John was very knowledgeable and loves the City of Charleston and it's rich history. The Badass Broads of Charleston provided information about the women in Charleston's history that you won't get from another tour! Besides learning about these incredible women, he also provides a lot of other interesting facts and history about the city. Highly recommend this tour for women and MEN!

An excellent tour with a great, informative tour guide. He was very aware that his tour had 4 older ladies, one with a cane and made sure to lead us to the shade when possible and paced his narrative perfectly.. He answered all of our questions and we thoroughly enjoyed this presentation.

This was perfect , our guide Jonathan was knowledgeable, entertaining and was considerate of 4 ladies all over the age of 75. He shared lots of stories of historic figures, buildings and Charleston history from Colonial to modern times. His information on the historic women that he focused on were clever and unique. They had great influence on the history of Charleston but rarely if ever are mentioned on other tours. We wish he would write a book and we would highly recommend this tour.

The tour by Jonathan is not to be MISSED. From the start of the tour to the tour’s end, we were immersed in history and at times felt like we were living it. Best tour taken in a while! Tracy

It’s not too much walking! This tour was great, the roads/sidewalks aren’t too bad but pay attention when walking. There was some other tours happening too and you can see the horse carriage tours.

Jonathan's tour was such an unexpected delight. He navigated our small group through Charleston and took us back in time with the tales of the brave and intrepid women who made up Charleston's past, and recent past too. You can tell he is passionate about the subject and it is a tour for all ages. I highly reccomend.

The Badass Broads tour is one of the most interesting tours we’ve taken in our many years of going to Charleston! Jonathan is an excellent and enthusiastic guide with in-depth knowledge of the Badass Broads of Charleston. Thoroughly enjoyable and worth the money!

Three of us took the Badass Broads of Charleston tour, a couple of us live near Charleston and have taken several different tours of the city over the years, this was by far the BEST Tour! Jonathon was SO knowledgeable an a great tour guide. This is a must do when everyone visiting Charleston! The best tour ever!!

We take tours via Viator and Trip Advisor throughout the world. We’ve had wonderful experiences but THIS walking tour was EXCEPTIONAL! Jonathan knows how to weave a story and include a great deal of information into one story at each point. You will not regret taking this tour and learning the history of various Bad Ass women of Charleston and the importance of these women in history! Our niece booked the tour for the family and it was perfect!

Fabulous tour with Jonathan learning about influential women in Charleston's past. Jonathan, obviously, loves what he does and his enthusiasm is contagious. The time spent with him went by way too quickly and I will be looking to book more tours with him in the future!

Started almost 15 min late, d/t late arrivals walking up in the same group. Then, our tour went over time by 30 min.,(even when we were asked if this was ok, we politely said we had pressing appointments to prepare for…. We were pretty much ignored by our Guide). Our Guide said even he was going to be “late” for his next tour. This was d/t a combo of starting late and our Guide’s excessive talking at each of our stops. I also heard from the guide he had a choice of 9 or more tours he could have taken us on, however, we had no opportunity to select any of these options. As you can tell. I was unimpressed with this tour d/t the circumstances and organizational abilities of our Guide. Sorry to say, I definitely would NOT recommend this tour to others.

Due to miss communication between the VIATOUR documentation on this tour and the actual tour guide, we missed this tour. The tour description needs to be updated to advise customers that the tour guide will contract you before the tour with updated tour start locations. My friend and I were really looking forward to this tour.

We really enjoyed the badass broads tour from Jonathan. It was a great walk downtown with relevant information. I loved the focus on celebrating women during a time when women have been left out of a lot of history. I appreciate the use of intentional language to show respect and honor for the enslaved people.

Jonathan did a stellar job telling interesting and touching stories of Bad Ass Broads of Charleston. We have spent quite a few days touring Downtown Charleston, and this tour gave us history that helped us connect other historic facts we've heard. Learning about the men and women of Historic Charleston has been a fascinating plus to our lovely trip. I would highly recommend booking this tour and learn about these Bad Ass Broads.

This was a great tour-I happened to be the only one booked that day, so got a one on one experience. An excellent way to get the lay of the land in downtown, see some iconic sites, and learn about fascinating women from the area-some you’ve heard of, many you likely haven’t. 5 stars!

Such an amazing tour! I went with a Bachelorette Party. Now warning, the tour talks about very serious issues. But if you love history and have a group of feminists it's perfect for you. He gives a great mix of general Charleston history with emphasis on some really some amazing women. I would do it again!

Johnathan had a wealth of knowledge about the formation of "Charles Town," Gullah-Geechee culture, historical buildings, and the spirit of Charleston. My father graduated from The Citadel, so I have been visiting Charleston since I was a small child. Over the years, I have taken numerous historical tours, but this is my all-time favorite. We had an absolutely wonderful walking tour in Charleston this week with Jonathan Green! He was funny, personable, and an incredible storyteller. We took the Badass Broads tour which highlighted many amazing women connected to Charleston’s history — what a unique and meaningful perspective. I went with my twin 24-year-old daughters, and they loved it just as much as I did. Jonathan answered my many questions with enthusiasm and depth, and he even gave us a fantastic lunch recommendation that turned out to be spot on. Thank you!! Hands-down, the most fun and educational thing my friend and I did while we were in Charleston. I was amazed at the Badass Broads and all they did in the area and the fact that I had never heard of most of them before. Guide said the real name was Bad Ass Broads of Charleston. I was worried when he said that but as we went along it was great! Jonathan is by far the best tour guide I have ever had. He is not only great story teller of Charleston history, he is very passionate about that history. We did the afternoon “Badass Broads of Charleston” walking tour by J Walk Tours. This tour focused on women who made an impact on the history of Charleston. Jonathan was engaging and friendly. He wove his stories into the sites we saw a long the way. Johnathan is passionate about sharing these stories and has a sincere appreciation for the these women. He also touched on the history of slavery in Charleston. It’s not a feminist tour but rather tells the stories of these women. It’s not only for women! It was more interesting than I expected.
