Hilton Head Dolphin Tour – 2-hour Private Boat Cruise

A friend won this trip in a raffle. It was a fantastic trip with our Captain, Neil. There were dolphins everywhere we went and everywhere we looked. Neil commented that our trip was the most dophins he had seen on a single trip. It was outstanding. I would strongly recommend this trip.

We had a fantastic 2-hour private dolphin cruise with Captain Dave (from NJ) ! He has a wonderful personality and made the whole experience so much fun. He took us way out, where we saw SO many dolphins—including mamas and lots of babies! It was truly an unforgettable experience, and we would highly recommend Captain Dave to anyone visiting Hilton Head!

Our family took the 2 hour dolphin watching cruise with Captain Neil. Cruise was great. We range in age from 7 to 72 and everyone had a wonderful time. We saw lots of dolphins and enjoyed Capt Neil’s explanation of the various islands that we passed. He also stopped at one island where we collected sea shells. The boat was clean and comfortable.

Great time on the water with Captain Neil. We had two grandchildren with us and he went above and beyond to ensure they enjoyed the experience. Saw dolphins and went shelling on a private beach. Also felt very safe on a clean newer boat. Will do this again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family of five had an absolutely incredible experience with Hilton Head Boat Charters! We went out with Neil, the founder, on one of his speed boats, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The tour was completely customizable, which made it feel so much more personal than a typical boat excursion. Neil took us to Daufuskie Island, showed us several of the beautiful islands surrounding Hilton Head, and guided us through scenic creeks and waterways we never would have discovered on our own. The best part was seeing so many dolphins up close. They were playing, jumping, and swimming all around the boat. It was truly unforgettable. Neil was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared so much interesting information throughout the trip, while also making sure everyone was having fun. He let us swim, jump off the top of the boat, and tailor the day to exactly what our family wanted to do. If you're visiting Hilton Head and looking for a unique experience on the water, I can't recommend Hilton Head Boat Charters enough. Neil was kind, professional, and made our day absolutely perfect. We will definitely book again the next time we're in town!

We had an amazing time in this tour. It was affordable , too for a private cruise. We saw a bazillion dolphins, too and our driver was awesome !

This is the second dolphin tour we've done with HH Boat Charters - great experiences both times. The captains are so friendly and know their way around all the good spots for sightings. Having a small, private group size is just so much more enjoyable - totally worth it. Two hours on the water is just right - you're sure to see some amazing wildlife!

We had a great experience with Neil for a 2 hour charter. He was a wealth of information about the area and best boating spots. He was personable, skilled and treated us great. We saw dolphins, birds and beautiful scenery. It was a great trip and we will use them again!

Fantastic personalized, private dolphin tour with Captain Dave! We saw dolphins and learned about the history of Hilton Head island and surrounding islands. Great for family or age group. Saw dolphins jumping out of the water but can’t get TA app to upload properly

Captain Dave couldn't be a more pleasant and accommodating guy. We saw tons of Dolphins, Eagles and other wild life. His boat was in excellent condition and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Had a great day with Captain Drake. It was a beautiful day for our family of 4. Captain Drake gave us options of where we wanted to go/what we wanted to see. He was VERY informative about the area, the ecology, etc. He was accommodating in every way, including taking pictures. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Captain Dave was polite and courteous! Very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We felt very safe and entertained on the trip. Not only did we see many dolphins but we also saw three bald eagles! Amazing! Will definitely book another boat ride with him! Wonderful!

This was a fantastic private excursion and we loved it! Dave is a great Captain and very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We had all the wonderful things that we had hoped for in our boat trip, from dolphins giving us a show a few feet away, to zipping on down to other areas and seeing Defuskie and learning about it's history. We learned about oysters, Bull Island and so much more too!

My husband and I, along with our two adult sons, took this trip with Captain Neal and are we glad we did!!!! My son, who planned this trip for us, researched the myriad of boat charters in Hilton Head (of which there are many) and selected Hilton Head Boat Charters based on reviews. Well, the reviews were right. This was fabulous, and we can't imagine ANYTHING could have been better. The boat was clean and Captain Neal was extremely knowledgeable about the area and patient with our/my endless questions. He is also very personable which made the experience that much more fun. We were looking for a private charter that would give us a personalized experience. He delivered! A couple of notes: there are no restrooms on his smaller boats; no hints of seasickness (for which I am normally prone to); and wear a hat the can be cinched down or one you don't care to lose :) This was so enjoyable and the two hours went by in a blink. We wished we could have been out longer. I guess we will just have to come back again. Next time, we will include Daufuskie Island in our itinerary. Thanks to Captain Neal and his team for a wonderful experience!

