Itinerary
Get the most popular tour from Split in your own arrangement! Indeed, Krka is one of Croatia’s natural parks. In other words, the Krka Waterfalls private tour is a perfect getaway for first-time visitors or those with only a day to spend in the park. Generally speaking, the drive from Split to Krka National Park is about 50 minutes long. Upon arrival, enjoy the walk through the park area.
Skradinski buk waterfall is the longest, best-known and most visited waterfall on the Krka River. It is formed by travertine barriers, islands and lakes. The waterfall can be viewed thanks to an extensive network of trails and bridges pass by the many watermills, including the ethnography collection that tells the tale of the economic history of Šibenik and the region.
Finally, you will embark on the boat that will take you down to the river to the city of Skradin. Skradin's position at the very entrance to Krka National Park makes it one of the most important nautical destinations in the Adriatic and one of the most significant tourist destinations in Croatia.

Had a great day with Kruno. He picked us up right at our hotel exactly when he said he would. We enjoyed walking around Krka park and enjoyed a fantastic lunch of Kruno’s recommendation. I had accidentally booked the wrong day, and they were very accommodating changing the reservation which was greatly appreciated.
He speaks English, drives well and is flexible. We had a fantastic day. Recommend going to Sibinek also. You might go in the late in the season like we did, Croatia is getting crowded with tourists.
Convenient and great way to visit the National Park. The extended time in Sibenski was an extra surprise. Would highly recommend.
Andrea was very friendly and helpful. She great recommendation to other things to do in Croatia and attentive to our needs. She also taught us a few Croatian words. We highly recommend her.
Damir was great! He was a good driver, accommodating and friendly. We had a great day and I would book again with this company!
Good day overall. The falls were quite amazing. Emil was our guide and driver. He did a very good job.
Pavo was an excellent guide for us today! He even provided umbrellas for us since it was a rainy day! The falls were beautiful! Only a few people were there so it felt very private. Trogir was an amazing town. We had lunch and were able to stroll the streets. I would definitely recommend this trip!
Such a wonderful day trip to a beautiful park. Our guide was timely, professional and friendly, full of knowledge and history of the area. The vehicle was very clean and spacious. We arrived at Krka around 10:20. It is a lovely walk or light hike, some stairs but overall not difficult. Stunning views of the clear blue green water. Several spots for great photos. We then had some food and took a boat into the town of Skradin where our driver picked us up. Then to Sibenik, the Cathedral is pretty and worth a stop, then back to Trogir. We arrived back home at 3pm. Would definitely recommend over the packed tour buses we saw arriving.
We had a lovely experience with Drazen as our guide. He was communicative, helpful, and fun to talk with! We really appreciated his service. Booking the tour was easy and efficient. I highly recommend!
We had such a lovely day, our guide/driver I think his name was Pave, he was amazing! Very friendly and recommended Trogir after our KRKA waterfalls visit. We loved Trogir and really glad we stopped there, he also stopped along the way to allow us to have a family photo in front of the beautiful view over Trogir. Highly recommend doing the private tour as you get the friendly service and care!
The views inside the Krka National Park were spectacular!. Our tour guide, Lea, was excellent and kept our large group together - even in the pouring rain. The side trip to the small village was very informative. The bus was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
I can’t speak highly enough of this company. Communication was great from booking the tour and picking us up! Our guide Mario was amazing , never rushed. Told us the history of the area and was just a pleasure to be with. We had lunch and wine tasting at RAK winery! Wow! Wow ,Wow! Wines were great, food fantastic! A highlight of our trip! We would recommend this company to everyone and make sure Mario takes you! You won’t regret it! We will definitely use this company again!
Great trip! Very friendly driver! Gave us great recommendations and plenty of time to explore. Highly recommend
Excellent communications with the company. answered all my questions right away. Price very reasonable. Driver couldnt have been better. Van in excellent condition. Will definitely recommend this company and will use it again.
We hade a really nice experience, our driver Mario also gave us nice tips and the Krka National Park was beautiful, a beautiful walk with lakes, streams and water falls. The boat trip for the pick-up at the end was also fun. The later visit to Sibenik Town was also enjoyable, we loved the old city center with its old special cathedral.
Had an amazing time with this tour! Bozo was so nice and we had great conversation on the drive. Highly recommend this tour especially for couples!
very comfortable drive with a very professional driver , all aspects of the trip from airport pickup to purchasing park entry passes handled by Marin were seamless , we had lots of fun along the way and not only had a great vacation but came away with a friend for life
The trip was amazing! Hrvoje was helpful, informative and polite. Will definitely use their service and recommend them to my friends.
With a last-minute addition to our party of 2 extra people, we were easily accommodated and had the most amazing day! Spent a good amount of time in the Park and the lunch at the winery was the best meal of our 2-week trip! Exquisite! Our guides were super friendly and made sure we arrived back to our ship on time. Definitely recommend!
