Liz was incredible. Great stories, entertaining, full of knowledge.
Knowledgable and interesting tid bits about history of Charleston A true native with lots of perspective on Charleston.
Liz is an excellent guide! Her intimate knowledge of history and descriptions of the people evolved in Charleston’s founding brought it to life! Our tour flew by and we left with an appreciation of Charleston’s historic past.
Liz is an engaging tour guide with deep knowledge of Charleston’s history. She made the past come alive with her detailed factual stories. It was easy to picture Old Charleston!
We added an overnight stop in Charleston to a multi-week road trip about midway through. For every other location, we had thoroughly researched and planned what we wanted to do, but once we decided we'd be in Charleston, it was an easy decision to book this tour with Liz. I had been "introduced" to her via a podcast she does and just knew her tour would be excellent and thoroughly researched! We were not disappointed! The tour organizer provided excellent pre-tour information with parking and restroom suggestions before meeting at Buxton Books (a delightful bookshop worthy of its own visit). Our tour was an afternoon one. Everyone for the tour (six of us guests total) arrived early so we were able to get started. Liz wove stories about the history and people of Charleston through the ages as we walked through the old town and waterfront, showing us details of things many tourists would overlook. She is a gifted historian and it is evident that she loves her city! She is also very good at finding shade on a hot September afternoon! This tour is good for couples, families, friends, children - really, anyone who wants to see and learn about Charleston's history and its significance. We highly recommend this tour.
Our tour with Liz today was the perfect introduction to Charleston! We loved the experience and learned so much through Liz’s expertise and storytelling. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun, relaxed tour full of really interesting history and information about Charleston.
Liz was an absolute delight! It was clear she is a storyteller, and we thoroughly enjoyed her tales of Charleston and its rich history. Liz clearly loves this city and sharing it with others. I have been on many history tours and Liz gave one of the best I've been on.
I really enjoyed our walking tour with Liz. She provided a lot of interesting historical information and was funny and engaging.
What a fantastic tour!! Liz was a great guide. Her knowledge mixed with her eloquence and humor really hit the mark. I would highly recommend this tour!!
Liz was very charismatic with deep roots in Charleston. It was a great tour and kept me entertained. Living in the area, she shared lots of information I didn’t know. She also had lots of personal experiences that added to the tour. 10/10
Liz was a delightful guide. Her tour was the favorite part of our vacation to Charleston. She keeps her tour groups small, and that was a real advantage. She gave us the most interesting details as we walked through great parts of the city. We felt like she really wanted us to have a special time. Thank you, Liz!
Both I am my history-buff husband very much enjoyed the tour

Liz was highly knowledgeable, fun and had wonderful stories that brought all the building we looked at to life. We got some steps in, walked at a good pace including the French quarter, antebellum area, the battery/waterfront. Definitely worth it and more enjoyable that trying to navigate on our own. No brainer....just book this one!
We had a wonderful and informative tour with Liz that we would recommend to anyone and everyone especially if they’re looking for fun Charleston facts mixed with plenty of southern historical facts along with some local lore and current news.

What a wonderful tour we had with Liz. Learned a lot about historic Charleston and had a great start to our day in this beautiful town. Liz was very knowledgeable on the origins and development of the city as well as its role in the nation’s birth and history. We thoroughly enjoy our time with her, she is a Charleston treasure and a true delight.
Had a great time, the ghost stories were really fun to listen to. The graveyard was perfect, the best part of the tour. Our guide Jake was awesome!
This was an excellent tour that provided a fascinating overview of the French Quarter. Liz was a fountain of knowledge and local lore, delivered as only a multi-generational resident of Charleston could do it. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it. Thanks, Liz!
Liz was great!! So knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her city and its history. We learned, we laughed, and wondered if we heard whispers of those long past. Such a great way to experience Charleston!
Jake did a wonderful job! He is a knowledgeable and gifted storyteller. The tour was definitely worth the money. My favorite part was the Unitarian cemetery.
