Wally was our tour guide and he was wonderful! He knew so much of the history of Charleston, answered all of our questions and had a great sense of humor. We saw many places that we would never have gone to if we hadn't taken this tour. The trolley ride was a welcome relief after walking around the city. A must do for anyone visiting Charleston!

Chef Karl was very good. I highly recommend him.
Great overview of the city. Your guides were very good. Would recommend
Great ride and knowledgeable driver. The Meg knew a lot of history and facts.. Thankful they where able to accommodate us last minute!
Very informative tour. The Meg (yes, this is her preferred name and it is the name on the plate in the bus) is a great tour guide. Funny, knowledgeable, adept with driving and talking seamlessly. She kept the tour interesting and insightful. Of note, this is not a hop on/hop off trolley per Charleston ordinance, but this tour is worth the price. Fully covered and air conditioning - very comfortable. Thanks The Meg!
We took the last tour of the day so we didn’t take advantage of the get off/on. Saw the city but it wasn’t as good as past Viator tours.
Tour Guide John was very informative and interactive with the attendees in the tour. His knowledge of the area we were cruising by was impeccable. We left feeling very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. Tour John was very personable, witty, and attentive to the needs of the passengers He well represents his profession!
Excellent way to see the entire city & get the story behind the buildings or area. Then, you can zero in on areas of interest. The Meg was our driver/guide. Was great at answering questions along the way.
The Meg was a great tour guide!!
Very informative. Enjoyed all the interesting facts on the old homes and how they have to follow certain rules to renovate. Highly recommend.
Good comprehensive tour of the city. Fair mixture of history, architecture and culture. Wendi, gave wonderful information and was an exceptional driver (from one bus driver to another).
A great way to get an overview of the Peninsular without walking miles to places you might not care about. Captain Matty was informative, enthusiastic and very well informed. The tour was just the right length and the stories Captain Matty told were informative and funny. He even had musical accompaniment. lol Do yourself a favor and book with Old Town Trolley on your first day and you will be able to plan where best to spend your time in Charleston.
Our guide was fantastic! I lost her card and name but she was the best!!!
Learned lots of history. Our tour guide (The Meg) was very knowledgeable and fun. Loved it! Great experience.
Guide was fantastic. Very informative and knowledgeable about the city and very friendly and accommodating
Very accommodating to guests needs. Fun and interesting. Shows architectural examples, market area and a stop at park to see Ft Sumter.
Wally not only was informative but he was also entertaining. This tour was a good overview of the city. Wally has a knack for blending Charleston history with local folk lore.
Tour guide John took us on a 90 minute tour of Charleston. We saw beautiful places, learned some history and enjoyed the sights.
Wendy our guide was great. Saw most of Charleston.
Very comfortable ride. Extremely knowledgeable and interesting guide. I would take it again because there is so much information and beautiful parts of Charleston to take in.
Great Tour! It was long enough to cover the highlights of Charleston, and still give us time during the day for other activities! Wendi our guide was Top Notch! She was knowledgeable, witty and entertaining. I would definitely recommend!
Meg was the best guide! Very knowledgeable abd great sense of humor! Definitely glad we did this tour!
Chef Karl was excellent! Very knowledgeable about his history! Would definitely recommend this tour if your looking for lots of interesting history!
The tour guide The Meg was just awesome! She was a very knowledgeable guide and great under pressure..one part of the tour was blocked off for an event and another part of the travel was detoured she still kept us entertained and it didn't throw her off which reflected how knowledgeable she is of the city. It's a must do if you're in Charleston
The Meg our tour guide was great . Funny and knowledgeable.
Great overall tour with wonderful guide named Lord.
It was a little hard to find the pick up point but Wally called to make sure we were coming and helped us find him. Wally was fun and very knowledgeable.
We started our weekend trip to Charleston off with this tour and it was PERFECT! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny too. Money and time well spent.
Mike did a wonderful tour of Old Town Charleston, including talks on some of the older buildings and their owners, important parts of Charleston history, and other interesting items. It was quite amazing, very knowledgeable, all from memory, answering our questions, and so on. Thanks!
Great historical information particularly -- so interesting to me about first churches and settlements of various religious groups -- articulate and smart driver!
Good experience. Meg did a very good job.
Saw a lot of the city and learned a lot. Expected there to be a desk to check in at. Also was told once about to leave that there are vno bathroom s until the end. I really had to go at Battery Park.
Ask for Captain Matt. Fabulous tour guide. Knowledgeable and a funny guy. A very comfortable tour for families, couples, or senior adults. Highly recommend!
Charleston has the best visitor center set up I’ve ever seen. It has a gift center/ information center and all tour buses for the city meet there . Our tour covered all aspects of the city and our driver/guide. Wendy is very personable, humorous, and knowledgeable. It was a great way to get an introduction to the city.
Not recommended. The tour was in a small bus. However, the A/C was not working. A/C is an advertised feature. I heard the driver tell dispatch it was 93 degrees inside the bus before leaving the station. It got worse as we drove. Breathing was difficult for my wife. It was very uncomfortable. When I messaged the company I was told my credit card would be reimbursed for the ticket price. Later, when no repayment was made I messaged the company again. I was told to provide a copy of the receipt and a cheque would be mailed to me. I did that. Today I received two complimentary passes. We live in Canada (which they knew) and won't be able to use them. That was not what was promised. Very disappointing service and response from a company I expected more from.
Lord Harvey, our conductor, was a blast. He had great energy, fun speaking style and ability, and lots of top-notch information. You could not have more fun on an hour and a half small van tour than this. We will do it again next time.
The Meg was knowledgeable, interesting and fun!
Had an excellent tour guide: Chef Karl (worke 40 years as a chef). He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, giving us insightful information & tips about people, places, & events. One of the most interesting tours I've been on. Ask for Chef Karl when you take this tour!
Capt Marty was a fabulous tour guide. Funny, knowledgeable, informative & friendly, Highly recommend!!!
Wendi was wonderful. Definitely knows her history. Well worth it. Comfortable ride. Battery at break time was breezy and beautiful.
What a great introduction to Charleston You meet at the visitors center and it has plenty of parking -but you do have to pay to park there. Instead of trolleys, you are on comfortable mini busses. The driver was so knowledgable that he hardly stopped talking. Great information all the way! I would highly recommend this tour on your first visit to Charleston!
Chef Karl was our tour guide on this adventure, and he was excellent. He explained everything, gave a lot of information, made it enjoyable, and he was very easy to understand. He was full of knowledge about Charleston. Leaving from the Charleston Visitor Center, with a parking garage right across the street, makes it very convenient. I highly recommend this tour.
The guide was excellent —- very knowledgable, humorous and interesting.
This was a great tour Chef Karl was wonderful and greatly appreciated him for knowing so much about the history of Charleston. One of the best tours I have had.
We enjoyed the tour! Our tour guide, John was very informative! The only problem we had was that he told us if we got off at the market, the shuttle was across the street and came about every 20 minutes. One of us walked with a cane & needed to sit down and we waited an hour & 20 minutes for the shuttle,
Marine Mike was AWESOME!!! Very knowledgeable charleston’s history and downright hilarious. He made the 90 minute tour very enjoyable. I would definitely go with Marine Mike next time.
The Meg was a spectacular guide. She was full of historical knowledge mixed with humor.
Comfortable seating, The Meg was our driver and guide and she was 5 star. Worth the price.
We would recommend this tour. We learned so much and had fun. As a former history teacher Mike made it educational and entertaining.
it’s in a bus and views are limited. Wally our tour guide for the trip was very knowledgeable and charismatic
