Duje, was an amazing skipper who was well rounded and knowledgeable, he took us around Split-blue lagoon, a spot to swim in the Adriatic sea and lunch in this beautiful quaint town. The water felt so good and still warm enough to enjoy for the beginning of Oct. I had a blast with my girls for my 40th bday. Highly recommend. The boat was top notch.

We are a group of 7 women and took the 1/2 day trip from Split to the blue lagoon. As a special treat we booked the premium luxury Saxdor yacht, primarily because the bathroom facilities on board looked very good. The bathroom on board was a non negotiable for some of our party, as we would be on board for 5 hours. However when we were picked up, we were told by the captain that the toilet was out of order. Had we known there was no bathroom facilities, we wouldn’t have booked this trip. This was an expensive trip and we didn’t receive the experience we thought we were paying for, so I asked Toni, the owner of Tamaris, whether he was prepared to offer us any compensation to reflect the shortcomings of the boat. Unfortunately, he said that, ‘the toilet is not an advertised feature of this tour’ and because they made 1 stop at a marina that, ‘they do no consider the onboard toilet to be an essential facility’. There are many photos of the bathroom on board the Saxdor on the Tamaris website, with no caveat text against them, so naturally we all assumed that it would be available. It was a shock to us all when the boat arrived to learn that this was not the case. We should have been informed prior to the trip and it tainted what was otherwise a nice experience. The absence of a toilet caused problems for some members of our group. Toni argued that he accommodated our request to be picked up later than the usual trip start time, so that should offset the bathroom issue. However, when I asked if we could be picked up later, he said it wasn’t a problem at all. After much toing snd froing he finally offered a 15% discount if we were to book another boat tour, which is utterly useless to us.
Tour was excellent. Our skipper was Josip. He was knowledgeable of the area and able to provide recommendations. Very friendly. The only reason this is a 4 and not a 5 is because they make you fill up the gas tank which took about an hour of our tour. Strongly recommend they include the price of gas in overall fee so we can enjoy the full boating experience.
Great experience on a very fast motor boat in Split. Our skipper took us to Trogir to walk around and also to two areas to swim off the boat. One was the blue lagoon and the other was a less crowded area. We had lunch at a restaurant and then headed back to port but not before we had to fill fuel back in the boat which took some time.
We took the trip 1/2 day trip from Split to the blue lagoon and ate at a nearby town. We had a large group so took 2 Ribs. Ribs where 24' clean and in good condition. Nice boats really. Our skippers Toni and Andro were friendly, courteous and very helpful. They made a reservation for us at a local eatery that turned out to be quite good. The pizza, salads and particularly the cuttlefish ink risotto was brilliant. We had a nice swim at the beautiful blue lagoon prior. It took about 45 min by boat from Split to Blue Lagoon and it was quite nice. Water is crystal clear and warmer than expected. No complaints. Group of 13 all had a good time. Would highly recommend.
Toma was an amazing captain! Our trip was fantastic and Toma did a terrific job taking us to different places and beaches in Croatia. Highly recommended!
Loved it—most memorable experience. Marin is a very good skipper. Took time to guide us. Highly recommended.
We had an incredible boat tour in Split, and Luca made the experience unforgettable. He was hands down the best skipper—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. He took us to beautiful local spots that we never would have found on our own and shared interesting insights along the way. Luca was also very accommodating, making sure everyone was comfortable and tailoring the day to what we wanted to see and do. His local expertise and relaxed personality made the trip one of the highlights of our vacation. We highly recommend this company, and if you have the chance, definitely ask for Luca as your skipper. You won’t be disappointed!
Marko was great! He picked us up right on time. He knew all the best locations. He ended up having lunch with us which was really nice.
We had an absolutely incredible day - cannot recommend this day trip from Split enough. Our skipper, Toma, was incredible professional, skilled, friendly, and knowledgeable and created the most wonderful experience for us. Couldn’t have asked for a better day!
I’m torn with this. On one hand, mad at myself for not reading the small print for the additional charges. On the other hand, saw some really beautiful areas and Capt Marin was top notch. Would be weary of the company but if you request Marin, you can not go wrong
Highly recommend this one!! The boat was awesome. Captain Toma was very fun. He took us to many different areas around the islands. Snorkeling was great !! Swimming was so relaxing. Toma was part of the family by the end of the day. He was very happy to tell us about his country and was knowledgeable. The boat was roomy and absolutely worth the money. This is a luxury yacht that fit our group of 7 adults.
