We had such a great experience with John Markisz! He was welcoming, professional, and made the entire tour feel fun and relaxed from beginning to end. What really stood out was how knowledgeable he was. He shared so much about the local wildlife, fish, plants, waterways, and even the history of the area, so it felt like we were learning the entire time without it ever feeling boring or overly serious. He explained things in such an interesting way and was always happy to answer questions, which made the experience feel even more special. You can tell he genuinely knows and loves the area and enjoys sharing that knowledge with others. I would definitely recommend booking with John, it was fun, educational, and easily one of the highlights of our trip!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ John was absolutely amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire experience so much fun. He made us feel comfortable throughout and you can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. Everything felt easy and well organized, and his energy made the experience even better. I would 100% recommend John to anyone looking for a great paddlesports experience. We had such a good time and would definitely book with him again!
Get out on the beautiful “creek” at Shelter Cove Harbor and Marina. Reese was our knowledgeable and spirited guide. We learned about and observed oyster beds and clutches, wildlife, tides and ecosystems. A sunset kayak which offered serenity, a little exercise and this evening a gorgeous sunset!!
The sunset tour was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour regardless of skill level. Our guide was very knowledgeable & personable; she made our experience wonderful.
Be prepared for a great tour with knowledgeable tour guide. The views were absolutely breathtaking and as a bonus I’ll get some fun facts about the ecosystem.
We had a terrific evening sunset kayak tour with our guide, Whitney Kitchen. We were fortunate to enjoy a private tour, just my wife and youngest son. We have been coming to HHI since 1983 and saw views and wildlife that we have never seen, not to mention many dolphins, very up close and personal. And, her support staff were extra pleasant, professional and courteous. We recommend Outside Hilton Head's kayak tour 100%. Thanks to Whitney for a large time!
There is no other experience like kayaking in broad creek. Being able to paddle in the channels through the oysters and grass was amazing. The birds and shrimp moving all around were fun to see up close. We were lucky to see tons of dolphins and crabs. The biodiversity of the creek and surrounding water ways is truly amazing. It is good for people of all skill levels. You will get wet from water coming off the paddles so come prepared.
Whitney was a fantastic guide on our sunset kayak adventure! She was extremely knowledgeable and we all had a wonderful time.
My husband and I booked a last minute trip while we were on vacation. Every step was simple and every person we spoke to was friendly and helpful. The guide, Whitney, was super knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. We didn’t see the bigger mammals since it was high tide, but we saw lots of birds and fish and other small critters, and the sunset was beautiful across Broad Creek. It was an excellent trip!
There were 8 family, ages 7-67. Cole is very knowledgeable on the area that we kayaked. We learned about and saw oyster beds, sea grasses, fish, birds, and tides. We saw dolphin, alligator, mullet and several shorebirds.
What a perfect time of day to kayak!!! Not too hot and the scenery was spectacular!!! Our tour guide Whitney was so kind & very knowledgeable. She also kept the pace so all skill levels could enjoy.
It was a wonderful experience. I have not kayaked in 20+ years but I had the best time and learned a lot from our guide Anna.
The sunset kayak tour was beautiful!! We took our family of four (two children, 7 and 8) and Kelly and Tim were fantastic with making the tour family (and beginner) friendly and informative! We saw all kinds of wildlife (including dolphins and blue herons) and learned a lot about Hilton Head! Would definitely do this again!!
We loved our sunset kayak tour with Kelly W.! Beautiful way to end the day and we learned so much about the marsh.
What a great tour and fantastic guide! He was so knowledgeable and helpful and patient with us! We saw so many dolphins! Baby dolphins! The sunset was amazing and we were very glad we chose that time of day and this tour. It was wonderful!! All of us from 45-82 years old enjoyed it!! 👏 Thank you!! 😊
This is the second time I have taken this tour. Our guide Shaun was excellent. He took us out into Broad Creek against the rising tide to see the sun set. There was almost no wind, and the water was practically like glass. Then after a while we drifted back in with the tide while we watched and adored the moon rise. This month's full moon was called the Full Beaver Moon. The moon orbits closer to earth than any of the other full moons this year. I cannot describe how peaceful it is to be out on the water after dark admiring the moon and stars as they come out. Outside of the occasional distant noise of some idiot driving over the Cross Island Expressway bridge with their loud car or motorcycle, it's quiet, it's peaceful, just you on the water in your kayak observing the evening sky. I can't recommend this tour enough.
Fun kayaking experience. Good for beginners and experienced. Learned about the area, saw several dolphins and other wildlife.
Alexia was fun and knowledgeable. The tour was 2 hours and she taught us so much. The sunset was absolutely beautiful and we would do the tour again next time we are in town. Thank you so much for a great experience!
