Our guide was excellent. He was engaging and full of knowledge. Very good price. I liked that it was only 1.5 hours so did not occupy our day
The guide was excellent -=. Definitely 5*. However, advertised as max 15 to a group. There were about 35 when we started and agent was still trying to recruit more from people nearby. We paid a small group rate - more than £40 per person - to avoid large groups issues.. But the guide was brilliant, knowledgeable, friendly with excellent English.
Anthony, a retired history professor, was an amazingly knowledgeable guide. Tremendously informative about all aspects of the palace. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Great walking tour with Antonela. She explained everything, made us laugh and had great energy! Learned a lot during the tour!
This was a real history lesson focusing mainly on the Emperor Diocletian and how Split came to be. Fascinating and factual and perfect for interested history buffs or those who just want to understand and appreciate more fully what you are seeing throughout this fantastic City. Just the right length of time and level of detail and a perfect first choice for our first night here.
Wonderful informative walking tour of the Roman palace and area around it. Tour guide a local with excellent English and wide knowledge
First of all, she was so professional like my dearest historical teacher. The weather was rainy, but her smile was warm and kindness. She let me feel SPRIT not only a travel destination, also a historical city. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Great Guide! Made it very interesting and kept your attention the entire time. Added humor as well to history
Excellently presented, very bubbly and fun delivery. Wealth of interesting information about the Diocletian Palace and Croatia in general. Well worth the 20Euro fee
Very very informative! Our guide was energetic, friendly and engaging the whole time. We learned so much and saw parts of the town I would have never noticed. 100% recommend
Our guide was awesome, very knowledgeable and personable. We did an 9AM tour and there were only three of us on the tour. The guide spent nearly three hours with us, went over a ton of the historic details that are here in Split.
Excellent presentation. Knowledgeable and engaging.. so pleased I joined the tour. It was well worth the price and we learned more than we would have otherwise
Our guide Antonella was funny and informative. She gave just enough information to help us orient in Split for exploring more ourselves later. Also the group was not too big.
Our group of four only had a couple days in Split, so we chose the History and Cultural Walking Tour to give us some background on the city. We liked that Ancient Tours offered a smaller group tour with an earlier start time, so we were able to see things with fewer crowds. Our guide, Darko, was very knowledgeable and eager to tell us about his city. While the tour focused on the history, culture and architecture of Diocletian's Palace, we also enjoyed a performance by traditional klapa singers and admired a Meštrović statue in a public park.