This was a super fun day on the Adriatic Sea. Our boat captain was Toma. He was super chill and fun. I recommend the yacht for a group of 6 or more. We had 7 adults and it was plenty of space. The snorkeling was great and the swimming was relaxing. Thank you to Toma for a great family day on the water.
We had the BEST TIME!!! We had no special requests of certain places to go due to being unfamiliar with the area, so our skipper Marin had it all planned out for us. From snorkeling unique beaches to a seaside restaurant lunch reservation, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Marin was extremely professional and truly a joy to spend the day with. It felt like boating around with a friend!
We had a wonderful day on board the beautiful Saxdor boat as we explored Split and the nearby islands of Croatia. Our boat captain Toma was absolutely amazing. Not only was he an incredible captain, he was so friendly and had the boat stocked with everything we could want or need. We were able to see magical places, swim, and Crystal Clear water, and have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant on the water. This company is trustworthy, timely, and great communication. They are fantastic! I highly recommend booking through this company and specifically requesting TOMA!
I would highly recommend this day excursion from Split. Tomas picked us up, showed us the sights, and took us to great places to swim. He topped off the day taking us to a fantastic lunch spot. I would do it all again.
This experience is not for you if you do not have an idea of places in mind already. We got a young kid as the boat driver (still in high school). He did a great job of taking us places but didn’t really communicate with us or tell us anything about split, as some other reviews had suggested. Our tour consisted of going to 3 different swimming places (with a max time of 20-30 minute swims), old submarine locations and lunch at another islands. We also were not able to go to another island that we specifically wanted, we weren’t sure the reason. Captain fee is 100 euros and we also had to pay for gas which was 150 euros.
Had a great day with our Captain Marin, who took us to the quieter spots around Split and was receptive to our needs. Would recommend Marin and the company
Rather then go on som circle line tour on a boat packed to the max this was the best way to go short of owning your own boat. The boat was anew 25 ft walk around with plenty of room for the three of us. The captain Kojie was excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He suggested a schedule but let us pick and choose as we want. We visited 4 island towns, had an amazing lunch the the captain arranged. It was a full 8 hour day. Best day of our vacation. You should know in addition to cost of the boat there are additional fees for the gas you use and a fee for the captain plus a tip. Worth it in my opinion
Wonderful experience. Driver was very kind and professional. Each stop was amazing! Our jaws dropped at the military bunker - something we had never seen before. This will be a memorable trip we remember for years. Thank you to the staff for this beautiful day.
The boat was great but I had requested to go to brac and hvar which I was told was fine but when the skipper arrived we were told we couldn’t go there and had to go to other islands, there was no solid reason for this other than it was too far, we should have been advised of this in the booking not when we were actually on the boat
It is alot of fun. A surprise to us was the 350 Euro cost of filling up the gas tank. Way more than we thought, specially that we tried to visit islands closer to Split
Our skipper was Marko and I would highly recommend. Very informative and knowledgeable of the area. Visited Hvar, swimming beach, Milna on Vis and other sights. The water is so crystal clear & shades of aqua/blue. We had a beautiful day on the water. Keep in mind the rental of boat does not include skipper and gasoline - these are extras but to us - worth it!
We hired the medium boat with two couples and it was perfect for our day trip. Duje was our skipper and he was awesome! He was super friendly and fun which is all we needed though he was also an experienced skipper and we felt safe as he was chartering the rough seas on the way back to Split. We loved this day trip and loved the beautiful coast and waters around the Croatian islands. What a special place. Thanks Duju!!
Marin took us out for a great speedboat tour of a few small towns and the Blue Lagoon just off the coast of our pickup location in Split. It was a windy day given the storm the previous evening but he navigated the waves well in our small speedboat. We were able to visit smaller places we would not have been able to see in our larger cruise boat. Thanks for a fun and adventurous time.
Thanks to our great skipper/guide Duje we had an awesome time visiting the beautiful places outside Split like blue lagoon, a nice little town (dont remember the name) and a few more different great places. Our guide had a great mood and good energy all day long with us. Hes service was excellent and thanks to him we had an awesome day! Would strongly recommend
Duhe was an excellent skipper; he made sure the adults and kids were taken care of! I highly recommend this operator as everyone onboard had a fun relaxing time. He also recommended a restaurant for lunch where we had fresh fish. 10 out of 10! Thank you, Duhe!
