Captain Bryan is hilarious and a great story teller. We had a fabulous time walking and learning some history while in Charleston. We also had just the right amount of bites and drinks. Great Bachelorette weekend event with girlfriends!

Tour was interesting and fun. Capt Bryan is a fantastic story teller and just seems like a great person! He is definitely passionate about the topic, gives real historical stories, and is just a lot of fun. We really liked that the group was small (on purpose)—made for a much better experience. Would highly recommend.

I had a group of ten women, and Bryan was kind enough to give us our own private tour. From the very beginning, everything was seamless. His instructions on where to meet were clear, and we found him with no problem at all. Bryan’s knowledge of Charleston and its history absolutely blew us away. He didn’t need a single cue card or note, yet he shared an incredible amount of history, fascinating details, and stories throughout the entire tour. Even our bar stops and drinks were historical! We learned so much without ever feeling like we were sitting through a history lesson. He has a real gift for storytelling and kept all ten of us completely engaged from start to finish. What we especially loved was that the stories Bryan shares are all based on true events and real Charleston history. He brings the city’s past to life in a way that is fascinating, funny, and incredibly memorable. His sense of humor and Southern charm made the experience even better. He was warm, personable, quick-witted, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Our entire group agreed that Bryan was one of the highlights of our trip to Charleston. If you’re looking for a tour that is entertaining, informative, authentic, and filled with personality, book with Bryan. We truly could not recommend him more highly. He is an exceptional guide and made us appreciate Charleston on an entirely different level. Five stars without hesitation!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this tour. I had trouble convincing him to join a ghost tour but the way Captain Brian approaches the ghost stories with a history lesson made it worthwhile for both of us. The bars were lowkey but Captain Brian knew all the bar staff and the drinks came out perfectly. We were able to make friends with the other guests and even went to another bar he recommended with another couple after the tour. The final serial killer story was my favorite. Overall would recommend 10/10 and I’m even more impressed my boyfriend enjoyed it as much as I did. Thanks Cap !

This experience could have been much better. Bryan sent a text making sure that we were NOT intoxicated prior to the tour or we would be kicked out. This tour was more of a history lesson and wasn't scary what-so-ever. Bryan is a great guy but we expected more and that's why we were disappointed. We started in a pub and only had one stop during the entire tour. I think being a little intoxicated could have made it more fun!

Bryan was an awesome local guide. We had lots of thunder and lightning and passing showers so he had to make modifications as we went along and we still had an amazing time. I don’t feel like we missed out on anything. We started at an Irish pub where we had an app and some great drinks and cool local ghost stories then went on to more locations and another spot to get a drink. His stories were based on true historical people of Charleston and very interesting. Would definitely recommend!

This was a fabulous tour. If you're looking for unsubstantiated stories about people who didn't exist, even if they're good stories, this isn't your tour. But if you're looking for a history-based approach to the lore of this fascinating, complicated and beautiful City, you couldn't do a better tour than this. The group size was small to provide a more intimate experience and we all had a good time. Highly recommend and would do it again on a future visit.

Captain Bryan was wonderful! We had such a great time. We all totally enjoyed his Charleston ghost stories and the fact that he grew up there, was so helpful! He took great care of us all and are hoping to go back and take another tour with him! Would totally recommend if in the Charleston area!

Capt Bryan was entertaining and a wealth of local knowledge. He was measured and respectful in the telling of past lives who shaped his town. The presence of the past lives on. We met 4 other couples from other parts of the US. Good group size. Two stops for refreshments. Well paced.

This was a fantastic tour! My three friends and I all met in Charleston to celebrate our 60th birthdays and chose several tours ahead of time. This one did not disappoint! Captain Bryan was welcoming and informative and the stories he told were great. I think it was a huge plus that he is native to Charleston. The others who joined this tour were also very friendly and fun, and it made for a fantastic evening!

I went on this tour with a friend while visiting Charleston and it was the best guided tour in any city either of us had ever been on (and we are both well traveled). Bryan somehow managed to combine history, local food and drink, and what felt like stand up comedy into his tour. On the evening of our tour it was raining but he was able to be flexible and still run the tour seamlessly (umbrellas available for each person was a great touch). Would absolutely recommend this tour to both locals and visitors alike.

Capt. Bryan was simply AMAZING! He was personable and very engaging. The locations and bars were authentic and friendly with great waitstaff. This isn't your average "tourist trap" ghost stories. He used real history and gave credit where credit is due. His knowledge and facts (verified several) were on point and fun, not to mention female serial killers are just fun. I would take this tour again, for sure.

Captain Bryan is awesome! This was a GREAT tour! Bryan’s family has been in Charleston for 6 generations and it shows - his historical knowledge of the area was so impressive and he is a great story teller. Would highly recommend you choose this tour over the others if you’re interested in historically grounded tales of ghosts!

Charleston has such beauty and interesting history. This was a great way to start a visit in a place we have never been. Captain Bryan was an engaging and knowledgeable tour guide. He not only gave interesting ghost stories but also a wealth of historic information, plus suggestions on things to see while in town. He made himself available outside of the tour for advice and recommendations. There is only one appetizer option at one of the bars which cant be customized (we are vegan). It is a nacho plate which sounds really nice for those without restrictions. If you do have dietary restrictions and plan to take the late tour, there isn't anywhere to eat out after so recommend eating before the tour. It was a very personal tour as in January he wasn’t booked up. He gave us a lot of his own personal and family history having grown up in town. Bryan is a certified historian and knows his stuff. We learned so much about many things from civil war history to the evolution of southern cuisine influenced by what land was given to freed slaves for farming. Chilling well-researched ghost and boo hag stories were peppered throughout the tour. The bar stops were a unique way to sit and talk and learn more. I am hoping to book one of the other tours next time we are in town. In particular the women and wine tour sounds intriguing. I have been on many different tours of many different kinds in different cities and towns and always choose the ghost tours that have historical accuracy when available. This hits the top of our list. Highly recommend.

We had a great time learning about Charleston’s haunted history with Captain Bryan. Our trip started at Tommy Condon’s before hitting the streets to visit several cemeteries and graveyards. Hearing the ghost lore had us all searching for apparitions and wondering if we would see any shadowy figures in our photos. Great job to Captain Bryan for making this a memorable trip!!