Well worth it … Jacob was a very good story teller and informative fun for an 1.5 hours better then a horse ride I’ll tell ya
Jake was our tour guide and he was amazing! He walked us through the graveyard and all around town. I loved the way he told stories and kept us entertained.
Our tour guide, Keely, was very kind and expressive! She told the stories very well and I was fascinated the entire time. The bookstore was also fantastic! The cashiers were very kind. By far my favorite ghost tour compony in Charleston!!
We had Keely (Theater Lady) who was very kind and really gave us an extremely immersive experience! 10/10 would go again!
Jake was very knowledgeable of the history of Charleston, and told several interesting ghost stories. He was very personable, easy to chat with, and made the tour very enjoyable.
Jake, not from State Farm, was an amazing tour guide. My partner, our dog and I really enjoyed the tour. We would highly recommend this tour in the future to anyone who would ask.
My family and i went on this tour and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable, was able to clarify info that we where confused on from going on other tours. She pointed out small details that you dont see on other tours. The tour is focesed on the buildings and there history. She is also a native by several generations. Will definitely go on her tour again!
I can’t say enough great things about Liz our walking tour guide! She is friendly and informative without over saturating you with information. She is a magnificent storyteller and took us through the old walled city of Charleston. Not only did she share interesting historical information but she did so with a story about the people who lived there at the time and their significance in history. We did this with a group of 10 girls on a bachelorette trip in the afternoon and everyone had a great time! One of the highlights of the trip.
Liz is an absolute gem! Her tour was the perfect blend of history, insight, and great pacing. She knows so much about Charleston and shares it in a way that’s engaging and easy to follow. You can tell she truly loves what she does and she’s a natural storyteller. Highly recommend!
Liz was the absolute best, hands down! She took a big group of us on such an informative and pleasant tour of the city. It was neat to learn she was a descendent of early settlers in the area. She also added humor in all she said and it was one of the best tours I’ve been on.
Liz gave such a great walking tour! She had tons of interesting stories and it was so cool to hear them from someone whose ancestors lived through it all. Great addition to our bachelorette weekend itinerary!
Liz was a wonderful guide! Very energetic and enthusiastic. Clearly very knowledgeable and a veteran guide. Kept us in the shade as much as possible.
Liz was absolutely wonderful!! She was so fun and sweet and she really knows all about Charleston! Highly recommend!!!
Liz is extremely knowledgeable on Charleston’s history and very personable. She made us feel right at home and the tour length and stops were the perfect amount of time. If you book a walking tour, book with Liz!
I throughly enjoyed the walking tour with Liz. She is knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and was ready to answer my questions. The tour was just the right amount of time to get a good taste of Charleston.
We have done numerous tours of Charleston over many years of visiting the city. Liz,as a descendant of early Charlestonians, a resident of the city and an author, brought a unique perspective to the tour. This your is one not to be missed.
Liz provided a very informative and interesting tour. Both my friend and I appreciated her knowledge and her love of Charleston. She also provided a great recommendation to tour the Nathaniel Russel house. We were disappointed that the promised bottled water was not provided. I received a text message a couple of hours before the tour which specifically stated bottled water would be provided so I didn't take my own. Well, it was hot and there wasn't time for me to stop anywhere to get water until after the tour.
Liz was incredible! She was like a walking Wikipedia 😊 we learned so much about the history of Charleston. She also has a great sense of humor!! Thank you liz!!
Liz was amazing! Her stories were interesting and compelling. The best part was the graveyard walk at the end. I learned about a bit of the history of Charleston from an 11th generation Charlestonian!
She was very informative. She seemed to know what she was talking about, very personable, and made the tour well worth the money spent.
Liz is an excellent storyteller and her stories gave me chills. We didn't see any ghosts but we still had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
We had a wonderful time walking around the city with Liz. She was a great guide for all the little spots that we saw. We learned so much. We were amazed at all of the history that she could recount as she strolled and brought the city to life as a great storyteller does!
Liz is a fabulous story teller with a wealth of knowledge about everything Charleston! I had a wonderful time learning about the history, architecture, and culture in the city. She also knows where to take the next pictures and ensured everyone captured the memory of their time in Charleston.
