I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. My experience was extremely disappointing. During my stay, I was bitten by what appeared to be bed bugs, and I have been dealing with the bites for the past three weeks and have needed medication because of them. The hotel is very dirty and does not deserve its rating—it felt like a very cheap place to stay, not even worthy of two stars. The bathroom was covered in mold, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. On top of that, the entrance was incredibly difficult to find, making check-in unnecessarily frustrating. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend this property to anyone until they address the cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance issues.

Rooms are in trashed old mall which by owners in other review comment are "under construction" and no work is going- not even for entrance.... neighbors night club without any sound-proofing so You could enjoy beat all night. Wouldnt come back
Would be nice if the name of the place was showing on the main entrance. Took us some time to find it. Other than that it was solid.
Prima Luce is neither a boutique nor luxury and certainly don’t trust the pictures or 4 star rating. This is a classic case of bait and switch. If at one point the hotel was in a high end mall, that is no longer the case. The entire building is abandoned except for the single floor that the hotel is located on. It’s confusing to even get into the entrance once you get to the address and the front entrance is blocked and you have to enter in through the side alley (see my video). Now for the “positives”, once you were able to find your way in, check in person was friendly and nice and the room was just ok. It’s a place to put your head down to sleep while in Split but there is nothing else besides for the room. Eg) no restaurant, lobby, gym, gift shop, etc. And not to mention they never had enough beach towels when requested. The location is good as it’s right on the outside of old town and steps away from the restaurants and gelato. Would we stay there again or recommend it to people? Never. But nor did it ruin or vacation, it just wasn’t as advertised and what we were expecting.
To begin with, this is NOT a hotel. There are rooms built on the top floor of an abandoned department store. It’s kind of creepy when you get into the glass elevator and see the first two floors completely dark and run-down. I had to ask for a room upgrade because my original room smelled like sewage. My upgraded room was OK: no weird smells, a panoramic window, good A/C, clean, and a comfortable bed. The parking is very limited in Split. The “hotel” offered two options for parking: a public parking which costs around €38 per day, or their private parking for €20 per day. In photos, the €20 option looks decent, but when you get there, it is a run-down, empty house with overgrown bushes, no lights, only three parking spaces and very far from the “hotel” (by car 15-20 min and walking around 1 km away through Split’s walking shortcuts). However, the staff were super helpful, friendly, and diligent. To conclude, the main advantage of this property is its location, but I’m definitely not staying there again.
