Our tour guide, Allen, was excellent! He explained safety measure’s to get in and out of the kayaks and river safety. Great for those not familiar these surroundings. He was very patient and knowledgeable answering questions along the way. I would totally recommend JK adventures!!!!!

Amazing tour through Congaree National Park on the creek! We saw lots of animals and the kayaking was so peaceful! Absolutely wonderful tour! Would highly recommend!
This was a great trip. Dustin was a knowledgeable, friendly , and good at spotting critters. He also served as our photographer for the trip so we didn’t have to have our phones out and could just enjoy the paddle. (He airdropped them to us when we returned to the launch.) It was an easy, slow paced, enjoyable paddle. Dustin had all the equipment ready to go when we arrived so we were able to set off immediately after our quick briefing. This was a unique way to see Congaree National Park and I would recommend it and this outfitter to anyone coming to the area.
A great way to see the park. Guides were very helpful.
We had an amazing experience on our Congaree kayak excursion! We had lots of information shared with us, saw an otter, enjoyed the humor of our wonderful guides and most importantly were safe, dry and well taken care of! Loved it!
The guide was friendly and professional. Enjoyed the experience!
Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed this kayak trip in Congaree National Park. We had three adults and three kids ages 14, 13, and 12. It was fun and peaceful on the river. We saw some wildlife and got to experience a different side of the park. We’d highly recommend this trip.
Highlight of our Congaree trip! Totally unique and memorable experience being right on the water for this tour via kayaks. The guides where incredibly personable and informative - they spotted all kinds of wildlife that we wouldn't have seen otherwise: barn owl, snakes, turtles, regional birds, and so on. No mosquitos on the water either. Would highly recommend as a family or couples activity.
Nice easy trip. Felt like a part of the ecosystem!
Awesome tour! Would recommend.
Amazing opportunity to see Congaree National Park. They took good care of our family. Really easy paddle
Our guides were knowledgeable about the area and animals. I have never kayaked before and it was such a relaxing and easy trip.
Nice easy going experience. Water is gentle and it’s not strenuous. Guides were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the wild and plant life. You can see they really enjoy what they do!
This was a very good experience. The kayaking was low-intensity, suitable for just about anyone. Since it was a pre-Spring trip, there was very limited foliage, which meant we had a good look at any wildlife there might be. Very informative guide re history of the creek-bottom, habits and habitats of the critters. Leisurely pace let us chat with fellow boaters and people fishing from the banks. Highly recommend.
Allen and Dustin were superb guides who were both very familiar with the local wildlife, park history, geography and kayaking safety!! The trip was very informative, relaxing and scenic! Highly recommended and a great value!
Amazing experience the kayak guide was very, patient knowledgeable about the national park and the animals that inhabit it highly recommend to anyone who has never kayaked before I think it's a must to anyone coming to the national park
We did the 3 hour kayak tour with them. There were 17 people in our group and 2 guides. They time the launch with the other two companies which offer tours so not everyone is trying to launch at once. We went in the winter so no bug issues. Saw a few nice birds and one turtle but that was about it. Very peaceful kayak down the river and back. Guides were easy going and knowledgeable.
We had a great experience on the river today with Dustin and his wonderful partner! Both did a great job sharing stories and fun facts about Congaree, its history, animals, etc. We saw several otters (1 got all the way out of the water in front of us - our first time seeing a river otter in the wild), a few turtles, and Kingfisher and small woodpecker. The Cypress and Water Tupelos were just beautiful and it was a picturesque ride. This was a very kid/family friendly easy kayak. Perfect amount of time and great temperate weather (despite a few minutes of rain). Guides were great with the kids and very helpful getting in and out of the water. They were very attentive and wanted to make sure everyone got a lot out of it. They took tons of photos of the group and shared with us at the end. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore Congaree by water.
Absolutely fabulous guided kayak trip at a leisurely pace. The kayak trip made a visit to Congaree National Park even more memorable.
Wonderful experience with a knowledgeable guide. In addition to the beautiful scenic surroundings I learned a lot about the flora, fauna, and the National park from the guide Dustin. This would be great for families, friends, and solo experience seekers.