A very good experience. We visit different islands, the color of the water was truly incredible. The boat was very comfortable and provided life jackets and snorkeling gear if you want them. The guy was very attentive.
I booked through Viator what appeared to be a Saxdor 33 yacht—the exact boat shown in the listing and confirmation. After payment, we were assigned a clearly smaller and inferior boat referred to only as a “large speedboat.” There was no real option to choose the Saxdor, and the app used a nonsensical Swedish translation: “storstor snabbbåt” (literally “bigbig fastboat”), which added to the confusion. No boat names or clear specs were shown—just one impressive photo (of the Saxdor), which turned out to be completely misleading. When I contacted the operator, they admitted the Saxdor wasn’t available and responded that “it’s only logical” to use the best boat as the image, even when that boat is not actually provided. That’s not logic—it’s deceptive marketing. We understood that the Saxdor wasn’t available and didn’t demand it. We simply expected a full refund, having booked under false assumptions created by the listing. The operator refused. ⚠️ This case is now the subject of a formal dispute with Viator and our card issuer (SAS EuroBonus Mastercard / SEB). If not resolved, it will be escalated to ECC Sweden (European Consumer Centre). Avoid this operator unless you’re ready to lose money for a product you didn’t choose.
Deliberately misleading and untrustworthy – avoid at all costs We booked what we believed to be a Saxdor 33 yacht – the exact boat shown in the Viator listing and in the booking confirmation. After payment, we were assigned a completely different and clearly inferior boat. When we contacted the operator directly, they confirmed that the Saxdor wasn’t available and said we had booked the “large speedboat” instead. However, the booking interface gave no real choice, and the translation used in the Swedish version was the absurd term “storstor snabbbåt” (which roughly translates to “bigbig fastboat”). No clear boat names, categories, or specs were visible — only one high-end image, which turned out to be not representative at all. When we pointed this out, the operator claimed it was “only logical” that the best boat should be shown in the image, even if that’s not the one being booked. That’s not logical – it’s deceptive marketing. For the record: once we learned that the Saxdor wasn’t available, we didn’t demand to get it. We understood that it had been double-booked or unavailable — and we were OK with that. We simply expected a full refund, as we booked under false and misleading assumptions created by the listing. Instead, the provider refused all accountability, and we were left to dispute the charge through Viator and our credit card company. ⸻ Bottom line: This company lacks transparency, integrity, and any respect for their customers’ trust. You risk paying hundreds of euros for something you didn’t choose — and then getting blamed for their confusing setup. Avoid this operator completely.
We had a great time! Marko was a fantastic skipper and customized a day exactly the way we had hoped. He found us a quiet swimming spot, a great lunch, and a unique wine tasting experience. We would highly recommend a day with Marko!
The boat is amazing and as per the photos… recommended route was amazing and skipper Marco was very helpful and kind
Our Skipper was Duje - he was absolutely fabulous! He listened to what we were looking for in an experience, and he nailed it. He was very professional and pleasant while showing us around. I would absolutely recommend booking this charter and ask for Duje if he’s available.
Amazing communication, beautiful boat, perfect day. Very flexible and easy. Jakov was so friendly and made us feel welcome on the boat and in the country.
We were a group of 10 people. We booked a large boat. Pros - - The skipper came on time - Transparent with pricing (upfront cost + skipper fees + variable fuel cost) - Extended the trip upon request at additional skipper and fuel cost Cons - - Tour starts at 9am and ends at 4.45pm from Split. So you only get under 8 hours, whereas other tours offer 10-12 hours with many islands - Because of limited time, you can only cover a few islands if travel includes Split and Vis which is 1h 50m travel one way - Because you start late, blue cave queues can get longer and tix might get sold out. Blue caves is best done in the early mornings. - Very limited water. For a group of 10, we hardly got 1 small bottle of water each for the whole day. - Even though we knew about the additional fuel cost, it was still a shocker at the end. The fuel gauge level at the start was not shared. We ended up filing the full tank. The large boat requires 50-60L fuel/hour. We'd have liked to know how much we'd be paying approximately. - There's no upfront communication about anything, what to expect, etc., except on the previous day when you are informed about the skipper name and meeting point.
