The tour was nice but there were too many stops along the way and we ran out of time and did not get the "milkshake" that was part of the tour. In my opinion, there was way too much discussion and sharing about the home pricing and high cost of real estate. I totally understand the mention but it seemed to be the main point of the tour. I feel that we should have had ear pieces and the guide a device to speak to us rather than having to stop every few minutes to talk.

Pitt street bridge gives riders the view of Fort Sumter and Charleston Harbor. This park has wonderful views of the sunset, it is often overlooked by visitors but thoroughly enjoyed by locals.
This is the Old Village business district. This is the main filming location of Netflix show Outer Banks. These shops are stuck in time with a trendy restaurant and cute shops, there is even a 1950's soda fountain. This is a true hidden gem for Charleston.
This is a can't miss destination and a favorite for locals!! Riders will see shrimp boats, water sports, wild dolphins and have a variety of restaurants to choose from. There is so much to do here including sitting by the harbor and watch the sunset. Here we will ride on boardwalks and marsh walks to get breathtaking views
This is the access point to a brand new waterfront trail system that connects Ravenel Bridge to Patriots point.
This is our first stop at Patriots Point. You will get a broad side view of USS Yorktown with views of its deck that is filled with fighter planes. Riders may see Helicopters that regularly take off from this point. USS Yorktown is Patriots Points main attraction. We will also show you the USS Yorktown very close at the second location at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, this is an often overlooked but very up close perspective of the aircraft carrier. The Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina which is the home of the College of Charleston Sailing team. Dolphin sitings are common from this second location as well.
This is a large submarine that has been buried in land to become a memorial to submariners.

Great tour; enjoyed the ride around Sullivans Island and the history lesson! Would recommend! One person had a bike issue and the guide didn’t have a set of basic bike tools on him, which surprised us and should probably be a standard on a tour along with a first aid kit.
Wonderful tour and guide! We had a great time on a beautiful day. It got a little windy at the beach so you may want long sleeves and/or a jacket on a 65-70 degree day. We were quite comfortable in just long sleeve, dri-fit shirts and shorts or cropped pants though the owner thought we might be cold. Left for our tour at 1:30pm rather than 3pm which likely helped. Going fast on the beach was the best! Stay near the front of the group if you really want to hear the history part of the tour. That is the only reason I gave the tour a 4 rather than 5. Guide did his best but he was competing with distance and riders distracted by the view. Highly recommend for experienced teen riders and up.
Great experience; Ben was a great guide and had lots of local knowledge and also took great photos!!
Our family has gone here multiple times for regular tuning on our Rad Power Bike. We were looking to ship our bike cross-country and were lacking a wrench big enough to remove the peddles from the crank. Bryson popped them off in 10 seconds and gave us some good pointers on safely packing as we had never shipped an electric bike before. Thank you guys so much and thank you, Bryson!!
What an amazing experience! Highly recommend! Our tour guide was informative with a sense of humor. He even took and provided pictures of our experience. A repeat for sure.
Absolutely Book This Tour! The highlight of our Charleston trip was this e-bike tour with Ben. We saw how absolutely beautiful the surrounding areas of downtown Charleston are. Ben was so much fun, very informative, accommodating, and great company to spend the time with. We covered so much ground and loved every minute of it.
This was a great tour!! SO MUCH FUN! Teddy was awesome, the tour was informative and the scenery was beautiful. Ride on the beach was just fantastic! Take this tour - it was a blast!
The e bikes are a blast! We had a great tour guide around the low country, historic village, and the beach. Highlight of our trip to Charleston!
My husband and I made the spontaneous decision to rent bikes on our vacation and it was the best day of the week! Teddy and Ty were so helpful and informative about where to go and things to do and gave us a very helpful map with a route marked out for us. We absolutely loved riding on the beach (see photos)! Afterwards, we spent the entire day biking around Shem Creek and Sullivan's Island, stopping here and there for a drink or a bite to eat. In particular we stopped at Vickery's bar and grill and had a beautiful view of the creek and relaxed dining. Highly recommend! We really enjoyed biking around some of the side streets and looking at the beautiful properties. They had the bikes ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you for a great day!
It was fun to see Shem Creek, do a beach ride, and learn about the history of the area! The bikes were great for assistance and/or pedaling on your own. Thanks Ben!
We had a fantatstic time on this tour. Really enjoyed the ride, the learning, the views and the whole expereince. A no brainer for anyone wanting to expereince Charleston in a new way.
We enjoyed the speed of the bikes, but next time we would take more time to enjoy the scenery and hear the stories. Ty was an excellent tour guide.
The bikes in great condition, very comfortable, easy to use. A light rain started when we were about to start our ride, Teddy (owner) was very flexible to change the ride to another day convenient to us and we were lucky to have him as our guide. We had a nice ride around Mount Pleasant. Highly recommended!
