This was an excellent trip! Our guide Chris was awesome! He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He encouraged us to ask questions and was almost always able to answer them. He took us to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch! The personal trip for just our group was very worth the additional cost! I highly recommend this tour with this group!

We had a wonderful day with Chris! He was on time to pick us up in a very comfortable SUV. Chris is very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. I travel often and book private tours every chance I can to get and give my family the best experience after traveling to a new destination. In 26 years of travel this was one of THE BEST tours and tour guides my family has experienced. Chris was so knowledgable, personable and attentive not only to me but to my teen as well. If you are looking for a top quality experience anywhere in and around the Black Hills, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, I could not recommend anyone better ( and I do not say this lightly). We had a wonderful day, experienced so much and returned back to our hotel grateful for the day we spend on this tour.

This was a private tour. It was wonderful because it was just my husband and I with the guide. It's an all day tour so rest up! It was nice because we could stay longer at one site if we wanted to. We saw so much and our guide was great. It was nice not to have to worry about driving in unfamiliar territory and hearing so much about the area. We both got to enjoy the sites while being driven by the guide. We saw so much in one day doing this tour and I don't think we could have done all that on our own.

Great day! Mt Rushmore Chris did a great job showing us around giving us pointers on how to get around & take into consideration my husband’s disability! Then Crazy Horse same methodology! Then the Needles, custards state park pointing out all the areas of interest! Saw Many wildlife; buffalo, antelope, prairie dogs, & big horn cows! We had great weather & a great lunch of buffalo burgers! Thanks Chris!

My wife and I had the Mount Rushmore private day tour with GeoFunTrek. Our guide, Joe, was the best - exceptionally knowledgeable, very friendly and courteous, and very responsive to our individual needs. My wife has mobility issues and requires special assistance. Joe provided the necessary wheelchair and ensured she could access each of the fabulous sites. The tour itself is a great experience - we'll worth your time if you are in Western South Dakota. Being from the East Coast this was a fabulous experience. Outstanding experience that covered all 3 of the primary sites we wanted to see and have a guided tour with depth: Rushmore, Cazy Horse and Custer State Park we saw areas we would never have known about without Chis’ knowledge. We saw areas herd of bison that was in the hundreds, right next to the road in Custer State Park. The personal tour with just my wife and I was relaxing and very enjoyable, worth the investment and a highlight of our vacation.

John provided both an educational and unforgettable experience at Mt Rushmore. We are so glad we booked our visit with an experienced guide who elevated the whole day for us. It is worth the price of admission.

Incredibly wonderful experience! Chris is a very experienced tour guide who adjusted plans to accommodate my husband's limitations. We were able to see so much in 9 hours! And even though my husband couldn't keep up, he absolutely loved what he could do while I was able to experience a bit more. This tour gets my highest praise!

Chris was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We asked so many questions and he answered all of them. We needed a very slow walking pace and assistance in and out of the vehicle, but he never hurried us and we were able to see everything we came to see and more.

This tour was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish!! A bucket list item for many years and we were not disappointed!! Our guide, Chris, was exceptional..request him!! His voice alone was worth the price of admission. He needs to be on the radio! He is very professional and beyond knowledgeable about the area! He took us to places off the beaten path and away from the crowds to get the best kept secret views and pictures of Mount Rushmore and very little crowds. There is nothing better than doing the unexpected and ours happened to be feeding a field of donkeys carrots and apples. Highly recommended must do while in this beautiful and historical area!!

John was absolutely amazing! This tour, though expensive, is definitely worth it: in more than 8 hours we drove through the most beautiful and meaningful areas of the Black Hills, and all at our own pace, with no pressure. John was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable on all aspects, from geology to history, to mother nature's miracles. Exploring up close Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments and hearing their stories was inspiring. In Custer State Park we spotted up close hundreds of bisons, a coyote, many groundhogs, pronghorns... The beauty of all of this will stay in us for a long, long time.

The tour was fantastic! The guide was great: knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He told the history of the area and the monument along with the geological formations. He led us to the best viewing areas and explained changes at Crazy Horse that he had seen in just one year and why things were happening. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this tour

It was good. Your guide was friendly and fun to be around. Learned a lot about the geology and history of the area. Beautiful scenery and beautiful animals. Bring carrots for the donkeys. So worth it and we had a wonderful time.

It is a private tour so you can stay as long as you want, the guide is there with you every step of the way and grew up and lives in the area so he could show us really spectacular views and has a wealth of knowledge. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted watching the bison and we saw so many and up close. Took us to a fabulous place so we could eat lunch, but if want to skip it he is okay with that too. John with GeoFunTrek is who I will use to come back and see progress on the Crazy Horse Monument!

We took the Mt. Rushmore/Custer State Park/Crazy Horse tour with Chris. He picked up our two couples punctually at our hotel and gave us an extraordinary tour of the Black Hills. Chris is extremely knowledgeable on the facts and history of all of the attractions, and combined those with a lot of personal anecdotes to make for a great day trip around the area. He had plenty of water and snacks and moved us along at an appropriate pace, allowing plenty of time for photo and rest stops as needed. He's extremely personable and was a wonderful tour guide! We would definitely take another tour with Chris.

We went to Mount Rushmore, crazy horse, monument, Custer State Park and The Needles. Our tour guide Cindy was absolutely fantastic. She made sure we had the opportunity to see all the sites in all of these areas. She even took us off the main road onto a gravel road so we could find Buffalo. We saw quite a group of them. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that really wants to see these sites.

This was one of the best personal tours I have ever experienced. The guide is with you the entire time offering historic information and answering questions. Chris, our guide, even went into the museums with us and personalized that. We never imagined that we would see so many animals. We saw herds of buffalo with new babies, along with large donkeys that were so tame that you could feed them and pet them. Chris had hand sanitizer for us when we got back in our vehicle. This is the way you want to tour-get a guide! It is worth it!
