Toured in 2016. Tour guide at that time conversational, leading & educating a group. This time felt leader was check marking us as her 3rd group of day. Had us on Halloween night = great opportunity to shine. She was theatrical without authentic relation to group. Couldn’t follow stories.

Need to be able to walk well and in unlite areas; wear walking shoes. Brandon was knowledgeable about his subject. Not a scary event so fun for teens but not young children.

The guide looked upwards instead of at the tour group. Her explanations revealed a poor knowledge of the historical context she was referring to. We left the tour early in disgust.

Our tour with Brandon was great! The smaller group size made this experience so special. Not only was it easier to hear all of the stories but it was also easier to participate as a volunteer (if you’re into that). I loved hearing Brandon’s stories from other groups and seeing the evidence he had taken over the years. If you are curious about the paranormal and want something fun to do while you’re in Charleston, you have to do this tour!

He tells him very good stories, very entertaining personal experiences and experiences with other guests on the tours I had to keep it kind of tame because we did have a child with us, but it was still fun

This tour was so much fun! Brandon is a captivating storyteller. It was the perfect blend of spooky ghost stories and interesting historical facts about the city. He made everyone on the tour feel welcome and emphasized the importance of remaining respectful while sharing the stories of real people. I like how the groups are kept small so it doesn’t feel too overwhelming or crowded. 90 minutes was also the perfect amount of time for a tour like this one.