We rode on Christmas Day, and there were no formal tours offered. The shop delivered our e-bikes to our hotel on Christmas Eve, worked with the hotel to make sure the bikes were charged and ready to ride, came to the hotel to show us how to use the bikes, and then returned December 26 to pick up the bikes. Each bike came with a water bottle, a rain poncho, and gloves. I honestly cannot remember the last time I have experienced such amazing customer service! And the bikes. Oh, the bikes. One of my lifelong dreams had been to ride on the beach. We rented the fat tire beach cruisers, and this girl got to ride on the beach! It was so fun. The bikes were simple to operate, powerful enough to get us where we wanted to go, and a joy to ride. I had never used a throttle, and it was an extra added burst of power. Ty, the owner, provided us with his cell number, so that if we did happen to run the batteries down, he could remotely unlock the van at the shop so we could swap out the batteries. All this on Christmas Day, mind you. Also, the bikes were fully charged when we began our ride, with all 5 battery bars showing. We rode a total of 30 miles over the course of the day. When we ended our ride, we STILL had all 5 bars. I own a Trek e-bike, and I spend much of my time worrying about running out of battery. This will most certainly not be a problem with the bikes from Rebellion Roads. I recommend doing business with Rebellion Roads.
My daughter and I had the best time! Our tour guide, Ben, did such a fantastic job. We rode the "Outer Banks" tour and finished with a ride on Sullivan's beach. It was a chilly but worth it. It was one of our favorite parts of our trip! Ben was awesome.
The staff at Rebellion was outstanding throughout the reservation to ride process. My family had a blast & will rent e-bikes on our next trip. Thanks Ty!
We had a GREAT time!! We rented the eBikes for three hours with two couples and three teens and had a BLAST. It was everyone's favorite part of our Charleston trip. Our skill levels ranged from expert mountain biker to absolute beginner and everyone did fine. The shop was great to work with. One of our bikes had a flat and we called them and they immediately brought us a new bike and added 30 minutes to our rental time - no questions asked. They were fantastic and we had a wonderful time. We would definitely do it again! Great experience.
It was ok. I picked this company due to the description of exploring Charleston. I even asked to be sure and it was confirmed. The owner and guide were great. The tour was boring and we just went around and back and forth in the same neighborhood. I expected more informative education. The stops seemed slow as to make the tour last longer. I did express how I felt to the guide. The rain made us stop before the best part-beach and lighthouse. No supplement offered for ending the tour early. Maybe my expectations were set too high. Overall, it was just ok. I would not do it again. PS-I am pretty sure the name and description of the tour is different than the name of the tour I chose online.
Taking the shores tour was the best thing we did on our trip to Charleston. Our guide Ben was amazing. He was very knowledgeable of the area and led us on a great tour. The stops along the way were beautiful. It was a great way to explore the Mount Pleasant area and learn some history along the way. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Charleston!
The e-bikes are a great way to take in and appreciate the Harbor and surrounds, in particular Shem creek & patriots point.
We had a fabulous "Shores E-bike Tour" with Trevor as our guide. It was definitely the highlight of our visit to Charleston! The bikes were great, the route was fun and interesting and Trevor was wonderful. He was knowledgeable of the area, informative, and very safety conscious. If we had more time, we would take another tour with Trevor and Rebellion Roads. It was well worth the money.
Our guide Reuben was very knowledgable and friendly as well. My favorite part was going really fast on the beach at Sullivans Island! If it is not super sunny make sure you bring an extra layer because it can get chilly at the beach. We really enjoyed the sites we saw here and the recommendations so we could go back for lunch the next day.
We had the best time! Our tour guide Ben was extremely knowledgeable & enthusiastic. The ride was very pretty & we saw many historical sites
This company is truly top-notch! The bike tour was amazing; we took the Coastal Shores tour and rode through the beautiful neighborhoods of Mount Pleasant, stopping to see many of the filming locations for Outer Banks and the like then over to Sullivan's Island where we hopped on the beach and rode to Station 28. Beautiful! Reuben was an amazing tour guide and was happy to take our pictures, stop for breaks, share information and just really brought a relaxed vibe to the entire tour. We didn't feel rushed at all and had the most fantastic time! Once the tour was over, they offered us a ride back to one of the harbor restaurants where we could have a drink and app while we waited for our ride back to the hotel. Truly above and beyond customer service! I cannot recommend this company or tour enough. Book them and have the time of your life! Thank you, Rebellion Roads, for making our trip so memorable.
The outerbanks tour was the highlight of our girls’ trip! Teddy & Rueben were the best guides. We had to navigate high tide due to a nearby tropical storm. They did not give up on getting us out to the shoreline. Our day was filled with adventure and laughter. We loved making Outerbanks show and historical stops along the way. There was time for plenty of photos and even an emailed video of our adventure sent within an hour. All 5 girls agreed that if we ever make it back to Charleston, we will make time to spend a morning with Rebellion Roads again.
This tour was amazing! Our guide, Trevor was fantastic! Very informative and safe! Well done and highly recommended!
