Diocletian's Palace, Klis & Trogir: Private Guided Tour

We had a wonderful experience on our private tour of Diocletian’s Palace, Klis Fortress, and Trogir with our group of six! Our guide, Nebo, was exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable, a university professor, and a fantastic storyteller who made Croatian history and culture come alive. Nebo was articulate, engaging, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. His passion for Croatia was evident throughout the tour, and we learned so much about the country’s rich history, traditions, and culture. His background and personality made the experience both educational and entertaining. It was also fun to learn that he’s a marathon runner! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring these beautiful and historic places with him. We had an amazing day with Henry on our tour of Split, Trogir, and Klis Fortress! This was the last port of our cruise, and it was such a great way to finish the trip. Henry was so knowledgeable, and hearing him explain the history behind the places we visited made everything much more interesting. We learned a lot throughout the day and really enjoyed exploring this part of Croatia with him. Something we really appreciated was how thoughtful he was. He even brought a bag of mandarins from his own tree at home so we could snack on them along the way! It was such a nice surprise and a kind thing to do. We loved that he thought to bring something from home to share with us. It’s a small detail, but it’s something we’ll remember about our day with Henry. Between exploring Split, visiting Klis Fortress, and seeing beautiful Trogir, we got to experience so much in one day. The places themselves were wonderful, and Henry added so much with everything he shared along the way. We would absolutely recommend Henry to anyone visiting Split and wanting to explore the surrounding area. We’re so glad we had him as our guide. We had a wonderful day at Split touring at the Klis Fortress and the medieval palace. Our guide, Nebo, shared his wealth of historical infomation about Diocletian Palace and the evolution of city.

Our guide Henry was outstanding! His knowledge of the area which we toured was incredible. His van was large and comfortable for our family of 6 adults. His personality was warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend him as your guide.

Our time with Henry in Split was our favorite tour of our 10 day vacation. We had a private tour with Henry and he showed us so much of Split and made the time with him so pleasurable. We loved hearing about what living in Split was like as he is a lifelong resident. We felt like best friends when our time with him was over. We just spent a delightful day with Henry touring the Split area. The walking tour of Diocletian’s palace was very interesting. Rode in his very comfortable van to the other sites finishing in Trogir. Having a private guide really gives you a feel for the area. Henry’s English is perfect and he has great knowledge of the history of the area. I’ve been on lots of cruises and he’s probably the best guide we’ve ever had. I wholeheartedly recommend using Henry

Great tour of fortress in Split. Hrvoje is very knowledgeable of the sights and the history. Trogir was equally great to visit. This trip was perfect for what we were looking to do and we were fortunate to have such an experienced guide.

This was a fantastic day trip And a great introduction to our first experience in this enchanted coastal town. Our guide Henry was extremely knowledgeable and organized the tour in such a way that the history and the culture of the Croatian people seemed to come alive as we walked through the old city. My wife and I are not inexperienced when it comes to tapping into the resources of local tours and we expect excellent service and information. This tour far exceeded our expectations. Best time we had on our vacation! Henry was such a great guide and made all the stories he told flow effortlessly into each other. Diocletian’s Palace alone was worth it, the view of Split from Klis was spectacular, and Trogir at nightfall, with all the Christmas decorations, left us speechless 🥳

This was our favorite tour while vacationing in Croatia. We absolutely enjoyed the time and tour with Henry. Being a native, he was well versed in the culture and history of the region. His passion and ability to take history and put it into a story was captivating.

We started our tour in Split. Henry showed us Diocletian's palace. What a wonderful structure hidden in plane sight. After that we drove up the mountain to enjoy the stunning view from Klis. We ended our trip with Trogir. Small but packed with history and beautiful buildings. Since it was october it was not crowded. Amazing guide, great value for money and the best half day tour from Split!! 10/10

Wonderful experience, great way to spend a day without traveling too much. Split and Klis were not crowded, Trogir a little bit due to cruise ships. Our guide was excellent with a great sense of humor. My favorite part was Peristil in Split (Diocletian's palace) Highly recommend to do this tour!

After booking this trip I spoke to Htvoje and told him I was a Game of thrones fan. He made slight adjustments to the tour and showed us all the filming locations ( cellars included). Split, Klis and Trogir. Hard to pick a favorite. Perfect tour!

Our tour of Split, Klis Fortress and Trogir is one of the best tours we have ever been on. Hrvoje was very knowledgeable of the area, speaks very good English and is extremely friendly and cordial. His car was very comfortable and clean. He took us to some ancient ruins near his hometown which was not on the itinerary. This was a nice surprise for us. We would highly recommend this tour and any others that his company offers.
