Private Plitvice Lakes National Park Tour From Split

Ivan was a terrific guide from beginning to end. I felt like I learned a lot about Croatian history during the drive to and from Plitvice. A worthwhile adventure and one I would definitely do again.

Our guide, Ivan, was great . He provided lots of information about the region during our ride to and from Plitvice. His English was excellent. He was wonderful guide and pointed out tips to us. He offered accommodations whenever we would need. He encouraged us to enjoy our and not to rush He was a great conversationalist and we had a wonderful time

Leaving from Split means a 2 1/2 to 3 hr hour ride to and from Split. It is important to leave Split very early to get in front of the crowds since you will be walking on boardwalks and moving by ferries to go between the lower and upper falls. The lines can be long. Plan on lots of steps and walking. We walked 20,000 steps. A better plan would to fly into the capitol of Croatia and drive down to Split, stopping at the Lakes on the way.

Ivan was a tremendously friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Plitvice Lakes was an extraordinary place, and it helped to have such an experienced guide show us the way.

What a beautiful area to explore. Good exercise too! Andrea was a wonderful driver and guide. We had just the right amount of time with him and then the last portion of the hike we were on our own and met him to drive back Great conversations in the car about Croatia customs and life.

Andre was the perfect guide for Plitvices National Park and we enjoyed a spectacular day. His knowledge of the park and Croatian history was fantastic and he was fun to spend the day with!

Guide was great. This is a spectacular spot. Long day but 100% worth it. Take the time and go. Lots of walking.

We had the great pleasure of being guided by Andrej on a Plitvice Lakes National Park day tour. We had an amazing day in this oasis. Andrej was very knowledgeable, interesting and a real treat to share the day with. My mum recently had a hip replacement, and Andrej helped manage the day so that she would not be uncomfortable. It ended up raining in the afternoon, but this didn’t dampen the experience. Thanks to Andrej for making it a great day out!

Driver/guide was a very poor driver. He seemed tired and veered out of lane many times. We felt uncomfortable the whole drive. Once we got to park, he struggled to come up with a plan that matched our schedule and fitness level. The park was amazing though.

Amazing experience at the Plitvice Lakes, incredible views, the color of the water, peaceful place. My private tour with Tiho was very knowledgeable, he was very kind, respectful and fun. I will recommend to do a private tour because there was crowded so if you like conform and wants to save time and know more the park it’s a better option. Thanks

Andres was our guide for the day on this trip - he was on time, informative, personable, and entertaining which contributed to the wonderful experience we had visiting Plitvice Lakes. Having a personable guide is very important when coming from Split because it's about a 3-hour ride each way. The Lakes are gorgeous! I recommend booking this tour with Labora Tours and even requesting for Andres if he's available.

We chose Labora Tours because of the excellent reviews and our experience lived up to our expectations. They were easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our questions and inquiries. Our private tour guide, Andres, was pleasant and arrived on time in a clean and well maintained vehicle. Although it was a long drive, he kept us entertained by telling us anything we wanted to know about his country. He had a great personality and a good sense of humor. The waterfalls themselves were not as impressive at the time we were there due to lack of rain but we were still glad to have visited it. The walk in the park was well marked and leisurely. However, I would find it unpleasant I think in peak season due to the sheer volume of visitors. In retrospect, it would be fairly easy to rent a car and do a self tour from Split but if you want to splurge on a worry free tour, then I recommend doing it with Labora.

Of all the tours we have been on around Europe, our guide Bojan was perhaps the most knowledgeable about his own country we have experienced. He really cares about his tour group and adds a personal touch to each tour. Overall this was a fantastic tour, to an amazing place, and I would highly recommend the tour with this company.

Our trip was wonderful. Plitvice Lakes was very beautiful. What made it even more special was our guide, Andrej. He was very informative, easy to talk to, and very accommodating. He really made the day the best it could be. Strongly recommend Andrej as a guide and this tour.

We had an excellent day visiting Plivitce Lakes with our tour guide Andrej. He not only bought us the tickets ahead of time to avoid the lines, but had brought plastic ponchos for us as it was a rainy morning. He was very patient and walked with us throughout the entire park! Afterwards took us to have an amazing “regional” lunch. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Thank you Andrej!!

Our trip was amazing. Andrej was the key. The park was great, but his conversation and interaction for the 2.5 hr trip (each way from Split) was great. Highly recommend.

This amazing work of nature has been carefully preserved yet allows you to enjoy the experience up close as you walk through the park on well maintained trails along the shorelines of cascading lakes and across their wetlands on elevated wooden walkways, continuously viewing picturesque waterfalls. Our guide Roko did a superb job of driving us to and from the park and escorting us on the walk. All along the way he gave us great insights into Croatia’s history and culture. His well-informed talks added greatly to our understanding of all we were seeing and helped make our visit to Croatia very memorable.

Such a great day we had with Tiho our guide. We started with going around the lake and waterfalls in the national park. Its a very enjoyable walk with breathtaking scenery. After a long walk we take a boat ride around the lake which is very chill and lovely. One of the best national park we visited in Europe! Our guide Tiho is so great he is very informative and entertaining, we laugh the whole day. Cant recommend this enough.