After spending all week with 200 people & squeezed on buses we decided to book a private tour. Joseph was punctual & had great ideas to make the experience even better. We feel fortunate to have him as our tour guide!!
Visiting Krka National Park with Croatia Private Tours was a great trip, including lunch and wine tasting after at Rak family winery, which Croatia Private Tours arranged for us. Krka is the perfect place for a half day trip from Split to see a bit more of Croatia than just the beaches and islands. It is beautiful, peaceful, and pristine. The walk is relaxing, and not overly taxing. It was great for tired teenagers, and seemed to be a hit with families we saw with younger children, too. We saw all ages enjoying the park as much as we did. Marin, our driver, is super easy going and chatted when we wanted and left us to doze after our fantastic meal and wine tasting with the Rak family, a fourth generation family run establishment. You cannot go wrong with this trip.
Spent the day in Krka and at a local winery. Communication was great. Pickup on time and given clear instructions for our visit to Krka. We loved the local winery we visited and couldn't have asked for a better day.
Fabulous fine dining! Tuna roll with goose liver was delicious! Our waiter Nemanja was very attentive and answered all our questions. We ordered Istrian Pljukanci with Proaciutto Porcini mushrooms and BLACK TRUFFLE as well as Beef Tail Riaotto! Both were excellent! Definitely combing back for a second visit on this trip!
Matko picked us up at our hotel and we asked him to help us find a laundry service to drop off our clothes. He didn’t miss a beat found one and made sure we had time to pickup at the end of the day. The car was comfortable and the driver was pleasant. Our time at Krka was amazing then on to the wine tasting at a local Rak family winery. The local cheese and olives were the perfect compliment to the wines. We were relaxed and without a care the entire trip! We’ve hired them again for our transfer to Dubrovnik. Thank you Hrvoje and Matko for making our time in Croatia memorable.
Great experience overall and our guide (Martin) was good. He was more driver than guide, but did a good job getting us around. Krka park itself was very cool, but extremely crowded. It was also a pretty short walk (850m), which was a bit disappointing. Martin then took us to a very nice local restaurant, which was great (though not cheap).
We loved our day with Kristina! We visited the Krka waterfalls and two towns on the way back to Split. Kristina was so friendly and had a great lunch recommendation. Definitely recommend for a private tour!
Do this tour!!! Pros: you will get to see some of the most beautiful destinations in Croatia Cons: you have to go home at the end of the day
Henry was a great tour guide. Taught us lots about Croatian culture on the drive. Took us to Krka which was a beaut park. Then we went to a great local restaurant and taught us about local cuisine and wine. We then walked around Trojir which was a beautiful town. We were never rushed and after the trip he gave us great advice about other things to do in Croatia and places to eat. It was a great day!
Krka National Park exceeded our expectations. Beautiful place with an easy boardwalk stroll to see gorgeous waterfalls. Marin drove us to the park where he directed us through the park to a boat dock on the opposite end, allowing us to exit without circling back. The boat ride was also beautiful. This is a great way to tour Krka in my opinion, as I prefer not to be rushed and take many, many photos!
An excellent tour and tour guide. Henry made our trip, he provided us with so much history of our surroundings. He was polite and patient giving us chance to go and explore. The waterfalls are a must see and Šibenik is beautiful. Henry also recommended a stunning spot for lunch. Thank you so much for such a great day. We will defo be back!! Abigail
We had a wonderful time visiting Krka National Park and Sibenik. All our communications with Hrvoje and Marin were timely and professional. They accommodated all of our requests. Marin was extremely knowledgeable and told us lots of facts about Croatia. Our transport was very comfortable and air conditioned. Would highly recommend this trip!
We did a tour from Split to Krka National Park & Waterfalls; we got picked from our vila and after the park we did a small de tour to Sibenska town. Hvroje was amazing host, driver and most important patient with us (group of 7 friends); answered all the questions we had and accommodate the tour to our pace! Thank you so much for this experience
We did a day tour of Krka that included Sibenik. We met near Diocletians Palace and took a mini van with about 8 other travelers. We had a wonderful driver and a woman tour guide who made the excursion delightful. We decided on Krka because of the distance from Split( we didn’t want to spend all day in the car for Pitvivce) . Sadly when we got there it was raining , and although we had rain jackets we decided to buy 2 umbrellas ($4.95US) for the park. Both of us had on tennis shoes and I found it to be very slippery on the stones near the stores in the park, but once we got on the boardwalk it was fine. The park itself is stunning( fewer people in the rain, better photos too), we loved the falls( we didn’t swim but your allowed) and saw mountain goats on the cliffs. Stopped raining halfway thru the trip which was on your own( given a time to be back at van.) This was my favorite tour and a must see. Sibenik was also lovely where we had lunch. A lovely lunch of salad , bread, and charcuterie plate with a shot of moonshine... woah so intense! Our driver stopped on the way home for a vista break of the islands from the top.
