We had an absolutely amazing time! Kevin was exceptional, made it very fun and beginner friendly, made sure we were having a great time and learning the ropes as first timers. 10/10 highly recommend!

My kids did this for the first time and absolutely enjoyed their entire experience. Our instructor was amazing as well as the photographer. Thank you so much and we cant wait to do it again. Thank You!!!

I cannot express how amazing this experience was. Our guide was phenomenal. My 2 children and my nephew had the time of their lives and even caught some waves. I wouldn’t hesitate to do this over and over again. The kids have been talking about this non-stop.

Fantastic experience with the 5-hour Fast Track lesson. Devin was my instructor and he made everything about the learning process simple and easy to follow for a first timer. Within only a few wave rides, I was up and comfortable. You won’t catch every wave perfectly but there was well timed instruction as you went on little things to work on. Overall, great experience and highly recommended!

We signed my 9-year-old daughter up for surf camp at Jack's Surf Lessons. She doesn't have any experience surfing and had a great time. The staff was kind and patient with her as they taught her something brand new. The camp balances getting kids out in the water and giving them fun experiences on land as well. We did the half-day camp and it was the perfect amount of time. Overall, I highly recommend sending your kid to camp here!

Great family experience. We have a family of 6 and everyone had a great time. Kevin and Ethan were very helpful in teaching all age levels. Kids want to keep learning how to surf so I guess we’ll be back. :)

My husband and 13 year old daughter did a class together. They had such a good time and the instructor was amazing. She did such a good job explaining everything and they learned a lot. Would definitely recommend!

Kevin was an 11/10 instructor. He was an AMAZING instructor and kept my daughter and I motivated, encouraged, and excited to surf again.

GOOD TIME AND VERY CONVENIENT. Kevin the surf instructor was very nice and good instructor. Paige was the coordinator on the phone and was very helpful. The surfboards were not in the best condition. Holes in the boards and luminant separating from the foam boards.

Kevin was our instructor and was great with our kids! He made the experience fun and had them up in no time! Both boys asked if we could take them again the next day 🤣

I’m writing this as a long-term warning to anyone visiting North Myrtle Beach. Years ago, I was stopped at 12:30 AM for a stop sign violation while visiting a friend. Despite explaining I had recent eye surgery and blowing a 0.00 on the breathalyzer, the police refused a field sobriety test and insisted I was "on something." I was arrested, taken to the hospital for a forced urinalysis, and verbally abused by the officer when I tried to watch my sample. I spent the night in jail and had to pay thousands in legal fees to be cleared of everything except the stop sign. Even the local legal system failed me—my own lawyer eventually admitted he wouldn't sue the city because he had a "good thing going" and didn't want to ruin his relationship with them. If you're a tourist, know that you are on your own here. Even if you are 100% sober and innocent, you can be caught in a system designed to take your money and protect its own.

Instructors were great. Thorough and professional. They were enthusiastic and Supportive. Our 15 and 16 year olds loved them. It could not have been better.

The instructors Kev and Evan were fantastic!! They made the experience easy and very welcoming! Wetsuit rental was optional but the water was cold so I definitely recommend, it makes the experience more enjoyable.

Kev was so patient and fun to learn to surf with. Can’t say I’ve mastered it yet but would do it again.

Fantastic experience from start to end. Took our four teens surfing for first time and they did not disappoint. From the moment we booked our lessons we had great clear communication. We were informed about the temperature of the water and provided wet suits to rent which made for great experience. When we arrived we were greeted with such a warm friendly hello. My teens all felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience they all have asked when can they do another lesson. We will be booking again sometime in future.

Coach Kevin is awesome, we had a great time and felt safety in big waves and cold weather.

SUCH a good experience. We have come to Myrtle Beach every summer to the same spot for 13 years and watched Jack's Surf Lessons Instructors work with clients and they always were so encouraging and really taught and helped the clients. Well my family finally got to BE the clients now that the kids were older (8, 11, 13) and Kevin and Em were so amazing! They explained things really well before hitting the water, and even with a crazy undercurrent and wicked waves, all three kids and my husband got up on the board to ride it in. SO many smiles and high fives! I was very impressed and everyone is already asking to do it again next year, but for longer than an hour this time!

