The museum is well designed, well researched and very informative. The demo of different kazoos and related instruments was really fun. The factory tour was surprising.
Cute and interesting. Never knew so much about a kazooo, but I do now
This was such a cute and fun experience! It was interesting to learn about kazoos - I had no idea how many instruments were related to it. Great activity for all ages!
Our guide Megan was amazing . She was funny and informative and so talented - it was a real treat to hear her expertise in playing all the instruments. A real virtuoso!! This was an experience that I didn’t even realize should be on my bucket list !!!
This was so unique and memorable. We got to see behind the scenes where they actually assemble the kazoos. My kids still talk about this tour!
Paul was a terrific guide. Learned more about kazoos than I thought possible, Enjoyed seeing the factory and making a kazoo too!
Don’t miss the Kazoobie Kazoo tour. It’s fun, it’s informative, and it’s unique! Megan was our tour guide and evidently wears many hats within the factory. She was friendly, funny and well-prepared. The displays out in the front that you can walk thru to learn a little general kazoo history are interesting as well as hilarious. If you want an entertaining tour for kids or grandkids or even just yourself look up the tour schedule and get yourself to Kazoobie Kazoos!
This was an entertaining, informative and educational tour. Paul was an expert in the history of kazoos and the production. Highly recommend.
Excellent time. Learned so much plan on going back again. It really was a fun day with my grandson.
Paul is perfect for this job. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It's a fun and quirky place to visit
We had a great time learning about the history of the kazoo and getting to make one of our own. It was a great adventure for the middle of a week at the beach.
Great little museum to learning about Kazoos and like instruments. Kids loved it and everyone gets to make their own Kazoo to take home.
You can freely look around the museum which has a variety of kazoos, tells of use in culture, and the history of the kazoo. Small, but packs a good bit in. But where this really shined was the kazoo and noise maker demonstrations! Informative and engaging. Then on to see how they assemble in this location and finally assembling your own to take home. The guided portion was just under an hour. Paul was a great tour guide!
So much fun and I learned a lot!
Paul was great! There's way more to kazoos than meets the eye! Fun place and people and a great company!
Most entertaining tour guide! We were captivated from start to finish and learned so much about kazoos. My 7-year old daughter whispered to me during the tour, “ this is really fun!”
Super fun experience, my three teens had a great time. Paul was a wonderful guide!
This was an unexpected find. It was a lot of fun to hear about the making of Kazoos and then get to see it in action. Paul was a fantastic tour guide and you could tell how much he loves sharing his passion. A fun time for the whole family. The tour and kazoo making lasted about an hour but be sure to show up early to check out the museum portion.
Had a fun time. Great way to spend some time, especially on a hot day, in Beaufort. Carl, I think his name is, was a great and silly guide. Just do the tour.
The kazoo factory tour was interesting. It wasn’t terribly long but it was filled with great info. There is a lot of information on the walls if you don’t want to pay for the tour. They have a shop to buy more kazoos if you want them, but you get one with the tour.
We had so much fun. Two seniors and one 13 year old - who knew we would all enjoy it so much! Interesting tour by Paul, too. We played those kazoos on our long drive over and over and over and laughed at hitting wrong notes or trying new sounds. We absolutely recommend stopping by this museum.
An absolute must-stop! My wife and I visited as part of our 25th-anniversary travels and had a fantastic time. Paul provided an excellent, informative tour, and it was incredible to learn about the volume of kazoos this dedicated team produces for the world. Great for musicians and an amazing experience for kids—highly recommended!
My wife and I were looking for something to do in Beaufort on a rainy day. After reading the positive reviews on trip advisor, we decided to give this place a try! The information about kazoos was very informative and our tour guide was very entertaining. I highly recommend the tour for all ages!
We had such a fun time! Who knew there could be so much to learn and love about kazoos? Our intro to the history of kazoos and whistles was highly entertaining and informative. Our guide was delightfully serious and funny. Kazoobie Kazoos are now beloved at our house. We got to make our own kazoos, and then my son got a wazoogle in the gift shop! If you're in Beaufort, make sure you visit this gem!
One of the funnest tours we've ever taken. The guide knew songs and all kinds of fun way to use the Kazoo and he made it very interesting. We thought oh this will be a silly cheap way to pass the time. We had a blast! Way more fun than expected but we're so happy we went. Phenomenal value.
It was a really good time. We were staying at HHI so an out an hour drive but well worth it. We never heard of a kazoo factory and museum so not just fun but different.
I love processes and factory tours and this was a modified factory tour and fun nevertheless. That's especially true because Paul demonstrated each type of kazoo he had from around the world. We are glad we went, bought T-shirts (being genuine tourists) and had no trouble finding the location in our rental car. We walked in to buy our tickets, it was not crowded on a Monday morning. This is good for anyone with a penchant for playing, adults and kids maybe over 6.
This was one of most fun activity we have done in a long time. The guide, Cliff, was personable and knowledgeable. Loved the video and history of this little instruments. We are in our 70’s and another on the tour was 3. Everyone had a great time. Then we got to make our own!! We bought a few enhancements, and I think Cliff said it made a Wazoo! Something straight out of Dr. Seuss. Definitely take some time away from the history of Beaufort, and laugh and hummm…..
