearing devices which perhaps would allow everyone to hear better. Still, the tour was very informative!
Very knowledgeable and personable guide. I recommend this tour. Takes you through the palace and points out the major highlights. Perfect time amount
Great tour by a great guide We had a great time.
Ante was a knowledgeable and engaging guide with a deep understanding of the Diocletian palace and its architecture, regional politics, geography, and cultural influences. He answered all questions thoroughly and was passionate and honest about the palace and its history. Outstanding tour.
Our guide was great! Very knowledgeable and helpful! I'd highly recommend the tour, it wasn't too long and it was very interesting!
Ante ( Anthony ) is a 24 year old student with a history degree . Therefore his knowledge and communication was exceptional . Thoroughly engaging throughout and made sure to provide detail but taking care to deliver messages whilst we found shade .
Great walking tour. Informative and well paced and very interesting. Our tour guide was wonderful and engaging.
We had a wonderful tour guide named Karla. Her wealth of knowledge of The Diocletian Palace was incredible. It was a very hot day and she made sure we stayed out of the sun as much as possible. She was very pleasant.
This tour gives you a very good overview of old town Split and really helps you get oriented when first arriving. It doesn’t replace getting entry tickets for the cathedral and tower, etc. However, our tour guide Paula was very knowledgeable and as it is a relatively short and not terribly expensive tour we found it completely worthwhile.
Paula was fantastic - she coped with a large group and all the crowds really well. She gave us historical background, current culture and fun facts. A thoroughly enjoyable 2 hours.
Overall the experience was good. The guide was obviously new and we could barely hear her. She needs to project her voice or the company needs to give her & the clients earphones to hear as many other groups we saw did.
Excellent tour guide Ante!! He was extremely knowledgeable and so informative on the history of Croatia, Split and the Palace. He answered questions with great knowledge!
Slavko was a great guide, very knowledgeable. Meet up was simple and very straight forward 10/10 recommend
Slavko was an amazing and very informative guide. We laughed and learned a lot. Such an amazing experience!
Very informative and funny young lady took us around Split it was great fun she made us laugh and explained everything very well, she also quizzed us 😆
Amazing guide, so informed, extremely personable. Our experience exceeded all expectations. Ante was able to offer a detailed overview of everything we saw, provide historical background and thoroughly talk us through any questions we had.
Great tour, very informative. Guide was excellent. Knowledgeable and courteous.
We learned a lot of history from year’s past up to today. Stela our guide was pleasant and also humorous.
This was a fantastic tour, one of my all time favorites! The falls are beautiful, Trogir is a gem of a place, the bus is super comfortable and our guide Mate was absolutely wonderful. Don’t hesitate to book this, you won’t regret it!
Great tour guide! We started and finished on time, he kept it entertaining, informative and well-paced. About 12-15 people. We learned more than we expected and enjoyed it.
Very good tour around the Palace. Recommend
Carla was a awesome guide. She provided a wealth of information about the history and Old Town of Croatia.
Mia is amazing: she balanced perfectly information with humor and care for our group. She also prepared a very nice list with recommendations: from food to shopping to sight seing.. you name it. We loved it and totally recommend the experience.
Good knowledgeable guide and funny stories
An excellent orientation to The old city. The price is excellent and the length of 1.5 hours is perfect. The group Size is excellent. The guide was friendly and witty.
Ante is very good guide, he has a lot to tell and tips.
I found the tour really informative but also intriguing. I really liked that it wasn't rushed and that we had time to take pictures. The atmosphere was also really chill. And it wasn't so crowded. But I find for the price you pay it's really worth it.
Wonderful informative and fun! Our guide Czechko was amazing. Animated and full of information on the history that he really brought to life.
The old town of split is beautiful and it is great to know more about the history and development. We had a great, enthusiastic guide, this makes a difference. His English was very good.
Ante our tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and was very accommodating in the August heat and to our little kids. It was a great way to spend the afternoon and explore Split inside Diocletian's palace. Highly recommend.
Goran was a great guide. He showed us around the City. He is very knowledgeble about the City and Realy funny as well. Would definetly recomend Goran for my next visit.
A really informative tour with a knowledgeable guide who clearly knows the history of Split and Diocletian's Palace inside out. I learned a huge amount and the storytelling brought the old town to life. One small suggestion for the summer months: some sections involve standing in one spot for quite a while, and in the midday heat it became tiring for a few of us. It might help to include a few short seated breaks during the longer explanations — I've seen other operators do this and it makes the hot days more comfortable without losing any of the content. Overall a worthwhile tour and a great way to understand the history of the city. Recommended — just bring water and a hat if you're visiting in summer!