This was our favorite activity in Charleston, SC!! We had a beautiful day, the trip was the perfect length and we got to see sights that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. The bikes were in great working order and our guides (Teddy & Rueben) were knowledgeable about the sights we visited, made sure we were safe, and were the NICEST guides! They gave us a short tutorial on how to use the bikes and it was smooth sailing from there. I am NOT the most coordinated person (and I'm old) but the bikes were so easy to operate and what a BLAST! My favorite rides were along the boardwalk, to the fort, and along the beach. I highly recommend this company and this activity if you are headed to Charleston - the BEST people, the BEST company, the BEST time ever!
We had a great time on our outerbanks bike tour. Our guide was very educated on Charleston history and the facts about the show! It was well worth it. We got more than expected! Thank you!
Great experience, easy instructions, and quality Ebikes. Thanks for ease of renting. Sanitized helmets.
Teddy was a great guide showing us some beautiful neighborhoods of Charleston including Sullivan Island and Shem's Creek and giving us some great history as well as trivia. He let us set the pace, which was at a real clip!
Great 2.5 hour e-bike tour with Quin our guide. We were really able to see and experience Mt. Pleasant and Shem Creek and the marina. Plus, the e-bikes are a blast to ride. Make this a part of your Charleston experience!
The Rebellion Roads tour is a must for a Charleston weekend! It was the perfect balance of history, modern details and riding! The guides and owners were incredibly kind and knowledgeable.
Great way to spend a day touring the Charleston Harbor! Teddy was a great source of local knowledge and made the experience easy and fun! Would definitely take another tour here!
This tour was so much fun! We had a phenomenal guide (Dylan). He was super informative and clearly knew the area very well. Bike shop was an easy drive from downtown Charleston and also easy to find. Bikes were very easy to use and in great shape. Highly recommend this tour to explore the area!
Dillon was an excellent guide, tons of fun. He was super informative. I would highly recommend this tour. Mount Pleasant is a wonderful area to explore!
I can not say enough about our experience (although I’ll try)! Our guide Dylan was fantastic!!! He’s a great guy whose knowledge of the history of the area (plus fun facts) was astounding. Plus, he’s got a great personality, was funny, had an emergency snack at hand for a starving daughter, and was the perfect guide for me and my daughters. We had a great time!
Employee was super nice and informative for our self tour of Sullivan's Island. He recommended a few food options which were great. The bikes were perfect.
E-bikes were a great way to see sites outside of Charleston’s historical district. We enjoyed Mt. Pleasant environs, its wildlife, and beaches. Our tour guide told great stories and let us keep the bikes after the tour to explore Sullivan’s Island at low tide. First time biking on a beach and it was a blast!
Only saw one house from outer banks, otherwise it was a tour through local neighborhoods. Definitely not an outer banks tour!
Great fun renting eBikes and going to Sullivan Island and Isle of Palm. We ranged from 25-66 and all enjoyed the bikes and route provided by Rebellion staff. It was a gorgeous ride and except the tiny bit of angst going over the bridge had a relaxing and fun afternoon. Bikes ran great and staff was terrific. Missed the narrated tour but still enjoyed the experience on our own.
It ended up being just my husband and me and Teddy was fantastic to spend time with, very knowledgeable, and great at explaining the E-bikes. Would totally do another tour with them if/when we return.
Absolutely a must-do experience! My boyfriend and I love to experience new cities and locations via bike…such a great way take in new sights, often difficult ti achieve by car.. This tour allowed us to see what Mt Pleasant and Sullivan’s Island had to offer, but in a more intimate way. The e-bikes allowed us to cover a lot of ground and were a blast! Riding through beautiful neighborhoods and riding on the beach was the highlight for us on this tour. Ty, our guide, was awesome. He’ll take great care of you. Highly suggest Rebellion Tours to anyone visiting Charleston!
Bikes are super easy to ride and really fast. We had a lot of fun riding down to Sullivans and playing on the beach with our toddler!
Very accommodating and helpful, we rented bikes not on a tour and, they still gave us some highlighted routes and riding on beach was a blast
Great excursion and fun activity for all fitness levels. Tour leader Dillon was great. Nice views of pretty part of South Carolina l.
Dillon was fantastic with his knowledge of the history of the Mt. Pleasant/Charleston area. He was very conscious of our whereabouts and our abilities to maneuver our bikes. He allowed us plenty of time to enjoy the sights and to let us stop several times to watch the water activities.
Our tour guide Thomas did a great job showing us unique spots throughout Mt. Pleasant and Shem Creek!
Our day was beyond great… Dillon was our guide we rode the area and got all the back ground . Saw the bay , bridges and fort we got the best guidance on where to eat and sights to see .. my kids can not stop talking about the tour
Look no further for e-bike rental! This place is awesome. E-bikes are excellent quality, comfortable, and easy to operate. I forgot his name (sorry), but the gentleman who served us was knowledgable and friendly. He pointed us in the right direction and even gave us an extra 15 minutes on the clock. Super reasonable - do it!