We had a great time with our Captain Neil. He was entertaining and informative. He was also considerate about the wind and weather so that our boat tour was smooth and not too windy. Comfy and clean boat. We saw quite a few dolphins and lots of sea birds! All in all, highly recommended.

Couldn’t recommend this experience more!!! Beautiful new boat that road so smooth on the water - my mom has a really bad back and this ride didn't bother her at all. We fit 5 adults with more than enough extra space. Could easily have fit at least two more adults comfortably, probably more. We saw lots of dolphins and our captain took us wherever we wanted to go! We had the absolute pleasure of riding with Captain Dave from NJ - if you can, request him!! Nicest guy, so incredibly knowledgable about the island and area in general and he had some fantastic stories! My family and I have been vacationing here for close to 25 years and Dave had so many facts and stories that we had never heard and were truly entertaining. Also incredibly knowledgeable about boating and kayaking as well. We had such a fantastic time!!!

What a professional, safe, and relaxing trip and guide. The boat was clean, and well kept. Trip started right on time. The Captain knew the area, and had an exceptional amount of dolphin sightings. He was very interactive with my family and grand children. What a wonderful way to start the day.

Had a great evening with Captain Dave from New Jersey. Our grandson Lane loved "driving" the boat and granddaughter Lilly loved all of the dolphins and birds. Nice evening on the water in the beautiful low country. Must do!

This was an amazing experience for the entire family! Cole, our captain, did a fantastic job of showing us the area, pointing out areas of interest and finding SO MANY DOLPHINS! We have done a group dolphin charter a few years ago, but the private charter was so much better and I would highly recommend!

This is an amazing cruise. We loved our experience. Our captain was amazing. We got to see alot of dolphins n enjoy our afternoon n first time doing this type of cruise. We loved everything.

Fantastic boat trip with captain Dave. He was very responsive from the moment we booked the trip which is always a good sign. We have special needs with sensory issues and when I told him that, he said they would do their best to make the trip sensory friendly- which they did by choosing a slightly different route that was not quite as busy and away from any possible bad weather. The trip was very informative with all kinds of fun facts about the highland and surrounding landscapes. We also managed to see 6 to 8 dolphins (4 sightings of 1 or 2 dolphins) along the way which was nice. But just being one water was the real treat. Whole family (wife, 19 yr old daughter, and 16 year old son) all really enjoyed and it you can't beat having a private charter. Will definitely do this activity again if we come back. Captain Dave was such a wonderful tour guide around Hilton Head Island! Our dolphin cruise was perfect - he navigated around to find a ton of dolphins, allowing us to see them up close several times throughout the two hour tour. He is obviously knowledgeable about the area and we enjoyed hearing all he had to share. The boat was clean and comfortable. We'd love to go back again!

We absolutely loved our tour with Captain Neil! If you're looking for a professional, private experience at a really reasonable price, I highly recommend this tour. My husband, service dog, and I all enjoyed seeing the Hilton Head area from the comfort and safety of the boat. Directions to get to the dock were simple and you can BYO drinks and snacks. Would do it again without hesitation next time we're in the area. Great experience!

This tour was amazing! Captain Dave was THE BEST tour guide. We saw: - Newborn baby dolphins - So many other dolphins - Bald eagles (5) - An alligator in salt water - A nearly-tame blue heron (007) - Great egrets - Sandwich terns (who knew those were a thing) - Oyster beds Great history, great stories, we learned all about the ecology of the Intracoastal Waterway, and best of all, we saw newborn baby dolphins. Best boat tour ever.

This was a 2 hr family trip to see dolphins. Captain Dave gave us a tour of the island waterways along with some interesting history of the area. Even though this was the off-season, we saw more than a dozen dolphins in the wild. Fun experience, we'll do again on a future vacation. Thank you!

Our party of 5 had a great time with Captain Dave! We saw so many dolphins - throughout our 2 hour cruise. Captain Dave was so knowledgeable about the area and the dolphins. We all felt we had learned so much along with enjoying our time on the water. Thankfully it was a beautiful sunny warm day for early February. They’d had snow just a week prior! Would definitely recommend and do again.