Catch the first boat from Skradin and arrive before the crowds. Absolutely beautiful. Nice walking path throughout the falls
We went early to avoid the crowds and it proved to be a great decision. We had a lovely swim at the main waterfall - be sure to take some water shoes as it's very rocky & slippery. We entered park at Lozorac entrance where you park your car before buying tickets & taking the courtesy bus to the bottom. From there we did the circular walk back to the mail visitor part. The waterfalls on the circuit were lovely and there is lots of shade which was a relief on a hot day. We had also visited Skradan the previous day so didn't need to do the boat trip to there. Our limited time meant we didn't do the other boat trips to the monastery, etc. Well worth the visit but go EARLY.
We had a most enjoyable day . We were collected from our cruise ship and off we went to Krka where unfortunately it was pouring with rain. From there we went to a delicious lunch at a farm stay then to Trogir and finally our driver dropped us at Split airport. The car was spotless and our driver helpful friendly and communicative.
Our tour guide Henry, was great! He was very personable and fun to talk with. He also did a great job customizing the trip to our desires. He also took us to a great local restaurant that we never would have found without him! We would definitely book with this company again!
We had booked with Croatia Private Tours, from India itself, when we were planning our trip to Croatia. And we’ve had a great experience so far. Today we went for a trip to Krka national park from Split. Firstly it’s a big advantage to be able to choose your start time, since it’s a private your. We started at 10 am after a relaxed breakfast. Hrvoje (the owner) himself drove us. It was good that he took us to the entrance where a short bus ride takes you to the park. This is at a higher level, so we walked downwards to the main waterfall. It’s a 40 minute pretty walk on a wooden pathway over a meandering river. Once you reach the waterfall, you can go into the water, but it’s a tough entry into the water if you’re not too fit, as you have to go down over slippery rocks, and climb back again! Out of 5 of us, 4 were able to go in, so it was worth it! We were given 2 hours in the park, which was sufficient time to enjoy the walk and the water and to have lunch. Vegetarians get only pizza, and fries at the stalls there. The restaurant offers a spaghetti and salad. Toilets charge 5 HRK, so make sure you carry the money when you go there. On the way out, we took the boat to Skradin (20 min) where we were met by Hrvoje in the car. The boat leaves every 1 hour and is just 10 minutes walk from the big waterfall. In another 45 mins by car, we were at Trogir, where he gave us 1 and a half hour to stroll around the old town and the promenade. We didn’t opt for the ‘farm to table’ lunch, as most of us are vegetarians. Thanks Hrvoje for a wonderful day!
We toured Krka National Park with Croatia Private Tours this summer, and find the whole experience to be nothing but amazing. Hrvoje (Henry) is very responsive, knowledgeable and on time. The Krka Park is about 1 hour or so from Zadar cruise port. We spent about 2 hours at the park. It's truly amazing, a natural wonder. After our visit to the park, Hrvoje suggested we stop at a farm (Roca) for lunch. It's a farm to table kind of place, owned by a local family. The food was delicious and plentiful, truly nothing but Thanksgiving in May. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Hrvoje's company, well worth the cost. Thanks for a wonderful time.
Hooray for Hrvoje who is the owner of the company. He drove us, three in the party, himself. First stop Kraka National Park and due to the fall of the terrain was smart enough to take us to the higher point of entry so that the walk down would be easier and more enjoyable for us. At the bottom of the trail we took a boat back to Skradin where he met us at the quay side. The waterfalls and walk was much better than the pictures we saw on the Internet. Really really picturesque. We went for the optional lunch he suggested in a nearby village which was excellent. Then we were driven to Sibnek for a shortish walk, it being a small town. The return journey was on the scenic coastal drive. Having lots of contact in the trade he was able to recommend a private guide for us to walk around Split old town the next day. Highly recommend his firm, prompt, reliable and friendly. Even told us about Don Dino, the best ice cream shop in Split.
Damir was an amazing, sweet and kind driver who we will always remember! Thanks for everything. It was an expensive tour and worth every penny....only thing we were disappointed in was that we were told Klis Fort would be covered on receipt and it was not covered;( I would've been more vocal at the time, but didn't want to want to ruin the great day we already had. Wish we compensated after the tour, but we were not. Other than that...great company to deal with. Just be sure your receipts read, are as promised.
The way the trail leads in the national park is very impressive and in harmony with nature! A beautiful wooden path that is well designed and beautifully maintained. The waterfalls and nature around them are incredibly beautiful! Great experience!!!
