This was a very nice tour to the Badlands and the Wall Drug Store. Our guide, Bruce, kept us informed as he gave us nice tidbits on the surrounding area (including a stop at the Minuteman Missile). The Badlands National Park made for great photos, and Bruce drove to several different stops to help us take it all in. It was a very fun time.

Itinerary
This is a narrated tour of the Badlands and Prairie areas. We drive out through South Dakota ranch country toward the Badlands National Park. We stop at the Minuteman II Missile silo (Currently open Tuesday - Saturday) to see a Missiles that was in South Dakota for 30 years. Next, we enter the Badlands NP with a stop in the park at the Ben Reifel Visitor Center for about 45 minutes. There are restrooms, a great video about the plants, animals and formations, and displays about the plants, animals, fossils, and early history of the Badlands. We drive the 30 mile loop road to Wall, SD with several stops at scenic overlooks and boardwalks for pictures and views of the dramatic landscapes of layered rock formations, steep canyons, towering spires, and mixed grass prairies. We usually see the prairie dogs, and sometimes see the Big Horn Sheep and some buffalo. This drive takes about 1 hour or more.
We visit the famous Wall Drug Store where you can purchase a late lunch in their dining room. They still have the free ice water that made them famous, 5 cent coffee, homemade ice cream, cake donuts and good food. There is a huge Western art display, 25,000 South Dakota ranch brands burned onto the dining room walls, a silver dollar collection (oldest 1878) and many other shops, historic photos, and displays. After spending time in Wall we drive back to Rapid City.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Jerry was a wonderful guide!

We really enjoyed this trip! Our guide was knowledgeable and the group size was small. And how can you beat getting picked up at your hotel! Door to door service.

Our Tour Guide, Jerry, very knowledgeable, friendly, and ensured we had a positive experience for our day.
Bruce picked us up at our hotel right on time and gave us a thorough, informative, and educational tour of The Badlands! A quick stop at the last Minuteman Missile silo was literally a trip back in time. Then it was time to tour the Badlands! Bruce knew all the best overlooks and photo spots plus had all the information about what we were looking at! Then we were off to enjoy a special treat - Wall Drugs! He gave us all the background info on the history of this little national treasure and his recommendations for lunch were delicious! It was a definitely a full day of touring, but we felt totally worth the investment! Highly recommend!!
It was wonderful! Seeing and learning about the missile was very interesting. The visitor center was great. Take the time to watch the movie. The Badlands were so amazing. Our guide Jerry was knowledgeable about the area, the badlands and the missile sites. He was great!! Thank you so much Jerry!!

Scott was our guide on three tours. He is very knowledgeable of the Lokota and the tours he guides. This Badlands and Wall Drug tour is a must see and do if you know the history of Wall Drug and you are into visiting national parks. The Chrysler van Affordable Adventures uses for tours is immaculately clean and has excellent air conditioning. Scott is an excellent driver. Scott provided snacks and water on each tour we took and we had all necessary restroom breaks along the way. This tour was simply awesome and breathtaking all in one. I highly recommend Scott as a tour guide and booking through Affordable Adventures. The price for this tour is very reasonable given the expert guide we had with Scott and the quality of the vehicle. Scott know the roads in these areas he guides. Special thanks to Anne (owner of Affordable Adventures) and Stephanie (Staff) they were so helpful in the planning of our trip, thank you so much. Folks thus is another must do trip to anyone visiting South Dakota.
I had an amazing time on the Badlands and Wall Drug tour with Affordable Adventure Tour. The views at the Badlands were beautiful, and Wall Drug was a very fun place to visit. A huge thank you to Scott and Ann for their amazing help. Ann was incredible before the tour started. She helped me find the perfect date so I could finally join this trip. On the tour day, Scott was a wonderful guide. He told us many interesting stories about the places and took great care of everyone throughout the trip. He made us feel very comfortable. The price is great and the service is excellent from start to finish. If you are looking for a great trip, you should definitely book this tour. You will love it!
Our guide, Scott was very knowledgeable and personable. We learned much about the Black Hills and the Badlands. I would use this company again.
The guide Scott was very informative. My wife and I learned much about the Black Hills and the Badlands.

Had a great day seeing and experiencing the Badlands and Wall Drug. Tour guides were excellent!
Wonderful experience seeing the Badlands! We were lucky enough to have Bruce again as our guide. He knows all the history of the Badlands and the best places to stop for photo ops. He made sure we got to go to the visitor centers which we loved! So much history and information! The lunch at Wall Drugstore was yummy and fun to visit! Would definitely recommend this tour!
Awesome tour! Russ was a great tour guide with a ton of knowledge. Never felt rushed and we were able to see plenty of The Badlands.
Ann Thompson, the owner, was our guide. A native of the Black Hills, Ann combined her extensive knowledge with personal experience. This resulted in a memorable day for my husband and me. Ann provided historic and geological background while stopping at outlooks of the Badlands with unique formations. We continued to Wall Drugs where she gave us ample time to enjoy their legendary lunch and to browse the shops in the Wall Drug arcade.
Our tour guide, Cheryl was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable on all areas of our tour. We had a wonderful experience.
I can't say enough good things about this tour or our tour guide Flo. We were picked up at out hotel on time and taken to one awesome site after another. While every stop was interesting, fun and entertaining, the Badlands were the highlight of our day. The beauty is breathtaking and each stop within the park was better than the next. Our guide Flo was extremely knowledgeable about the area, enjoyable to talk to and to spend the day with. At the end of the day, we were tired and happy. You will not be disappointed going on this day trip and having Flo as your guide!
Amy was our tour guide and she was great!very engaging and knowledgeable of our destination spots. All around great tour of the Badlands!
Great tour guide and he took us to the best locations in the Badlands. He was very knowledgeable of the Badlands and Wall.
Amazing wonderful breath taking views ☺️ Amy our tour guide was great and all my fellow travelers group was good.
I had the most incredible experience to visit The BadLands and the surrounding areas. My tour guide Anne was not only kind but super accommodating and patience. I just learned that the month of March is not a tourist season, and no tour agency wanted to drive me around because I was traveling alone. Anne was willing to do it, and very patient for me to stop for me to take photos and walk around, she did not rush me at all. She is very knowledgable and it is cleared she loves her job. I can't be grateful enough to have a Taste of the beauty God created for us in nature. Ann goes above and beyond to allow the person to enjoy the experience. Photos at instagram lizzieolguin. Grateful to Anne.
We had a tremendous tour thru the Badlands of South Dakota. Ann, our guide and driver, was really great. She knew the area and provided a lot of commentary on where we were and pertinent history. We also visited a Prairie Home site and a decommissioned ICBM site. This tour was upclose and personal. We were in a small van with Ann driving, so we got a lot of commentary on the area while going to the Badlands and returning. This is an excellent way to tour that part of the country. Ann is an outstanding guide and owner of the company.
Scott did a great job! Very informative and has a real passion for the tour. The Badlands was a great trip and Scott was a true professional. Would highly recommend!