My granddaughter had a wonderful time surfing. She was riding the waves all the way to shore. Kevin is an amazing instructor! His enthusiasm for surf inspired my granddaughter to love the ocean and surfing even more than she did before. I highly recommend taking surfing lessons from Jack's.

My kids age 8 and 5 had their first Surf lessons and were both standing up on the board and riding waves quickly. All of the instructors were just incredible and passionate at what they do (Thank you Jennie, Kevin and Paige!) My son was recovering from a wrist fracture, and they constantly checked in on how his wrist was and adjusting if needed. I highly recommend the private lessons, so worth the extra $'s, especially for young children. My kids are hooked.

Me and my God Daughter decided to take the “plunge” and do something outta the norm being from Ohio! Surfing lessons, we met Kev n Maria the instructors and we had two other ppl in our group. WOW….. it was a blast. Me being 65 n my God Daughter being 25 we took it head on. She picked it up in 3 tries and the team was ecstatic as well as the ppl on the beach. Idk we were part of the entertainment that day. I on the other hand not so well but it wasn’t for the lack of encouragement from the team! They had our back, totally felt safe and the experience when you finally stand n make it to shore. Deff a must try ppl. They want you to succeed but w/o jeopardizing your safety and comfort zone. They’re very attentive to this 💯💯. Enjoy life, take the “ plunge” with a new adventure even if you’ll nvr surf again. It’s the memories 💯💯. Amazing experience! The family we book this for had 4 young boys—one on the autism spectrum. The guides were incredibly helpful and supportive, provided everything for us and set it all up. Everyone had a blast. It’s an amazing experience, especially with your family. Highly recommend!

I did a 2 hour surf lesson with my niece. We were both able to get up and we had a great time. The teachers were very encouraging and helpful.

Maria is wonderful! She is at peace on a board in the water. She loves kids and connects with them effortlessly, making them more comfortable as they learn to surf!!!🏄🏽‍♀️

the instructors were great however the condituons of the beach and water were not really cooperative, had this been on another beach it would of been a great experience, however there was a bad storm an now that beach is really no longer surfable .it just wont get the waves needed, our instructors had to push us to help us get enough speed to ride

Jack’s was very easy to book with and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful! Kevin was a fabulous instructor. He was very attentive, thorough, and encouraging! My son’s 2 hour surf lesson was his favorite part of our vacation.

My family had a wonderful time taking lessons from sam. She was a patient instructor and very knowledgeable about surfing as well as safety in the surf. During our 2 days with her, the surf was it's very rough, and we did not have much luck in being successful, but she never gave up & was always cheering us on. The company was also good at helping us deal with an issue that came up.

I had a awesome time at jacks surf shop. The board rentals where affordable and the staff was amazing. No matter if your a beginner or expert jacks surf shop is the place to go!! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Myrtle ⛱️ beach.

Registered my son for their summer camp while he was visiting with grandparents for a week. He absolutely loved this camp. He was engaged, had a blast every day, and came home ready for a nap. He raved about the staff and other kids. Truly the best experience and he wants to return.

Two daughters and two teen granddaughters went. The guides were wonderful. I even enjoyed watching and taking photos from the shore! Definitely should be on your list of things to do in the area.

My children had a surf lesson yesterday and they loved it! They were complete beginners but by the end of their 2 hour lesson they got the hang of if it and absolutely loved the experience. The instructor was very knowledgeable and provided them with so much reassurance which boosted their confidence.

Our son attended Jack's Summer Surf Camp for a week in August while we were in Myrtle Beach for vacation. Our son had never surfed before and by the end of the week was able to stand up on his board and ride a wave into the shore. He loved the whole experience and wants to go back next year. The instructors were great and the whole team was wonderful in working with our schedule. Highly recommend for beginning surfers.