We had an amazing kayak trip in Congaree NP. Highly recommend doing the trip. If you are nervous about the snakes and alligators just go when the weather is cooler. Saw no reptiles but lots of beautiful color in the trees. The scenery was spectacular and our guide was full of knowledge about the area and wildlife.
Excellent guided kayak tour on a calm creek. There were 6 people on our tour, all of whom had kayaked before. Wildlife was scarce, but the scenery was spectacular.
It was in the 60’s and raining the whole time. I really appreciated that they didn’t cancel. Guides were friendly and efficient in getting this large group in and out of the water. Too cold and wet for wildlife but a good experience regardless.
Had a great time on our kayak expedition with our guide Dustin. He was so kind and interesting, let us travel at our own pace, and talked about what we were seeing. We heard a lot of birds, saw several snakes, and enjoyed our very smooth and comfortable Kayaking.
Highly recommend this tour! The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and the kayak ride was beautiful and relaxing! An excellent way to explore in congaree
Very enjoyable and educational morning. My husband and I are both in our seventies and had never kayaked. Allen was very accommodating.
Booking online was super easy. I have booked with Fareharbor(the thirds party processing company before , so I didn’t even have to put my info in, that was great. The directions were easy, the guide was friendly (Dustin) and he pointed out some awesome animal and plant life. Great experience!
This was a wonderful experience, and one I will not forget. The two guides were friendly and professional. They answered all our questions, and made sure we were all safe and comfortable with the kayaking. They pointed out wildlife and other unique features in the environment. I highly recommend this for adventurers of all ages!!! We had families with children, teenagers, and even me (a 67 year old solo woman). Fantastic time!!!!
This was a great excursion! Very relaxing and easy paddling. The guides were great. Full of cool information, and some humor too. The morning tour was perfect, it wasn’t too hot out yet, and by far the majority of the tour is shaded by the forest canopy. 100% would recommend
The trip was easy and our guides knowledgable and helpful. They were always pointing out animals and plant life someone unfamiliar with the swamp might miss.
A very relaxing experience. I had never been in a kayak and had no problem. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
We had a great afternoon with Dustin and Justine. They made us feel safe and secure, the paddling was easy, and the natural environment was delightful. This trip is a must if you want to really experience Congaree.
Well organized, efficient, personable guides. It made for a very enjoyable morning. They got a range of ages in and out of kayaks efficiently and safely. I would definitely recommend. I am a 63 yr old of average fitness and was solo for this trip. Very safe.
Very pleasant 4 hour float. Surprisingly did NOT feel crowded with more than 15 people. Both guides were professional and informative.
A wonderful experience. Peaceful and relaxing. My husband and I are in our 70s. We were able to get in and out of the kayaks without too much difficulty. The guides were great guys and had a lot of knowledge of the area and wildlife. Bonus—nearly no bothersome mosquitoes!! Highly recommend the company, but also this time of year.
Our tour was an incredible experience from start to finish! Dustin was our guide and was completely prepared for our family! He was engaging and knowledgeable- sharing tidbits about the area, the wildlife, and history of SC. (He even gave us some great tips for when we venture down to Charleston!) Our trip was a lovely pace and serene, full of picturesque moments and wildlife. Dustin took a ton of pictures of our family along the way which he happily airdropped to us at our return. We had a wonderful time!
A beautiful kayak trip. Allen did a great job of giving lots of information and also allowing for the quiet and beauty of the place. I liked the fact that the current is so gentle as to make it an out and back trip. Congaree is a gorgeous unique place and this is a wonderful way to see it. Highly recommend.!
After meeting our JK Adventure guides, we set off into Congaree National Park for our first kayaking adventure. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and adapted to the pace of our group, making the experience enjoyable and comfortable for everyone. The views along the tour were absolutely breathtaking—paddling through the pristine landscape felt like stepping back in time. We usually stick to hiking or biking, but we’re so glad we chose this kayaking tour. It’s a unique way to experience the beauty of the park, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering it. It’s absolutely worth it!
It was a very pleasant experience with JK adventure guides. Both guided Justin and Doug were amazing. I was kayaking for the first time on my own, and they really were watching patiently over, while navigating and guiding. Their young helper too was kind helper and very professional. We saw many water snakes and other flaura and fauna uniquely found in Congaree NP. Excellent experience!