The trip could have gone worse but it was still pretty bad. The trip started with the guide speeding way to fast until almost everyone fell on the floor or on to each other and one of us hit his head badly on the boat and maybe got an concussion due to careless speeding. After the incident the driver was in a bit of a shock and didn’t do very much until he realized how bad the situation was, after that he was really kind and helpful and was really sorry. He made up for the incident by being helpful and calling for help. This was an stupid one time mistake and can happen but still he should’ve known better. Everything but the incident was perfect.
Great experience with the family. Visited several islands and bays. Great captain. Took us to some nice restaurants and spots on the water.
Wonderful day on boattrip, with skipper Duje. Duje was helpful, pleasant and kind. He showed us nice hidden places. We would recommend him as a skipper🛥️ We swam, eat good food and visited nice cities.
Great day trip with family of eight adults. Would be good with children as well. Lots of opportunity to swim and see a couple island towns.
We had an absolutely unforgettable day on the water with Tamaris Charter and our exceptional captain, Antonio. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, safe, and incredibly enjoyable—even on a choppy day out at sea. Antonio’s professionalism and experience immediately put us at ease. He created such a relaxed and friendly environment on board, while always keeping a close eye on safety. The sea was quite rough at times during our trip, but Antonio expertly adjusted our route to avoid the most exposed areas, making sure we were comfortable and secure throughout. He communicated everything clearly and thoughtfully, which we really appreciated. Our itinerary included a beautiful swim stop at the Blue Lagoon, a serene inlet nearby, and a truly memorable lunch in Trogir, which Antonio kindly arranged for us in advance. The restaurant and setting were absolutely gorgeous. A special moment was when we picked up half of our group directly from a small marina near their Airbnb in the bay of Kastela, which Antonio suggested to save them the drive to Split. It was such a thoughtful gesture and turned into a really magical part of the day. The ride back to Split was fast, fun, and exhilarating—such a perfect end to the adventure. Fuel cost was very reasonable (around €100 for the day on the medium-sized boat), and given the level of service and care, we would strongly encourage others to tip generously. These guys really deserve it! Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned boater, you’ll be in fantastic hands with Tamaris Charter and especially Captain Antonio. We’re already dreaming of our next trip!
What an absolutely amazing day we had. Firstly the saxdor boat was brand new and beautiful. The trip itself took us to so many beautiful places, as we did the Hvar and secrets of Brad tour. Everything was perfect, the stops, the swimming spots, the lunch stop (restaurant was fantastic) but most importantly our skipper Jure made the day a 10 out of 10. He was FABULOUS and really looked after us for the whole tour, we cannot thank him enough and we are so grateful he was our skipper!! Thank you so much for just a perfect day in Split, as a family we will never forget this day!
Luka was our skipper, easy going, great driver; we didn’t have an agenda and he planned the day for 10 with lunch. Would do this again.
Would highly recommend this company for any boat trip round from Split or Trogir. Our amazing skipper Toni, was happy to pick us from from Slatine where our villa was and took us to some really incredible places, the boat was a perfect size for all 12 of us and I still can't get over the beautiful crystal clear seas of Croatia 💞
Marco was very knowledgeable about Split. He was extremely friendly and flexible. He made our day very special. We had a 90 year old in out party, who with very little help found it reasonably easy to get on and off the boat.
Great experience - nice boat, beautiful locations, responsible and nice skipper. Booked lunch at great restaurant. Best day of the vacation :)
Hidden costs of an extra 300 euro buried on page 3 of t&c No water Otherwise a fun tour Beautiful surroundings
We booked the Saxdor yacht a few months in advance of our trip, not knowing it was practically brand new to their fleet. What an incredible vessel! Plenty of room for us as 6 adults, plus more if you needed it. The communication with Toni was excellent and Marko, our skipper, was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We travelled to the island of Brac, had a swim in a very picturesque bay, visited a historical landmark and then Marko took us to lunch to an isolated, but incredible restaurant overlooking the sea. We then found another pretty bay for another swim before returning to Split around 5pm. I would definitely recommend Tamaris for your Croatian island adventures!
We fully trusted our trip to skipper Luka, and he did not disappoint. He was a fantastic guide on the water and took us to many wonderful places. Highly recommend this company!
We had Marko as our skipper and he was great. Super knowledgeable about all of the coves and different spots to go to. He let us choose what we wanted to do and when which is the best part. Having the freedom to choose where we went and having the “private” aspect is a must.
Antonio was brilliant from stat to finish. Took us to wonderful spots around the coast. Thank you again