A usual but fun experience.... the crowd was older (60s-70s) and we all had a good time. Our guide was quite good and very knowledgeable
We had family visiting for Easter. I have always heard such great things about the Kazoo Museum. My niece is 17 and my nephew is 13. We all had a blast. Smiles from ear to ear. Great staff very informative and interesting. I've passed on our great experience to others!
Great fun and history was amazing. Brought back the great memories of sounds from days gone by. Staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a great memory adventure and unusual bragging rights that you have been to the US Kazoo builders factory, thus is the perfect stop for you.
We stopped here as we passed from Charleston to Savannah. We did this as entertainment for my 11 year old. However, our entire family, including 16 and 17 year old girls, all thoroughly enjoyed the tour!! We learned a ton about kazoos (didn’t know there was so much to know!), enjoyed making our own kazoos as part of the tour, and not to mention the guide was so nice! It’s definitely worth an hour of your time and I think your whole party will enjoy it! Like they say at the Kazoobie Museum, “you can’t be mad at an event with a kazoo!”
I took my girlfriend on a date here since she loves kazoos so much, and we had an excellent time! Paul was our Kazzobie guide, he showed an array of instruments along with an outstanding ability to perform each one! We had a blast with our tour group, and everyone working seemed well versed in what they do. We really did learn alot while we were there. That knowledge alone was worth the trip. This was a fun and educational tour, it was family friendly, and Paul looks like a more handsome version of Tom Hanks. We will be visiting again with family soon! (Also I aint no bot, i’d run a 5k to go again) <3
Well let me star by saying, If you a child at heart.... Do not go there... as you will find a lot of fun and cool stuff. They also have a store (which is what got me in trouble) not just once but twice (went back the next day) and got some more things I wished I'd gotten on the first day. So in short if you are in Beaufort SC, Go to the Kazoo Factory & Museum & (Store).... Have some fun. I will go back again when in Beaufort, well worth it
A really great adventure. Learn about the kazoo how it is made and the fun things you can do with a kazoo. It is a musical drum, and with attachments can appear as a Cartoonish instrument . A fun afternoon trip for ALL ages.
It was a very fun experience. We learned a lot of fun facts about kazoos. A must do in Beaufort for all ages.
We loved the kazoo factory! We learned so much about the history of kazoos and got to make kazoos of our very own! Paul was an excellent tour guide!
We had a great time with Paul learning about kazoos and how to make them! Its an interesting tour for any age and easy to get to from Beaufort too!
It was a very small but nice museum with some innovative exhibits! Our “guide” Megan was fun, informative and gave a personal touch! We enjoyed the 45 or so minutes of tour, Megan, make your own Kazoo and playing lesson! We found it well worth the 14.5pp
We had a great time at the kazoo factory. Very interesting and informative. Paul was a fantastic tour guide! We will be back.
This place is pretty awesome, and pretty complete as far as kazoos and simple folk instruments go. We went for the tour with another couple and found we were surrounded by a group of very well-behaved kindergarteners. The tour guide was adept at explaining the origins and workings of the various kazoos and noisemakers, and quite skilled at playing them. Then we went into the factory and watched them demonstrate how they build their kazoos, and we each put one together to take home. The museum is full of interesting panels explaining kazoos through history to modern times, and the gift shop is chock full of interesting items, inching most of those demonstrated. I finally got a hand-made wooden kazoo to complete my collection.
Paul was our tour guide. Everything was excellent. It was fun and also very educational for children and also adults. Highly recommend this tour.
We weren't sure what to expect, but we had a great time. We toured the Kazoo Museum while we waited for our tour to start. It was interesting to see the history, and learn how many performers have used them. Paul was our tour guide a virtuoso on the kazoo. We watched two videos. Paul demonstrated the different types of kazoos, different sounds, and attachments for the kazoo. It is the only manufacturer of kazoos in the United States. The factory part of the tour is minimal. The body of the kazoo is manufactured in nearby Pageland. The resonators and the caps are added to the body by hand. The kazoos are weighed rather than counted for shipments. They make about a million kazoos a year. At the end you get to assemble your own kazoo. There is an American flag made of over 2,300 kazoos and caps hanging on the wall. The flag was assembled in the factory. It was so heavy they had to use a forklift to lift. It was too large to fit through the door from the factory to the display area, so they had to bring it in through the front doors. It was a fun visit, and one we highly recommend.
This was such a fun tour. We took our two granddaughters and they enjoyed it. They got to put a kazoo together at the end of the tour to take home. Paul was our tour guide and he was amazing. He was informative and funny making the tour enjoyable for all ages.
What a fun and great experience. Loved the tour and the place. We now know how to play the many types of Kazoos.
What a unique experience. Who would have ever thought of a Kazoo factory and museum being located in Beaufort, SC. Paul did a fabulous job conducting the presentation and tour. Hats off to every one at Kazoobie Kazoos!
Had a great visit to a very unusual museum with a great guide named Paul. Fun and interesting but Paul definitely made it extra special. There were six of us from 16 years to 78 years old. We were all quite pleased with taking a chance and visiting this place while visiting the Beaufort area.
PAUL IS AN AMAZING GUIDE! I went with my boyfriend as we found out about the kazoo factory from bible study the night prior and we had a blast (Literally. We bought a train whistle). At the end of your tour you also get to create your own kazoo! Highly recommend if you have a good 1 1/2 hours chunk of time to kill -- Beth&Noah
Who knew that a toy from everyone’s childhood had such an interesting history! Lots of fun! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
